The Indiana Pacers take a commanding 3-1 series lead over the New York Knicks in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals with a 130-121 victory, putting them one win away from their first NBA Finals appearance since 2000. Tyrese Halliburton delivers a historic triple-double performance with 32 points, 12 rebounds, 15 assists, and zero turnovers, silencing critics who labeled him overrated.

• Halliburton now leads the Pacers franchise in playoff triple-doubles with two
• Bennedict Mathurin contributes 20 points off the bench in his best playoff performance
• Rebounding remains a concern for Indiana with only Halliburton grabbing more than five boards
• Halliburton's father returns to watch the game from a suite after previous courtside incident
• Oklahoma City Thunder also take a 3-1 lead in Western Conference Finals with 128-126 win over Minnesota
• Anthony Edwards appears fatigued while Julius Randle disappoints with only 5 points
• All hosts predict Thunder will finish series in Game 5
• Eastern Conference predictions: Pacers in 5, Pacers in 6, or "Knicks in 7" according to our Knicks fan

Speaker 1:

welcome, welcome, welcome back to another episode of. From my perspective, I'm your boy dion, coming to you as we give our perspective of what we just saw in game four of the eastern conference finals against the new york knicks, against the Indiana Pacers. Another good game, another, and we was treated by a master class from Tyrese Halliburton. But we will get to it Again. I'm your boy, deion. Thank you for joining us. Please like, please subscribe, leave a comment. Hey, we live on Facebook. Put something in the comments, talk to us, let us know something. But you know, know, I'm joined by the man, the myth, the legend, captain Hayden himself. He got the Indiana Pacers hat on how you doing, captain Hayden.

Speaker 2:

What's going on y'all? I'm sure I'm thinking it's my part. What's up, y'all?

Speaker 1:

So got my man, the resident New York Knicks fan Quag. He is also in the building. Before I ask you about your Knicks, I want to ask you how you are doing Quag.

Speaker 3:

I'm cool man. I know that boy, David Stern, turning over and he's great.

Speaker 1:

All right, so let's go ahead and get right into it. The Indiana Pacers beat the New York Knicks in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. As they take a 3-1 game lead, as they are now one game away from going back to the NBA Finals since 2002. Since 2000,. Correction, I don't think about 2002 Finals since 2002. Since 2000,. Correction, I don't think about 2002, but since 2000. I got to ask you, quag, first. I'm going to go ahead and ask you how do you feel how this game went? And last episode you was getting on your soapbox about Tibbs. Score was 130 to 121, but last episode he was going to your soapbox about Tibbs and he might need to get fired. Are you still on that soapbox?

Speaker 3:

No, I'm off of that because he started coaching. After that he started pulling off his bench. I mean, I did hear him during the timeout. He was, you know, popping some little bullshit, talking about some run, run, run, run, run. Nigga, coach, coach, coach, coach, coach. What is you doing? But besides that, you know I mean you know what you're going to get from Tibbs. So if it results in more 50-win seasons, I guess you know I'd be okay with it. He can stay until it's time for him to go.

Speaker 1:

Okay. So what's your thoughts on this game as a whole? I know this felt like a must-win game Well, not a must-win game I don't like must-win games but it felt like a like Q always says you better win type of game.

Speaker 3:

No, it most definitely was.

Speaker 1:

You don't want to go down 3-1. It's been done before. Obviously, the Golden State Warriors has done it before and obviously the Cleveland Cavaliers has done it famously before, but it's a tall hill to climb.

Speaker 3:

How are you feeling? I'm feeling like Josh Hart when he turned his headband upside down. The script is in.

Speaker 1:

So not very good. So let's go ahead and go to Q, the resident Indiana Pacers fan. But before we get his thoughts, I do want to talk about the stats a little bit. In this game, we have to no longer call Tyrese Halliburton overrated. That tag needs to be erased from his name. The man put up a master class. I tweeted on Twitter. This is the type of game that 2K is going to make you play, if they ever bring back the my Moments mode.

