SPEAKER_00:

Welcome, welcome, welcome back to another episode of From My Perspective. I'm your boy Dion coming to you with another episode. Thank you guys for listening. Thank you. Uh while you had it, please like, please subscribe, leave a comment in the comment section. Uh Q, uh, how you doing though, Captain Ada?

SPEAKER_02:

Man, you already know the past. It's your boy, Mr. Bear. I can't say your name upon this pod. Might not put you to mouth. What's going on, Dion?

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, it's going pretty good, man. Um, before, you know, before we get heavy into the pod today, uh, as you guys probably know, we are from the Louisville area and we had a very tragic plane accident. A UPS cargo plane crashed on takeoff on Tuesday around 5.13 um in the afternoon. As of right now, 13 people have been pronounced dead with more unaccounted for, unfortunately. Um with the three uh three guys that was flying the UPS cargo plane, Captain Richard Wartenberg, international relief officer Dana Daumen, and first officer Lou Truitt. Uh those guys unfortunately lost their lives in the accident. So just from the mixed vibe media family, uh hearts and condolences go out to those family members with those, not just those three, but the other 10 souls that lost, and also the ones that have uh not been accounted for. No, it's uh heavy. All we can do is uh give our hearts and condolences to those people going through those tough times. Uh also one other thing, um uh NFL, a little NFL news. Uh, we did have a current NFL player, Marshawn Nealon, uh defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys, who unfortunately took his own life today. In the tragic news, uh, I just want to say uh it's men's mental health, mental health awareness month. And just everybody just check on your peoples. You don't know what these people, what your friend is going through, man or woman. Um, Marshaw Nealing, you know, he's an NFL player, second round pick, NFL player. He just scored his first NFL touchdown last Monday, and on Thursday, he is no longer with us. So uh I just want to put out the National Suicide Prevention Outline 1-800-273-8255 again. 1-800-273-8255. You can also down 988 if that's easier for you to remember. Again, 988 if that's easier for you to remember. But, you know, obviously Tuesday was heavy, hard at for Louisville, and then in the NFL world, we lost a young guy, Marshall Linley, at 24 years old.

SPEAKER_02:

Uh, Q, you have anything you wanted to add to the uh first thousand prayers to the city and everyone that's uh affected. With Marshine, uh like you said, November's mental health awareness for men, it's okay to ask for help.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

It's okay to ask for help. It's also it's also okay not to have it all together. I think as sometimes as men, we looked at we feel like we gotta be so strong and we gotta have everything together and we gotta hold it in. It's okay for it. It's okay for it not to be okay. It is not it's not a crime, it's not nobody's gonna judge you. Take care of yourself because you can't take care of others if you don't take care of yourself.

SPEAKER_01:

Yep.

SPEAKER_02:

So remember, it's okay not to be okay. If you need help, ask for help.

SPEAKER_00:

One more time, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, 1-800-273-8255. Or you can also just down 988 if that's easier for you to remember. Hey, if you need help, ask for help. No shame, and nobody is perfect out there, and nobody nobody is too big to ask for help. Just want to point that out there. Um, I'll say it's no easier way to transition, but we're gonna try our best. Q, I do have a question for you. Um believe the news came out what Thursday, Friday. Oh, it had it came out Friday. It came out Friday because it was after we pod, but we have a dispute between companies between YouTube TV and Disney. You know, they call it the Mickey Mouse. Um, they are in a stand standoff, so pretty much YouTube TV no longer has any Disney channels, also known as ESPN, ABC. You have YouTube TV. I don't, so it really wasn't affected me, but you have YouTube TV, and it happened on Friday, so and it's still going on currently today, as we're standing as it's Thursday, so you didn't get to watch, well, no college football Saturday, no Monday night football on Monday. Well, what you do?

SPEAKER_02:

Well, technically I didn't get to watch because I got the ESPN out.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay.

SPEAKER_02:

So I do get to watch the stuff. But here's my issue, here's my problem. All right. Pat McAfee already said this, but it's like, as a consumer, why are you asking me to go to a website that says save my networks? This ain't got nothing to do with me because no matter what I say, or no matter what I do on this website, it's not gonna make a difference. YouTube wanna pay X amount, ESPN wants YouTube to pay this amount. The amount is different, it just is what it is. Nothing I do or nothing I say is going to affect or change either one of these people's mentalities.

SPEAKER_00:

That being said, go ahead. Uh I just wanted to give credit to YouTube TV for just somewhat standing no business because obviously people ESPN is trying to blame YouTube TV, but you see what the you see what it is. YouTube, uh ESPN, they want more money. YouTube TV is like, nah, because they don't want to charge their consumer more money. But Disney, they know most people got YouTube TV for ESPN, so they're just trying to charge more. And also, ESPN wants people to go to their app. That's that's probably the biggest thing. They don't prefer people to only have their app, anyways. But go kid, continue what you were saying.

SPEAKER_02:

Man, but here's the thing with the app, because you brought up the app. I tagged it on Twitter yes, I tagged ESPN on Twitter yesterday. The app sound don't even work half the damn time. You click on some of these games, you can't hear a you can't I was about to cuss. You can't hear that though this damn app. So you I'm paying$30 for this, I'm paying$30 for this app, and I'm sitting here watching a lot of games in silence because I can't hear nothing. There's no sound. Only time there's sound is if I put it in multi-view. I gotta watch every game in multiview to hear something sound, and that's the thing, it picks and chooses what games it is. So ESPN, if you go have this dispute with YouTube TV, make sure your sounds are right. Is that too much to networking? Is that too much to ask? And then I don't like the fact that I gotta log in from a phone to allow it to stream to the TV. If I'm paying$30 for this app, once I log in on the TV, I should be good to go.

