Speaker 1:

Welcome, welcome, welcome to another episode of. From my Perspective, I'm your boy Deion. No bucket hat today, but I do got me a nice little snapback on celebrating another win by the Louisville Cardinals. We'll get to that in a second, but you know, I'm here with my man Q, captain Hayden himself. How's it going?

Speaker 2:

Hey man, good to do what it is, you're right. Another basketball show Boy, mr Bell. What's going on, dion?

Speaker 1:

Nothing much. You know hype. You know Louisville basketball is back. We have talked about it. We haven't talked about it much because last time we talked about it they lost the next game. So we've been trying to avoid it just a little bit. But that Time has come. The ACC tournament is literally around the corner. Louisville has one more game this Saturday against Stanford. Yesterday they beat Cal, looking like we'll get the number two or number three seed in the ACC tournament. I've seen this as high as a number four seed, all the way down to a number seven seed in the big NCAA tournament. But I got to ask you, q-man, since Louisville's back, we're in the midst of an NCAA tournament run. People have seen us go as far as the Elite Eight, at least Sweet 16. How you feeling about your Cardinals being this good for a change?

Speaker 2:

Man, can I tell you the truth, dawg, it does not feel real. Coming from the two previous years where we was at, really the previous three, to be honest, to be where we are now, it honestly doesn't feel real. You know, it's like I'm, can I say I feel like I'm dreaming a little bit, can I say?

Speaker 2:

that would that be doing too much? Tell me if it's doing too much. That's what it feels like. I'm dreaming a little bit. Can I say that? Would that be doing too much? Tell me if it's doing too much. That's what it feels like. It feels like I'm dreaming and I'm waiting on somebody to wake me up and be like nah, man, kenny, sit down. Kenny, sit down and do his thing. And, to be honest, when Kenny got fired I was like man, maybe we could have gave bro one more year to see what the talk was. Actually, get him an assistant coach with head coaching experience instead of his homies. His assistant coach, kenny's assistant coach, was his homies. Yeah, he needed an assistant coach with some head coaching experience. That could be like no, that's not. That's not what you do. This is what you do, this is what you do. You get what I'm saying. But then I mean actually, obviously that was wrong, because Pat Kelsey is killing the game. His energy, that's what makes him so dope. It's his energy.

Speaker 1:

Oh, love it, love it. I mean, when he first got hired, I mean I'm always a little skeptical, but let's see what the guy does. He's got, he's a. From what we saw, he was a winner. So and he's proven it, he's proven it 100% that he's a winner. He's winning here. And I will say, about the whole not firing Kenny, I was, I'm all about.

Speaker 1:

I feel like three years is the amount of time you should give a coach, not just college, but just a coach in general, to turn things around. Today's age is a little bit different. We'll get to that a little bit later. With NIL and everything, you can really change things around with a blink of an eye. Sure, pat Kelsey, but I was somewhat in that boat. I understood why they fired him. A third year would have been catastrophic, especially for the economy of Louisville, because the economy of Louisville is thriving now. I was looking at them tickets to go to either yesterday's game or Saturday's game. They tried to price us out already. Man, who you talking about? They tried to price us out. Who you talking?

Speaker 2:

about. We were sitting down there in the living room like man, who you telling? We were sitting down there in the living room like man, last game coming up, what you want to do. So I looked at the prices. I said, yeah, man, look, they got a baseball game that we could get into for the free. For the free, I mean we could support Louisville that way as women lacrosse the same day. We could. Just it's for the free.

Speaker 1:

Not too far from the baseball field either. So hey, but yeah, they are already starting to price us out. But yeah, acc has been a down year. But Louisville does have a couple players that's in contention for first-team All-Pro, chucky and Edwards he was going crazy yesterday, by the way. Shout-out to you Edwards. Edwards is in contention to be first team. Not sure about him. Chucky should be a lock. Pat Kelsey I don't want to say he's a lock for Coach of the Year, but he's definitely top two or three. They may get him to Snyder for Duke, but I feel like, if you're doing what we expected, I don't know if you should get it. How are you feeling about the first team and coaching of the year conversation?

Speaker 2:

Okay. So Chucky, I think, okay, chucky should be on first team ACC. I also think Chucky should be in consideration for, if not first team, at least second team, national all-American. Yeah, because of what Chucky is doing, he's not only doing it on the offensive end, he's also doing it on the defensive end. But let's go back to the offensive end. Not only can he give you 20-something points, he's also giving you five, six assists. Then he goes to the defensive end and, yes, he does gamble on defense a lot, with some steals, but a lot of times he does capitalize on those steals, so he's causing turnovers and causing havoc for the other team. And I get, I'm being biased because he's playing for UofL, I know, but I do really I think he'll be in first team ACC. I don't think. I guess that's a question. A lot, that's a lot. But I do think he should also be considered a Hall of Merchant. He should have been on the.

Speaker 1:

Woodwatch.

