Welcome, welcome, welcome to not just another episode from our perspective, but it's episode number 100. That's why we're doing it live in person for the first time ever. We got to make it special for episode 100. You know me, I'm your boy, deion Captain Aiden himself. How you doing, man, you?
Speaker 3:already know the rest. It's your boy, mr Bell aka aka. Say your name upon the spot. Might not be what you mind.
Speaker 1:What's going on, man, not much. No, episode 100. Not a lot of people make it to episode one, let alone 100, so hey, I don't need a three-up, oh great.
Speaker 2:I don't need a three-up. Hey guys, my bad, I ain't mean to do that.
Speaker 3:I ain't know what this man right here is. Well, yeah, this man right here.
Speaker 1:Y'all know, friend of the pod, dq. He knows, like I said, you got to take your shoes off when you come in. He knows where the liquor's at. He knows where the bathroom's at. He's watching his Knicks right now. He's doing the Knicks game right here with DQ.
Speaker 5:Y'all know the vibes man Knicks and six Knicks and six.
Speaker 1:This guy at the end, first time on the pod, but a very close friend of mine. His name is also Dion. I'm not talking to a third person, just saying he's also Dion as well, but he's the man behind the camera, has tremendous skills with the cameras. Book with the man, that's all I ask. Book with him. His prices are reasonable and he does great work. As he's also producing this video right here, I give a big thank you to him. And he does great work and he's also producing this video right here. I give a big thank you to him for producing this.
Speaker 4:I asked him a couple weeks ago he said yeah, I can do it here he is doing it. How you doing, leon, I'm good. Hey you, a real hype man, model, hype man Actor soon to be. Can we get on?
Speaker 3:the model stuff. You don't want to be taking all the pictures. Brad be out here thinking this is GQ for real.
Speaker 4:I got his full catalog and we got something working.
Speaker 3:We got something out there, so he got more bottle stuff coming out.
Speaker 4:No, no, no, After oh you acting?
Speaker 5:him. He's the producer, he does all the producing, you act and now you know nothing about this.
Speaker 1:That's it Alright, that's the bridge behind everything Alright.
Speaker 3:I ain't know.
Speaker 4:I knew he was modeling he's still got to sign his contract, but we'll talk about this right now I'm a podcast but we didn't talk about it on episode number 99.
Speaker 1:Episode 99 was full of other stuff, but I gotta talk about it today cause my cowboys made a move. Jerry Jones actually did something besides just sit on his butt and do nothing. He went and traded for George Pickens, traded a third-round pick and a fifth-round pick. Now, from my perspective, I wasn't a big fan of George Pickens Still not a big fan of him. His character doesn't seem like it's that high, but he's a damn good player. He works well with Dak Prescott, because Dak Prescott is a guy that likes to just throw it up and give it to him so he has a chance. That's what George Pickett is. He's the guy like hey, it ain't 50-50, it's 70-30. It's going to work out in the sense that he works well with what Dak Prescott likes. Problem is it's basically a one-year deal. This is contract year, but usually players on their contract year they're on their best behavior and they try to play their best Best behavior hey shoot.
Speaker 3:Can we get that done? Yeah, go ahead, go ahead and finish your thing.
Speaker 1:I don't want to cut it off, but since it's necessary, because usually players are on their best behavior. They play their best when they contract here. I can see this only being a one-year thing. He does great prices, sell south, tries to be a number one somewhere else Because he's really a number one receiver, but he ain't the number one in Dallas because we got Cedar. But I'm going to let Q go because obviously he's got of this Chess you want to talk about.
Speaker 2:Y'all always.
Speaker 3:Talking about my Cowboys. I'll tell you first when we did the run down. Now I think about it. Why did we start with Dallas?
Speaker 2:I don't understand.
Speaker 3:That should have been towards the end of the show. I don't understand why we started Now that I think about it. But, that being said, you said, because you're Chuckle too right Penca's in best behavior. On what day? On what day and what season? Let's not forget dude was at every fight for us and another dude was playing was at every fight for us. You think he's going to be on his best behavior because he's a contract here.
Speaker 2:I'm hoping so, because that's what you're supposed to do.
Speaker 1:You're supposed to be your best behavior, player. It's usually how it works. The best behavior is one thing, but usually players, for some reason they be going super singing when it's their contract year because they understand that bag is coming soon.
Speaker 4:Think about this, just hear me out. All right, nba Young Boys best start this first tour and George Pickens is traded to the Cowboys and he is fueled by nothing but NBA and other boy and Steve Aston that makes so much sense.
Speaker 3:I didn't know that that makes so much sense.
Speaker 1:Enough shade what's your thoughts, Steve? They should know, like I said, I'm not a big fan of the player, but I think I'm hoping I'm not going to say I think I'm hoping and praying that he's on his best behavior because it's his contract year.
Speaker 5:I mean, you got yours big, you got something to clap for. Jerry did something. Somebody else went to over the top.
Speaker 3:Hey, I mean y'all didn, I didn't sign. Be hot at his end.
Speaker 4:Yeah, I made a move very moving, right move.
