Welcome, welcome, welcome back to another episode of From Our Perspective. I'm your boy Dion coming back to you with another episode. Uh, we greatly appreciate you coming and listening to us once again. While you're at it, please like, please subscribe, and go ahead and leave your early comment. We know I'm never we just getting started. Go ahead and leave something down there to let us know that you are rocking with it still. But you know, I am joined again by the man, the myth, the legend himself, Captain Hater. Q, how you doing on this fine day?
SPEAKER_01:Well, what it do, what it is. You're another massive show. Boy, Mr. Bell, aka Say Your Name up on the spy. Might not with you to mile. What's going on, Dion? You say that, and I was going through my drawers yesterday. I actually got a shirt. This is the man the miss. Need a word more, man. I pulled out. I said, hey, I really got a shirt to see this. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_00:What's going on, Dion? Hey ladies, much uh, I had a pretty good weekend, though. Watch some crown jewel. So before we dive right into what we did our predictions, a couple things here. First off, you did win, you know, 17 to 14 in the conference purchase position. So congratulations to you. Would you like to do a victory lap?
SPEAKER_01:Truthful, no, because I don't I don't even remember who I picked. I'm not even gonna lie. I was sitting there watching it like, damn, who did I, who did I even I don't after every uh I don't even remember, I only one I remember was Stephanie. That's it. The rest of them was like, I said you put the five on them.
SPEAKER_00:Understandable, understandable. But my second question, so Russell Pelluda, the first PLE on ESPN, got a C. This PLE crowned jewel in Australia. It got a B plus. I think he's got B from Andreas Hell from ESPN. What grade do you give it?
SPEAKER_01:Part of me won't say A minus.
SPEAKER_00:But I'm gonna go with a B plus. Go ahead and retweet that, man, because that's how I feel. It was a B plus. It was much better than WrestlePalooza. Oh, 10 times better.
SPEAKER_01:It makes me won't give it more give WrestlePalooza a D at this point. Makes me wanna go back and change the grade.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, because it excellent wrestling. Storyline was a little um because let's be honest, some of these matches were thrown together because you know you got the crown jewel titles, kind of gotta throw their match together. You got uh Cena's retirement match, even though they threw it together, they had they had some story elements in it. Uh Rhea and the tag match, that had a lot of story, and Roman and Braun that had some stories, but Total the wrestling was excellent from top to bottom. There was only one iffy match, and that's from our perspective, I think it's just because they didn't really have a story. Every other match was a B B plus a better from my perspective. Um, what was you what was your favorite match?
SPEAKER_01:I know that sounds like you know, cliché to say, but it to me it was the best match. They, you know, paying homage to all the finishers, the uh uh when John when John Cena did the uh sister Abigail, then you seen all the uh the fly the five flights or whatever come out. Um it was dope. They like you said, it wasn't no storyline because John Cena wasn't there, but it was the TNA versus versus the the TNA all-star versus the WWE all-star. And it's crazy they doing that on NXT at this at that around the same time, and then the introduction that John Cena had her read off for AJ Styles, and you can see you can see AJ Styles was like, oh, he was like welcome, he was surprised. It was a welcome surprise for him. So yeah, nah, just the in totally total, yeah. That match was the best. Uh don't get me wrong, like the uh Kabuki Warriors versus Rhea EO, you know what they was gonna do. They was gonna all of them is great workers, they was gonna put on a good match.
SPEAKER_00:So yeah, so uh let's go ahead and go through it. It started out with Roman and Brian. It was in a struggle in Street Fight. It wasn't as destructive or car wreck of like normal street fight. They, you know, did some simple stuff, had some fun with it. Uh see Braun Breaker came out. We'll talk about him more in a little bit. The Usos came out, but Bronson Reed, he pinned Roman Reigns like we predicted. He got him a win on his homeland, made him look strong, sent Roman Reigns away for a little bit. I'm sure he'll come back before um Survivor Series. Then after that, it was the Tiffany uh Tiffany Straton, Stephanie Valkyrie match. To me, the worst match on the card. Not because what they did on the ring, it was cool what they did in the ring. I just I just really wasn't invested in it. Nothing against them two ladies. Both of them excellent. I wasn't invested in it. Uh, you had the the tag, the tag match, real ripley and uh Eoscow versus Asuka and uh uh Kyrie Sane. Excellent match. I'm enjoying the storyline. Obviously, I'm just gonna say now that the moment Kyrie Sane get her get back on Asuka, the roof is gonna blow off of whatever building they in. So I'm looking forward to that. We just talked about the AJ Styles John Cena match, excellent match, A plus match. It's crazy that these two are uh retiring soon, but at least John Cena's going out with some good matches. And then you have the Crown Jewel, Seth Rollins versus Cody Rose. Pretty good match, had a had an excellent story behind it, considering Cody Rose is like 4-0 or 3-0 against Seth Rollins since he came back. Uh Seth Rollins had some nice stuff on his tice that you know paid homage to those matches. But Seth Rollins got his get back. He still got some work to do if he wants to win the series because he's down 3-1, but he got his get back. But who knows when he'll ever get a get back again because it looks like he got hurt in this match. And it looks like it's for real. So that was Crown Jewel, like I said, like we said, great show, great matches. But we gotta kind of slide to the biggest story of the WWE at the moment. That's on Monday night. They're saying Seth Rollins is hurt, and division broke up. Braun Breaker spared the mess out of Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed game with tsunami. Looks like they're writing Seth Rollins off with a shoulder injury. Looks like it's legit, unlike last time. And people was reporting that Bron Breaker wasn't supposed to break off with division until next year. That's obviously not the case no more. Well, how are you feeling about Braun Breaker finally going off on his own? Because that was a shot.
SPEAKER_01:Storyline, stuff, stuff like that make wrestling what it is. He got in his face and said, make a choice. You can either go with me or you can go with or you can end up like yeah, you hold me in the look back. And then Heyman sold it so well because Heyman's like, what just what the best? So besides the John Cena match, that's the second best thing that came out of the weekend was the turn. And it was unexpected, it came out of nowhere. You can see that Seth Rollins kind of hurt himself, he had a stinger or whatnot in the match with Cody, but you didn't know it was going to be, you couldn't tell it was this, right? Like some people saying he had like a rotator cuff, like he might have to have surgery, he's gonna be out for a minute. So for him to, well, one for if that's the case, Seth Rollins went and took that bump, but finished the match and then came out on Monday and took that bump. Seth Rollins is a G.
SPEAKER_00:I want to say this. He low-key needed, not saying he needed to get hurt, but the fact that Cody Rose beating with a torn uh peck, it it kind of makes that a little bit better. He so he got his get back with one arm.