Speaker 2:

He should have been, but somebody's been watching basketball, or whatever, I think, but that's neither here nor there, I mean, but in fairness, who was really watching a little bit best by the past couple years? So they probably just tuned us out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you're right, you're right. Before we slide to the next topic, I got to give a quick shout out to the Lady Cards. Who was in the ACC tournament as we speak and lead the Clemson Tigers 30 to the 29 halftime. Let's hope they can pull off an ACC tournament championship win and they're going to be in the tournament. This is Jeff Wallace. He has a young team this year, somewhat of a rebuilding year, but some rebuilding year I mean your rebuilding year is better than some teams has ever had. So got to give credit where credit is due. Jeff Wallace is building a team. Let's just hope we can keep some of these players and they don't get snagged away through these transfer ports and nothing like that. That's my hope for Jeff Files, but got to give a shout out to them. But speaking of that ACC, obviously we talked about first team. Another lock, chucky's a lock. Another lock is Cooper Flagg. Hold on real quick.

Speaker 2:

Real quick before we go there. I was Googling Bob Cousy. Bob Cousy award goes to the best point guard in the nation. I was going to say Halliburton, this is not an Indiana conversation, chucky, he should. He was not a finalist for that. They got two or three shooting guards on there. That's finalists. He should have definitely been a finalist. That's how I know people's not watching Louisville basketball because they tuned us out over the past two years. But it's the Bob Cousy world I couldn't think of for the life of me. I couldn't think of it, so I had to Google it. I finally got it. My bad, I didn't mean to cut you off, but I just wanted to say it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he should. But you put shooting guards on. I know we're in a no-position era of basketball but there's still a clear difference between shooting guard and point guard. I hope people know. But there's a clear difference in the position that Cooper Flagg plays. He plays a little bit off but I see him as a small four power four type of guy. But, like I said, said chucky's a lot for first team, cooper flag is a lot for first team for acc, probably a lot for first team nationally and pretty much it seems like the national player of the year award is already being fedexed to his house as we speak. All he has to do is when he picks it up, polish it up, throw it on his counter. But you raised an interesting question. Cooper Flagg again should be the first overall pick in the upcoming draft. In his last game they was yelling one more year. You raised an interesting question pre-pod Should Cooper Flagg come back to another year at Duke Duke concerning we're in the age of NIL and he's going to get a bag regardless or Duke?

Speaker 2:

So, like I told you, I was listening to Tony Foran and he was saying Cooper should come back because he goes to Duke. If he went to any other school you wouldn't consider this because it wasn't well. I ain't going to say any other school, you wouldn't consider this because it wasn't, I'm not going to say any other school, but it had to be one of them. Blue Bloods that have the money to pay him NIL money that he will be getting paid on his NBA contract. I looked it up, bro the NBA, their rookie season. They make it's like 11. It's a little over $11 million. It's going to be a little over $11 million. Duke can pay that. I'm sure Duke can pay that if they wanted to pay that. The question is him do you want to come back? Do you want to go play against pros?

Speaker 2:

When they was training for the Olympics, he was on the NBA, the USA Select team. Everybody that was there the NBA, the USA Select team, everybody that was there, all the reports you heard said he belongs. He belongs and he can hold his own versus the wrong men. I don't know. That's why I was asking you, because I don't know, because he can hold his own versus the grown men. But if you know, you're going to get the bag in college and it's college and you're that young age and you can live that college life for one more year and you're still going to make the money and let's be real, you're probably going to be player of the year again. So you're going to have two player of the years up under your belt and you're going to be the first-round draft pick for the Bronx. Why, why not stay? And I know why people say go is because you want to get to your second contract before you get to. O Bruh is going to. He's still going to be 19. Yeah, think about it.

Speaker 1:

Because he reclassified. Yeah, he's technically a senior in high school. His twin brother is still a senior in high school, actually.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, if he comes back one more year. He's 19, like everybody else. That's going to be in a draft this year, so why not?

Speaker 1:

So you raised an interesting question. I saw the same sentiment on Twitter, but it was more so because of who may get the number one pick. Looking like it's probably Charlotte or Washington Wizards Both those places basically career suicide at this moment of time, so I'm not sure if you really go. Don't call me on this.

Speaker 2:

That's not fair. Because you know the thing NBA do a lottery, so it might not be them two, it might not be, it might not. Because you know the thing NBA do a lottery, so it might not be them soon. It might not be, it might not.

Speaker 1:

You're right, but if I'm not mistaken, I saw where the last day for a college player to declare for the NBA draft is after the NBA lottery. So he gets to find out who gets the number one pick. So he gets to find out where he potentially could be living before he has to decide if he wants to go back to Duke. Now you said I saw it too a rookie contract in 2025. The top rookie contract could be worth approximately $57 million over four years, which is about $14 million A little bit over $14 million, like you said. I looked up Cooper Flagg's NIL worth to try to put it in perspective. His value is listed at $4.8 million, which is the highest paid in college basketball. So $4.8 million compared to $14 million, it's $14?.

Speaker 1:

I thought it was $11.

Speaker 2:

$57 over four years I don't know what website I looked at. They had it at 11 the first two years, 11, 14.

Speaker 1:

4.8, 14.

