Speaker 1:I said he just seriously he don't get fans like we we podcasting, podcasting today, but big show this weekend, this Saturday, one of the big three, big four, however you want to put it, it's the Royal Rumble this Saturday. We know how WWE does it big for the Royal Rumble. They don't have too many matches on the card, thankfully, but things are a little bit special. Well, not really, but I think it is because it's in Indianapolis. Just a quick little story Driving home from work. Bit special. Well, not really, but I think it is because it's in Indianapolis. Speaker 1:We live in Louisville, kentucky, but I work in Indiana. I be in Indiana but I was driving back home, coming across the bridge, I see like five big tractor trailers, 18 wheelers, with the WWE brand that had the Indianapolis. I'm like damn, it's like. Right down the road I have a couple friends going to the Royal Rumble. Friend of the pod, chris Mattingly. He will be there. He may come on to share his experience next week, but we'll see if he's got the time. How are you feeling? Royal Rumble, indianapolis Excited for it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I'm always excited for one of the big four. I'm excited for one of the big four, especially Royal Rumble, because you don't know who's coming back, when they're going to come back, how they're going to come back. You want to see how it plays out. It is very much its own storyline in a match.
Speaker 1:Oh man, I love it man much. Its own storyline in a match. Oh man, I love it, man. It's all types of stuff. So you know, we're going to do our confident point prediction. Shout out to Steven Larson and the Going In Raw podcast. Stole this from them. They do confident points predictions. What we do is we predict a match, who we think is going to win, but we give it a unique confident point number, since there's only one, two, three, four matches. The match you have the most confidence in, you put four. The match you have the least confidence in, you put one. I imagine the Royal Rumbles is probably going to be the one and two. It's been a while since we did this one. It seems like WWE took a lot, a long time before they had a PLE. We had a couple Saturday night main events. We didn't predict those because it was too predictable. Last time was Crown Jewel, if I'm not mistaken right.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I think so. Yeah, it was Crown Jewel, but looking at what happened.

Speaker 2:Before we get to that, do you think they should have a PLE sometime in January?
Speaker 1:I feel like they should have had something. I mean, obviously I think last year they had a chance to do it, but day one. I like the concept of day one. Obviously you can't do it every year because why can't you Think about it Really?
Speaker 2:New Year's Day, a lot of people is off. Why can't you do a day one every year?
Speaker 1:I mean, it just depends on when it falls. I mean, if it falls on a, not a weekend, I don't know how they would manage that, man people. If it falls on not a weekend, I don't know how they would manage that. Maybe we'll be at home. It's true, you're not wrong. But yeah, I think it was a big gap between Crown Jewel and the Red Room. Obviously, they had the Saturday night main event to cushion it a little bit and they really had January 6th Raw on Netflix. They tried to build that. Yeah. Yeah. Good point, good point, yeah, so, but let's go ahead and get into it. Like I said, q mopped the floor with me last time with crown jewel, 17 to 11. So I gotta get my get back. But let's go ahead and start it off again.
Speaker 1:Four match card, two matches in two royal rumble matches. First match uh, I imagine this is going to be squeezed in the middle somewhere. I'm sure one of the rooms is going to open, the other one's going to close, but we're going to talk about the actual matches diy versus the motor city machine guns. In a, two out of three falls for the wwe Team Champions. Diy is the champions. They're the heels now Trying to get it back after holding it for a couple weeks? What?
Speaker 2:you got. I want to talk about this match, this feud, real quick. Did you feel like this meet Every single SmackDown with the three hours? They're trying to force it down our throats. Right, they're trying to make tag teams a thing, but y'all, y'all build up Modest Machine Guns. They was some legends outside of WWE. Y'all build them up as this big prize acquisition, but just to give them hot shot them, give them a hot shot of them, give them the belts and then take it from them, like you said, in a couple weeks, in a couple months you know what I'm saying. And now then y'all turn DIY heels, now they the champs, just all willy-nilly and shit.
Speaker 2:I feel like the storyline as to where they try to progress it, because you don't know they try to progress it. Sometimes they just hot shot some shit, like they did with the Nia Jax in the real for Saturday Night's main event. They try to build this up, but they don't feel like they actually got built up. To make me feel like I should care about it, and I think the two out of three, that's just another thing of like. Oh okay, I know we kind of messed up a little bit, but here's a great match idea.
Speaker 2:You know, sign up for this. I don't feel as excited about this match. That being said, I'm going to go.
Speaker 1:I'm not excited about it. I mean, good thing they got the tag titles on the PLE. It feels like they never have tag titles when they're defending on the PLE.
Speaker 2:I think they said SummerSlam. Was it SummerSlam? I think they said SummerSlam was the last time the WWE titles was defended on the PLE.
Speaker 1:That's crazy. That's way too long. I think you don't care about your tag titles. Now you got two of them. Judgment Day was holding it up to ones on Raw for like six months, not defending it Honestly, couldn't? Oh the War Raiders? They got it on Raw.
Speaker 2:Now I was going to say I don't even remember who got it on Raw. I forgot for a second. And they're not even heels, no more, they're babyfaces.
Speaker 1:But they was heels for hell the most interesting thing in the tag team division on Raw and SmackDown is the New Day and they're still slowly building that up. So it's going to be a while before they actually doing some tag team stuff and actually winning, because right now they're doing some losing. But they'll get there. But yeah, I agree with you, I ain't feeling this match but I'm going to watch it because it's on the Royal Rumble card. It's definitely. This is definitely for me, my go figure out what I'm about to get to eat. Go figure out what I'm about to get to eat. I might go ahead and grab me some wings, order me a pizza or something around this time, but definitely going to be taking a bathroom break. But it's going to be. It's going to take a while.
Speaker 2:It's going to take a minute. It was WrestleMania, it wasn't something like that, golly.
Speaker 1:That's a shame. We almost had WrestleMania again, so all year.