SPEAKER_00:

This sounds like the app has a lot of issues. It got a lot of issues. Then you then let me go to YouTube TV.

SPEAKER_02:

Okay, y'all go if it y'all said if the dispute drags on, y'all gonna give us a$20 credit. Hey, what do you mean if? Once it goes on over a day, you should have given me a$30 credit.

SPEAKER_00:

Really, like it's not even dependent on the day. You miss college football Saturday, you miss Monday night. That's the times people use, especially Saturday. That was the per that's the time people use it the most. Come on, man.

SPEAKER_02:

I'm not look no, yeah, no offense. I'm not a big noon kickoff guy. That ain't my back, but that's what I'm seeing. That's what I was watching on Saturday because that's all I had, because I couldn't get game day. Imagine like me, you talk about it's just on in the background, yeah. But still, I would wanted it on the background. Nah, I was watching Big Noon kickoff. YouTube TV. Nah, you better give me hey, I better have my credit off the off the muscle.

SPEAKER_00:

Hey man, uh I man, I agree with you, but I don't have those problems. I have Sling TV, but I just know ESPN they're gonna come for Sling very soon. They're gonna, hey, I need that, I need that extra bread. You know, Sling probably might give in, though. I feel like they're the type to give in easier than YouTube TV. But let's go ahead and slide to the sports world again. Um baseball season ended a couple couple days ago in a game seven, which I'm assuming you you watched the game seven? I did. I did. I watched the game seven as well, November 1st. One of the best games I've ever watched. It went to extra innings, and the Dodgers came back to win, and then they are back-to-back World Series champions. The catch, uh, I forgot who called it, but that catch in in late inning was incredible. Uh gotta give a shout out to Will Smith, not the actor Will Smith, but the catcher Will Smith. Uh Kentucky Native, Louisville native, I believe. He went to the University of Louisville. We do big things. I'm just saying. Louisville, if you're from Louisville, you do big things. Will Smith doing big things, but great game, back-to-back champions. Uh, we got another year and then that lockout probably coming. I'm just, I feel it. But what was your thoughts on the World Series Game 7? Which I think it broke some records. Uh viewing records, I believe.

SPEAKER_02:

I was gonna say, I know they I know they had more viewers than the NBA finals.

SPEAKER_00:

25.9 million viewers. Uh the NBA finals had 16.4, both of them was game seven, which is kind of crazy.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, yeah. I mean, Tyrese did get hurt early in that game, so a lot of people probably never got to tune in to it or whatnot. Uh, so you asked what my thoughts and can I be honest with you? My first thought was after the Dodgers won was yeah, they go, it's gonna be a salary cap soon. Yeah, that's legit was my thought. One was damn, I feel bad for the Toronto. And then immediately my second thought was they're gonna be it's gonna be a salary cap soon.

SPEAKER_00:

It man, it was they was the they were so that one play that play that uh they got the uh out at home play, so close to ending that game right there. Crazy, but go ahead.

SPEAKER_02:

It didn't hell game six, not to go back too far, but game six, the way that game six ended on that double play, I ain't never of course the baseball people were saying they ain't never seen nothing like that. And so you know I definitely never seen nothing like that. For it to end like that, because I just knew it was gonna fall. I just knew it was gonna fall right in his face and it was gonna keep playing. But no, he caught that ball and was able to get the double play. Uh that was game six, but then game, like I said, game seven. Toronto had many chances to close out that game. And unfortunately, they didn't. But shout out to the Toronto Blue Jays, they had an amazing season, and I was rooting for them because before the World Series, I we, you know, we both said the Dodgers. But then last week I flipped and said, nah, uh the Blue Jays was gonna bring it home. And I um I just wanted to be right, Deion, because I do have this whole baseball playoffs. I have been wrong on every prediction, so I just wanted it to be right, and didn't happen for me. It didn't happen for me, but that being said, um the Dodgers, congratulations to them. Now, I'm not trying to take nothing away from them by bringing up the salary count. But when you get that many great players, it's kind of it's kind of hard to see them losing. They might, it might be too soon, but they might they might three pee, like them like them other, like the other team that LA did once upon a time.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I can I can see a three-pin high. Uh yeah, Shoei or Tani did start. He didn't he didn't do so high, you know. No, he didn't. Um, it wasn't his normal rest. I think he was only on like three days' rest. He usually normally gets at least five days. But um the MVP, his name, I'm going to butcher his name.

SPEAKER_02:

I wasn't even gonna try, but that boy balled out. He balled out through 90 the night before and then came back and do it through, I think 96, and then came back through like 36 or 37 pitch or something like that.

SPEAKER_00:

Yama Yamamoto, he had a he uh he uh had a complete game. He came in a well-deserved World Series MVP. So congratulations to him. Congratulations to the Los Angeles Dodgers for winning back to back. Y'all might as well go ahead and win a third one because that's that salary cap coming. I can tell you now, after next season, uh Manford, the commissioner for the MMB, he's gonna try his his hardest to get him a salary cap. Y'all probably gonna have to do a lockout if y'all don't want him. I'm just saying.

SPEAKER_02:

Baseball hasn't had a salary cap for this long. But if you the other owners, you kind of looking at the Dodgers roster like, and you looking at Manfred, like, okay, something's gotta be something's gotta be done. We we can't continue to allow this. It's kind of what the NBA did with all of their, you know, their different rules now that they have in their new CBA trying to luxury tax stuff, yeah, to prevent Steve Bomber and the uh Golden State Warriors from just spending money on the luxury tax like it's nothing. Yeah, so MLB is going to uh they're gonna have to do something, even if it's not a hard salary cap, they're gonna have to create some type of rules in place to where it's going to prevent teams like the Dodgers, basically, just spending all this money.