Speaker 1:I would have preferred to work Cooper. But let's be honest, George Pickens is a man. You sure he didn't do that Because we had him, Y'all got rid of him for no reason.
Speaker 4:That was a reason why they should have gotten rid of him. He didn't want to pay the money period.
Speaker 1:No, they got rid of him because he didn't want to get the jab. The jab was upset, that's what it was. He didn't want to get the jab. He said, that's why I traded him. He went to Cleveland for a fifth-round pick. Come on, come on my bad Big purr for three.
Speaker 3:For this guy Real quick. Let's run this back to Amari Cooper. Amari Cooper is how old? 30, 31. I could have swiped over the name. He's in his early 30s. Okay for a round of season. You don't think that's a little too old Next time? Y'all can't go what for George Pickens? A third of a fifth.
Speaker 2:Y'all can't go a third for a dude that's probably not even gonna be there. Next, year.
Speaker 1:That's probably the reason why I wasn't a big fan of him.
Speaker 4:Yeah, especially not off your old. Let me go ahead and trade you with one. He's 30. Mark Cooper's 30.
Speaker 5:He's what he should have been. 31 in June.
Speaker 1:He was super young when he got to the league, because he could have been trade bait if he didn't work out.
Speaker 3:It don't make to me. It don't make sense. It also don't make sense from a Pittsburgh standpoint. I'm telling you that's mercy Y'all ain't even got a quarterback. So y'all need the best Robert Stevens y'all can get to throw the ball to. But Pittsburgh do have a history of dealing with Robert Stevens that have temper tantrums Because you know pretty much. You said sorry, Robert Stevens was a hollow faker. We can get there, we can go there. You feel like he is, I feel like he ain't, Is he?
Speaker 1:not you see the numbers. We might as well get there. So pretty much we were doing all the conversations. We were talking about who's a Hall of Famer and who's not. Obviously, we do know TO should have been in the first round of the Hall of Famer, but he wasn't, because he threw 10 potentials. He was a problem in a lot of ways for most people Some people he wasn't, sometimes he was. Whatever I'm saying, ab Antonio Brown, former receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is a Hall of Fame first ballot receiver. Will he be on first ballot? I will be highly surprised if he's first ballot. I'll be highly surprised if he gets it anytime soon. He should get in, though, and he should be first ballot, because he was that dude, these guys think I'm tripping Chad.
Speaker 3:Ochoa ain't in. Who do you think is better? Who do you think is a better player? Ab was a better player.
Speaker 1:Who had a better career. Ab was dominant for. Chad had a longer career.
Speaker 3:Chad had the better career. I agree AB probably was the better player, but if Chad ain't in with the better career, why do you think, Antonio? When he's good. What about six, seven seasons? What's he going to get in? I think he should. And we ain't even talking. I'm not even getting to the off the field stuff yet. That's the reason why I don't think he gets in. The only thing crazy TO did was in the driveway doing push-ups With his weight bench and stuff. I mean, that's what TO said, though am I right?
Speaker 3:That's the only crazy thing TO did. As far as, like bro, what you doing, like I'm giving you the side-eye, that's the only crazy thing TO did. He got in on the second track. I don't think with all this stuff that Antonio did. I know he ain't getting in, but I don't think career-wise. As far as numbers, I don't think he should get in either. You pull up your numbers, I pull them up, I just disagree. What say you? Think about it.
Speaker 4:They had Ben Roethlisberger, ab, and Le'Veon Bell. Those two alone, ab and Le'Veon. We're not talking about the same what's going on now. They couldn't keep whatever was going on in the locker room together. They both could have been unquestioned Hall of Famers one or two First or second.
Speaker 3:But for that politics stuff Real quick before we get to that. Do you think that's a Tomlin problem, because you see that it continues to work? Issues with Tomlin, let's try to go over his head.
Speaker 4:That's the whole locker room culture. Let's look over his head. Okay, that's a whole locker room culture.
Speaker 1:All right, let's look at Antonio Brown's stats. In 12 seasons 928 receptions, 12,291 yards, 83 touchdowns.
Speaker 4:Let's see he did some, that's including the Patriots. That's all his post years, all his seasons, and he got a ring?
Speaker 3:Yeah, I got that right he did. And as you read the numbers off he might have a pity ring.
Speaker 5:I didn't know how many yards you saying he did 12,000. 12,000. I was going to say as you read the numbers off and then you got them little 3-4 game seasons that he didn't play, you know and here is Chad Ochoacinco, who also thinks should be.
Speaker 1:The fact that he's not even getting consideration is absolutely crazy to me, but his stats he played 11 seasons, 766 receptions, 11,059 yards in 67 TV's 766 receptions $11,059.67.
Speaker 3:It's what he did on the field, though, and what he meant to his team, because Chad never had a running back. Chad never had a running back like Le'Veon Bill.
Speaker 1:Never Now he did have TJ Husman, tj Husman's out, he was solid.
Speaker 3:He did have another receiver on the other end. That's where Antonio Brown yeah, he did. So Martavius for two seconds. He got two brothers too. I'm saying it might be a Tomlin problem. We keep thinking that it might be, and I don't want to say that because he's a black man, black coach. Like it might be, and I don't want to say that because he's a black man, black coach.
