Welcome, welcome, welcome to another episode of. From my Perspective, I'm your boy Deion, coming at you with the sports perspective. Today we got WWE. It's going to be a full show just about WWE, just for our WWE fans. We got a little something special for you guys, but got our boy Q how you doing.
Speaker 2:Q. Man, you're right Another way. It's your boy, Mr Bear akaka, say your name upon this pod. What's going?
Speaker 1:on D Nothing much, nothing much. We got someone in the house tonight, a friend of the podcast. He's not really a guest, he's a friend. He knows where everything's at, he knows where the milk is at, he knows where the juice is at, he knows he's supposed to put his shoes at the door when he comes in. So, dre, how's it going?
Speaker 2:I'm straight. How about you, Bungie?
Speaker 1:I'm doing good man, so we haven't talked to you in a minute about at least not about anything, especially not about WWE Before we get into elimination. It's because he's busy. It's because he's busy, he's busy.
Speaker 2:But before we get into the elimination, chamber as a whole.
Speaker 1:What's your thought on the WWE product right now? Man, we're getting into that WrestleMania season. Give me some thoughts.
Speaker 2:It don't feel like WrestleMania season to me. It's like a slow I don't know what it is, it's just moving slow. It doesn't feel like it Like the Rumble normally, you know, you just hear the Rumble. It's like the all-star game. Everybody's all excited. Like you see mania in the distance, like right now. I feel like we're still a good two or three states out from it. Like I don't know what it is, but it is picking, it is speeding up a little bit, but it's just still like it don't feel it all the way. It still feel like we back in Survivor Series.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I see your point, but we're going to keep it right there. Royal Rumble was the last big pay-per-view. We didn't talk to you about it, but me and Q we were shocked with the decision they had to give Jey Uso the win. Obviously, charlotte Flair won the Women's Rumble no surprise there but Jey Uso won the Men's Rumble. Yeah, a lot of money on that one.
Speaker 2:Give me a reaction of him winning it and I know you were shocked, man, I did not see that one coming at all. I'm gonna take it, but I definitely did not see that coming. We had money on it Definitely not Jey Uso and I feel bad about it because we did a reaction show to it and the whole time we were like, man, they ought to let somebody like Jey win it. And then he won it. I'm like, oh, he really won it, like he really hold on, wait a minute, let me check something.
Speaker 2:He really won this shit. It was like I'll take it. Yeah, I go take it yeah.
Speaker 1:I go back to, like when the match was happening. I go back to seeing Q's tweet Jey Uso ain't gonna win this thing. That's exactly what Q said, and he still won it.
Speaker 2:so I didn't believe it. I really nobody thought that was gonna happen. No, Especially when it got down to John Cena oh, he's definitely loose.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's what I thought Again before me and Q, get into our competitive ways with our conference prediction. Some things are going on, obviously. Jey Uso he picked Gunter. How y'all feel about him finally picking Gunter? I'd be shocked if he doesn't win it. But you know, sometimes predictable is good, but let's see how they get there. But Jey Uso picked Gunter. Go ahead and start out with you first. Q. What's your thoughts on him picking Gunter?
Speaker 2:All right, deion, you know my line he better win. And it ain't even about him per se, because you know, when I say that in the playoffs, the NFL playoffs, it's for that team, it's about that team. Hey, you better win In this situation. He better win Not because of him, but because of the person who's booking that show. Yeah, you can't keep getting us this close and then we don't win, and y'all know who we is. It's going to turn into something. It's going to turn into something because it's already some bubbling about. We ain't got no single championships and we ain't had one. It's going to turn into something. So he better win, especially after, because it wouldn't make sense for him to lose, especially after the Saturday Night Main Event. So he had that loss. Are you going to make him lose at WrestleMania?
Speaker 1:Nah, I'd be more shocked if he lose than I was if Jey Uso, than I was if Jey Uso won that Royal Rumble. So, like I said, you can't, this is a layup booking decision. Triple H.
Speaker 2:It's there.