SPEAKER_00:

Stack up on Air Rock. But uh next well, we'll start about next season when we get her. But now, after 162 plus games, baseball season is finally over. Uh, we'll get back to it in about April. But we gotta talk about Saturday night's main event. Uh honestly, like I watched it a little bit, but I I was I was locked into game seven, honestly. But I did know we got a couple new champions. Jay Cargill, she beat Tiffany Stratton. Uh, and CM Punk became the new world heavyweight champion over Jay Uso. Um, Dominic Mysterio, he retained his title, and Cody Rose, he retained his title as well. Uh, but what was your thoughts on Saturday Nights Man and Men? I'm sure you maybe checked it out after the fact or at least kept up with the results.

SPEAKER_02:

Uh my my thoughts is Drew McIntyre should have won. Uh and I I just ain't no a lot of people throw shade on Cody right now, talking about viewership and all that. And I don't that ain't that's not really my concern. I just feel like the sh the storyline with Cody right now is kind of boring. So I feel like, and also I feel like Drew deserves a world title run. He's he's been deserving of a world title run, but he they never pulled a plug on him. Hell, I remember one time they was doing like the he had beef with the bloodline and he was gonna take out every member of the bloodline, and I feel like that just went away. So he could he couldn't finish that storyline. Then Jacob got hurt, so that storyline couldn't get finished, and then he in these he keep having these world title opportunities, but he keeps losing them. So then it's pointing to the fact of all right, why y'all keep giving him world title shots if y'all not gonna allow him to win? Drew McIntyre should have won that championship and let Cody go beef with somebody else. Uh Jay Uso's getting a lot of hate on social media right there, and I could swear they was just in love with that man. He was like he was getting hate earlier in the year, but like I told you, when I was in the stands, you look around, everybody's doing the thing but me. But then online, he got he gets a lot of hate. And I'm trying to figure out where's where's all of this hate coming from? Because they complained about his moveset. Well, his moveset's been the same for all these years. What what's the problem now? I don't understand the hate. So I don't Dion, maybe you can explain it to me. Why they hate this man so much now?

SPEAKER_00:

I mean, I don't know. Maybe part, I mean, part of the AR trying to seem like they're trying to give him a little heel tendencies. I feel like so. Maybe that's part of it, but I I mean, I don't know. This no, you got some of these purest wrestling fans, they're like, if you're not a good technical wrestler, they don't like you. I don't know. To me, man, I don't care. You don't gotta be that good in the ring. All you gotta be is safe and believable with a good character. That's all I need. That's it. Storyline. Yep. That's all I need. Safe and believable. Uh, but some people, if you're not this five-star wrestler, if you're not a AJ Styles or you know Daniel Bryanson or Brian Danielson, whatever, however you want to call him. If you're not one of those type of players, one of those type of wrestlers, they don't like you. It's odd, but I I don't get it. But I think part of it is they are trying to give them a little heel tendencies. You can tell a heel turn is somewhat coming. They're trying to turn him into a Roman Reigns-like person, but we'll see how that plays out. We got war games coming up, and I have no idea who's gonna what the World Games match is gonna look like, so damn, you got a good point.

SPEAKER_02:

Your guess is good as mine when it comes to that. Also, Jay Gargill. I'm glad Jay Gargill finally took that bell off of Tiffany Straton. Tiffany Stran had a good run, though. Let's give her her flowers, let's give her her credit. She had a good run. They didn't give her you know a lot of different opponents.

SPEAKER_01:

You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02:

She followed Naya a couple times, she followed Jay a couple times. You know what I'm saying? I know she did have the um damn, why am I drawing up like a uh Trish Stratis? She did have that big match versus Trish Stratus and whatnot. But um, she, you know what I'm saying? She had the title down, and I'm glad she, I'm glad she had a long run. But I am excited to see what they do with Jay Cargill and see where they go now.

SPEAKER_00:

I agree 100%. But yeah, Saturday's main event, it was cool. But uh everybody's looking forward to the next Saturday night's main event, which is John Cena's final one in December. But before we slide out, we gotta talk about uh how they're gonna play up John Cena's final opponent. They announced during Saturday night's main event that they're gonna have a tournament to determine who is going to face John Cena. I think next Monday in Madison Scare Garden, it's uh Damien Priest versus Rusev. Let's be honest, Alistair Brack is probably gonna cost Damon Priest that match. And the next one is Seamus versus it's I I only draw on the blank on that one.

SPEAKER_02:

Ain't it uh Shinsuke?

SPEAKER_00:

Seamus versus Shinsuke, which should be one hell of a match. Uh I can't imagine either four of those guys are going to be John Cena's final opponent, but they haven't shown the bracket yet. They probably won't until they fully know how they want things to play out. But those are just the first two matches. We shall see how things play out. But how you feeling about them making it a bracket to determine John Cena's final opponent?

SPEAKER_02:

I actually like this idea. So I uh I I do like it, but ain't John Cena supposed to appear at Madison Square Gordon?

SPEAKER_00:

He is, he is, he'll be there. So do you think he's gonna wrestle? The way that the um the video package of them announcing it, they made it seem like he's not wrestling again until this match. But I he's gotta wrestle at Survivor Series. I'm assuming he's gonna have a match at Survivor Series, but the way they making it seem, he ain't fighting again until December 13th. Now I I don't know if that's the case. I feel like he's going to at least fight a Survivor Series. I don't know about Madison Square Garden, but he'll probably fight a Survivor Series.