SPEAKER_01:He got his get back with one arm, but yeah, no, I'm saying he, you know what I'm saying he actually finished that match. That's dope. But uh I'm it was a welcome surprise, man. The vision turned, but I want to see, so I want to see what they do with war games now because you would you thought it was gonna be the vision and then Brock Lesnar, and then they it was rumors on Austin Theory that he was gonna be the fifth member. You know what I'm saying? Whatever rumors you hear or whatnot. But now it's like, okay, cool. Seth Rollins clearly ain't gonna be there. So who's these other members of this team and how do they play it? Do they add more people to the vision? Do they do Austin is Austin Theory still part of the vision? Do end up a part of the vision. Is uh Brock Lesnar gonna be it's kind of hard for Brock Lesnar to be a part of the vision when he ain't really there.
SPEAKER_00:He can be like, you know, I come in and help y'all out, but I'm gonna go back, I'm gonna go back to my farm after this.
SPEAKER_01:But then it's also because they had that they got that Saturday night's main event coming up, and CM Punk became the number one contender. Who's gonna hold the title? Yeah, who's uh we still gonna have that match? And then that's when Seth Rollins drops drops it, or because I don't know the way it's looking, I think he might have to vacate it.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Oh no. I don't know. So I and you know, Braun, Braun Breaker, he held the title up. Do you think it's too soon to give it to Braun Breaker? Because I don't see them giving it to CM Punk on a you know little Saturday night's main event, which I mean they could, but you think they're gonna give it to Braun Breaker this early? Usually they like to crown these young guys at a major pay-per-view, you know, Royal Rumble, WrestleMania SummerSlam. I don't know if they want to crown him at a Saturday night's main event. I don't know if they want to have CM Punk get his title back at a Saturday night's main event. So I don't know how they're gonna do it. I have an idea, but I'm interested to see what WMB does.
SPEAKER_01:Well, I wouldn't mind a Saturday, because once CM Punk get his title back, the arena is gonna pop wherever you at. So CM Punk winning it at a Saturday night's main event is like to me, that would be cool. Brian Barker, like you said, it would be his first one. I don't know if you want to do that at a Saturday night's main event, but that also does give more grassatops to a Saturday night's main event. So it might it might make, you know what I'm saying, Peacock keep Peacock paying all this money for some. Yeah, I could give us a world title change over, you know what I mean? But yeah, no, but it is uh I want to get your thoughts on I won't get your thoughts on this. Um Ross and Reed. Would it make sense for him to go after the uh is it the United States title? Um it's the in the comments.
SPEAKER_00:In the comments of the title, it would make sense if they gonna push it. I think they got plans for the interconnected title. I think Dom was gonna hold it for a while. I mean, there's there's I mean speaking of war games, there was rumors that John Cena won't be in the war games match, but he'll be fighting Dom Mysterio for the IC title. So, I mean that's uh that's uh another one, but it it would make sense. I think he should, unless they bring in somebody else for division, then they go out of the tag tag titles need to shake up for real, because I don't know what you're doing game, but I don't know. I uh it should, it's something like you got all this mo you just pin Roman Reigns. You got all this momentum, you gotta you're right.
SPEAKER_01:It's gotta be some it's gotta be some type of payoff. But I was wondering, okay, what do you do with Bronson Reed now if you press Braun Burke to the world title pitcher?
SPEAKER_00:Because you because you can both of them, they was kind of henchman level type things. They're they're not henchman level, but you can't make Bronson Reed hit uh Braun Breaker's henchman. You gotta make them equal, which obviously once they're gonna eventually have to feud at some point because those two big guys, obviously, the two future stars, they're gonna have to feud eventually, but you can't make one seem less than the other.
SPEAKER_01:No, you can't, but that's why I was wondering. But the you're right, the tag team titles, man. What are we doing? Can we why do we put them back on just why do we put the tag team titles back on Judgment Day? For judgment day to not defend them tag team titles. I know they got a match coming up with AJ, uh AJ Styles and uh Dragon League, but that's what the first one since when July? At least three months. Oh why do they get why do they got the titles, man? I don't know.
SPEAKER_00:But before we move on to the uh next topic in hand, walk with me on this one. Not it's not CM Punk, not Braun breaking, not Bronson Reed, not Jay Uso. But how would you feel if LA Knight gets the title at Saturday night's main event? For one thing, I will say I'm tired of these super long reigns. We need some you know, two, three month raids. I would not mind LA Knight getting it, holding it to about Royal Rumble. He you know, maybe Ron Breaker takes it off from at Royal Rumble or CM Punch takes it off from at Royal Rumble. I would like LA Knight to maybe, I know it'd be his first one, but like I said, the roof is gonna blow off regardless. And LA Knight's not the future. Or, I mean, he's a big time player, he's not the future, but I think you know, giving him a nice little two-month range would elevate him, maybe elevate the title. Because he he deserves a title. Not a new acquire title because he's had the U.S. title. He he deserves a nice title. He should have been had a title run.
SPEAKER_01:He was over, he been over. Been over, but they never pulled the trigger on an LA Knight title, world title run. He should have had a world title run years ago. Last year, earlier this year, he should have had it. So I wouldn't be mad at LA if they decided to go on and put the belt around LA Knight. Because, like you said, he ain't he ain't no spring chicken. If you're gonna give him a championship run or two, you might want to start the clock now. Because the clock is ticking. You know what I mean? We already got, you know, we talked about John Cena retiring, and then uh AJ, uh, I'm sorry, sorry, AJ Lee, AJ Styles is going to be retiring next year. He's on his retirement tour. These wrestlers is gonna start aging out. So this would be the perfect opportunity for LA Knight to go ahead and get his first championship.
SPEAKER_00:Getting one, two, three months, driver, and he can always say he was a world champion. So I I that's my perspective on things, but we will see. I am back interested in WWE. You know, WWE, they know how to get you interested around this time, around War Games times and Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. They all know how to get you back interested. So we will see how they do. But we got to go slide to the WNBA that the NBA Finals first game, first seven-game series, didn't go past five as the Las Vegas Aces swept Phoenix. And I was a little upset, but I wanted a little bit more competitive series. But shout out to the Aces! Shout out to uh Aja Wilson. No, she was the Finals MVP defensive player of the year and MVP. She needs Bam to go ahead and get another extension on that trophy case. So shout out to her, but wasn't wasn't more than a four-game series. How did you feel? No, you weren't too excited about the suite, but hey, shout out to the ACES.