Speaker 1:It's there. Just take us on a nice little ride while we're getting there. Make this story enjoyable. Obviously, it's going to be a David versus Goliath type of thing.
Speaker 2:Take us on that ride, but it's a layup.

Speaker 2:We're going up like this Come on now, it's simple.
Speaker 1:Do any of you guys feel like maybe should have picked Cody, or was Gunther the right decision?
Speaker 2:Gunther was the right decision, as much as I would have loved to see him go after Cody just so I could see them try to tell that story, because I really didn't see a full way for Cody for who he's defending against. But Gunther, it makes sense. The story is compelling. I do like that. They're trying to make it out like you're just a tag team guy. You don't belong in main events. You don't belong with your name on the marquee. I like that aspect of it. It's a story that's been told so many times but you rarely see anybody from the bloodline side of it own the you don't belong here side. That's nice. I like that. They're doing good so far. Let's keep it going. Let's get up to court. Let's go ahead and slide to. Let's get up the court.
Speaker 1:All right, let's go ahead and slide to the women's division. Obviously, charlotte, she picked Tiffany Stratton. We'll talk about that a little bit more towards the telling of the show, y'all okay?
Speaker 2:with.
Speaker 1:Charlotte picking.
Speaker 2:Tiffany over Rhea. Nope, nope, why not? I wanted the rubber match. Charlotte has beaten Rhea at Mania and Rhea beat Charlotte at Mania. I need the rubber match.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:Like, the very first time was a really good match. The second time was even better. So they just tell me the third time. They definitely can take it even further.
Speaker 1:I don't disagree. I just going into the Royal Rumble I said if Charlotte wins she's going to pick Tiffany because it's just the young and up-and-coming. They're trying to make another star. That's why I feel like they did Rhea's solidified looking like a triple-third match. I don't know, we'll talk about that later on in the show as well. Rhea has EO Sky this Monday. We'll see how that's going to play out. You're right in terms of that rubber match would be nice. I don't know when we'll get it, but there's two matches in Mania we need to get. It's that Rhea Charlotte rubber match and it's that Bianca Bella versus Rhea Ripley match. Those two women ain't been getting a lot of main event shows since. I believe Sasha and Bianca got it at WrestleMania. Those two they can main event WrestleMania for sure Easily. I don't know what other master women can do right now that can main event, but those two definitely can.
Speaker 2:Yeah, without question, them is the only, because they're the only two that they build up like that. You know what I mean. I'm a fan of EO. I wish EO win on Monday. I know it ain't gonna happen, but I wish you know what I mean. You know what I'm saying. They're not giving that one up. They're not giving that one up on a Monday night round. That's definitely a mania match. I can wish for a lot of things. I know it ain't going to happen, but the Charlotte, I don't know. I don't think Charlotte should have won. I just don't. Honestly, if they really want to do something, they should have let Roxanne win it. Yes, she's the prodigy. Like, let the prodigy go ahead and win the Rumble. Yeah, I'd be wishing he wins the Elimination Chamber. But and my beef with Charlotte Fleur is it's not really Charlotte Fleur, it's really how they book Charlotte Fleur the minute she come back, she gotta be in the main event.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no, you don't have to go straight to the main event.
Speaker 2:But that's not 100% her fault, it's not it's Vince's fault, because for so long it was just the four horseomen and Asuka and Bianca can do stuff. Everybody else, y'all, all second cast characters, y'all can't do nothing. Y'all can't main event nothing If it ain't got nothing to do with them. Charlotte like, nah, you can't do it. Yeah, but at this point we got to get out of that. Charlotte don't have, she don't have to be in the main event all the time. And if Charlotte's done winning, how about she go out to one of those mid-card women's titles to put some respect on those titles?
Speaker 1:The way this match. Charlotte should not win this match against Tiffany. If you're trying to make a star, tiffany has to win. In Mania, I don't know, I'm not going to be confident in it because it's Charlotte Flair, but Tiffany should win.