Speaker 2:Yeah, I mean, why else give it to them if you're just going to make them lose it to the same team?
Speaker 1:that just lost it the month before. You're right, I got DIY, but instead of four I got on with three. Okay, so pretty simple, pretty simple, pretty simple DIY three. You got DIY four. Next up, this will definitely be somewhere in the middle. Actually, we can talk about this. Do you think this main event or do you think one of the Royal Rumble matches? Main events?
Speaker 2:I think the men's. Royal Rumble is going to main event. I think it's going to go women. You know, I think it's going to go women, the best two out of three and then the championship match and then the men's Royal Rumble. But if I was them, I think I would start with Cody and Roman, and not Roman, cody and Kevin.
Speaker 1:I mean it started out high. I just know, with the Royal Rumbles they always start out with at least one of the Royal Rumbles. It's been usually the women and the Royal Rumbles they always start out with at least one of the Royal Rumbles. It's been usually the women and the past couple years I feel like the women have had better Royal Rumble matches than the men.
Speaker 1:So I mean, they've been killing it all around. But yeah, I think the men's got to go after this because they're going to put Cody in the suite, could put Gunther in another suite and whoever wins is going to put Cody in the suite. Put Gunter in another suite. Whoever wins is going to probably point more than likely to Cody, because people ain't trying to go for that Gunter title. People don't care. Kevin Owens versus Cody Rhodes In a ladder match. They're going to have the Undisputed WWE title hanging up and they're also going to have the Wing Eagle title hanging up. Obviously, the Undisputed WWE title hanging up and they're also going to have the Wing Eagle title hanging up. Obviously, the Undisputed title is going to be on one side, the Wing Eagle is going to be on the other side, but you grab both of them. Before I ask for your prediction, do you think there's a chance that one person grabs one title and the other person grabs another title? That has been floating around.
Speaker 2:You know what, though, that's not a bad idea because that could extend this feud a little bit longer until the PLE. That's in between, it's in between, so you can have that match again. Personally it's not a bad. Personally I don't it's not a bad idea, but I don't think they're going to do that. But can I just shout out Kevin Owens, because I don't know? Cody's going to WrestleMania with the belt, but Kevin Owens is putting on amazing work.
Speaker 1:I know he wanted to win. I want him to win man.
Speaker 2:I really do. We know it's not going to happen?
Speaker 1:It's not. It's not, but I want him to. I really do it's not going to happen.
Speaker 2:This is where, if they had that PLE in between of SummerSlam I mean not SummerSlam Savara Series in November and in this they had that PLE, Then Cody could have dropped it, Then he. And in this they had that PLE, then Cody could have dropped it, then he could have got it back going into WrestleMania.
Speaker 2:You could have had that, but without that PLE in between to break this up. You know you can't do that now because you can't have him losing now and winning back at the elimination chamber, because then it's really high shot booking. So nah, cody going to win.
Speaker 1:So I think it's going to be your Cody's going to be your three Gotcha, gotcha, all right. Well, cody's my four, for sure. So I mean that was easy. I mean I'm just, I expect it to be a good match. Both Cody and Kevin Owens tremendous wrestlers. They know how to do their thing very professional they gonna put on a show.
Speaker 2:That's one thing for sure. Cody and Kevin gonna put on a show. Like you said, they two great wrestlers. Hell, diy I keep slipping up on DIY and Motor City Machine Guns I keep slipping up on their damn name Motor City Machine Guns. They're going to put on a show too. They're going to put on a show too.
Speaker 1:That's two out of three. Yeah, they're going to do their thing. So the two main events, obviously the Women's Royal Rumble and Men's Royal Rumble. We might as well go ahead and start with the Women's Royal Rumble. Men's Royal Rumble we might as well go ahead and start with the Women's Royal Rumble. Before I get your predictions, what's some standouts you're feeling storyline-wise going into the Royal Rumble?
Speaker 2:That I have no earthly idea who's going in.
Speaker 1:I got an idea. I'm not confident in it, but I got an idea.
Speaker 2:I got a thought that I got a possible, but I ain't really for sure. And then, to be honest with you, who is the SmackDown Women's Champion? It's Tiffany Stratton, that's right, it's Tiffany. Yeah, I forget who's Tiffany.
Speaker 1:I forget.
Speaker 2:Well, after Nia, that's right, nia lost. I remember Nia then it was like who got it now? But yeah, that's right, because I feel like Raw they show off the women a little bit better. Yeah, A little bit. I ain't saying it's great, let's be clear. I think it's just better than SmackDown.
Speaker 1:Yeah and no there's a. You're right, I think it's just better than SmackDown. Yeah and no there's a yeah, You're right.
Speaker 2:I think, it's just, that's all it is. I think it's just better than SmackDown. I don't SmackDown, I just nothing wrong. Nia Jax did her thing and I'm not knocking.
Speaker 1:Nia.