Speaker 1:

The man effed around and got a triple-double like Ice Cube 32 points, 12 rebounds, 15 assists with zero turnovers Again zero turnovers, again zero turnovers with a triple-double. So that doesn't come around often. Also, I saw on the broadcast he is now the franchise leader, the Indianapolis franchise leader in playoff triple-doubles with two. Everybody else Victor Oladipo had one, paul George had one, but now he's triple doubles with two. Everybody else Victor Oladipo had one, paul George had one, but now he's the leader with two. I mean, he's the leader by one and he only has two. But hey, you're the leader of a franchise that's been around for a pretty long time and has had some great players like Reggie Miller, paul George so it is something to behold. Obviously, danny Granger, he was there, so it is something to behold. Obviously, danny Granger, he was there. So I just want to give a big shout-out to Tyrese Halliburton for treating us with a master class performance triple-double, zero turnovers. But I'm going to hand it over to the resident Indiana Pacer fans for his thoughts of game four.

Speaker 2:

Well, you know I have a lot of thoughts. I have a lot of thoughts. It feels good to win. Let me start off with that. It does feel good to win. Tyrese did ball out.

Speaker 2:

I want to give Matherin some credit, Because Matherin came off the bench with 20 points and, let's be real, these first three games well, I ain't going to lie this whole playoffs and I've been looking around like, all right, so in the offseason, what are we doing with him? Like you know what I mean. What's the move? We getting him for, we getting a draft pick for him, we bringing in somebody else, Because, yeah, in the season he bowled out, but in the playoffs, brother, they kind of like he just hurt, he just hey, but he's just getting exercise. That hurt this game.

Speaker 2:

He actually balled out and I won't give him his credit for that. He put up 20 points. He also did some rebounds, kept some plays alive, attempted to play some defense on Brunson, which is nobody apparently nobody on this team can guard Brunson but Neesmith. And Neesmith ain't acting like he's doing an excellent job either. He's just slowing them down, making them work for it, you know, but nah, so I'm going to get mad at his credit. Siakam had a good game. Miles Turner was a five-and-a-half from the field, so it was a good game. So can I get off my negative shit now, or you want to add some more? Go ahead.

Speaker 1:

I want all the positive stuff. Y'all are 3-1.

Speaker 2:

I want the positive, because positive stuff is cool. I mean I'll ask Masia, let's get to the negative stuff. Yes, halliburton had 12 rebounds, nobody else had more than five.

Speaker 1:

Nobody else had more than five. That is crazy.

Speaker 2:

Somebody got to rebound the ball Turner.

Speaker 1:

Siakam, siakam at the five.

Speaker 2:

You got to rebound the ball, obie, like somebody has to rebound the ball as much as like yo, it feels good. So being up 3-1 against Cleveland felt a lot better than being up 3-1 against.

Speaker 1:

New York, see, because every game was pretty much close. That's what it is.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and the Knicks? I got to give them their credit. They're going to fight to the end. Hell, towns is out here limping playing the last three minutes, which I don't understand why they didn't put Robinson in that last three minutes because Towns was clearly limping, but they kept Towns in. You got to give them, new York, their credit. They're going to fight and they're going to dog. And it doesn't feel as like when we was up 3-1 in Cleveland. It's like we're going to win this. It's over. It's a ball game. It's started. Wrap this up 1-2-3. Cancun for the Cavaliers. It don't feel that way in New York, but the confidence ain't up. You know what I mean. It's not cockiness.

Speaker 1:

On a scale of 1 to 10, what's your confidence? Six, okay. I'm a seven for the Pacers. I'm confident that the Pacers can. They will finish it out no later than six. I think they have a good chance to finish it out in New York, but if they don't, they come back to Indianapolis. I think they have a good chance to finish it out in New York, but if they don't, they come back to Indianapolis. I think they will finish it out. I don't think it will go to six.

Speaker 2:

You better finish it out at six. You don't want to go back to New York in seven. And they just won the two previous games. No, no, no, you don't want to do that. Indiana has to close it out tonight, I mean, but either in game five or game six. Don't play with your food. I'll wrap that up.

Speaker 1:

Yep, don't play with your food. Want to give a shout-out to Tyrese Halliburton's pop. He got put on parole. He's back in the building. They didn't let him get courtside, but they let him get on the suite. So, hey, he's paroled right now and his first game back, his baby boy put on a mask class. So hey, that's probably why he put on a mask class. Pops is back in the building.