SPEAKER_02:

They so it's also been rumors that he might some people on the inside are pushing for him to have another title run and then drop it at a certain night's main event. I don't think I I wouldn't mind the idea, but if that was the case, I don't think CM Punk should have been the one to win it. It should have been Jay Uso to win it. And then he Jay Uso could then turn and lose the title either at Madison Square Garden or at Survivor Service. That makes more sense than to put it on CM Punk and then have him lose it. So I don't at this point, I see I don't see that as an actual option right now. But they also talked about how uh like you it might be some W W it might be some uh Raw SmackDown NXT or you know T other. They said other, but you know, that's TNA. That's what that is, that's what that is.

SPEAKER_00:

TNA and um whatever the I forgot the the company they're uh triple A. Triple A. T it's gonna be, yeah. It ain't people still people instantly went edge, it ain't gonna be edge. Unless his contract is up, which I don't think it is, it ain't gonna be edge.

SPEAKER_02:

I don't think his contract's up until December, so that don't work. And then I know Jericho's contract Jericho's contract's not up until after December, I think. No, I think Jericho's is sometime in November.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I think I don't quote me. I wouldn't want him to be John Cena's final match, anyways. No, not not at all.

SPEAKER_02:

Like now, if there was a pop-up match at Saturday uh at uh Survivor Series, no with Madison Square Garden, yeah, then cool. That would be something different, but no. Um, but the TNA, it's gonna be TNA people, and it's probably gonna be what Mac Cardona, which is you knew used to be Zach Ryder or what's his Joe Hendry. Joe Hendry or uh used to be Dolph Zip. I can't think of his name now.

SPEAKER_00:

Nick Nimeth. Nick Nimeth, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

That's that's probably yeah, that's probably who it'd be. That's probably it on the TNA side. They might give somebody else a run, but it's gonna be, you know what I'm saying? That's gonna be it. But I don't want it to be Joe Hendry. Yeah, I don't either. Uh but he could get the final, but I don't want it to be him.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I don't I don't know who who's gonna win it, though. I'm interested to see how this bracket's gonna play out. Uh people that was in the video package, Don Mysterio, Carmelo Hayes, obviously Seamus, Shinsuke, uh Gunther, people pre-premium from the way the people are talking, it's Gunther's tournament to lose. I don't know. I mean, I wouldn't mind it being Gunther. I don't really want it to be, but if it's Gunther, that'd be cool, sure.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, if I had to do power ranges, who I'll well if I not power rings, but who I would want it to be. Gunther's probably he's probably third or fourth on my list.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Carmelo's Carmelo's one. Dominic is two. I think I would put Braun Breaker ahead of Gunther at this point. Yeah, I would put Braun Breaker at three, then Gunther would be the fourth. Because I want it to be somebody younger.

SPEAKER_00:

Exactly. And Gunther doesn't need the rub. He got the Goldberg rug. He had the world title for overyear, had the Intercontinental title for overyear. He doesn't necessarily need that. Bronson Reed would be would be a bad choice, neither.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

No, it wouldn't. But so we'll talk about Survivor Series when we get there, but we gotta talk about college basketball. We failed to, you know, hype up college basketball. But let's be honest, man. There's no stars in college basketball this year. Last year we had Cooper Flag. This year, I mean, we got AJ for BYU, but who else we got out there? He would be a bigger star if he didn't play for BYU. No offense. It's BYU. But outside of that, man, there's no real stars. You know, Purdue is coming in as the preseason number one. Um, before we talk about what we really need to talk about with college basketball, you know, anything, anything you looking forward to for college basketball?

SPEAKER_02:

I do want to see what the Boozer Twins do at Duke. And see, are like I want to see because I didn't watch him at high school. I don't watch high school basketball. I don't watch high school football. But I heard a lot about the boozer twins. So I want to see are they as good as everybody say they are? Of course, one of them is better. I don't I can't think of his name on top of my head. But uh AJ, I want to see where he is. Why did you why did BYU spend all this money to get you? That's what it boils down to. Because one, I'm not used to BYU making that type of play, especially, especially in basketball. So I want to see why BYU spent all this money to get AJ to come after her.

SPEAKER_00:

And BYU is an interesting school, they have a lot of money. The problem, I wouldn't say the problem, but the thing with BYU, they have some odd rules as a student there. And I just know a college student, they're not following them rules. If you guys are not familiar, one of the rules at BYU, if you're a student, is you can't have premarital sex. That's a college campus. And but like it's it's a thing, like you you will get kicked off the campus, kicked out of school if you're caught having premarital sex. It's a big deal. There was a quarterback that was playing for BYU. He got accused of some stuff, but it turned out it was consensual. But because but because he got caught having premarital sex, he got kicked off of he got kicked off of B out of BYU school. So that's all right. They have a lot of money, but they have a lot of rules. And I can't imagine 18 90-year-old kids following that rule. But hey, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you know they got they come a big enough check that they willing to go a couple months without without that. Well, who knows?

SPEAKER_02:

Man, the more money you get in that age, the more the more stuff you want to do. And you know by stuff what I mean.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. So we'll see, but uh yeah, BYU, they looking, they're looking pretty decent, but we gotta talk about it's early, but it's probably more than likely gonna be a top 10 matchup. Louisville comes in at low at 11. Uh, that team in blue, they are at 9. Florida did lose, so I imagine by the time the game happens on Tuesday, November 11th, it'll be a top 10 matchup between Louisville and that team in blue. It's early, it's November 11. Usually this game happens around late December, around my birthday. But they're happening at November 11, third game of the season. How you feeling about it being so early? And how you feeling about the game as a whole? Because it's gonna be it's a lot of hype. The Buzz started buzz. Uh, Louisville played today, they won't play again the Tuesday. Kentucky plays, the team of blue plays tomorrow. They don't play again until Tuesday. How you how you feeling?