Speaker 2:I don't have confidence in the SmackDown team to book a match. For them to be compelling and good, and this is just from history, even going back to the Bianca Sasha match, the Bianca Sasha match was good, the story was trash and ever since it has been the exact same thing for anybody. Any woman holding the Smackdown title. If you, the match will be great, but the story will be trash.
Speaker 1:I mean that's just been.
Speaker 1:It was like I went on Charlotte real last time it was trash, since had with Charlotte Rhea. Last time it was trash Since we're still here with the women's division. Usually a lot of women's matches is usually mostly of a title. There's not a lot of non-title fuses going on. We potentially could have one brewing. There's been reports out there that she's done at the Performance Center and she's cleared to go, but Jade Cargill is rumored that a storm may be coming to Toronto tomorrow or Saturday. Where do y'all think this story is going with Jade, naomi and Bianca, because obviously they tried to pull the whole. It was Liv and Raquel. We know it wasn't Liv and Raquel, it's got to be either Bianca or Naomi. One of them did it. But where do y'all see this story going and do y'all think they can stick the line Because Jay's been gone for a minute?
Speaker 2:I can't, I can't, I can't. So I've been vocal about this. I need, without a shadow of a doubt, that Bianca or Naomi did it. Until then, I don't believe nothing. Nobody said Liv and Raquel did it. They need their heads on the stake right now in front of the House of Westeros. I cannot, I can't. And Black History Month too, you're right. Speaker 1:Nah, Q where do you think it's going? Because obviously Jay's going back. Really, who do you think? The internet wrestling community, when it happened, said it was Naomi from day one. She tried to say y'all need my. I need an apology after that, little click click, little kill. But a lot of it in the rest of the community still thinks it's Naomi. Who do you think it is?
Speaker 2:Okay, doesn't it have to be Bianca now, it doesn't have to be. I'm going to stop it. It doesn't have to be Bianca because of the fact the storyline does point to Naomi, because you become a WWE Women's Tag Team Champion. Yep, doesn't it have to be Bianca? Because that's the one that's going to surprise everybody. That's the most shot.
Speaker 1:I will say I think of Bianca and Naomi. I think Bianca has been and would be a better heel I go back to. I have watched a little Total Divas in my lifetime when that came Not ashamed to say it, but it just be on TV sometimes.
Speaker 2:You ain't got to figure yourself out.
Speaker 1:But there was a scene there with Naomi and her husband Jimmy where she stated she hated being a heel. It was a time where she was with Team Band and she was here, like she said she hated being a heel and she wanted to do fun stuff, like with the glow stuff that she does now. She likes that stuff. So with that in mind, I'm like I don't even think Naomi would want to be a heel. And if I'm Triple H like you, I'm not going to put you in something that you hate to be, make you do something that you hate to be. So I would probably rather it be Bianca, because we know she can be a good heel if.
Speaker 2:If it is Naomi, I think that probably would change, if you like. They seem to be a lot within this new Triple H regime. They seem to be a lot more in control of where their characters go. So I feel like if she's in a little bit more control and she can actually have fun with it to a certain extent, she might not have a problem with it. If but that's a big if, because I don't have proof that Naomi did it You're going to keep going on with this. You know what I'm getting? I can't do it. Nope, you ain't got to believe it. We'll see it. I'm going to take my glasses off. I ain't going to be able to see it. Hold on, just real quick. I know it's not, but wouldn't it be good if it was B-fail.
Speaker 1:I mean it'd be nice, but it'd be out of left field. Actually, it wouldn't even mean the same ballpark.
Speaker 2:If they do that, she has to stick the landing on it. Perfect, yeah, it has to be perfect, because the moment this ain't like when they did the whole Rikishi thing, or who hit Stone Cold, steve Austin, where you can get away with that for a little bit, nah, she's got to stick that because Twitter will eat you alive. It will. Yeah, I think I need to rub. Yeah, definitely, because she deserves it. She's been putting in all types of great work. I think she needs to rub, but she's shining right now, so why not give her that spotlight?