Speaker 1:You know Our question is we're here now since we talked about Mike Thomas. I saw Ryan Clark talk about it. He basically said he takes his time for Mike Thomas to go to a different team, like Andy Reid did when he left Philadelphia with the Kansas City. He takes his time for Mike Thomas. He just needs to, you know, refresh it up, get to a different team. He'll probably have a lot more success. Y'all feeling it. Personally, I would love for Mike Townley to be my coach, because he's a leader of men. Who is y'all coach? Some puppet master Now, fred, what's your coach's name? Brian Shotman.
Speaker 5:I was about to say Marty Shotman.
Speaker 1:We got a son. We got Brian Shotman. Hey, you should get the daddy man.
Speaker 3:We got a son, we got a Brian Shaw. They need to get the daddy man. Nah, uh, yeah. Yeah, it might be time. I don't want to say that because I hate to see the man go from there. But, like you said, Andy Rewind no, because of the fact Andy Rewind, he got a quarterback. That's all it was. That's what it boiled down to. That's all it was. That's what it boiled down to, that's all it was. You get you a Hall of Fame quarterback, a top tier quarterback. Then that changes. And this goes back to another thing why the hell did they not drive the quarterback in this draft? Because they're waiting on Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 1:And who does that Even? If you wait on them. I'm driving the quarterback.
Speaker 3:Hey, shador, you're going to sit behind 12 for a season because that's all he's going to give you is a season everybody's talking about the Steelers franchise and how great they are, the fact that they let Shador slide all the way down there. Maybe they ain't using their head, but then again, shador did mess up these interviews. Apparently he might have rubbed somebody the wrong way, but at some point you got to get over there because you need a quarterback man.
Speaker 1:You Will, howard solid quarterback but he to rub somebody the wrong way. But at some point you got to get over there because you need a quarterback man. You Will Howard solid quarterback, but he had a lot of pieces around him in Ohio State. He got a ring but you see that team he had around him in Ohio State he had. Jeremiah Smith Probably would have been the first receiver taken in this draft as a freshman.
Speaker 2:You.
Speaker 1:You ain't got that in pitch for her. That line is so-so. Right now you ain't got a running game because Najee Harris is gone. All you got after. You're going to get to the line of scrimmage. You're going to see DK to your right. You're going to look to your left and see some no-name guy.
Speaker 3:That's right, they should have killed him, they should have found the tickets. But I'm saying Shadur was a clip to know, was the clear Second of no work. No works before that's quarterback. Really right there. No, let's no works before that's going to be a young lady slide and some would try and get over the interview and break. It means for you all.
Speaker 1:Is there anything NFL wise we need to talk about because we got game six on D, anything NFL-wise we need to talk about Because I mean we got game six on DQ he locked in? We need to talk about the NBA a little bit, probably.
Speaker 5:You ain't got nothing for the Steelers. I mean, y'all talking about Tomlin need to leave. I think Tomlin's good where he is. If he can get a quarterback, he good. That's his own doing. You was the one that went out there and got Tweedledee and Tweedledum rushing down Justin Fields and they like both of them. Now you're playing Aaron Rodgers he ain't trying to go everywhere, but the Steelers he really want to go to your team. I know I really want him to. You don't believe in JJ, no, no. Your team. I know I really want to. You don't believe in JJ, no, no, no. That's it. Ready-made team for a ready-made quarterback.
Speaker 3:But I already made the way Sam Darnold can do what he?
Speaker 4:did Not JJ McCoy?
Speaker 1:I believe Aaron Rodgers can do what Sam Darnold did. Plus, I don't believe in JJ, I just think CJ. When he was a quarterback in college for Michigan he was a run heavy team.
Speaker 4:They didn't he's all right. He said it and I'll take all the hate. He even brought Purdy back.
Speaker 1:JJ. I mean, if he gives you Purdy, that's a team you wanna go to.
Speaker 4:And I just wanna to say, because if you Look at how Party started His career To where he is Now, he had that. He had that LeBron way when everything Was built around it.
Speaker 1:Since you're Talking about Brock Perry, you might as well. He got paid. 53 a year Puts you down. Since you're talking about Brock Perry, you might as well. He got paid. $53 a year Puts you down, not top tier, but puts you above the bar. But that's a little odd. Your thoughts on Brock Perry getting paid.
Speaker 3:I got another thing that involves the Vikings, but we'll get there in a second. You know, I said this before. I don't think he was a if the starting, if Dak was 60, let's take that off, then everybody else. Josh Allen was around 55. I don't think he should be in the 50s. I think he should have been in the high 40s. That's no shade to Brock Burley. I just see what everybody else is getting paid and I also see his skill level. There's no shade to him. He's a, like you said, lebron, everything around him is good. Okay, cool, you're going to be good. Do you look at Brock Purdy and be like man, you're going to win me this game. He can't pull a Tom Brady.
Speaker 1:Something that I heard in the podcast was like you define quarterbacks either one or two, one way or another. Is he a truck or is he a trainer? Brock Brock Perry, for what he's shown so far in his career, he's a trailer. He's a trailer, Not a bad thing. There's been trailers that win Super Bowls. That's the same, but it's getting truck money.