SPEAKER_01:Dion. Why does it feel like the WNBA finals was three weeks ago? It was just last week. Yeah, but it feels like Sunday. Sunday, it felt like it was three weeks ago. That's how much sports is going on right now. That that feels like it was three, feel like it was three weeks ago. I saw them on Good Morning America, uh, Asia Wilson, uh Chelsea Gray and uh Drew Lloyd. I saw them on uh Good Morning America. I saw that uh Jackie Young was at um I think it's Rage Kings or something. She was doing uh, you know, doing promo and all that. That's why I was like, damn, okay, they had her celebrating. They was at the the preseason game between the Lakers and somebody in the Vegas. I'm like, uh yeah. Then uh when you talked about it pre-wide, I was like, damn, that was just this just this past weekend, wasn't it? Um shout out to Dana Evans. She got her another one, you know what I'm saying, L1 C4. But um, I felt when SAT 2 went down in game, like we talked about in game three, it felt like it was over. You tried to, you know what I'm saying, we wanted it to go more. We wanted to at least go five. We didn't want the sweep. We a gentleman's sweep or you know, a woman's sweep or whatnot, a lady sweep, but we didn't get that. Uh, but like I said, when SAT 2 went down, we kind of figured it was over. And then in game four, 18 went down as well. But shout out to the Mercury, they followed. They put they put it they put it in the battle in all three, uh, three of the four games. So, but the aces was more overpowering. They had they got the aces had AJ Wilson, Chelsea Gray, and Jackie Young. And that's before we get to Drew Lloyd and Dana Evans, you know what I'm saying, coming off the bench. They have a roster. You know what I mean? They have a roster.
SPEAKER_00:So, but yeah, no, shout out to the aces. I think we need to also add, man, the aces, they did not look so hot in mid-like what early August, they did not look hot. You're like, man, we're not gonna make it that far. Yeah, and that what a turnaround. So you gotta give a shout out to them for turning around. They're not coach of Becky, and she's one of the ones. She wanted ones. So, but they also uh got another battle in hand, they got the Mia's Rice deal coming up and with a potential of a lockout, which we said uh pre-pod as the worst thing you could want. Not just, I know obviously the players you don't want it because you don't want to lose money, but as a league as a whole, it's the worst time. You do not want any type of lockout, you don't want to lose any momentum that you have gained the past two seasons. So, I how do you see this media rights deal playing out?
SPEAKER_01:Well, the media rights deal is done. It's the CBA. CBA CBA the squidy the players want more money, and they're not wrong for wanting more money. I don't I feel I feel like it's gonna be horrible if they actually do a walkout. And I'm not sure a lot of people believe, I don't know, I I'm interested to get your thoughts on this. A lot of people believe Unrival's just gonna take off if the WNBA goes on a hiatus or whatever the case, or it's a walkout type situation. I'm not 100% sure that's gonna be the case. No, they're not gonna.
SPEAKER_00:I mean, it's three, that'd be the big three of the NBA.
SPEAKER_01:I'm I was gonna say, I'm not, I could be wrong in Unrival. Unrival's doing good. I'm not saying it like that, but I'm saying people act like it's just gonna take off and it's gonna replace the WNBA. I don't, I don't foresee that being the case. I'm not even sure it's gonna get a rates boost of what it was already, besides the typical, you know, growth or whatnot, or whatnot. But I think they I think both sides have to be realistic in the CBA negotiations. The WNBA has to realize these players they need to get paid more, and it needs to be some type of changes in the rules. I remember I want to say it was the aces, but one of the teams got fine because they flew their uh team on the charter because it was against the rules, you know what I mean? Stuff a little stuff like that shouldn't be it shouldn't be against the rules. You get what I'm saying? So I think it's but also the players also gotta be realistic as well, as far as I know you want a pay increase, but how much of a pay increase? Now the sp the split the revenue splits is crazy. They're getting like 10 to 11%, as where every other league is getting closer to 50, or if not more. That's kind of like ridiculous. Yeah, that I don't want to say how that, yeah, I don't want to say how that wasn't fixed before.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Even if they fixed it, they was what they can. Yeah, but 11? That's kind of like a slap in the face. Them women deserve a lot better than 11. Um but you know, but yeah, it uh a lockout will be the worst case scenario for everybody, and I'm not sure the momentum would they own an upward momentum right now. I'm concerned that if they do do a lockout, that momentum might stop.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:So we'll we'll see. I mean, we will find out. We got a lot of offseason for the WNBA. The NBA is coming up soon. We'll talk about that in a little bit, but we gotta talk about some college football. Uh, before we get to the big, big news of the week of college football, this big game coming up. And we listen to it today or it happened yesterday. Louisville goes down to Miami as they go up against the number two team in the country. If you if you don't live under a rock, you know that we're Louisville fans and big Louisville fans at that. You think Louisville has a chance today?
SPEAKER_01:Miller Moss only throw the ball to the other team. Yeah, we be doing all right. Yeah, you know, you know what my response is gonna be. You know what my issue is with the team. Also, do watching this hurt, you know what I'm saying? But you know what my issue is with the team. Miller Mouse instead of taking the sack and throw an interception.
SPEAKER_00:He he throw interceptions out of time, and then we win that game if he doesn't throw that crazy interception. Don't get me started.
SPEAKER_01:Uh I was there and he threw that interception and I was like, bruh, what are we doing? Like, bro, I had to take the glasses off, like, bro, what are we? Anyways, but yeah, now Miller Boss, if he don't throw the ball to the Miami, we have a chance. We a good team, and I'm not saying that just because I'm a fan, right? I'm being real here. We are a good team.
SPEAKER_00:We just can't afford the mistakes. I agree. I think we're a solid team. Not I'm not necessarily sure that we are a playoff team, but I think we are, you know, top 12, make the playoffs. I think we are somewhere between 18 and 25. That's how I see us. We'll see if it shows up on the field tomorrow, but let's go ahead and get to the big news. You called it, man. I ain't even gonna lie to you. You said it. Uh, I look like an idiot. I know. Um, I'm just gonna say, you know, when we when I'm wrong or wrong, I came into this season. Like, I think this is Penn State Shared. I think they're gonna win the national championship. I also think their quarterback, Drew Aller, is gonna win the Heisman. Boy, was I wrong. I wish I could scrub that uh uh podcast of me saying that out the atmosphere, but I can't. I'm just gonna come to you. I was wrong. QU's right. James Franklin, he wasn't good enough, and they got him up out of there. They got him up out of there, they're gonna pay his buyout. No, no, which is eight million dollars a year. His buyout is weird because he has some language in his contract that basically states he has to look for a job, and whatever the job pays him up to whatever, if they pay, if the job pays him four million a year, that means Penn State only has to pay him four more million a year. So pretty much he's getting eight mil a year regardless. But he has to, it says he has to look for a job, which is kind of crazy to me. I never heard that that's in a contract that he has to look for the job. Like, dang, he can't just sit on his butt and collect his eight mil. So, I mean, so I want to know your thoughts on James Franklin, and I want to know like how would you play that situation if he was like you have to look for a job?
SPEAKER_01:So I was just here thinking when we said I ain't never heard of it. I guess that's how unemployment work. You gotta prove that you actually applying for jobs. So I guess that makes sense, but I ain't never heard of that where you had to yo bad Jimbo Fisher got what was it, like 60, 70 something million dollars when Florida State let him go? I ain't heard Jimbo Fisher's name since.
SPEAKER_00:No, he's done a pro a couple of analyst jobs, but that's about it.