Speaker 2:

I'm saying he still should be courtside, and that's me speaking as a basis fan. You can't be getting in the Greek freak's face doing all that and then thinking it's all right, we're just going to sweep it under the rug. Honestly, not bad.

Speaker 1:

He shouldn't. I'd be surprised if they let that man back on the court side until next season.

Speaker 2:

He shouldn't be. He shouldn't even be in the building. He's in the building, though, if Marcus is going to be like that, with him in the building man.

Speaker 1:

He come to every game. If I'm the owner, you can sit next to me in the owner's suite, Y'all two.

Speaker 2:

tell me if I'm lying. What he did? Should he be allowed in any building for the rest of the playoffs?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I wouldn't let him in until next season, but I think they're doing the quote-unquote right thing, seeing as how the script is already out, are you?

Speaker 2:

in this script Burr Cuttedale, I'm saying Burr Cuttedale.

Speaker 3:

The matchup was there. The matchup was there Minnesota, new York. They swapped players. Both these teams supposed to be in the finals Supposed to be. The script is in. Both these teams supposed to be in the finals Supposed to be. The script is in. Both these teams won't be in the finals. Like I said, david Stern over here turned over his grade.

Speaker 2:

Now David Stern's happy because you're going to get two teams that ain't never won a championship in the finals. That's what he want more than anything, so he can say the clarity.

Speaker 1:

Going to get a first-time champion if these two teams that lead that respect the series hold on long enough. So since we mentioned that series, let's go ahead and talk about the Western Conference Finals. Okay, we got to, we got to. Okay, see, it also takes a 3-1 lead over the Minnesota Timberwolves and it was an odd game, like it was somewhat of a. It was pretty much a close game. The score was 128 to 126. It was pretty much a close game throughout the whole game, but I never. The whole time I'm watching I never felt like Minnesota had a chance, partly because it seemed like Ant-Man didn't really show up, julius Randle, he was on the milk carton, like it was. It was some. It was the others that were showing up for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Speaker 3:

D. I don't know about that man. I saw a clip where he had three rebounds in the same position.

Speaker 2:

All right, but look at that man.

Speaker 1:

I saw him.

Speaker 1:

So in other words, we got a phone call of a tip about his whereabouts, but he's still on the milk carton. He's still on the milk carton. We just got a tip about his whereabouts, that's it. We appreciate the tip with the three boys, but yeah, the whole time I'm watching like OKC got this. I mean it ended up being literally just a two-point game win. But OKC won. Minnesota didn't look good, ant-man. He just ain't been dominant. Obviously, in game three he showed out with 30 points. Didn't even have to play the fourth quarter. This game looks like he was just lax today because he wasn't really focused. It seemed like he didn't take a lot of shots. Man, you got to go down swinging. You should know that better than anybody else. Next game it should be your mission to take at least 30 shots, because that team has no chance if you are not going to be aggressive. But I'm going to start with you. Q. What was your thoughts on the Western Conference Finals game four?

Speaker 2:

I mean, since you're going to make me talk about it, let's give credit to the Minnesota's bench. Let me not call them a bench because I'm going to start the others, the others, yep, the others. Mcdaniels had 22. Neal Alex, shea's cousin.

Speaker 1:

Shea's cousin.

Speaker 2:

Shea's cousin. I had to. I'm saying Shay's cousin, shay's cousin, I ain't going to go through the whole deal. Alexandra, yeah, nah, shay's cousin had 23. White Dante, dante DiVincenzo, had 21. Nas Reed had 11. These dudes he had. Gobert had 13. That's why they was in the game, because all the others scored double digits. Anthony Edwards had 16. Conley had 6. But Anthony Edwards had 16. You know who only had 5 points.

Speaker 1:

That man on the milk carton? It's no one. The second best player.

Speaker 2:

You look, you can't have 5 points in a you better win game and you're the second best player. Like I said, them two dudes got traded for each other. One of them dudes is actually balling in his conference. Give him his credit. He had her limit. Give Tails his credit. The person that he got traded for put up five points in a you better win game Ever since he put up that 20 points in that first half. You ain't seen bro since. And they say Randall has like he has a history of moving around put up that 20 points in that first half. You ain't seen bro since. And they say Randall has, like he has, a history of moving around. I don't, you know, he ain't not playing on none of my teams, so I don't know how close, how true that is, but it looks like.