Speaker 3:That's the issue. That's the point. Pay him in the 40s, and pay him in the 40s because that's the production he's going to give you on the field and that's about $40 million.
Speaker 2:We ain't like, we're saying pray for a 10.
Speaker 3:We're saying $40 million. Well, I'm saying I don't know $40 million, I won't put that in your head, I mean look, look, look.
Speaker 4:It's how I feel they can give him a Justin Fields deal for all I care, because for the simple fact he had everything put in front of him. He arguably has a Hall of Famer running back and receiver depending on how he votes Ends up doing the rest of his career what they should have did, and he choked twice in the Super Bowl. That's why he got paid, though and it's hard, and you always got to get back paid but my thing is he's not 250 or whatever he got. He's not Because San Francisco is just too scared to be like, oh, we need another quarterback. I understand that. I understand that.
Speaker 1:But I don't know how many years he had left on his contract. I'm assuming he had one more year, but right now it was a mass exodus in San Francisco. This would have been a good year to see if he's a truck or a truck, but they decided he's just going to play a new truck. Yeah, with Ray McLeod. That's about it. Yeah, that's right. That's all right. And Brandon, how are you coming off from the injury? He's saying prove your work is real. One leg mechanics. One more thing on the NFL. Before we get out of here, move to the next topic. It involves the Vikings a little bit, but it involves Caleb Williams. I don't know if you guys have seen it, but there was an article, there was a story that came out that Caleb Williams for a while him and his father was trying to get away out of getting drafted by the Chicago First and Bottom and specifically trying to find a way to the Minnesota Vikings. Now, I'm sure you would have took Caleb Williams over JJ McCarthy, correct?
Speaker 5:I ain't never seen Caleb Williams play. I just know the young man painted his fingernails. I knew this was coming. That's all I knew about it.
Speaker 2:I knew this was coming.
Speaker 5:I ain't never watched him play once. I tell you that I watched him play twice last year. He didn't look that good.
Speaker 1:Because another thing that came out in that story apparently the head coach or the officer coordinator didn't tell him what to watch in film. It was all on Caleb Williams to watch his own film. That's malpractice. You hear that? That was malpractice. Basically he had to watch film to free out of himself. That is malpractice. Apparently he asked OC what should I be looking for? They didn't give him any answers, so he did it himself. That's malpractice and that's why they don't have jobs, no more.
Speaker 3:That's why they don't have jobs no more. They don't deserve jobs If you got a franchise quarterback that y'all just drafted and y'all not giving him what to look for they should have filed a job with three. Well, actually, let's be real, they should have filed that whole staff two years before.
Speaker 1:But that's neither here nor there. You don't think they're waiting to start Justin Fields.
Speaker 5:They got a seven team. At this point they ain't making this one. What 85?
Speaker 3:They got the Super Bowl when they had De the Super Bowl, they did.
Speaker 1:When they had Devin Heston.
Speaker 3:They got to the Super Bowl with Lovey and Devin Heston out there.
Speaker 5:Oh yeah, they beat or they played. Hey, yeah, they had.
Speaker 3:I think, rex Grossman, rex Grossman, they wasted Aaron.
Speaker 4:Foster they did yeah, that's a waste. They let him go to the Jets and just said go die. That's crazy.
Speaker 1:But NFL talk, let's go ahead and slide to the NBA. My man DK. He locked into game six of the New York Knicks. Y'all, let them win game five on the line. You're supposed to kill a gnat with a sledgehammer. You're not supposed to let him up while you're down. Where you see a gnat at, Call the boss of the're down when you see the netted Colin Boston and that is kind of wild.
Speaker 5:Where you see the netted, the defending champs are back now. It's a figure of speech.
Speaker 3:but you know, I'm saying but that is kind of wild. I'm saying you're back in the morning.
Speaker 5:They're going to stay on. They're hanging by an Achilles right now.
Speaker 3:That's crazy. Alright we're. We not go front box the like that we not go front box?
Speaker 2:the like that we not go front box the like that they're going to give him some respect, damn.
Speaker 3:Let's be real. Horford's the champion, oh shit. Well, true, but I'm saying Drew's a two-time champion. Derrick White is a scrapper. He's a dude, that's called scrap. We can't act like Zayn LeBron wasn't the.
Speaker 1:He's the conference final, final MVP, or whatever he got the Larry Bird trophy, whatever they called the Bill Hartman, Bill Russell trophy, whatever Ain't no way he.
Speaker 3:we can't act like he didn't do both of them. Now Porzingis is sick, that's nuts.
Speaker 5:All right bro.
Speaker 3:You know what I'm saying. You on for the twist, though you on for the twist.
Speaker 5:I ain't saying I don't, but is your ring tone.
Speaker 3:It's all on. Chill, oh, chill. All right, let me go ahead and say it For a thing, this is not healthy. If, for a thing, this was healthy, I think I would have picked New York City. I mean, I would pick Boston Because no shade, chill, chill If Fort Zingas was healthy, chill If Fort Zingas wasn't going through any ailment that we do not know. Some things are reported but we do not know. I would pick Boston because of the simple fact I ain't got no second chance. He don't got no second chance.