Speaker 2:But you know, like I said, it has to be Bianca, not only because of the storyline that threw you off, but also because it's Russell man.
Speaker 1:Okay, so, since Dre doesn't believe it, but Q, I'm going to go to you. If it's Bianca or Naomi, who knows what match do you see happening? Because it's going to be J versus one of them? Do you see a triple third match, singles match, handicap match? Keep in mind Bianca has an undefeated streak at WrestleMania. What do you see going on? It's going to be.
Speaker 2:it's got to be Jada and Bianca, because it's WrestleMania season. That's the name, because that's what everybody wanted last year when they became a tag team. It's WrestleMania season. We got to sell some tickets. We're going to sell these tickets with Bianca and Jada, because that's what the people want. I think they should have kept them. I know you can't do it because it's WrestleMania and you want all your best defended, but I would want to see Naomi looking at Bianca's side. Like so we tag-type champions, but you're hurting your partner. Like let that play out for a little bit. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, like, let Naomi be. Like I don't know if I can trust you.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:It would have been interesting. But obviously Liv and Raquel, they have the titles now. But let's go ahead and get to this show again. Me and Q, we do confident point predictions. There's one, two, three, four matches on the card. So the match we have the most confidence in we give four points. The match we have the least confidence in we give four points. The most we have the least confidence in we give one point. So, dre, I'm assuming you want to partake. I mean I'm going to count it, but in terms of competition it's between me and Q, but I count you.
Speaker 2:So I'm like TNA in NXT I can come and be on the show, but I can't win the belt.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you can't win the belt, it's all good. Let's go ahead and get started here. I just pulled it up, the match card, before I get too deep into this. Dre, how do you feel about these short match cards? Man Triple H has four or five matches on these PLEs. Man Triple H has four or five matches on these PLEs. Man, you liking them?
Speaker 2:It's not AEW putting like 12 matches. No, aew will start on one day and end the next. Yeah, but I actually I do like having the shorter cards. It takes you back to the NXT TakeOver days. It actually gives the matches time to tell a long story and you get to hit every little beat that you need to hit. I know, like at the Rumble, that was a very small card too, that tag title, the tag match that they did. That's the reason why you have these long, these little short cards. When you give time to matches like that that don't normally get to tell stories on SmackDown Like so. I love these short cards, giving things time to breathe. You let the steak cook a little bit and rest.
Speaker 1:That's one of the few things.
Speaker 2:I think Triple H is doing good.
Speaker 1:So let's go ahead and get started. I'm going to go ahead and start out. We're going to talk about two matches and then we'll talk about the big storyline between Little Break. Then we'll get back to the other two matches. But let's go ahead and start out with the gimme. From my perspective, tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus vs Nia Jax and Kenna Solari. I imagine Charlotte Flair could play a part in it somehow, but it's Trish Stratus. It's in her hometown. I'm just going to go ahead and say it. It's my four. I'm going to go Tiffany and Trish, with four. Charlotte Flair Lumen gives me a little pause, but the rest of the card I really don't know. So this is my four.
Speaker 1:Q go ahead.
Speaker 2:I'm going four. I mean it's easy, like you said. It's fine. By the way, it's my bad. I'm going to do that on my other one, because I got to get that off because, jesus, you feel me my bad.

Speaker 2:That's all I got to say At all, not one bit. All right, I don't know what they got in the water in Toronto, but they need to send that down this way. They need that bag.

And this thing, it's going to get ugly. I expect some blood. I expect them to go out in the stands, I expect a table or two to get broken. Sami Zayn versus Kevin Owens in an unsanctioned match. They're both from Canada, so they're both in their home turf. It's going to get crazy. I don't know, but I'm going to just go KO with three. I think he needs to win more.
Speaker 2:Wow, wow. I'm going to go Sammy Zane with two. Yeah, I'm going to go Sammy Zane with two, I'm going Sammy with four. And it's just because we have to pick, for things, you have to pick a winner. I personally think they're going to hurt each other too bad and this match is going to end up with no contest. That's a good point. That's a good point. That is a good point Because I see in the distance where this is going.