SPEAKER_02:

Let's focus on that. Let's go to the point, like you said. They're playing, they're playing on my birthday, where typically they will play on around your birthday. Yeah uh a whole month difference. If not more, uh a month isn't changed. I don't understand why this game is so early. Nope. I I don't know if it's television contracts, because you know, ESBN owns the rights to every damn thing, even though they can't get their sound right on their damn L. They own the contracts to everything, so if that's why we this game got pushed earlier, because I know Louisville this year, Louisville and Kentucky both play Indiana, Louisville plays Memphis, because of course Kentucky got all of their games that they play.

SPEAKER_00:

Kentucky plays to St. John's.

SPEAKER_02:

So maybe all of these games got pushed. This game got pushed up, so all these other games can get done. But how I feel about this game. Like I told you in Texas when uh I think it was earlier this week or last week. The thing that's gonna concern me all season about Louisville is is the three-point shooting. Because the simple fact this team is not solely based on shooting, but that's gonna be that's the biggest key for us going to win in games. Them three-point shots do not fall. What you gonna do? Is somebody gonna be able to attack, put their head down and attack the basket? Or the bear is gonna be able to score. Now, Pryor did come back tonight, played for the first time since last year. So hopefully that helped us get some get some post, uh, some paint touches. And then we got the big Egyptian uh Peru. He looked good today. Yeah, no, well, not Peru, but Peru, but I thought uh Khalifa. Khalifa, yeah, yeah, yeah. He he can get the ball, he can get the ball in the post, and he can he's a good passer. So maybe he could get some other people some open shots. But going against the team in blue, let's be real, the team in blue is gonna be good. Everybody's talking to that because they lost to Georgetown. They was missing, they some of their I'm gonna say they point their starting point going, and another Goran was out. So they you know, you know what I mean? It's go it's going to happen. You could lose to Georgetown because Georgetown, they got a new head coach. Patrick Ewan ain't there no more. No shade, the Patrick Ewan. No shade. But it's Cooley now. Cooley, Cooley's at one hell of a coach. So Georgetown, if you you give them a little window, they're gonna win some games. So, you know what I'm saying? So I don't I didn't want to take too much into that game. The Louisville, so a Louisville Kentucky game is going to be.

SPEAKER_00:

I don't feel like it's gonna be telling of the season because it's so early. No, it's not gonna be telling the season, but it's just such a huge matchup, so huge early. It's from my perspective. It is no lower than the number two best college basketball rivalry in the whole nation. Only one you can even give to me is Duke, no, the Duke, North Carolina. And then I would argue they play twice a year. We play once a year. But hey, it's going, it's going to be exciting. Early in the season, I'm sure all the networks are going to be there. The ticket prices are ridiculous. I wasn't going to go. I'd just be interested in the tickets. I think to get in the door, it's$100 to get in the door. You're going to be sitting up there next to Jesus.

SPEAKER_02:

I'm sorry. You touch the roof. Let me tell you, because my my people was just going to buy me the tickets. And then they looked at the prices and they was like, nah, well, I'll just cook for you at the crib. And I was like, that sounds good to me. You know what I mean? That's fine. Because oh I like you. That game, I would rather watch it on TV than to be in the building because I want to be able to see everything.

SPEAKER_00:

It's intense too.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, it's it's personal. Because you might have to knock one of them UK fans out. They get too they get too looking.

SPEAKER_00:

Anyways. Yeah, so it should be exciting. Uh, something I will want to mention. Uh, I know again, game is early. Uh, Josh, uh, Lou AD, I don't know the team in blues AD. I have I have a suggestion for you guys that I came up with. Uh, if y'all gonna have the game this early, why don't y'all move it to like a Monday, Tuesday, Thanksgiving week? Because that's the same week that Louisville plays Kentucky in football. I would have no the women play on Monday, the men play on Tuesday, um, soccer's a little too late in the season for that, volleyball's a little bit too late in the season for that. But I would just make that whole week, Thanksgiving week. It's already Thanksgiving week. You all are gonna be spending time with your family. A lot of families is divided between Louisville and Toyota fans. You might as well put it that week and just make a whole week of hate week, and then you cap it off with the football game on Saturday. That's what I would do. I mean, I'm not an AD, I would like to be an A D, but Josh, if you if y'all listening, do that. And also, we're blue, wear red. No, I like can we do that too? Can we like have Kentucky? Can y'all wear y'all blue? And then we wear our red on all games, not just you know, basketball. Do it in football as well. But that's just my suggestion. I just wanted to put that out there, you know. You you like my suggestion, or how you feeling?

SPEAKER_02:

That's actually a great suggestion. Yeah, play that. You're right. Play the uh the football games on Saturday, play the men's game on Monday or Tuesday, to play the women's game on Tuesday or Wednesday. You know, I mean call it a day. That's that's actually a great idea. And like I'm sitting here trying to think of what other sport is going on because like you said, soccer's too late, volleyball's too late. Uh are they doing feel like it right now? Look, I know you know whatever they uh lacrosse. I think it's lacrosse going on right now.

SPEAKER_00:

Run that that week too, shoot. Yeah, yeah, just do something. That's what I would do, you know. Tennis, swim meet, golf me, uh, crawl, do something. Make it a whole week of hate. That's what I would like. But that's my suggestion. But uh, I'm looking forward to Tuesday. It's gonna be a great game. Top 10 matchup, I'm assuming, because Florida did lose. We'll see how far they drop. I'll assume that we're gonna move up.

unknown:

But we gotta.

SPEAKER_00:

They're swimming.