Speaker 2:

It's still a significant number I was about to say it's still the same thing. Okay, that's what he getting paid. Now If you do, and he say he going to come back. If he come back and say y'all got to give me nine and I'll come back, duke going to pony up that money.

Speaker 1:

Probably yeah, because I don't think they have anybody. I don't know what their recruiting class looks like. I don't think they got that guy coming in. Next year he go. If they got it, dude got it. Well, they're pulling out.

Speaker 2:

Even if they don't pony up the money. If you still, if you him, I'm not sure. Okay, let's say you know you can go to the NBA and get $14 million. All right, cool. So do you stay in college and live that college lifestyle and have fun, or go for, let's say, six mil, let's say five, six mil, or go be a pro for the 14 mil. Compared to you playing 40 games to 82 games, you got to keep in mind if he goes back to college.

Speaker 1:

We know these elite D1 athletes going to schools like Duke. They're not really going to class back to college. Now, we know these elite D1 athletes going to schools like Duke. They not really going to class class. But you gotta go to class class If you get what I mean. But you made it sound like being a pro. He can't have time. I watched Gilbert Arena's podcast. He's told me. I've heard the stories he said he's done. True, but you college age doing this on a college campus he's told me.

Speaker 2:

I've heard the stories he said he's done. True, but you college age, doing this on a college campus. That's different. It's more of a it's been my word all week it's more of a controlled environment on the college campus as where you go pro you out here this state one day, next state to next, you got to be a little more careful.

Speaker 2:

You got to be a little more careful. You got to be a little more careful. Going pro In college, you never know. You know what I'm saying. It might be a little easier, that's all I'm saying. And you got more time to go to parties and shit than you do with the pros.

Speaker 1:

True, true. Personally, it would depend on who gets the first overall pick, because I'm not trying to go to Washington. Maybe Charlotte and Flamelo are still there, maybe they could make something work, but I don't even know if Flamelo and Cooper Flagg would mesh together. It would just depend where the first overall pick goes. If, some reckless way, san Antonio gets the first overall pick, you telling me you staying at Duke instead of going to San Antonio.

Speaker 2:

Do I want to play with Wimby and De'Aaron Hawks?

Speaker 1:

That's a winning situation right away.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but then I'm automatically third.

Speaker 1:

He could be. I think he would be two. In two or three years he'll be ahead of Darren Fox. Darren Fox will be the third wheel.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know. I think that would be my question. Like you said, it really does depend on who gets the first overall pick. Depending on who gets the first overall pick is if I'm going to go. If it's to me San Antonio, I don't know if I want to go San Antonio. I'm not going to lie to you, bro, like I'm cool with being two, but I don't know if I want to be third.

Speaker 1:

I ain't going to lie. If you say I'm going because that's a winning coach, there's instant chances of getting rings.

Speaker 2:

We saying that, but we don't know what's going on with Pop. Neither, true, okay. So we can't just automatically. That's why I said it. If I'm saying it, I don't know what's going on with Pop, and I'm the third option, bro, I don't know if I want to go. I'm just going to be honest with you. I don't know I don't know.

Speaker 1:

So what teams out there that gets it that you like? Oh yeah, I'm going.

Speaker 2:

Charlotte to me. Right for me personally, because I spend time in North Carolina. I like Charlotte and I will rock with that. But they gonna trade LaMelo. So then it's like, okay, I'm cool, I'm going her to be the number one option when I'm young. I'm trying to get these buckets and I'm trying to get these buckets and I'm trying to get my you know what I'm saying my all-stars when I'm 27,. When I'm 28, 29,. All right, all right, cool, I need to get me a chance. I need to get me a ring. Bruh, he's 18. Bruh, 18 through 25? I'm trying to get my numbers B. Forget all that. All I understand that winning culture. I don't care about that winning culture. Hey bro, you see that first team NBA's I got. What did you mean? What T-Mac say when that YouTuber was there saying what was you doing when you was 24?

Speaker 1:

Average of 30. Come on.

Speaker 2:

What you talking about? Yeah, average of 30. When I'm 20, like I said, when I'm 28, 29,. All right, let me go out and get these rings, because that's what they care about. Let me go out and get these rings.

Speaker 1:

I agree to this. We can agree to this. I disagree because I feel like he could be that number. He's not going to be number one over Wimby.

Speaker 2:

He's not number one, he's not number two. I mean I think he I don't know, bro man, maybe it's because he went to Kentucky, but I don't trust Jaren Fox, bro. I just don't. I don't trust him to do the right thing, dog, I'm just don't. I think he's a. I don't mean to be wrong. I think he's a dope player. I think he's nice. I wouldn't have said in school, Like I said now, because he's in the league, I think he's a dope player. But as far as I'm going to put him next to another young dude, I don't know if I'm doing that.

Speaker 1:

So outside of Charlotte, what other places if you're? A flag, they get the number one pick. You know what I ask? Peace out Duke. I'm out. I'm going to the game. What teams can get it? I'm not going to Washington, I'm just not, I'm not going to Washington.

Speaker 2:

I'm not going to Washington.