SPEAKER_01:Man, I ain't heard that man's name. He ain't even pop up on TV. Most dudes like that pop up on TV. The ACC network needs him right now. He ain't even went, they ain't even thought about calling him, man. I got 70 million dollars, right? But I ain't I ain't worried about none of that. But James Franklin meant fire. It wasn't the head. So when he got fired, my first reaction was I told Dion he was gonna get fired. But I didn't think he was gonna lose the Northwestern either. At a homecoming at PNP, that's what it did. So like he lost his he lost, it's crazy. Dion, what was it, 15, 16 days ago? He was ranked top 10 team, going to overtime or whatever the case was with Oregon. It went away.
SPEAKER_00:Quick. Turn around. Life comes at you quick. I mean, it is it's crazy.
SPEAKER_01:Turn around lost to UCLA. Can I say this real quick? Tim Skipper is the interim coach at UCLA. Everybody's giving credit to the offensive coordinator. Yeah, but it's actually a black man. Like me, I didn't even know that until I was scrolling on Twitter, and they was like, they pointed it out. Somebody was they was they had the offensive coordinators and name and said the outer stores now. And then somebody said, Tim Skipper is the actual interim coach. He didn't need a coach. They just went him carrying him off the field. But the interim coaches, a man named Tim Skipper. Didn't even, yeah, didn't know that. Did not even know that. I really thought he was the offensive coordinator was in them. But anyways, that's neither her nor there. Lost to UCLA. Who knew he was gonna lose to a bow point to Northwestern? I'm not saying Northwestern's a bad team. But then you you went from, like you said, beginning of the season, everybody thought you were a national champion favorite. So you'd have lost three games in a row in the middle of the season. One of them to uh a winless UCLA at the time, which don't look as bad now, because they done won two games.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:In Northwestern, they I won't say they five and five or whatever the case. It's like five and five or six and six or something like that versus Penn State since he since James Franklin's been there. So it wasn't like him losing to Northwestern, it looks bad right now, but once you take a step back and look look at the statistics of it, he kind of loses to Northwestern quite obviously. He got like a he got a 500 record versus Northwestern. So but him being fired in the middle of the season, I knew he was gonna get fired. I didn't think it was gonna be the middle of the season.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I mean, after the Northwestern game, I was like, damn, he he might get fired after this season, but they just did it right then and there. Also, another like life comes at you fast moment, Drew Allen, the quarterback for Penn State again. For some reason, I said he was gonna win the Heisman. Who knows why I said that? But going into the college football playoffs, he was getting top 10 pick conversations. Like, hey, if he shows up in the college football playoffs, he my top 10 pick. He did good in one game in the second, I think it's the game, the second game, he did not look so hot. He decided to come back to raise his stock, which I assumed he was probably gonna be a first-round pick. Man injured himself, got injured, and now he's out for the season, and he has not looked great the beginning of the season to be warned a first round pick. So the man went from being a possible top 10 pick in around December of last year to now we'll see where he gets picked. He might fifth, fifth round at the best. If somebody wants to take a fly. But man, life comes at you fast.
SPEAKER_01:In your defense, did you a lot of people thought he was gonna be a hazard finalist? So it wasn't like you were saying something off the wall. Yeah, you what it didn't come out of left field. It didn't come out of left field. Um, who you think gonna replace? Who you think gonna replace uh frankly?
SPEAKER_00:Uh well let's go ahead and get to that. Um first name that came to my mind was the guy in Indiana. So I mean I think Indiana's been great. Uh Kirk Signetti. That man has turned Indiana around of all places in Indiana. Like that's actually a really crazy thing about it. But the man's got it, but he is not going nowhere. Indiana, they seen what they got, they realize they got something good. They decide to get down on one knee and drop off another bag to Kirk Signetti. He got extended for$11.6 million, which I think makes him the top five highest paying coach, which obviously he ain't got no ring and nothing. He ain't got much in the trophy case at the power four level. But clearly the man knows what he's doing. The man can coach, he turned Indian around. So obviously, they did the right thing there. The next guy, I didn't realize it, but the guy in Nebraska, Matt Rule, he's a Penn State alone. So I think if I had to put money on it from my perspective, I think it would be Matt Rule.
SPEAKER_01:So with Carsonetti, you know, Indy, I didn't know this, but doing, you know, I'm saying listening to different files and then actually looking up some numbers. Indiana had the the least amount of wins at either powerful. It depends. I think it was like, I think it was 20 since 2000. They have the least amount of wins. So him getting Indiana to where he at, DM is damn near worth a trophy. It is a trophy because they lost so dang old much. He got them in a playoff and going probably potentially have them in the playoffs again. That is trophy level. Um, here's the thing about Matt Rule, though, but I don't think people realize him and James Franklin's basically the same person. He don't win big games either. Like, nah, he's like two and 20 something versus top 10 or versus top 25 opponents.
SPEAKER_00:He ain't yeah, uh, he hasn't been at he's been to Temple, he went to Trailer, he flamed out at North Carolina uh the Carolina Panthers, and now he's at Nebraska. I mean, he the problem one thing with Matt Rule, he's only been at these places for like three years. He's turned through he's turned these places around in three years, but most of them was like, who are what type of school? Like bottom for your schools, and he turns them into something, then he got a better job. He's done that three times, well, two times. Caroline didn't do nothing. He's trying to do that for Nebraska.
SPEAKER_01:He's like two and twenty though, versus top, you know what I'm saying, versus top rank teams. He him and James Franklin was the same person. Just because he graduated from there don't make why would you find somebody who couldn't win the big game and then turn around and hire somebody that went that graduated from there, but also couldn't win the big game? To me, that don't make sense. So who what else? Who else you think? Aim high. Ain't they saving? What are they gonna say? He's gonna say no. He gonna say no, but okay, cool. You gotta aim high. Who's next? I mean, they got a history of scandals. Do you wanna go? Urban Meyer get you one, he'll get you one in five years.
SPEAKER_00:I don't think Urban Meyer would be good in today's era with the transfer portal. And I think he still I think he'd be good.
SPEAKER_01:Oh he ain't saving good. I think Saban will get you one in three years, Urban to get you one in five. But it that fifth year, you know what I'm saying, they probably lose in the first round of the playoff, and then Urban White, he's gonna be a little shaky, so you're gonna be looking for another head coach in a little bit. But we should get you one. You know what I mean? It's it pays the cost to be the boss, but you should get you one. Um other than them two, I like I said, I ain't high. Some people some people said uh damn, I I just had his name on the tip of my tongue. Uh Notre Dame's head coach. Uh Marcus Freeman. Some people said that, like I holler at him. I'm not leaving Notre Dame for Penn State.
SPEAKER_00:I'm not.
SPEAKER_01:So look, yeah, I'm gonna give you, I'm gonna give you three schools. Well, I give you UCLA's open, Virginia Tech's open.