SPEAKER_02:

They swimming at Kentucky. Louis would just be Kentucky and swimming on November 6th. Yeah, move that back to the end two. Shoot.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, yeah, just move, just hey, a whole week of hate. But we gotta talk about the football side of things. In the college football rankings, college football committee had their first college football playoff rankings. Uh, not a lot of discrepancies, personally. There you know, there was a big issue. A lot of people are not happy where Notre Dame is in comparison to Miami and Louisville. But outside of that, I'm not too upset. I know there were some people upset that they feel like Texas AM and or Indiana should have been over Ohio State because they had they felt like they had better wins and a better resume. But outside of that, I don't have no issues. I do understand the Notre Dame, what the hell's going on, why they so high. Miami beat them, uh, why they so that much further than Louisville and Miami. Let's just face it, guys. It's the logo. It's the logo, but outside of that, I don't have too much discrepancy. Louisville, uh the ACC did get screwed. Looks like there'll be a one-bid league this year. We'll see how things play out. But outside of that, I don't got much issues with that. I just need Louisville to keep winning.

SPEAKER_02:

So, big issues, no. I don't have no big issues. Smaller issues if you want to nickpick. I am one of those people who think Indiana, Texas, and AM should have been the above Ohio State. But that's kind of, like you said, that's kind of nickpicking. At the end of the day, all of that stuff will play out in the long run. I also think BYU should have been above O Miss. Uh Notre Dame, like you said, it's the logo. Same thing with Texas being that high in Oklahoma. It's the logo. Utah should have been above them. I I from my perspective, I think Utah should have been at least above uh Texas and Oklahoma. Well, Notre Dame, Texas, and Oklahoma. I also think Virginia should have been above them. Louisville, like I told you at the beginning of the season, the thing with Louisville is their nine conference was a bunch of, besides James Madison, was a bunch of what you know I'm saying.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, Eastern Kentucky and Bowling Green.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, you played you played a bunch of cupcakes and then you lost to Virginia at home. Yep. It's gonna look, you didn't, you didn't play, you played too hard. You play, I say three hard teams because I give James Madison credit. But I know a lot of people ain't gonna give James Madison credit, but you play three hard teams, you beat two of them, you lost one, you lost one at home. You did go through the road.

SPEAKER_00:

That Pittsburgh game looking a little bit better and better than that.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, Pittsburgh do look better now. Because Pittsburgh now is ranked. So yeah, you're right. I give you give credit for the Pittsburgh game. But at the time, you beat the number two, number two team in the country on the road and gave them the business to begin with. But it's the the reason Notre Dame and Texas and Oklahoma's that high is the same reason Louisville's the word they are. It's the logo. They don't put the same respect on Louisville that they put on Notre Dame and all of that.

SPEAKER_01:

Yep.

SPEAKER_02:

That's just what it boils down to. I know, like I said, I know Utah got two losses. I just when I watch Utah, I think they're better than Texas and Oklahoma another day. So maybe that's my eye test. But from my perspective, I feel like you I feel like Utah, Virginia should have been higher. Put Utah, Virginia up at 9 to 10, then bring the other three down.

SPEAKER_00:

Yep. But yeah, a lot of this is gonna play itself out. Uh College Game Day is gonna be in Lubbock for the BYU Texas Tech game. So nothing that's gonna play out. That should be again. That game is gonna be a 12. Uh Louisville plays California. They are a decent team. They have a good freshman quarterback, not a great one. They're five and four. But as I was saying a little bit earlier, uh ACC look like it's a one-bid league. Louisville has to win out. We got Virginia Tech, we got California Clips and SCU, and then we end the season with Kentucky. It's gonna be tough. I believe we can. Um obviously, I'm nervous. There's not like a team that are more nervous than others, but I'm nervous about all four games at this point because all four games is crucial. We cannot lose any game. We gotta win out. And we need a little help to get to the ACC championship game as well. So, but I know the ACC commissioner is sick to a stomach the way things played out last week because he lost Miami and Georgia Tech.

SPEAKER_02:

Mm-hmm. If he as a as the crazy thing, one what one week can do. Because if Georgia Tech and Miami both win, if Georgia Tech, Miami, Virginia, and Louisville, we all all of them win out, then two of them gonna make it to the ACC championship game.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, the four champ team four bids.

SPEAKER_02:

I was gonna say, you go, you probably gonna out of those four teams, you probably gonna get three of them. At least. You gonna get three of them. But Georgia Tech lose, Miami lose. That changes you now. You went from a possible four or three or four team league, league bid, so now you you're gonna get one. Yep. That's it. That's all I'll see y'all later. Adios. Yep.

SPEAKER_00:

And maybe some chaos happens, and you can maybe get the runner up in the ACT championship game. But as of right now, you getting one. Hopefully. Hopefully it's Louisville. But uh outside of BYU Tech uh Texas Tech, nothing too crazy. Uh obviously, Indiana, they're going up against Penn State, but Penn State Penn State is nobody now. That would have been a big game. Oregon plays Iowa, uh, Texas Indian plays Missouri. Uh speaking of Virginia, they do play Wake Forest. They've been uh playing with fire a lot. Normally the big game of the week, LSU in Alabama, but LSU they uh have fired their coach. So not not this is a decent week, but I'm gonna I'm gonna watch it anyways.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh yeah, I mean, I'm gonna, you know what I'm saying? I'm gonna watch the games. Uh it if the app if the app sound works, but I'll probably be on, you know, Fox, CBS, you know, CBS boards or whatnot, whatever the case may be. Uh Cheddar, uh, I am probably gonna watch San Diego State in Hawaii. I don't know, I'll be at the comedy show. Damn, I ain't gonna I ain't gonna have no late night college football this week.