Speaker 1:They've been focused on living in the rear of Ripley a lot.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that definitely took too damn long. But yeah, I don't. I really don't with the women. I don't really feel as confident with who I'm going to pick. So it's going to be my one, let me tell you, it's going to be my one. But I feel like the reason part of it is because it's so wide open and I know it's going into WrestleMania. So they want to drop, they want to be able to drop, they want to be able to drop. So I got some people in my head. But who's going to actually drop? Now I got a pick. I did all that talking.
Speaker 1:Now I got a pick.
Speaker 2:Okay, cool, I feel like I'm going to give out some other names, because it's the real Rumble. So I'm going to give out some names and why I think they should win. Cool. First is Charlotte Flair. I know she's coming back. I think she should win. I think she should go against Tiffany. I mean, some stuff is a given and it's predictable, but you should still go ahead and do it. So Tiffany could look legitimate versus Charlotte. Charlotte should know way in hell win, but she should get that match versus Tiffany. Also, I could see Becky Lynch coming back and winning to go against.
Speaker 1:Rhea, that's a big time match right there.
Speaker 2:If you want to sell some tickets, that's going to sell some tickets. That's definitely going to sell some tickets. I wouldn't even mind seeing Tiffany Stratton Not Tiffany Stratton Trish Stratus come back to take on Tiffany Stratton.
Speaker 1:That's money right there. I think that would be dope.
Speaker 2:I just saw all the money start printing down. I don't know if it's going to happen, but that's something. What I'm going to go with is I'm going to go with Bianca Belair going against Rhea.
Speaker 1:Yeah, there was rumors about that one. Those are the two faces of the women's company. They are. I know you remember the. It was John Cena and Batista. It was those two. They had one around with a smirk. That's how I feel about Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair. That match, bianca and Rhea, could be a night two main event if they do it right. Don't think it could be this year.
Speaker 2:You think night two.
Speaker 1:I think it would be night one. I think they could be. I don't think it will be if it happens this year, but if they slow build it and start it for next year's Mania, I think it could be night two, but I don't think Bianca's Barrelhead is going to win it. I think she might have her hands full with someone that's going to probably return not 100% confident, but I think she's probably going to return and that's Jade Cargill going to return and that's a Jade card game, because I think Jade could be Jade and Bianca at WrestleMania, or Jade, bianca and Naomi, some combination of that. Do know that the women they're probably losing that tag titles before WrestleMania to give them some room to do some single stuff.
Speaker 2:And give it to whom that's the question. Give it to whom your guess is as good as mine, I guess. And give it to whom that's the question.