Speaker 1:Do you guys think this thing gets pushed to WrestleMania?
Speaker 2:Absolutely With Hell in a Cell.
Speaker 1:No, randy Orton is out there too.
Speaker 2:Remember who put out Randy Orton, that's when he's coming back in that Hell in a Cell. Yeah, you got to go to WrestleMania, because what else is even one of them doing?
Speaker 1:That was my point. They ain't got nothing else to do. Y'all might as well. Triple H is like y'all want to go again in WrestleMania. Shit, you got to go to Hell in a Cell. The only thing that gives me pause. This is an unsanctioned match. Going from an unsanctioned match to a Hell in a Cell match, I feel like it's kind of even level. Do y'all think? Y'all don't think that's even level?
Speaker 2:Technically, I don't think so, because Hell in a Cell is built to infuse. Unsanctioned matches aren't necessarily. I feel like they're. Honestly, I feel like they're like a cop-out in order to get you to a Hell in a Cell, because if you get like, you can go everywhere and do everything to each other and hurt each other to a point that neither of y'all can walk anymore. And then the next week because they're coming back the next day and they're going to come back trying to fight each other again. So I feel like that's just what you got to do at this point. You got to end this eventually.
Speaker 1:Okay. So I don't know why I just hit my. It just crossed my mind. For feud-ending matches, what do you think is like last-minute standing match? Hell in a cell what do?
Speaker 2:you think is the ultimate feud-ending match. Well, if you're going off the video name, it's actually just a steel cage match, which don't make sense to me. I would think it has to be either Hell in a Cell or a Last man Standing. That's the way you should end a feud, you would think.
Speaker 1:So other two, which one you think is the You're going to make me?
Speaker 2:pick between the two You're going to make me pick. Come on, deion bro. I think Hell in a Cell is the bigger name one, but I think it happens less often.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it should happen less often personally.
Speaker 2:So I would go for Oz count anywhere as the main feud ender, but I think the bigger one would be Hell in a Cell. She gonna make me pick. I'm gonna pick Fox County, I mean. Yeah, I mean I quit Not Fox County, I quit what you think, drizzy, I definitely think Hell in a Cell, but I'm also kind of conditioned to believe that that's how you end feuds with Hell in a Cell, because they don't do three stages of hell anymore, things like that.
Speaker 1:They don't do them too much more and three stages of hell stuff that was. That was neat that's blood feuding.
Speaker 2:We're kind of knocking at that. We are at that door. This is blood feud like some. They're bleeding five minutes into this, yeah.
Speaker 1:I need to bring back a three stages of hell match man. I ain't seen one of them in a minute.
Speaker 2:You got to really hate somebody for that, and this is not this. Definitely this could happen as well. That or Hell in a Cell.
Speaker 1:And the thing about three stages. It usually be just a regular match, then they'll do like a no DQ match and then they'll hey, they're hell in a cell coming down for that third match, something like that.
Speaker 2:But I'm saying an un-sanctioned match. Ain't that basically a nice way of saying a no DQ match? No yeah.
Speaker 1:It's just a sell ticket. Yeah, un-sanctioned match. I don't know, it's stupid, but you know.
Speaker 2:Am I. It's stupid, but you know you're not wrong. It's just the sale. It's just the sale tickets, that's all it is it's just the sale tickets, but it's KO and Sammy in Toronto, you don't need to do much if they do it like if they did them like they do in AEW, where it's a lights out match, then absolutely, where you say you know we're in the show, but anything that happens after this we ain't got nothing to do with it that sounds better than Unsanctioned.
Speaker 2:For real it sounds better but I'm at the same time. It's the same thing. It's the same thing, but the presentation is so much better so alright.