SPEAKER_00:

Well, oh, we enjoy well you'll enjoy the comedy show just as much as you would uh late-night college football, but we gotta talk about uh professional football. And the trade deadline was Tuesday, and usually the NFL trade deadline is a lot of smoke and no fire, a lot usually more boring than the NBA trade line, where there's always a lot of people moving. But there was some movement for some teams. Um uh with my Cowboys, they traded for Logan Wilson, a guy that wasn't playing for the worst defense in the league, but no, he wanted it off. Solid player. We'll see if he can do something. But they also got Quentin Williams, the defensive tackle for the New York Jets, who was doing a wholesale trade. We'll get to that in a little second. Um Rasheed Shaheed, receiver for the Saints, he's going to the Seahawks. Uh Phillips from Miami is going to uh the Eagles. Um, and then the Colts. They made the biggest splash where they traded AD Mitchell receiver in two first round picks for Sauce Gardner. Now, Sauce is a good corner, was uh had a great rookie year, had a great two first two seasons. He ain't been playing the same as he was his first two seasons. But I gotta say, no, we'll talk a little bit about the coaches here in a second. But I gotta say, two first rounds for Sauce Gardner is a steep price from our perspective. I I I maybe would have gave up one, but two is pretty steep from our man. And A.D.

SPEAKER_02:

Mitchell. Uh man, I was uh Hunter, he did the pod, he did uh live draft draft reaction. I think it was last last year. Um me and he was talking about it, and I said, look, South Gardner, maybe a one in the third, maybe a one in a second, maybe two seconds, but two first round drafties for South Gordon? That's a big spec, that's a big number, but maybe he can return the form of, like you said, those first two years, but this year, he ain't playing like he ain't playing like he worked two first-round draft bees. And maybe it's because of the team around him. That could be the case. So maybe you put you put him on a winning team, he might do better. But that track, yeah, that also says that they invested in Daniel Jones. Like Daniel Jones is their quarterback.

SPEAKER_00:

That's what it that's what it's saying. They they invest in Daniel Jones and they feel like they are a championship contender. I I I mean, I guess Charlie Earth says she listens to the pod. I guess uh Chris Ballard, the GM for the Indianapolis Colts. I guess they listened to the pod and heard what I said. Like, maybe we are championship contenders. And they started, they went to go make a big move, but two first rounds is crazy. Did they see Daniel Jones play last week? Yeah, but I mean, think about it. They what six turnovers and they still had a chance to win? That ain't gonna happen all the time.

SPEAKER_02:

You turn the ball over that me and damn, you're gonna lose games, and that's what James Daniel Jones had, what five of those turnovers?

SPEAKER_00:

I don't remember. It was a lot, though. He looked rough. I was a little upset. Like, damn, I was hyping you up, and you're gonna show do me like that.

SPEAKER_02:

He had five of them. And what did I kept what I've been saying all year? Daniel Jones is gonna turn back into Daniel Jones. That's what he's gonna do. So you invest. If the if the Kansas City Chiefs traded two first-round draft picks for South South South Gardner, it's different. It was if the Buffalo Bills did it and they got Josh Allen, they're gonna be picking in the 20s anyway, 30s, maybe. It's cool for it's cool for them to do it. You the coach, you that invested in Daniel Jones? Did you did you watch him the last game? And you sure you got a quarterback of the future? Doing those trades saying that it says that you believe Daniel Jones is your quarterback for the next three or four years. That's what their trade says.

SPEAKER_00:

This also tells me, like, is they got a good ALC championship, but they if they don't make it to the divisional round, it's a failure. That's how they see it. They should see it. I really it really should be AC ALC championship game, but I I was hyping them up and saying, yeah, they championship contenders. I didn't think they should go much further than the divisional round, especially since the Buffalo Bills showed back up. But they they they they got they gotta make it to the divisional round, probably the AFC championship game to make that trade worth it. And you I don't know, man. Did John did tell you you got you got a big load on your back now? You got you carrying a lot now.

SPEAKER_02:

Two first round draft picks is crazy for a team who's got a questionable quarterback. And again, if it was a different team doing that for Sauce Gardner, it would make more, if it would make more sense. Hell, even Baltimore doing it, it would make sense. Because at least you know you got a quarterback, a team that's not for certain about their quarterback trading two first-round draft picks.

SPEAKER_00:

Uh you might not be for certain, but Charlie Arsay and uh Chris Ballard, the GM, they clearly for certain they gonna pay that man probably good 35, 30 that's crazy. I mean, that's the a for that's a million quarterback. That's what they get. He ain't he ain't getting the 50. He knows he shouldn't get you, you be a fool to give that man 50 plus. That's crazy. I'm gonna give him no more than 40. 45 if he's strong army, but I'm really a I'm I'm hitting with 38. I'm dropping a 38 mil contract on his desk and hoping he signs it. But they they believe in him. They believe in us. So we'll see. Uh the coach, they do play the Chiefs this week. They better not get blown out. Or is it this week? I know they play the Chiefs soon. It might not be this week, it might be next week.

SPEAKER_02:

Let me check that one.

SPEAKER_00:

And I think they play the Falcons.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, they play the Falcons.

SPEAKER_00:

They play the Falcons this week, and I think for week eleven.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, that one I you know, I don't I'll be keeping up with them code schedule because I don't know.

SPEAKER_00:

Week 12, they play the Chiefs. So in a couple weeks, they play the Chiefs. Y'all better not get blown out. Yeah, it better be a competitive game. Y'all really win.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, you know they can get blown out.

SPEAKER_00:

But I don't know, the NFL trade deadline, there was actually some smoke. It was to the uh actually some fire to the smoke. So I was excited to see that. Uh outside of that, no, none, you know, your Tennessee Titans ain't they they they ain't making no moves at the trade deadline.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, they traded uh I forgot if they traded somebody, got a conditional pick, blah blah blah. But we gotta talk about y'all. Y'all using them assets that y'all traded to it once y'all traded for traded michael parsons. Now y'all out here trading for another another defensive tackle. Yep. Make it make sense, D uh.