Speaker 1:

I'm not. They need to go back to the old colors or something. They just don't breathe right now.

Speaker 2:

It's not because of the city, it's because of the organization. I'm not going to Washington if I don't trust them, they can't. It's something about that organization. They had Gilbert, they had Gilbert Antoine James I can't think of the other one. They had a squad up where they couldn't do, they couldn't figure it, nothing would work. People get hurt. I don't, nah, I'm not going, not going there, phoenix going F around because of the way they keep losing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, they, they. I don't think they're going to draft picks.

Speaker 2:

They ain't going to.

Speaker 1:

I swear I saw the. Let me see if I can find it again.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's just I don't know. It's a lot of teams Damn Utah, utah. It's a race thing. People will see Cooper Flagg and be like he will fall in love with Utah. It's a race thing. People will see Cooper Flagg and be like he will fall in love with Utah. They still rebuilding, crazily I don't know if I want to go to Utah now.

Speaker 1:

And Atlanta, hell, atlanta's losing.

Speaker 2:

But San Antonio got their draft pick, so they screwed themselves is losing. But San Antonio got their draft fee, so they screwed themselves. But yeah, I'm trying to think the team's just bad right now. Utah, washington, Charlotte, chicago is throwing the tank. I wouldn't mangle on Chicago. I would look at the suburbs, but I wouldn't mangle on Chicago. But yeah, chicago and Charlotte, if they get it, I'm cool. Washington is a no For me personally. San Antonio is a no For me. For you personally, from my perspective, san Antonio is a no. Maybe, if Greg Popovich was healthy, maybe we knew, like officially, what the situation was with that. Speaking of which, first Pop, but nah, without a guarantee, pop being there is definitely enough. No, okay With Pop, I consider it, but it's still probably enough.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Well, I mean we can somewhat. I mean Portland, they're pretty bad, ain't they still?

Speaker 2:

Brooklyn. I know we're saying the NBA, we ain't doing NBA right now. Portland been on a little high streak since the turn of the new year and they go.

Speaker 2:

F-round, getting the play over the Suns and Dallas. You know Dallas had the Kyrie Perez the Kyrie as well. Dallas is going down the Suns and Dallas. You know Dallas had the Kyrie Perez the Kyrie as well. Dallas is going down, the Suns is. I don't know what the hell is going on For them to have all them players, for them to still be under .500 as well. Portland is working their way up into a play-in position, so I don't know if they're going to have a top draft pick.

Speaker 1:

But that is a decision Neither of us, unfortunately, has to make. I would like to have that decision to make Either get 4.8 plus or go to the NBA and get 14 million. Hey Cooper Flagg, you winning regardless.

Speaker 2:

Regardless, though Regardless, I think I would really consider it. Wait a minute, what did you say, what you gonna do?

Speaker 1:

I said I'll go, more than likely I'm leaving, okay, okay, unless it's Washington that gets the number one pick.

Speaker 2:

So you'll go to.

Speaker 1:

Charlotte, I'll go to Charlotte. You'll go to Chicago. I'll go to Chicago.

Speaker 2:

You will go to San Antonio.

Speaker 1:

Definitely will go to San Antonio.

Speaker 2:

Orlando is interesting I would go to Orlando. They're starting to lose, even though Pablo Suggs got hurt, jalen Suggs got hurt, jalen Suggs got hurt, and ever since Jalen Suggs got hurt they've been losing a little bit too. So maybe Orlando might sneak into that. I don't know, I have to see, because the East is so bad, they still probably make 12.

Speaker 1:

So terrible.

Speaker 1:

The East is so bad. I'm glad you said bad, though you you just lobbed it up to me Because we had somebody turn from good to bad this Saturday at the elimination championship. Now I just want to point out I did win the confidence portion prediction. I did beat Drizzy and Q, so back-to-back 96-97 for your boy. But I was so shocked at what happened I had to stop tweeting because what I was watching. I was shocked. But we will get there. We're going to go ahead and start from the show, chronologically of what happened, and we're going to go ahead and start from the women's elimination chamber match. And it started out hot and heavy. Did you check on Drizzy? No, I didn't check on Drizzy.

Speaker 2:

I didn't check on Drizzy, but Drizzy, he knew this, he did that. He got two wrestling prizes. He worked for a big time company. He knew what it is. He knew this was coming. It just wasn't in his heart.

Speaker 1:

That ain't what he wanted to believe. No, it was not what he wanted to believe. But before the match got started, a storm was coming. Jade Corrigill came out, faked like she was kind of going to go and live and went beeline to strengthen Naomi and beat the brakes off that woman. I ain't seen nobody get beat up like that in a minute. She beat the brakes off Naomi like she owed her money. Punt kicked her, Closed the door on her face Again, just beat the brakes off her. I know you was watching. What was your reaction? You probably watched a little late. I remember you said you started a little late.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I started. I had to watch this on the women's elimination table on the next day on the comeback. Shout out to Peacock, by the way, for making it possible for a brother to do that. I knew it was coming, I just wasn't sure. I wasn't sure who it was going to be. I knew it was going to be either Bianca or Naomi. We knew that was going to be the case. You know we knew that it would have been dope if it was Bailey, but she got a whole thing with Roxanne right now so it wouldn't have been her. But we knew it was coming and I ain't really mad at it Now.