SPEAKER_00:Uh uh.
SPEAKER_01:Penn State's opening Arkansas is open too. Arkansas's open. But Florida, it's potential for Florida to be open. It's potential for LSU to be open. Merlin is open too, I think. Um I don't know how people assuming LSU might be open, but it's rumors that LSU. That's what they're saying. It's rumors that LSU might be open.
SPEAKER_00:Auburn is another one of those that might be open.
SPEAKER_01:Out of those schools, where do you put Penn State? Realistically. Because they ain't really won a championship since Praterno. What was that in the eight, late 80s, early 90s, I think?
SPEAKER_00:So Penn State, Florida, Arkansas, UCLA, Virginia Tech. I'm not gonna lie, they might. It might be Penn State. I think I might personally, if I was a coach, I would probably decide I would probably go to Florida. But I don't think Penn State's far off.
SPEAKER_01:Man, I think it's not, I think it's Florida and it ain't close who number two. Penn State ain't won an SD championship since 1986. Why they it's kind of don't take it the wrong way, Dion. It's not a shot at a shot at you per se. Not a shot at you, but I feel like you know where I'm going with this. It's like the Cowboys talking about, you know what I'm saying? We go with the Super Bowl every year. Yeah, ain't won since the 90s. Who Penn State Pennsylvania thinking they national championship contenders? Well, yeah, they won since the 80s. What are we talking about? They think they Florida for real. They Florida leads Florida State. They won one recently. Okay, okay. They think they LSU level, Alabama level. Like, I'm a head coach.
SPEAKER_00:I'm gonna ask you this. Obviously, it kind of doesn't matter because you can change a program around just like that in today's era with Transfer Polo and the NIO and all that. But in your head, coming into the season, you said it, who you think was closer to the to glory? Florida or Penn State? Yeah, going into the season, Penn State, yeah, for sure. I still think Penn State is closer to glory, easier to walk in and keep it going. Or the so I always use this analogy, a car analogy. I talk about it a lot with uh the Golden State Warriors, uh Mark Jackson, he built that car up real nice. Steve Kerr just came in and drove it. Steve Kerr was just came in and told not to dent it up. And yeah, I mean he he enhanced it, but he didn't have to do much. Penn State, you gotta enhance it. You ain't gotta do much enhancement like you went in Florida from my perspective. But today's a little different. I'm gonna use your kind analogy.
SPEAKER_01:Penn State. It's in Pennsylvania. Like they play football up there, right? So you know what I'm saying? You got some you got some you got some parts you can go get. But you also gotta travel around the country to go get these parts shipped to you.
unknown:Okay.
SPEAKER_01:I'm the head coach in Florida. All the parts is right here. All I gotta do is I don't even gotta go outside. They all they just here. Look over her, look over her, look right there. If I want to go up north a little bit to the next store, the name of the store is the state of Georgia and Alabama. They do okay up around with them too. I'm just saying, the parts is right here to build a national championship. As a European state, you gotta go search a little bit. And it's and I said this on the last buy. What if it ain't James Franklin? They can't win the big game. What if his PS8 can't win the big game? What if he goes take this Virginia Tech job and then gets them to the national championship?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Or takes the UCLA job, whatever the case may be. It would be crazy if he takes the UCLA job, even though that's part of the reason he got fired.
SPEAKER_00:There's no if you the A D, he should have a contract. I'm assuming the season goes. Well, it looks like it's gonna looks like he's turned around. He should have a contract waiting for him as soon as the season's over. And uh, you know, we we should keep this going. Um, so yeah, yeah, I the more you you you you you put me on it, I would probably take the forage job. Uh Arkansas's another job. It's one of them, I don't know. Bobby Petrino, former Louva coach, he's doing it, he's trying to get that job. You can just tell. Soon as they made him interim head coach, he walked in that coaching staff uh meeting room, said you, you and you, out. I'm running the show now. He said he wants that job. Don't know if he'll get it, but we'll see. Virginia Tech's a decent job, too.
SPEAKER_01:Hold on, real quick. You talking about the same Bobby Petrino who got fired from Arkansas because he got caught on the bike with another. All right, cool. Can we? He won't. Dion, why he why was he even the offensive coordinator?
SPEAKER_00:Hey, he got bills to pay just like me and you.
SPEAKER_01:No, I'm not talking about him. I'm talking about why would you hire him to be your offensive coordinator when he used to be come on, fam. What are we doing? Why would I hire somebody that used to be the head coach to be the offensive coordinator? As soon as something go left, they go look right back at him. Because the only reason he got far was because he got caught in scandal. If he had had that record, nobody found out besides the AD, he still would have had that job.
SPEAKER_00:In Arkansas, that was the last time Arkansas was actually pretty relevant, is with Bobrino as the head coach back in the day. But hey, but there's gonna be a lot more jobs open up. We will see. We're over here talking like uh the Florida job is officially open. It's not, but I mean, I don't I don't like to talk about a man's job like that, but he's gonna get paid handsomely. He's gonna get paid handsomely. None better than uh a uh a fired uh college football coach. But before we slide over to the next uh uh segment, you James Franklin, what job you going after? Are you you just gonna get your little podcast? You're gonna try to be an analyst, or you're gonna actually try to be a coach somewhere, or you know, be a high school coach, you know, a high school assistant.
SPEAKER_01:If I'm just that's a solid question. Because I could go do TV for like two years and then go be the head coach somewhere. But it de I think it depends on the job. Because let's say let's say Florida opens up. Which if you Florida, do you call James Franklin? Because if I'm if James, if Florida calls me and I'm James Franklin, I'm taking that job. I wouldn't call I'm an attorney.
SPEAKER_00:Personally, I'm not calling him. You wouldn't call him. Okay. I wouldn't call him. If I'm the AD of Florida, I wouldn't call him. Maybe I don't know what James Franklin specializes in them. That's kind of crazy. But maybe offense or defensive coordinator, but I wouldn't call him for my head coach.
SPEAKER_01:If I'm James Firklin, I'm not being a coordinator. I'm gonna be a head coach because I know I can I can go get that Virginia Tech job and basically be in the same recruiting area as Pennsylvania, as P State, you know what I mean? I'm not taking no coordinated job. But if I'm James Franklin, it depends on the job, and it also depends on what you're offering me. If you're going to, and because I already know I'm gonna make$8 million, even if you pay me, like you said, he could he could technically give a a school a bargain, like, hey, just give me about two mil.
SPEAKER_00:I can put the rest of that money.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, put the rest of that money. If you're gonna put the rest of that money in the NIL so I could build up the football program, and I can go out here and go grocery shopping like they do for players, which is crazy to think that's what they do now. But then yeah, I'm I'm gonna take it, don't matter what the job, if the job is going to give me the potential to win, and they're gonna give me the the money that I need to go win. Because at this point, not only do I need you to pay me, I need you to have money to pay the players. And if you ain't gonna spend the money to pay the players, like Arkansas, their issue right now is they don't want to spend to pay the players like they should. Hey, you in the SEC, you're going to have to. You're in the SEC and you also in Arkansas. You kind of in the middle, you kind of in the middle of nowhere.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:So speaking of gallery, look at Texas Tech. They dropped the bag on their roster this year. Look at them.