Speaker 2:You know, what you could do Either give it to Liv and Rio, not Rio, liv and Raquel, or you could give it to Liv and Real Not Real Liv and Raquel, or you can give it to Chelsea and Piper, I mean Chelsea, she's kind of busy being Miss President. I mean, she can carry two belts around. What better way to say you, miss President, than have two of them?

So you already said it. I understand why you went, bianca, but I'm going with Charlotte. I'm going with her to face Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania. I like the Trish Stratus. Before we move on to the men's, got a couple prop bets, just three. This time. We're breaking out the prop bets early boy.
Speaker 1:I'm just going to go ahead and get all the women's stuff out the way, Okay, so you know there's always going to be an Iron Woman or Iron Person who you got being the Iron Woman in this year's Women's Royal Rumble.
Speaker 2:Nia, nia, jax, all right.
Speaker 1:Nia. Oh man, man, I think they will give it to. I'm just going to say Lyra, not that confident, but Lyra, vicaria for the Intercontinental Champion. So we will see. Who do you think will get the most eliminations?
Speaker 2:I won't say Nia again, but I'm not. I'm going to say Bianca. I won't say Nia again, but I'm not.
Speaker 1:I'm going to say Bianca, yeah, a lot of times, from what I've noticed, what most people notice it's usually they don't. When they do the Iron Woman, it's usually not the person that's going to get the most elimination. The person with the most eliminations is usually not in there the longest, and usually neither of those people are the champion or the winner, sometimes, like with Rey Mysterio, or the people that start out one or two Possible, but I know the Nia was a long shot, but I just was like man, I'm going to get.
Speaker 2:Nia some props.
Speaker 1:I'm going to go with Riquel. I usually like to give big people that title. I usually like to give big people that title, so I give it to her. She needs to get something to get her rep up.
Speaker 2:I thought about her too. Just for that same exact reason they got to start building her back up, because the way they was building her before she got hurt and the way they been building her since she came back is not the same.
Speaker 1:And, last but not least, who do you think is going to be your final four? I got Baylor down, so you got three more to go.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm locked into one. I'm not sure if they're going to give it to him, but I feel like it's going to be his year. It's actually his last year. I'm just going to go ahead and give it to John Cena. He's going to be my one.

Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, I'm going John Cena. I feel like he'll pick Cody. It's going to be like a Captain America versus Superman thing at WrestleMania the race to number 17. And me and you both feel like John Cena's getting that record because we both feel the same. Ric Flair is dope, but that man can get canceled any second, so you need to go ahead and get his name up off there.
Speaker 2:You see what happened with Hogan. Flair ain't said that type of stuff. But Fleur, he be getting coming. He be getting kind of reckless with his own. Oh, you gotta be careful.

I'm going to just say Carmelo, carmelo Hayes, you need something. They say he don't miss. He been missing, missing a lot. He been missing Most eliminations, I mean.

Speaker 2:You gotta let him be in low John Cena. I was about to say Logan Paul. I was about to say Logan Paul, but I know they ain't gonna let John Cena not be in the final four. But I could see a world where Logan Paul's in that final four too so I'm gonna go Cena Roman Punk.

I have three confidence points on DIY four on Cody to win, to be KO, two on Charlotte Flair to win the Women's Royal Rumble and one on John Cena to win. The men's Q has four confidence points on DIY three on Coe, one on Bianca Belair and two on CM Punk to win. I need to get my get back to he puts. He BTA'd me in the last one, so we'll see how this goes.