Speaker 1:

I just want to see how they're going to play it out you know, I Triple H, I pray you, give these two women a match at WrestleMania. Don't be, no, don't do that thing where you don't give them a match, a singles non-title. Obviously it's a non-title. Give them a match. Give them a last man stand, last woman stand to match. Hey, hey, I wouldn't even mind if you put them in the Hell in the Cell. Do something dope with them.

Speaker 2:

Hell in the Cell that early.

Speaker 1:

It's a little early, but it's WrestleMania, though you got to do it up a little bit.

Speaker 2:

No, give them a regular one-on-one. So then that could be on your payback PLE.

Speaker 1:

You're right. I'm with you when you're right because they need it. They're going to need something for payback. That with you when you're right because they need, because they're going to need something for payback.

Speaker 2:

That PLE after WrestleMania do usually be a stinker. Let's call it spades, spades. It'd be a bunch of reruns for real, It'd be a stinker.

Speaker 1:

I'm with you when you're right. Yeah, have Naomi win it and let Jay get a payback. At what? Backlash or Payback, or whatever they're going to follow one of the two. I disagree with the winner. The rematch got to happen somehow.

Speaker 2:

Nah, I think Jay got to win. Jay got to win. You got to have Jay win that one.

Speaker 1:

Alright. Well, we'll see how it plays. But my thing is the one-on-one, regardless of the stipulation. If there's a stipulation that has to happen at WrestleMania, don't strip these women of a non-title feud, because these women are. They usually don't get a lot of non-title feuds, especially at wrestlemania. Get them. Get them going, because you got you cook it. But uh, back to the regular match.

Speaker 1:

Pretty else was the of the two of them this year matched. From our perspective, this was the better one and started out hot and heavy. These women women went crazy. Roxanne Perez, you did your thing Again. Liv Morgan, you're showing the haters why you're one of the top women in the company as of right now. But Bianca Belair and, by the way, that hair whip to Liv Morgan, that was nasty, that was nasty. But Bianca Belair, she ends up winning and she will be challenging. Well, we know We'll get there in a sec. She's winning to get her match at WrestleMania. After she wins, she goes up to the top of the stage, face-to-face with Rhea Ripley and you know your girl, io Sky. She had to pick her head up out there. It's like hey, what's going on? And then one day she showed them what's going on and she is now the world heavyweight champion. Obviously, predictable is not bad when it's good Looking like it's going to be a triple threat. Are you excited about the triple threat? I know you're excited. Io has the world title around her way.

Speaker 2:

You know I am, I know you're excited. Eo has the world title around her way. You know I am, I rock with EO and EO needs to win at WrestleMania too.

Speaker 1:

That's the other way. I don't know if that's going to happen, though Bianca got a little WrestleMania streak.

Speaker 2:

They might want to keep going True?

Speaker 1:

Nah, they need to end it now. I would prefer EO to win it, because you know Bianca needs to get back to SmackDown, where Jade is at, and Naomi's at.

Speaker 2:

It is a way to get Bianca off of SmackDown. That's a way to get her off SmackDown.

Speaker 1:

Pursue triple threat match. That's going to happen.

Speaker 2:

Should it be a triple threat match though? Because normally, if you win that, you don't get entered into. Normally you don't get entered into a. Normally you don't get entered, you don't get entered into a triple threat. So why are we doing it this time? It really should be Io versus Bianca.

Speaker 1:

Should be, but you know they not keeping Rio off that card.

Speaker 2:

Exactly so. Should it be a triple threat? No, will it be yes? Will it be a good match? Yes, because all three of them are great performers, without question. All three of them are great performers, so I mean excitement level. I give it about like a. I give it an eight, I give it an eight and a half. I give it an eight and a half because I think all three of them are dope.

Speaker 1:

Now my next question is probably going to be in contention, with three matches, with two other matches to be the main event of night one. To be the main event of night one, you got another triple threat match Seth Rollins, roman Reigns and CM Punk, which is just the assumption at the moment, and you got the match that's official, jey Uso versus Gunter. All those three matches and you got Tiffany Stratton versus Charlotte Flair, but I don't think that has a shot in the hill.

Speaker 2:

He doesn't. Which one man? I don't think. Triple A said that in the press conference that it goes off who's going to tell the best stories? Jey Uso and Gunther is being hot a little bit, but I think he probably opened the night. And Gunther is being hot a little bit, but I think he probably opened the night with one of them, with Jay and Gunther, the Roman and the punk thing you already know I'm sour on. So I would say let's put this as the hell out.

Speaker 1:

That's probably what it's going to be. If I had to guess, put my money on it, it'd be Roman seeing Pug and Seth Rollins. I can't imagine Roman not being in the main event of APLE. When he's wrestling he's never there anyway, so when he's there, he's usually in the main event.