Speaker 2:Things is important, but we do not know.
Speaker 3:I will be.
Speaker 4:Boston because the simple fact I get off a cake that's the big part, the biggest.
Speaker 1:I know he pulling three from 10 feet back right boom, give me that so if you guys know the game is live there in the Gordon Spike Lee, he is in the building. But I want to talk about the potential Knicks and let's be honest, the Knicks should pull this one out. They should, I'm just saying they should. I'm a little nervous because if they lose this game, who knows what happens in Game 7 in Boston? But they should. If they do, they have a fast paced Pacers team waiting for them. What is your confidence level? And keep in mind you have a Pacers super fan sitting to your left the Pacers had to take us to seven games last year.
Speaker 5:Only one of the Brunson got hurt.
Speaker 3:That's not the case whatsoever.
Speaker 5:Y'all have done so anyway. This is pre-camp. This is before the built-to-beat box.
Speaker 3:Y'all struggling. Y'all struggling to beat Boston without one of the people that y'all was built to beat.
Speaker 5:We struggling to beat the defending champions.
Speaker 3:Without one of the person, without Taylor. See, now I got to do what they was doing. Hey brother, listen, what we not going to act like is we can't get y'all Paces and six and four Paces and six. Matter of fact, I don't care if it's Boston Pacers in six. Pacers in six. I don't care if it's Boston, I don't care if it's New York, pacers in six.
Speaker 1:Pacers in six. Pacers in six.
Speaker 4:Because I feel like Bane on the end of this couch. I'm about to tear up Everybody's team. I know New York.
Speaker 1:Boston, minnesota, okc. Tear up everybody's teams. Who's left? I know New York, boston, minnesota, okc and Denver. They got a game set for Sunday.
Speaker 4:We y'all playing a game of F Mary Kill right now, and the two that look the best is the Thunder and Minnesota Pacers. Tell me how. Tell me how, Now, now I'm going to say this we in the crib what?
Speaker 3:He's not in the crib, we in the crib.
Speaker 4:Pacers are good, but I feel like they a team of role players.
Speaker 2:Like everybody just play their role.
Speaker 4:But Halliburton, falling apart, is hoping, just like Tatum players, like everybody, just play their own. We like exactly how Burton fall apart.
Speaker 3:It's over, just like just like taking power breakers for 10 points. We still have. We still have three weeks, but I'm gonna get that bump.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm saying tell her we're talking about the Knicks, if they have a good chance. We talked about the teams was then. I said it don't matter OKC winning at all because they look the best team. You were talking about how good your pace was looking. They got a lot of players that can get you 12-plus points, which is not a bad thing, honestly.
Speaker 3:I know 10-D and I 10-D can score. Oklahoma City's 10-D can't score.
Speaker 1:Denver they go like 7 deep. You just said one of them hurt. Yeah, one of them is. Just knew it was Aaron Gordon string hamstring Minnesota. They also another team. They don't know that thing, they think they go like 8 deep.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and George Randall, he borrowed his last series, but you're going to bank on him to borrow again. I hope he do, but do you bank on him? We already know how New York Knicks did I mean, are they still in the playoffs?
Speaker 4:yeah, and that's the thing. If they turn the lights on, the house is full.
Speaker 1:Let's be honest the house is full also, we know how New York Knicks get down. We know how Timbs get down. He going to ride his six to the Willis Hall.
Speaker 5:Yeah, but he deep enough to go deeper?
Speaker 1:Yeah, but he know how Timbs is. It's the deepest thing he ever had. He looking at the six men maybe the seven men, the rest of them, they might not even be on the bench.
Speaker 3:Look man, pace is a six. I don't even understand why we whether it's Boston or New York, paces are six Paces are six the Chiefs game.
Speaker 5:Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 1:All right, Paces are six. Let's go ahead and slide. Playoffs are still high and heavy. Right now, New York picks us up 33-20. That's why DQ is locked into TV. But we got to talk about the GOAT talk, Okay. So what goat talk are we talking about? What is the category?
Speaker 3:Let's just call it we're going to do ABA, because we ain't never really did this on the pod. Okay, top five Great ABA players of our time.
Speaker 1:Anybody want to go first? Who want to go first? Dion?
Speaker 4:want to go first. First I want to press this that's damn crazy. You see, I'm a D-Rolls fan, so I'm putting D-Rolls at the top. You're doing it personally, though, okay.
Speaker 1:I got to.
Speaker 4:But if we talk about the top half of his career, he was better than Westbrook. He was we can just say Westbrook, because he was probably one of the most athletic yeah, next to athletic, I'm going to put LeBron. I ain't a huge LeBron guy, but I'm not about to sit here and talk bad about a man who's been playing for 22 years and has did everything on this Kobe, because you be lying. You didn't say that I don't know how old or new he's going. So you can do, I'm going to do my all time.
Speaker 3:I don't know how old or new he going, so you can do. I would do my all time top five, but you can do, I'll have you on Cause you. Once you started with D-Rose I was like, okay, he doing his own, this is personal D-Rose.