Speaker 3:

It's true, okay, it's true Like he is the puppy doll face. And then you look at his son and his son be having the puppy doll face too. I hate to bring the kid into it, but then they be making the face at each other on the court. So they.

Speaker 2:

Let's call it a space break, because this series feels old. Y'all are telling me if I'm wrong, but this series feels old.

Speaker 1:

It felt old after two, but they showed us something in game three.

Speaker 2:

So it made you think like, okay, cool, minnesota was going to be able to swing it. Hell, like I said, minnesota played good, others played good at home, but if you got Randall playing five and then Anthony Edwards, anthony Edwards, he only had 16, but I feel like I want to give him a pass because if you watch him at the end of that first quarter, what's he doing? The girl is like I'm tired. Hey, coach, somebody else got to do something.

Speaker 1:

You think I mean I can't say he blew his gasket in game three, because I mean you do get a game break. You didn't play the fourth quarter, you played three quarters in game 30.

Speaker 2:

I don't think that's it, but that first quarter in game four did him in.

Speaker 1:

I mean yeah.

Speaker 2:

It just did him in and he didn't feel like he had his legs after that, Because Anthony Edwards is bouncing. It's like you said, it's a two-point game. Hell, if Randall Dunne didn't even give you the five points, if Anthony Edwards is not exhausted because he played 41 minutes, if Anthony Edwards is not exhausted by the end of that game, Minnesota wins that game, Even with the Randall giving you five points. So shout out to the others, Even though Minnesota lost the game. Shout out to the others. But now you're going on the road. Do you expect all those others to continue to ball again? Because I don't.

Speaker 1:

I don't either, quag, what's your thoughts on the Western Conference game four?

Speaker 3:

I do think it's over. I honestly didn't know that. You know, minnesota had the chance to tie. I thought it was already 3-0. I hit Minnesota had the chance to tie. I thought it was already 3-0.

Speaker 1:

You feel me no.

Speaker 3:

I hit Q last night. I saw Anthony Edwards walking out of the tunnel and I said this is Jordan versus the Pistons. He did say that this is Jordan versus the Pistons. We know how this is going to go. The Pistons are going to come, the Thunder I'm sorry, the Thunder going to come. They're going to win them two titles. Boom, boom back to back. We just look Ant-Man right now he rolling with Dennis Rodman. I'm not Dennis Rodman, Excuse me, Horace Grant. Yeah, James Edwards, you know what I'm saying. Like he ain't got the cash right now, Wait until you get him a Scottie.

Speaker 2:

You don't think Julius Randle is his Scottie? I don't think. Yeah, you don't think Julius Randle is nobody's Scottie. What are you talking about? You're asking.

Speaker 3:

He's the second best player.

Speaker 1:

He really ain't even his horse.

Speaker 3:

Grant for real, we don't keep it a name.

Speaker 1:

He's the second best player man. I just had to ask Okay, now wait a minute.

Speaker 2:

Craig, you went too far. You're on the East-Horse-Grant level Come on. Then Horace Grant played on championship team All right, bro, I'm saying Horace Grant was the third, though.

Speaker 3:

I'm saying Gobert's still the second on that team. We got to keep it real.

Speaker 2:

Man, come on, stop it. Gobert, though, you can't even play him half the damn time, because the team's just going to kill him on offense Because he can't get on offense.

Speaker 1:

No, he had one, five when he's out there on offense offense. He had one five when he's out there on offense.

Speaker 2:

He had one good game versus the Lakers because they ain't got nobody taller than LeBron, so it was easy for him to file that first deal.

Speaker 3:

I think it's Raps, though I think it's over with. Damn, I think, so I'm going to let Julius Randle, you know, go into a time machine and can never and look un-te Ontario's ACL and all that kind of stuff. Yeah, no, it's raps.

Speaker 1:

I'm assuming both you guys think, when they go back to OKC for game five, that they're going to send them on to Cancun.

Speaker 3:

Them bodies, man. They got too many bodies.

Speaker 2:

It might be a blowout. It might be a blowout.

Speaker 1:

All right. So we all got OKC in five. Let's go back to this Eastern Conference Finals. I think I switched it to Pacers in five. I'm going to stick with that DQ. You going to stick with Knicks in seven.