Speaker 1:

It'd be tough to see it but I wouldn't mind it if it was Jay and Gunther, the women personally for this Triple Threat match. They would have a lot of work to do to get it. They could do it. But I think the best chance for a women's WrestleMania event would be Rhea Ripley versus Bianca in a one-on-one straight-up match. That's the biggest match they can make. If they do the story right, I think in a main event next year's WrestleMania maybe, maybe night two I'm probably just speaking nonsense, but maybe night two for them yeah, we know what night two main event is, though we know what that is.

Speaker 1:

this year next match crowd was a little dead for the tag team match Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus like we said last week, that's that premium milk right there Versus Nia Jax and Candice LeRae. Crowd was dead but to predictable winner Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus, they won. Little surprise. Charlotte Frye didn't make an appearance, but decent match, disappointing the crowd. Trish Stratus she's like 40. I think she's like 49. You this good, still Damn. You look like you looked when you was 25.

Speaker 2:

And you wrestle like you wrestled when you was 25. That woman different. There's something in that water up there. I got into the water to you. Something in that water. Here's my thing. I understand that you want to get Tiffany Stratton in it. I'm going to ask you would you rather have seen Trish Stratus just go against Naomi you?

Speaker 1:

mean Nia.

Speaker 2:

Jax. I mean, what did I say? I said Naomi. Thank you, Nia Jax.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I would much rather have a one-on-one match. You could have had Tiffany Stratton in her corner. I would have much rather have won. I feel like the crowd would have been more excited for the one-on-one for some reason, I don't know why.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think coming after a Elimination Chamber match, it's kind of hard. So putting it into that, putting that as the next match, made sense. But the crowd's going to be dead. They just had Jay just came out to knock Naomi out. You know we weren't sure who was going to win the women's. Then it was Bianca. Everybody loved Bianca. You know it kind of took the energy out it did. Then everybody looking forward to the men. So that next match is kind of like it felt like it was filler, yeah, but it wasn't like they put on a bad match.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm not saying it was the greatest, but it wasn't the best.

Speaker 1:

The crowd didn't help it at all, True, but yeah, predictable winner, not surprised Next up these men Golly. From Fightful. Apparently that barbed wire was actual barbed wire. Man. I thought you'd be saying like are you sure y'all best friends with the way they be doing?

Speaker 2:

Think about it, though who else would you trust to actually have real barbed wire than the person who actually gives up about you? Like I always tell them, the person who gives up about you the most, yeah, if it's anybody, I'm going to do that with. It's going to be him.

Speaker 1:

It's going to be that guy. Kevin Owens and Sammy Zaynes. They absolutely killed you. They started out a little slow. They went out to the crowd, they did the usual.

Speaker 2:

They turned the lights down.

Speaker 1:

I don't know if they listened to the podcast, but I believe you and Drizzy talked about how, when AEW they renewed a lights-out match, which is basically a sanctioned match, it must have hurt y'all. I mean, they need to cut y'all a check or something because they turned the lights down. The ref didn't have the usual ref stuff, but he ended up getting knocked out and they brought out a regular ref that had the ref stuff. So did that make it sanctioned? At that moment in time? I don't know. That's neither here nor there.

Speaker 1:

The match was good. They killed each other. Kevin Owens, he basically, he literally put Sami Zayn in the stretcher. The highlight of the match well, the match was good, but the highlight after the match was Randy Orton coming out. My first thought was why you come out during the match. You watched Sami Zayn almost get killed and you waited to have the match, okay, and then Randy Orton and Garay lined up at punt and I was like damn, it brought me back, because when I was back, when I was originally watching WWE, that's when Randy Orton was really punting people. He punted John Cena's son, john Cena's dad, and that was one of my favorite finishes. Actually, a couple of my friends in elementary school. We actually did that finishing move on some people we got in trouble.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I heard plenty of people, bro. We was plenty of each other. We was kids. We was fourth and fifth graders. Hey, we was kids. We was kids, we got in trouble. We definitely got in trouble for it. But yeah, he lined it up. The refs stopped him.

Speaker 2:

No, we not doing that why I got out here putting these in the fifth grade. Bro, I understand the DX thing, but actually we got in trouble for that too. That's not deserved to me.

Speaker 1:

Hey bro, y'all sweating bro. We was kids, we was fourth and fifth grade. We was doing stuff that we should have been doing.

Speaker 2:

I understand some of the wrestling moves, like a DD, a power. You know a DDT, all right, a powerbomb, I don't understand. But if you got nothing on, cool but the punch, all right, cool.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we did it. A little funny story. I didn't do it, but one of my friends he was tying his shoes and another one of my friends got him one good time, didn't get suspended but he definitely got in trouble.

Speaker 2:

Y'all are doing permanent brain damage possible. It feels great. All right, bro, my baby, go ahead.

Speaker 1:

Hey it this one. It feels great. All right, bro, go ahead. It was funny. But what's your thoughts outside of me and my friends punting each other and feeling great? What's your thoughts on KO Sami Zayn and Randy Orton coming back?