Speaker 4:LeBron Kobe cause he's cold. Um, I mean, there's just so many AI, you can't leave him off there. He went crazy. And Phil Spott oh my God, I don't want to be that guy and say Jordan, because he's not the one. That's what you said.
Speaker 3:What he said you get yours, but we the bypass. You got to have your top five grades.
Speaker 4:He said yours, it's not my personal, it's not my personal Like, and that I'll throw Jordan on there just because this is so many. He said Jordan, I mean that's your personal one.
Speaker 1:Yes, I'm saying I'll let you Jordan.
Speaker 2:I mean that's your personal one.
Speaker 1:I was saying, I'll let you slide, I'll let you slide a little. No, the order can slide.
Speaker 2:The order can slide around.
Speaker 4:You can even put D-Rose at the bottom and then put Mike at the top and then go from there. But it's so hard picking top five. And I'm just saying because we're looking at Bird Irving Rose Like trying to leave half of them off is crazy.
Speaker 1:All right, you're right. I feel it. I feel it. I'm not going to judge you. If it was my personal one, d-wade would be first. But I'm not doing my personal, you're crazy.
Speaker 3:This is not my personal. Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa, we're not going to do that, like D-Wade ain't that, I ain't watch the 06 finals like. I did D-Wade's that dude on the court.
Speaker 1:Let's not talk about that Now, d-wade, I'm not talking about his off the court stuff.
Speaker 5:What are you talking about?
Speaker 1:We're talking about.
Speaker 3:D-Wade Top 10, maybe 15.
Speaker 1:Did y'all Favorite player. He is the being unbiased. He is the third best shooting guard.
Speaker 2:To lace him up I don't want to hear that, james Harden stuff.
Speaker 1:He's better than Rose. Rose is a point guard.
Speaker 3:Yes, oh he's talking about shooting, but he's way better than Rose. But I don't want to hear that, james.
Speaker 1:Harden stuff. I don't want to hear that James Harden stuff because he saw what James Harden does in game seven. James Harden does in game seven. He ain't James Harden, ain't better than Wade.
Speaker 3:Real quick. James Harden he got a lot of heat for game seven. He his scoring was bad, but he he played a little defense with some he don't do, and he was getting there but he didn't. He had like 12, 13 assists so it wasn't like he just sat there and didn't get a chance to get that off and I've seen a lot of James Burton hate for that game seven so I just wanted to get that off.
Speaker 1:But my goats rank them Rank them and they in order One and two. It should be universal. One and two. And I got Jordan, I got LeBron as a second, I got Kareem third, I got Magic fourth and I got Steph crazy and you leave Kobe out. This is something that I get some hate for. I like Kobe. He's a second-best shooter of all time, but he ain't tough. But because he's so like Jordan, I can. Anytime people book Durain's, Jordan is before Kobe. Every time I know y'all be seeing those. They have a list of players. They be like Shaq, Steph, Michael, Kobe, LeBron, Burt, who benching? I hate to do it. I'm benching Kobe If Jordan is in the picture.
Speaker 1:I'm benching.
Speaker 3:Kobe every time because I got Jordan. They're the same player. Kobe shoots the ball better, but he's not efficient when he shoots Kobe's mentality is better, though they the same mentality, same mentality.
Speaker 1:Kobe is right there behind Jordan. Jordan may be a little bit more physical. Kobe is right there behind Jordan in the shooting guard category. My shooting guard is obviously Jordan Kobe Wade. That's my top three. But my top five again Jordan LeBron. That should be the universal top two from my perspective. Should be. Do you got Kareem, magic and Steph? That's wild.
Speaker 5:Go ahead, go ahead. You said Kareem Magic. Okay, Jordan, look at this nigga. Come on, bro, focus on that. We got Jordan. As much as you know, I hate to do it. Baby, brian, brian. I put magic bird in the ring.
Speaker 2:No stance no stance.
Speaker 4:I respect that Magic bird bickering. That's the most respectable I respect that no, steph huh.
Speaker 1:Y'all don't respect a man. To change the game Okay.
Speaker 4:Steph is cold, but he changed the game for point guards and threes, not the overall game.
Speaker 3:Well, no, I would say that because now Biggs shoot a bunch of threes. If he wants to step, no, but he's 6'3 at the top 6'4, but he influenced all these other people to shoot. That's true. There's nobody.
Speaker 5:Ooh, that was nasty. Nobody saw the step coming, though.
Speaker 1:That's true. That don't mean he's not part of the top, he's in my top five.
Speaker 4:He's top ten, but he has it Magic and Bird was pulling up, pulling up, pulling up, pulling up. They just wasn't getting the recognition, but they was pulling up.
Speaker 3:Because 3 wasn't as popular back then. Larry was a shooter. But Larry, I was on the 3's. He was soft Larry was a shooter. If Larry actually shot the 3's he would be a lot higher.
Speaker 2:So this is mad as a matter of fact, I'm going to start with it. My son asks me damn near every day.
Speaker 3:Who's the greatest player today? Because, I ain't going to lie, I be switching, because some days I say Brian, some days I say Michael, some days I say Kareem. The fact that you, you got Kareem the fastest way, you got Kareem as like, I mean he, he started. But whatever we get, we can't act like the remake.