Speaker 3:

The script is in man Knicks in seven, Knicks in seven.

Speaker 1:

Q Pacers in six. Pacers in six.

Speaker 2:

I'm still sticking Paises and 6.

Speaker 1:

Paises and 6.

Speaker 2:

I'm still sticking with the Paises and 6. Because New York is going to fight. That crowd is going to be crazy. That crowd is going to be crazy.

Speaker 3:

They finna cheat their asses off.

Speaker 2:

Hell, it was a bunch of New York Knicks fans. Of course they got Ben Stiller, Spike Lee, that other dude that was sitting next to Ben Stiller- the actor Charlamagne. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, thank you.

Speaker 3:

That's White Tim, white Tim. Yeah yeah, yeah, his name's Timothy, but he a Tim, okay.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so we need to work on that too. If it goes back to game six, we don't need a bunch of New York Knicks fans sitting courtside it definitely can't be the case.

Speaker 1:

But nah, what the Pacers need to do in this next game if they get out to a big lead. I think this is the game that, if the Pacers get out to a 20, 25 point lead, there's a good chance the Knicks might phone it in and go ahead and start playing that Cancun trip.

Speaker 3:

Phone it in.

Speaker 1:

If they start getting blown out.

Speaker 3:

I heard you, but you haven't seen. We go down by 20, that's when we play our best.

Speaker 2:

You already seen in this series that New York hell, that New York Indiana as well, that, nah, I ain't never scared. They going to. Even if it's a 25-point lead, they still going to claw, they going to fight their way back. That I have faith in in New York. That they not going to mail it in Because they got dudes over there. That's not going to mail it in. Hard ain't going. That's not going, Melody, Hard ain't going to let you Melody.

Speaker 2:

Hard ain't going to let you. Melody Brunson is not Melody-ing OG and Obi does not give Melody-ing vibes, like you got some pale dudes from McBride that don't give Melody-ing vibes. Hey, robinson, now Towns, now Towns, now Towns, I don't.

Speaker 3:

And back, hey Ron was in the town, the town, the town. I don't know about mailing in, but hey, they kept showing his slow motions and I was just back here mouthing for him. I'm going left.

Speaker 2:

Towns, towns. He might hit you with a one, two, three. He might not say he can't go, but he might hit you with a one, two, three. He might not say the can't go, but he might hit you with a one, two, three. You know what? I mean, but the rest of them dudes.

Speaker 1:

One more shout-out I want to give is the Indiana Pacers defense, especially Nesmith and they. He's been Jalen Brunson has been getting his, but he's going to get his. He's going to get all the foul calls but they've contained him well enough, especially in crunch times, for him not to kill the Pacers. He's still getting his 30 points, but he's not looking like the Jalen Brunson of old, especially in crunch time for some reason. So I got to give the Pacers great credit for slowing down Jalen Brunson, especially when it matters the most. Might be part of it might be Jalen Brunson might be a little bit worn down legs might be tired, but give credit where credit is due. Basically, y'all been doing a pretty good job holding down Jalen Brunson, the clutch player of the year. But that'll do it for another episode of From my Perspective. Please like, please subscribe, please hit that link in the bottom to get you some merch DQ. You got anything to say before we get out of here.

Speaker 3:

Kalen Clark, we'll holler at you in a couple weeks.

Speaker 2:

All right, bro, chill, chill, chill. She's hurt. Chill, I'm saying, but chill, because the negativity about this man is unnecessary. Why you trying to kick a woman while she's down she injured. I don't understand why her name was brought up. To be honest with you, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3:

We talking about Indiana. Yeah, bro, she ain't. Come on, bro, you get the animals man.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, bro, chill. She injured, she hurt, she gonna be back, she fooling around, ain't winning MVP.

Speaker 3:

She ain't wanna see Paige, that's it.

Speaker 1:

Alright. Well, again, I'm your boy, Dion. Thank you again for joining us. Stop it Q, go ahead and take us home.

Speaker 2:

Man, you already know the vibes. It's your boy. Mr Bill, aka say your name up on the spot. Might not put you to mock K-McClurgis. Mr Bill, aka say your name up on the spot. Might not put you in the mug. Katelyn Clark is no good, Katelyn. Don't pay his buckets, bro. Kill it, Chill it.