SPEAKER_01:Look at them. So yeah. In the middle of nowhere, drop the bag. Yeah, they good. And they top 10. That's what I say. Top team, top 10 team in the country. If but if a team's gonna do that for James Franklin, I will go. But if you're not going to be, if they're not gonna be all in on football, hey, well, I'm gonna be on TV for a little bit. ESPN always turned.
SPEAKER_00:Always. They need some more L's.
SPEAKER_01:They don't, but they do.
SPEAKER_00:Let's go ahead and slide over to the NFL. Anything that stood out to you this week, man, you know, uh the Bills loss, the Cowboys loss. No, Tennessee fired their coach, you know, you know, anything that stands out.
SPEAKER_01:I mean, yeah, we fired our coach, which was to be expected. Uh on the field wise, the Bills losing kind of I ain't gonna lie. The Bills losing surprise me. I wasn't really I picked the Cowboys to beat the Panthers, but I wasn't really surprised that the Panthers won. Because Bryce Young is is improving. The um, what was it? Uh I was gonna talk about the Coles, but I really don't want to talk about the Coles. The Colts still look good. And I don't want to talk about them, but they still look good. And if we had to do a favorite on MVP, Daniel Jones would probably be number two by Baker Mayfield. No. Who would have thought that going into the year? Right. But on the field, those are the things that stood out to me. Baker's ball and Daniel Jones' ball, and he got the coach looking like Peyton Manning number two, but not at her stuff.
SPEAKER_00:Patrick's ball and charge. If you look at the standings, it's looking like it's like what uh 2007 with Peyton Manning, fella Rivers, Tom Brady, and Ben Rosselsberger. That's what the standings look like in the AFC right now. 2007, which is ridiculous. But let's go back to Tennessee. They fired their coach. Uh I believe this is the fourth time in a row that the number one overall pick, quarterback wise, has gotten their head coach fired in the season. And last time it was Kaylin Williams. My question for you, as a Tennessee Titans fan, who's on that wish list?
SPEAKER_01:Who's on that wish list or who have I heard? Ryan Flores would be on the wish list. But I also heard offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Stillers right now, Arthur Smith, used to be head coach at Atlanta. He was an officer coordinator at Tennessee up under uh Vabril. Uh I don't really. I won't say what this five consecutive years we have either fired the coach or the GM. At what point, because I'm trying, I had it, I had to say, but now I can't find it in my phone. I was trying to look for it. But five consecutive years we have fired the head coach or the GM. It's the organization. The organization is being run poorly as a Tennessee Titans fan. I can say that. The organization is being run poorly. And if we don't, which this head coach, when we hired this head coach, it was kind of like, I don't think that's it, but alright, if that's what y'all want to do, cool. But this ain't it. Alright, we see now that this ain't it. You didn't even give him a full season with Cam Ward. He was bad last year. Why did y'all think he was gonna be good this year? And then y'all y'all gave Cam Ward a couple years with him, so now then we setting Cam Ward up for failure because simple fact now he's gonna come in with a new coach, new offensive coordinator, and gonna be playing a completely different style than what he's been going through so far this year and what he's going to face for the rest of the year. It just don't make sense. It don't make sense to me. That being said, the coaching, it was coming. It was gonna be at the end of the year anyway. So it is what it is. I don't want it to be Arthur Smith, even though that's what I'm hearing. I do not want it to be Arthur Smith. He wasn't good in Atlanta.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I wouldn't want it to be Arthur Smith either.
SPEAKER_01:He's a good offensive coordinator, but I wouldn't want it to be him. Now, if Tom decides he don't want to be in Pittsburgh no more, he won't come south.
SPEAKER_00:I'll let you boy. Yeah. I mean, I thought, depending on how this season would go, that Mike Tomlin might be looking for a new job. But the way it's going right now, I don't think he will be. But I have a name. And I want to hear how you feel about it. He is a former head coach. So he had he has some success. Now, I am someone I personally don't like kicking the tires on head coaches, but he hasn't been a head coach for a little bit. Uh, I think the worst hire ever was when the New York Jets hired Adam Gase right after the Miami Dolphins fired him. Yeah, even though Adam Gase only got the job in Miami because he was the offensive coordinator at Denver with Peyton Manning. That's Peyton Manning, bro. He didn't do much. He just no gay paid man suggestions. But that's that's just me, Ren. But my name for the Tennessee Titans is the offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders right now, Cliff Kingsbury.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I heard that name too. No.
SPEAKER_00:How you feeling? You don't you ain't you ain't messing with that? No, not at all. All right, not at all. Uh yeah, so I don't have any other names out there. I mean, uh uh coach Mike McCarthy's out there.
SPEAKER_01:You know I heard that name too. I wouldn't be mad at McCarthy. I would take McCarthy over Smith or uh Cliff Feensburg. But no, I don't I don't want Cliff.
SPEAKER_00:No. I'm trying, I'm going about some Brian Flores. I'm honestly, bro, I don't can't think of any other. It's gonna be a tough year for head coach because there's no Ben Johnson out there. There's no Aaron Glenn's not looking so hard, but there's no Aaron Glenn.
SPEAKER_01:I was gonna say I take Glenn.
SPEAKER_00:The problem is team.
SPEAKER_01:The problem, it ain't Glenn. It was it's the it's the Jets. It ain't Glenn's fault that they suck. Look at they get I'm about to say something. I'm gonna say it anyway. Deion X thought the quarterback is Justin Fields. I feel like that's enough. Justin Fields is a solid backup. But he's they starter. Just saying. That that might be the issue.
SPEAKER_00:We talked about the we talked about the man, we talked about uh Jalen Hurts last week, and we said he's solid because he has the F factor. He doesn't have much arm talent. I think Justin Fields is Jalen Hurts without the it factor. Neither of them have much arm talent. He doesn't have the if factor. I agree with that.
SPEAKER_01:I think I agree with that. Justin Fields is a little faster as far as speed-wise, but other than that, yeah, you're right. They basically the same player, manus the it factor. Yeah, you you're right. That's a great comparison.
SPEAKER_00:So yeah, if and Justin Fields, he looked horrible in when he was in the look like he didn't know what was going on, looked like he hasn't been an NFL quarterback before. At least Jalen Hurts can tell when the team is about to blitz him. Justin Fields looking at this thing like man, he's looking at these people, they don't know if they've been blitzed. He's late on the uh out routes. You can't be late on the out routes, bro. He's not only are you late, but you know what the end and not out is I don't know what's going on. Justin Field has regressed. So uh, but speaking of, I don't I don't know who else y'all could get. It's gonna be it's gonna be a surprising name from our perspective. I mean, OJ um uh Gerard, not OJ, Gerard Mayo.