Speaker 5:That dude, he's that dude. I do have him in five with.
Speaker 3:He got the most unstoppable shot ever and he got five of them things, so you think he's in the conversation. For I mean, I'm just I think LeBron did a bunch of losing. That ain't even. We can't even go there right. Lebron lost six of them.
Speaker 3:I mean, I'm just, it's all what it is my son, like I said, my son asked me every day and I told him I said hell, yesterday he was like so who is it? Today I said it's Kareem. He said you say Kareem most at every level. He won in high school. He won in college multiple times. I get it. Lebron didn't go to college, it's cool, but Kareem still went there and won because he still had to go to college. And then he got to the league and won.
Speaker 1:And he didn't just win with the Lakers.
Speaker 3:He didn't just win with the Lakers, he also won with Oscar, which I've been with Oscar, I've been with Oscar, I've been with Oscar, I've been with Oscar. It's just a big old yeah. So for me, for today, as I said, I asked you next podcast.
Speaker 3:I'm going with Ray One, I'm going Michael too, I'm going LeBron too. I know Magic too, because Magic also could be in the conversation, but I, I know Magic's full, because Magic also could be in the conversation, but I don't think he he could be in the conversation about all that. To me it's between them three, and in my field I ain't gonna study. I struggle between Steph and Larry, because I think we're gonna look back in three years and be like damn, we got an underrated Steph.
Speaker 1:I think one thing. I think one thing about Larry, his aura especially. You hear people talk about what he did. You see the highlights. There's stories like he went into a game and said man, I think I'm going to use my left today so I can save it for the Lakers tomorrow. That's some dope stuff.
Speaker 3:He told me he would tell the opposing team I'm about to go left and back you down and then shoot and come back on the other side. Told them what he was about to do, Did it?
Speaker 3:And then said I'm going to talk to you when I was going to do it, why you always suck. Look what he said the aura around Larry makes Amo hilarious. Because the aura around Larry, let's be gonna put Larry in the stand. Because the aura around Larry, let's be real. Let's have a space fight too and get it over and over and over again in these fields.
Speaker 1:Speaking of white dudes, I seen in the stat this morning, cooper Flagg will be the first white American born player to be drafted first of all since like 1983. 83? It was Bill Walton, and then it was a player after Bill Walton that was also white, that got drafted Late. Huh, blank, blank's bitch. No it was a what.
Speaker 2:Larry Bird.
Speaker 1:I'm not mad at it. I was going to be a little upset, but now I'm trying to think about that. Or behind Larry, where did he?
Speaker 3:go. He talked to you. He talked to you.
Speaker 1:So what else you got for us? A key, I'm going to do this right.
Speaker 3:Go ahead, we go the top 10 smart forwards in the game right now.
Speaker 1:This is tough nowadays, because power forwards, we small forwards.
Speaker 4:I hate this new school stuff. It's not the same. It's not the same.
Speaker 1:There's no true, are we counting Giannis the small forward? I guess you got a list for us. I do. I got a list counting Giannis a small forward.
Speaker 4:I guess you got a list for us. I do. I got a list for Giannis. That man is a center playing, shooting forward.
Speaker 1:Hell, I was watching the game yesterday, yonkis. He was bringing the ball up court. He was a point guard. I'm like golly.
Speaker 4:He is the laziest best.
Speaker 1:He's not lazy. He's not lazy, that's just how he moves.
Speaker 4:That's just how he moves. That's just lazy bone.
Speaker 1:That's just how he moves, I promise you he could go faster than that, I promise you I promise you, okay, it's not full effort he can't. That's how he is that's not full effort that's how he is the joker, jim.
Speaker 4:Think about it, think about it think about this comparison if step Steph can turn it on and off at a light switch, you don't think Jokic can.
Speaker 1:He do, but he just moves a half a step. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. In fact, the man dropping 40. I don't care how fast you move if you dropping 40.
Speaker 4:Were he at half speed, he could be dropping 70 at full speed.
Speaker 5:That's his full speed.
Speaker 1:That's what we need to be talking about. Oh yeah, when we were talking about it yesterday with the pod yesterday. Wnba tonight's the first night. The Valkyrie they play at 10, it's their first game. Shout out to the Golden State Valkyries you only get one time for a first impression, first game. Please win it. It'd be nice if y'all did it, yeah.
Speaker 3:All right, y'all want to start guessing names? Let's see y'all down the list.
Speaker 1:Oh, so we've got guess names. I'm just going to go with LeBron as owner Number two.
Speaker 3:Tate, tate, tate's four. Kd's one. Is he scoring the record? Kd's one.
Speaker 1:One, y'all got one, two, four. Do they count y'all as a small four? That's my question.
Speaker 3:No, Kawhi Number four. So y'all got one, two, three and four.
Speaker 1:We got the first four.
Speaker 5:Easy.