SPEAKER_00:

Could y'all just pay Michael Parsons? They could have, they could have. Uh but what the Cowboys did, they moved their strength to having one dominant defensive end to the the middle of our uh D-line is strong. We had Kenny Clark now with Quentin Williams. You're not running up the middle on us. Now I can't can't say too much about the outside, but they moved the strength to the inside. They still do have three first-round picks the next two years. Uh, they don't have a second rounder next this upcoming draft. I'm not mad at it. I like it, but I mean the biggest issue with our um with our team is the secondary. Maybe they hope that, you know, D-line helps the the front line, helps the back end. They get a little bit more pressure, they don't have to cover as long. That's my hope. But with 3-5-1, I think we have like a 7% chance to make the playoffs. So the fat lady hasn't sung yet. She might be in the back starting to put her dress on, but we still have a chance. I'm hoping it helps. We did take an embarrassing loss on Monday, but hey, I'm still gonna ride with my team. Uh, I think we could slide into a wildcard spot still. Uh, but Clinton Williams is a good player, and we still we got him for two years. We not it's not just a um one-year rental. We got him and Clinton Clark for two years. Uh, we got also Logan Wilson. We'll see how he looks. It I'm excited. They got me, they got me a little bit high, got me on that hopium a little bit. We just three, five, and one. If we had one, if we had beat the Cardinals, I would feel a lot better. But we're three, five, and one. We'll see what happens.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, I just don't. I'm just gonna say it again. Y'all could have just paid played Michael Parsons and y'all wouldn't have to be trading for people. Hell, y'all could have went gas house gardener. Because you at least I got a quarterback. But that's neither her. That's neither her nor there. I ain't gonna keep, I ain't even gonna keep beating the drug, dog. I ain't even gonna keep beating the drill. It hurts.

SPEAKER_00:

But we'll see. Uh, we got the NFL Pick'ems, though. Let's see. Well, how how how we doing?

SPEAKER_02:

Well, you because of last week, you getting three right, because we've been tired for the past two weeks. But now you have take you have taken the lead on me, which again says a lot because I picked the Tennessee every week. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I ain't trying to throw you under the bus, but I'm just saying. I've been struggling this year. Yeah, it should it shouldn't be that close. But because my Tennessee Titans is on a bye, as well as your Cowboys is on a bat this week. This week too. So let's start off with this one. Patriots versus the Buccaneers.

SPEAKER_00:

I got the Buccaneers. They uh, you know, people was crowned the Buccaneers as the Super Bowl chimps the first couple weeks. They didn't cooled off a little bit, but that's because they all their receivers then got hurt, but I still believe in the Bucks over the Patriots.

SPEAKER_02:

Uh I'm gonna go to Pats. I don't necessarily, I ain't 100% sure on that, but uh I'ma I'm gonna go I'ma go with it. I ain't 100% sure, but I'm gonna go with it. Next. Let's go. What is Falcons versus Coates? They're gonna be playing at 9 30 in the morning, they stay overseas.

SPEAKER_00:

Uh yeah, they in Germany. Uh the Falcons is the best, most unconsistent team out there. They have the ability to be dominant on the offense end with B. John Robson, Drake London, and Kyle Pix. But Michael Penix has not been consistent. Kirk Cousins, he said he was looking for a job. He had a job interview last week and he bombed it. I'm gonna go with the coach to bounce back.

SPEAKER_02:

I'm gonna go with the Falcons. You say he bombed the interview. It's crazy. All right, uh, Rams versus 49ers.

SPEAKER_00:

Rams, they are one of the Super Bowl contenders this year.

SPEAKER_02:

I am going to go with the Rams as well. Uh Steelers versus Chargers.

SPEAKER_00:

Steelers is hot. Kinda. I'm gonna go with the Steelers. Ooh.

SPEAKER_02:

Ooh, I'm not gonna lie. Like you said, the Steelers is hot. But the Trojas is the Chargers that that's a great point. Because I was about to say, they a good team, but then I called myself and was like, they also be laying duds. But I think this is gonna be one of the games where they don't. I'm gonna go with the Chargers. I also want to point out real quick before we get to this last game. I said that last week I was like, man, I think uh the Cardinal the Cardinals was gonna beat y'all, but I I ain't had a guts. I went with y'all, and that's what I did. I just want to point that out before we get to this last game. Eagles versus Packers.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, that's gonna be a good game. I like the Packers. I like the Packers. The Eagles. Uh surprisingly, AJ Brown did not get traded. So I'm curious to see how he's gonna feel. I think he's hurt though. And I seen Saquon, he's also on the injury report list as well. So we'll see how that plays out.

SPEAKER_02:

You said this was gonna be a good game. Is it gonna be a good game or a close game?

SPEAKER_00:

Close game.

SPEAKER_02:

Okay, because I don't have faith in neither one of these teams currently. Because they kind of like the Chargers, they show these glimpses, but then they also show these glimpses of where they inconsistent. And they not a good yeah. So I'm gonna go with the Eagles. But this really to me, this is really a tasso game. It could either either team could do it. Because like I said, Jordan Jordan Love, which I think this is the Packers problem is Jordan Love is inconsistent, so it'll make it look like the rest of the team's inconsistent. And then Jalen Hurts, one week he could he could throw up for 300 yards. And next week, my boy can't throw for 70. So I don't know what I don't really know what to make of the Eagles or the Packers at this point, but I'm gonna go with the Eagles.

SPEAKER_00:

Yep, so but that'll do it for another episode of From My Perspective. Uh uh, please like, please subscribe.