Speaker 1:So the big A story of WWE it's the same thing, but the presentation is so much better, so all right. So the big A story of WWE right now looks like a lot of things. You know, come from it. I have my personal perspective on it. I want to see you guys. But the final boss, the Rock, made a surprise appearance last Friday. He went into corporate mode, you know, hyping up some stuff, blah, blah, blah what corporate rock does. Then he switched back to final boss mode, called out Cody and he pretty much told Cody he wants him to be his corporate champion, his champion. He said he wanted his soul on some paws. The rock, that was kind of wild to say, but he wanted his soul. Cody thought about it Last Monday. Seth Rollins said you better not do that shit after what I did for you to get that title. What are you guys' thoughts on the Rock potentially trying to make Cody Rose his champion, the corporate champion? Because the Rock was the corporate champion at one point in time back in the day. Dre, what you got?
Speaker 2:I want this so bad. Cody as a heel has always been my favorite version of Cody when he was dashing Cody Rose, when he was the evil Cody, the undashing Cody, handing out bags to the fans because they ugly. When he was got the new revamp with the mustache, evil Cody has always been my favorite Cody and with this version he's like amped up to 10 now. So, yes, go be Homelander, start doing shit. Okay For Dion, I see your face. I think you want this too.
Speaker 1:I don't necessarily want it. I think it's going to happen. But the reason why I think it's going to happen and we'll get to it in a little bit is you kind of need a foil for that goat to get that 16th fire.
Speaker 2:Okay, True, I don't think I want this. I would want it to be CM Punk. I want him to be the corporate guy that's doing all the evil stuff. But the problem with it is I don't think people really going to boo CM Punk If he do some evil. Shit enough maybe.

Speaker 2:WWE's favorite thing to do is to show the pipe bomb and how he sits there and be like oh, the Triple H is your stupid son-in-law and Vince is going to be dead and this company is going to be better. They love playing the pipe bomb. So if DL Punk was to sit there and sell his soul and go to be the corporate champion for the Rock, I think it would be more interesting than going.
Speaker 1:That is wild.
Speaker 2:I think it would be more interesting than Cody. That is wild. I think it would be more interesting. It's definitely interesting as hell, it's just wild.
Speaker 2:I don't know if I want to see Cody as a hill. Yet I think Cody needs to be a hill at some point. But I don't know if I'm ready for Cody to go down that road. I'm also at that point with Bianca as well. I don't really know if I'm ready for Cody to go down that road. I'm also at that point with Bianca as well. I don't really know if I'm ready for that to be. What's coming. It's going to hurt. I'm just with Bianca. I don't know if they really like really I don't know if they can move up Like I really don't believe that's going to happen. Even with this, they're going to find a way to blame Jay. But back to that, I don't know. I don't know if I'm just ready to see Cody do that yet. Maybe, like next year, next year, you're going to be the evil guy, because I feel like he just gathered and everybody in love with.
Speaker 2:Cody. Then, like you said, like Seth said, we just did this last year. So a year later the dude dead. You had to overcome to be a champion. A year later you're going to go link up with him. I don't even know if that sounds realistic.
Speaker 1:My only issue with that. I just Cody is the champion. He's got everything. What more could the Rock give him for a reason to turn heel? I mean he said, make me my corporate champion, but I already got the title. What else I need? That's the only thing. Okay, why would he? It wouldn't make much sense for Cody to sell his soul to the Rock when you're already the champion. It wouldn't make more sense for one of the men in the chamber like CM Punk, who's been begging, to be in the main event of WrestleMania. Drew McIntyre will make a lot of sense, because the Rock has gone to bat for Drew McIntyre. When Drew McIntyre resigned, the Rock gifted him a sword or something on some weird thing.
Speaker 2:I'm sorry we took this long because he definitely had his name going. I'm definitely on the first thing smoking the A-W or T-N-A. If you don't give me my money, T-N-A is giving that money. T-n-a will give him this money.
Speaker 1:He's out there. Some people was talking about John Cena could be the corporate champion.
Speaker 2:That ship sailed a long time ago, that ain't happening.