Speaker 2:

Okay, so my first initial thought was okay, that was a great match, it was excellent. Happy for it. What does Sammy do now for WrestleMania? That was my thought. I know most people wouldn't go there, but that's where I went, okay. So what does Sammy do now? He might be sitting out, because I don't know what storyline can you maneuver him into.

Speaker 1:

You can't Things start to get locked in. It's about a clear picture. There's a few things here and there that we don't know, but it's a clear picture of where it's going Like pretty much everybody we can see.

Speaker 2:

So like, let's say, titles Only titles we can't see a picture for is the Raw tag team and then the Intercontinental women's. But the rest of the titles, like the US women, we already know it's going to be Chessie and Meechan. We know that's coming. They're probably going to wrestle one more time before, but we know that's coming. We know the SmackDown tag team. We know all the heavywe team. We know all the heavyweights. We know all the women heavyweights. We know the US. Probably. We know the US. We ain't 100% sure, but we know it's probably going to be. It's going to have LA Knight and Shisuke and maybe some other factors but it's probably going to be Carmelo too.

Speaker 1:

Maybe We'll see. Yeah, Maybe we'll see.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we know. With the Intercontinental we got a feeling of what that's going to be. Yeah, we know all these title pitches. And then we know all of the non-title pitches Storylines is working towards too. Sami Zayn, don't fit in none of them, man, because now it's going to be Kevin Owens and Randy as a resume.

Speaker 1:

So is Sami Zayn really sitting this hell. He might, he might be.

Speaker 2:

But I'm saying, ain't he a big? You tell me, am I true? Is he not a big enough name that he should be on the wrestling team?

Speaker 1:

He's a big enough name that he should be on it. My guess is he may not have a match but he may get involved In a Randy KO match. That's my guess. Okay, I don't know if that's going to please the Sami Zayn fans out there. If I was a big Sami Zayn fan it wouldn't please me. I like Sami Zayn Not a big fan, but I really do like his work. He should be on the card, but he'll probably just come out there and interfere in KO Randy Orton. Allow Randy Orton to get the win, then they'll run back KO Sammy again. Maybe, I don't know. Triple H I'm just here enjoying the ride. That's what we do. But again, like I said, great match them guys. They be killing each other. We'll probably see one of them go again eventually down the line and I will be seated to watch it every second of it as well. I'm going to choose that.

Speaker 1:

Next up is the men's Elimination Chamber match. Seth Rollins, logan Paul, damian Priest, john Cena who am I missing? Drew McIntyre and CM Punk Started out a little slow. I don't think it really picked up until it was Seth Rollins, cm Punk and John Cena. That's when I think the match really picked up. We knew Drew. We knew Dam. I think the match really picked up. We knew Drew. We knew Damian Priest wasn't going to win. We knew Logan Paul wasn't going to win. When it got to, drew McIntyre got out early. They doing this he's always losing type of storyline. Get it together, drew. You always getting rolled up is not the way to go out. But once Drew Logan and Damien Priest came out, it started to heat up. Seth Rollins really hates CM Punk. Dog. I didn't know you could hate somebody that much personally.

Speaker 2:

It's deep, dog, it's deep, it's real, it's real.

Speaker 1:

It's real hate. Damien Priest eliminated Drew McIntyre. I forgot how I think Logan, but got how I think Logan. Paul got Drew.

Speaker 2:

I mean Logan Paul got.

Speaker 1:

Damian, damian, logan Paul got Damian. Cm Punk hit Logan Paul with a go to sleep. John Cena hit him with a. It's probably going to go back to the FU attitude adjustment, but we'll talk about that in a second Attitude adjustment.

Speaker 1:

Cm Punk knocked him out. Seth Rollins got out by CM Punk, I'm pretty sure and Seth Rollins hit CM Punk with a mean stomp on it's not still anymore, it's clearly padded. But outside the Elimination Chamber and John Cena hit him with the STF. He said he was sorry. Let's be honest, the match was decent, it was cool, but that wasn't it. That wasn't the story.

Speaker 2:

I was going to say what are we talking about? We know who it was. Get to the point that wasn't the story.

Speaker 1:

Cody Rhodes came out, dapped up. John Cena, that's your WrestleMania main event. More than likely Well, I'm not going to say more than likely Night to Night 2 WrestleMania name event, it is without question. The Rock came out with Travis Scott. Ironically, I was like what's Travis Scott doing out there? I don't know, it's neither here nor there. The Rock asked Cody for an answer and Cody hit him with the go fuck yourself, I ain't doing it. John Cena, with his funny animated self in the background, hyped. He gave Cody Rhodes a hug. The Rock did the little slit throat thing and I'm going to read this straight off Twitter because I saw it this morning. The Guinness Book of World Records that said it. Yeah, john Cena now holds the Guinness World Record for the longest baby face run in WWE history. What an incredible run of 21 years, three months and 23 days.

Speaker 1:

John Cena turned heel, hit CM Punk I mean hit Cody Rhodes with a low blow and beat the brakes off that man while the Rock just watched. And then the Rock got into it and started whipping him with a belt. I know that gave Cody Rhodes flashbacks Flashback. I know them flashbacks of last year's hit Travis Scott. You need to work on your work. Punches, dog. You smacked the hell out of Cody Rose. Apparently you bust his a-drum in Game of Black Eye. Relax a little bit. I know you was hype, just relax a little bit, travis. But your thoughts on that last segment.