SPEAKER_01:Gerard Mayo, you thinking of the NBA player, OJ? Gerard Mayo. I don't think he got a first ink in New England, but so he ain't gonna come down here and get a first eight. I mean, I was like, there is a college coach that has won a bunch of Super Bowls that's about to get fired too. He he coaches college now, but he won a bunch of Super Bowls with Tom Brady.
SPEAKER_00:Would you take him?
SPEAKER_01:He's gonna get fired too. Oh, well, I take it. If you had to ask me last year, I would have said yeah. But seeing how everything's playing out in USC, I don't think I would take him as my head coach. If uh I wouldn't take Bill Belgique now. If you had asked me last year, I would have said yeah. But this year, no, I think it might be over for him.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, and I I think it's gonna be an offensive mind head coach. If you're a GM, that's probably what you need to lean towards. You got this, you you got this pick right. It don't look great because the team is horrible. And you know, they they they're probably they're hyping up um a Jackson Dark. He's on a better team, not much better team, but he's on a well much better, that's much better weapons in the New York than it is in Tennessee. They happen to Jackson Dark. I still think Ken Ward is a better quarterback than Jackson Dark. He just ain't been able to show it yet.
SPEAKER_01:So yeah, no, I think uh I think Ken Ward's gonna be the truth once he but you said go offensive, offensive matter head coach, which I I I understand with you, and I would agree with that. That's what we just fired was an offensive matter head coach. So that got gone, that didn't go well.
SPEAKER_00:So uh one one more name, because uh again, I don't agree with coaches getting a head coaching job right after they get fired, but I think it's a possibility. What about uh Mike McDaniels?
SPEAKER_01:As an offense coordinator, yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Not head coach. No, no, no, no. We're not doing that. I agree, I agree. I don't think I don't think a coach should get a head coaching job right after you get fired. You need like a year to like reassess what happened, but no, that's the NFL. Let's go ahead and um do these NFL pickups, and we got a little surprise for y'all before we get up out of here. All right, bet. Uh first one, Patriots versus Titans. I got the Patriots, dude. They look they hot right now.
SPEAKER_01:So I feel like we all know where I'm gonna go, even though we didn't, you know, we just followed our coach. It's gonna be the week we're gonna turn it around. Interim head coach, they're gonna be carrying the interim head coach out. Alright, next. Um, commanders versus cowboys.
SPEAKER_00:Boy, take the over, Cowboys.
SPEAKER_01:Um, it's in Dallas, too. Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna go I'm gonna go to Boys 2. Alright, um Bucks versus Lions. This is the first of the Monday night game.
SPEAKER_00:NFL, what are we doing, though? Can we can we stop, please? It was tough trying to keep track of both games, but uh only because Becky Makefield has me, he's throwing the football to me out there at the moment. I'm going with the Lions. If he had his full arsenal out there, Mecca Buka, Mike Evans, and Chris Groundwin, I would say them. But he got me out there. So I'm going with the Lions.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I'm gonna go with the Lions too. Uh next one, the other Monday night games. See, this is the thing. For me with the Monday night games, if you're gonna do them, I'd rather it be a double header than two of them on the same time.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Now I wish the other ones, the first game started at six instead of seven.
SPEAKER_00:Hey, I don't know if I'm I already know the next one is at 10. It started at 10. I don't know if I'm gonna make it. You you you're gonna give me the first half.
SPEAKER_01:I was gonna say, you're gonna give me the first half for sure. Well, I'm on vacation next week, so I'll probably I'll be able to stay up.
SPEAKER_00:You're gonna give me the first half. I I ain't gonna make it past the first half. I'll willing to bet that.
SPEAKER_01:All right, uh, which one you say? Uh just say Texas versus Seahawks, my bad. That's where we're Texas versus Seahawks.
SPEAKER_00:Uh I uh I got Seahawks. I'll catch y'all I'll catch the highlights in the morning though.
SPEAKER_01:Uh I'm gonna I'm gonna go with the Texans just to be different. Alright, and then Colts versus Chargers, which is surprisingly now a good game. Colts. This is just ridiculous. I'm not picking them. So I'm gonna go up with the Chargers. Is that Sunday night? No, that's uh Sunday night is uh Falcons versus somebody. I was like, I ain't doing that. Yeah, the uh Sunday night's Falcons versus Falcons did look good though, I ain't gonna lie. Nah, they did. They they did look good, but I I'm still not 49ers, which ain't that bad of a game, but I'm still gonna pick the 49ers in there, so that's why I ain't but yeah, no, that's it. That's the that's the pickups.
SPEAKER_00:Alright, so NFL is in the books. But again, if you're living on the rock, NBA preseason's been going on, which means the NBA season is literally Tuesday, which means it's time for us to draft some NBA teams and see who's gonna have the most wins. The NBA wins draft. We did it last season. Q, you dominated me. It is what it is. I'm going, I'm coming to get my get back, and I think this is gonna be a good year because I think there's a lot of parody this season. We was talking before Pie. We was thinking, who do we think our Super Bowl contenders? And we um who do you think are uh NBA Finals contenders? And we can really think of only two teams that we would be willing to put the house on. Everybody else, yeah. All right, so let's get it started. You get you get the first pick. If you give me the first pick, I'm gonna get I'm gonna take OKC, the defending champs.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, cool. I'm gonna take the Cavaliers because simple fact it's the regular season. They're gonna win a bunch of games in the regular season. You know what I mean? They're gonna win a bunch of games in the regular season. So if you go, I'm gonna take the gals for the second pick. Well, I mean so with my first pick. So all right, next, who you got? You're gonna give me Denver. I'll take Denver. I ain't mad at it. Uh I'm gonna go with the I'm gonna go with the Knicks. Because again, regular season, they gonna win some games.
SPEAKER_00:I will go probably off the wall here. I don't think it's that off the wall, but I think they got a potential to be top three in the east. I'm going with the magic.
SPEAKER_01:Houston ain't gonna win a bunch of games in a regular season type situation. Oh give me the Lakers.
SPEAKER_00:I'll take Houston.
SPEAKER_01:This is a good pick. I ain't even gonna lie, that was really my next pick. Oh regular season, they gonna w. I think they I think this team's gonna win some games this year. I'm gonna take this first.
SPEAKER_00:I like that, I like that. Uh oh man. We scraping bottom, but I I I'm gonna go, I might as well go ahead and take golden state.
SPEAKER_01:Look, my next pick. You just took my next pick two times in a row. Oh It's regular season. Give me the symbols.
SPEAKER_00:Ah, man. That was good. That's good. Oh man. They still a good team with a good coach. Give me Boston. I went uh drove by past Auburn Hills a couple of weeks uh like last month. I just felt the malice in the palace energy. I felt the energy while I was in Auburn Hills. But uh oh man. Oh I will I will take I'll take the Clippers.