Speaker 3:Bridges. Bridges is 12. Brown, he's number nine, so they ain't ain't top 10. Bridges is 12. Brown. Jalen Brown, he's number nine, so they ain't got to be 10, 8, and 7. All six and five Dope, my boy. Y'all got one through four. Y'all got 10. Y'all got seven through four. Current small four. Current small four. Okay, I'm going to give you a hint on this one Paul Paul Goodwin. No, they got him as a small forward. One of these dudes. He really likes point guard, but they got him as a small forward. Luka Luka. Nah, he's a point guard. I don't get it. He is not a small forward, his size is a small forward Luka when he first came to the league.
Speaker 5:Small forward Luka when he first came to the league was a small school.
Speaker 4:Luka now, michael Carter Williams is really Luka before Luka Porter. Michael Porter, no, he's talking about the only, as far as side, I'm not sure if he's on the list no but he has five sides.
Speaker 3:You're right, he's one of them. Top one boys. One of these dudes is actually a shooting guard to me too, eric Gordon yeah, I don't know he's a.
Speaker 1:I can't remember the crowd from the program.
Speaker 3:Current shooting guard. This team's still in the playoffs. Current shooting guard. Oh yeah, but they got a list. That's small forward. James Williams.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:You just seen his commercial not too long ago, and, and, and man he is not.
Speaker 1:No he is not. No, nah, that is a shooting guard.
Speaker 4:I will say point guard before I ever say shooting guard. He is a shooting guard.
Speaker 1:He is not no small four. That is Absolutely not.
Speaker 3:So y'all missing five and eight and ten.
Speaker 1:Uh, God man.
Speaker 4:Ten, y'all not good what they gonna say, melo at this point.
Speaker 1:No, melo Kirk.
Speaker 3:Kirk, Kirk I love Melo. Oh yeah, love Melo. Uh ten, I know y'all by Jimmy. Yes, I miss him.
Speaker 1:I just didn't get it.
Speaker 3:Ooh, draymond, no Jesus, yeah, I miss the Fab. And Tia, mmm, that's hard. The Fab got Facebook. Fab got what the Fab got Facebook. Oh, his turn.
Speaker 5:No, his turn. Oh uh, paul George, yup, he's following Is it Wait?
Speaker 3:can I get a point?
Speaker 1:for it Good.
Speaker 3:Uh, you got Paul George. In fact, he has his team Team. He's actually a small forward, is he good? Yeah, he's good. I think he should be in the top 10. Now, he's probably the team leader or 9.
Speaker 1:But he should be in the top 10. He's not telling a bit of a secret? No, no, no, top 100? If that he ain't even top 100. But uh, he got traded this year he got traded this year. He got traded this year.
Speaker 3:He got traded this year from the South to the North. We don't get about what he's in the North.
Speaker 1:Rj Beard no, he went from the South to the North.
Speaker 3:Scott.
Speaker 1:No, he was already at Scotty Barnes when I was there. He's in the Toronto. You got it. It's the team he got traded from the South to the North.
Speaker 3:He's in Toronto. You got it. It's the team he got traded from the south to the north and he's on that list.
Speaker 5:Uh huh, I'm trying to remember who they traded for it was they get a trade.
Speaker 3:It got overshadowed because Luka got traded but there was another dude that got traded. It's not his first rodeo getting traded either. The real one. No, I don't know overshadowed because Luka got traded but there was another dude that got traded.
Speaker 1:It's not his first rodeo game traded, either the real one, no, he's a. He's a big guy.
Speaker 3:He went from the south to the north, so he used to play in the south and his first team was at West.
Speaker 5:And he needed to be on this list. Yeah, oh, what the dude wake up boy dude.
Speaker 1:Oh no, he didn't get Zion Williams, so he didn't get traded. He got dude, yeah, I'm sure he's Zion Williams.
Speaker 4:So what the dude? Nah, nah, I know Zion. Oh you talking about him. Yeah, yeah, he's Zion, probably should he's right here.
Speaker 1:I know Zion. Oh you talking about him. Yeah, yeah, yeah, look he. So Zion probably should be a trade. I'm trying to think who's on the ride. I know friends like Scottie Barnes. That's all I know on the ride tonight.
Speaker 5:RJ Barrett. They got a team full of small corers, though, man, because I remember they traded for oh you talking.
Speaker 3:yeah, he went to Duke, I ain't sure, if he did he, because I remember they traded for 2015. We've been a little bit, even like 10 years, from the South to tomorrow. Partner. If you do stop, yeah, they start. His first team was out west. He got shipped out with a brown one to play with a bunch of Oaklanders. Oh, andrew Wiggins, it's Al West, a little brother of Al West. So he got. Oh, he's one of the rappers now.
Speaker 4:I ain't got anyone. He's dope Top 10? He's solid.
Speaker 3:He's a top. They got Jimmy Butler and Anthony Davis and Luke Fahey. These dudes ain't small folks. Who's top 10 is this Super coordinator? I, he's new baby, it's my fault. Who's top?
Speaker 1:10. Is this Zoot coordinator? I can see it. He's a star. He wanted out of you. That's perplexity, man. He wanted out of me. I knew it was the star. Zion Lewis was the star. He wanted to be more of a star. I can see him being 10. Would I have put him 10?
Speaker 3:Probably not.
Speaker 1:But he would have put him in the top 15. I don't know if I would have said 10. We forgot about him. I forgot about him. But again, please like, please subscribe. We got merch.