Speaker 2:

Can I start with Travis first? Travis feels like he's out of place for these moments. But it actually worked for that, because it's gonna go hollywood scene, I'm assuming but like a hollywood rock, like hollywood, you know. I'm saying so. It actually worked. But they gotta train him and tell him like, okay, you gotta be in this spot, you gotta do this. You got to do that Because at one point Rock said hold him down, while Travis was holding him down. But Travis was like you're taking a long time to get over, so I'm going to let him up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Y'all see that. Put him back down.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they got to train him and tell him hey, this is exactly what you're doing, boy, I heard you this, this and this. That's all that. We need you to do, nothing else. You know what I'm saying. Nothing else Cool, and I like Jarvis Scott as a heel in the WWE. It actually works. He does kind of look out of place, just because they ain't give him the right tools to do it. John Cena turned a heel. You know what's crazy, bro? We should have saw this coming.

Speaker 1:

I said it wasn't going to happen.

Speaker 2:

My dumb ass, yeah, but we should have saw it coming, I guess because we didn't believe that Cena was possibly Cena could be a heel, because he hadn't been a heel for this long, because we discussed it, you know, and we was like man, it's been this long. Now I forget it. If you think about it, it makes sense. He's going off. I got to do what I got to do to get this last one. After this I'm going strictly Hollywood. If y'all need me, call me, but I ain't really coming. You know what I'm saying. It makes all the sense in the world. It's kind of the Kofi thing with me, though it's going to have to grow on me. Cena being a heel is going to have to grow. Kofi is starting to grow on me. He still can do a kind of look out of place as a heel. Xavier fits, it fits him, he can do it. Kofi still seems out of place and I think the Cena thing is going to seem out of place for a while. It's going to have to grow on me.

Speaker 2:

But as far as the shock of it, the shock of it is what? What made it this a big deal? Now we are like Triple H said. Now we are in WrestleMania season. You got you. We are like Triple H said now we are in WrestleMania season. You got Hill Cena, hill Cena. Those two words you didn't think you was going to hear. Together, that's together.

Speaker 1:

When he first started Dr Thuganomas, he was a heel. It wasn't that long because the crowd loved him and they turned him babyface pretty quickly. He's been a babyface for so long. There was teases. He even said that there was a moment in time where they thought about doing it, but they nixed it last minute. I just didn't think it was going to happen. Not in his last run, Not the last year.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but they did. Why not? It's the last year. I'm on my way out the door. Now it's really got to be Randy that. Get him that shirt. Babyface Randy in Hill Cena has got to be, has to be Randy, even more so now. But now what you talking about?

Speaker 1:

Oh, I loved it. Like I said, I didn't think it was going to happen. I thought it's last year. He's going to go out as a babyface and that's what they should do. I was wrong. I'm enjoying it. It made me that much more excited for WrestleMania that night. Two match Hill, john Cena versus babyface. The ultimate babyface, cody Rhodes. I'm actually super excited for it now. I would have been excited for it if it was babyface versus babyface, but I'm that much more excited than it's a heel, john Cena and the Rock. Obviously he looks like he's not going to be fighting at WrestleMania, but he's going to be involved in some way, shape or form and I'm excited. I'm going to go ahead and call it a nail. I ain't going to change it. I got John Cena winning.

Speaker 2:

Hmm, hmm.

Speaker 1:

I think I'm going to go with Cody. We already disagree with something Wrestlemania can't come soon enough. Oh man, that was exciting, but again shock factor. You know it's crazy when non WWE accounts start posting about it. First take talked about it, first take talked about it. I saw a funny about it.

Speaker 2:

First Take talked about it.

Speaker 1:

Shannon Sharpe said I'm going to be in the ring I saw a funny TikTok where a guy was on the first date with a girl and the whole date he was talking about how shocking it was that John Cena turned heel. That's how you know John Cena's mainstream. That's how you know how big of a deal this is. Ross Mina is going to be huge Las Vegas. I got y'all a good one. I thought WrestleMania wasn't good. I thought WrestleMania couldn't get much better than last year, but it got this much better with WrestleMania 41. But that'll do it from my perspective. College basketball slash WWE edition today. I'm your boy, dion, again Like subscribe. Leave a comment of your thoughts on these topics we've talked about. Hit that link and buy your shorty something from the shop. I'm your boy, dion. Speaker 2:

I'm sick of the Lakers. I'm sick of the Lakers. I need them to start losing they number two seed. That's all I get. I'm sick of them.

Speaker 1:

Crazy thing about the West, though you have a bad two, three games, you back to like number seven seed. That's what I need from the Lakers, but that'll do it again from our perspective. Holler, at us next week when, when we talk about something, we'll figure it out when we get there. Hope you have a good rest of your weekend, man hey y'all heard another bad shit.

Speaker 2:

Boy, mr Bell, aka Say your name above the spot, might not put you to mock.