SPEAKER_01:I thought they was gonna be there for me. I'm gonna take the Hawks. I think Trade Young is. I was thinking about them, boy. I was really thinking. I think they're gonna finish top four in the East. If I'm going right now, I think they would be the fourth seed in the East at the end of the year.
SPEAKER_00:Alright. Oh man. Oh shit. Give me Dallas.
SPEAKER_01:Gonna take the Mass. Now this. Everybody, people's healthy. Give me 76s. I wouldn't take them. I don't think they'd be on those. That's a thing. It's a boom of bust with deal. Either they gonna, they could potentially be a top two in the East, or they're gonna be like last year.
SPEAKER_00:Uh I I'm I'm gonna take I'ma take a flyer and see if he can bounce back, see if he can get the team back on the right way. Hopefully he's not throwing any more grenades in the fans uh to the fans this season. Let me go ahead and get the Grizzlies.
SPEAKER_01:Now we really get into it. Come on. Give me the paces. We got injuries though, so it's a reason why. You know what I mean? Not injuries, a injury. A injury. And we did lose Mouse Turner. It's bad.
SPEAKER_00:Oh man. Um they still got some decent players. I don't believe in them. The WNBA team made it to the finals, so I I go with the Phoenix Suns. Don't believe in them, but they still got Devin Booker.
SPEAKER_01:Well, I was hesitant to take this team, but I'm gonna go on take them now because we're getting low. I'm gonna take the Bucs. And the reason I was hesitant is because what if Giannis gets rated in the middle of the season? Because the reports came out that he they was talking, it was a special window for him to talk to the New York Knicks. So what if Giannis figure his way up out the Bucs? What if y'all, but I'm gonna go on take him here because we're getting late. It's good value, it's good value now. One good value early, but it's good value now.
SPEAKER_00:Uh next one uh I'm gonna go, we might as well talk about this a little bit. Westbrook signed with the Sacramento Kings. Think it's gonna move the needle for the Kings. I don't, but I mean, shout out to Westbrook for getting a job.
SPEAKER_01:Their rotation is DeMar DeRozan, Zach Levine, and Russell Westbrook. I guess a bonus. I'm talking about as far as like wings, bars, and stuff. You know what I'm saying? I know I'm forgetting some people, but if you start off with them three names, two of them dudes is gonna be in the Hall of Fame, but both of them's towards the end of their career.
SPEAKER_02:Yep.
SPEAKER_01:So is that really?
SPEAKER_02:Yep.
SPEAKER_01:I don't know if that's gonna really do anything for you. Oh shoot, who's next?
SPEAKER_00:Uh I'm gonna take the Pelicans. Pelicans. If they healthy, no. Uh Zan looks like he's healthy. I mean, he's you know, skinny. Uh I'm gonna go with, you know, what I consider my favorite team, the Miami Heat. Uh they they'll they'll you know, they'll make their way to the play-in and make some noise in the playoffs like they always do.
SPEAKER_01:If this team puts it together, they should be a top six seed in these. If BI stay, Brandon Ingram stays healthy, they should be a top six seed in these. Top six seeding east. So I'm gonna go with the Raptors.
SPEAKER_00:All right, that was a great pick.
SPEAKER_01:Uh who we got not if they ain't healthy. If Brandon Ingram's hurt, it's not.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve. So that means we got uh thirteen, so fifteen, twelve. We got six teams left.
SPEAKER_01:Yep, sixteen's left. Yep.
SPEAKER_00:Oh man. Uh boy, these teams here.
SPEAKER_01:Um, I know who I'm going.
SPEAKER_00:I know who I'm going. Yep. Crazy, because I can only think of four. I don't know why. Um, none of them, I don't, I don't believe in none of them four teams either. I'm missing, I'm I'm forgetting some team that's probably gonna be decent. Cause I can only think of the trash teams and team that I think is gonna be the least trash. I think I'm gonna go with the jazz. They got a lot of young pieces. I'm glad you didn't go with my pick. I probably don't like I could only have four in my hair. I can't think of the other two. I'm going trailblazers. I was thinking about it.
SPEAKER_01:I just they won like 38 games last year.
SPEAKER_00:Oh there. Um uh so the other team. Well, we okay. We got the wizards left, the hornets left. I was forgetting. I was forgetting. I knew I would I knew the Hornets. I had the Jazz, Trailblazers, Hornets, and then some other team in my head. But uh I I will go with um I'm not going with the Wizards, I'm going with the Hornets. Alright, uh give me the Bulls. That's who I was forgetting. How did I forget the damn bulls? Yeah, give me the bulls. Well, since you uh between the Nets and the Wizards. I I I think the the Nets will be better. I don't I don't know. I guess the Nets would be better.
SPEAKER_01:If you go with the Nets, that leaves me with the Wizards. Yeah, the Nets will be better than the Wizards, but I I'll take it. It is what it is.
SPEAKER_00:So that's our uh NBA wins draft. We'll talk a little bit more about the NBA season as it starts next year. Our early thoughts. We'll give you guys our early MVP picks, and we'll talk about our finals picks. Uh no, give you a little spoiler about it. Me and Q only think OKC and Denver are worth putting any money on to win the championship. Outside of that, I don't know. We don't know. So, hey, we'll talk about our MVPs, most of coach of the year, all that next week's episode, when the season starts. But we don't know. There's a lot of parody in the NBA, just like there's a lot of parody in the NFL, because as of right now, the Bengals, they're putting, they're giving the still of some of that work. But I look forward to not only the rest of the M NFL season, but the NBA season. We are we are here. Mm-hmm playoffs, NHL, which I picked a team. I'll reveal that next week. I'll reveal my team next week. I will do it if I remember. I actually don't write that out. But I picked a team. But we got all these other games going on. So shout out to that. Uh please like, please subscribe. Uh leave a comment uh in the comment section. Do me a favor, guys. If you watch NHL, if you like NHL, or if you don't like NHL, pick a team. Whatever team you pick, put them in the comment section. Q, he's still looking for a team. He might read the comment section and feel like he's found the team with a comment that you put in the comment section. So do that for me this episode. Uh, please like, please subscribe. Thank you guys again for joining us for another episode of From My Perspective. I'm your boy Dion. Um let's go ahead and get up out of here, Q. Go ahead, take us home.
SPEAKER_01:Man, you might know the guys, it's your boy, Mr. Bell, aka aka say you're never on the spot. Mind up you the mind. ESPN, I paid all this money to watch this daggone out. I shouldn't have had to watch the first two matches on my phone. I should have been able just to connect it to the Dagon TV. It shouldn't have taken me two matches to figure it out. For not for me to figure out, for it to be able to connect to the TV. Don't make no daggone sense. We holler at y'all later.
