But again, please like, please subscribe. But you guys all know that I'm joined by the man, the myth, the legend, Titans fan himself, Captain Hater. How you doing?
SPEAKER_03:Hey man, what the dude is. You already know the vibes, your boy, Mr. Bear. I can't say your name up on this plot. Might not put you to mouth. What's up, dude?
SPEAKER_00:Hey, I'm I'm doing good, man. I feel like golly, like Thanksgiving? It seems like it was a fault a long time ago, but it doesn't at the same time. Like, dang, we are already in December. But let's go ahead and get right into it. Uh, we had war games. We're just gonna have we're gonna have to get get through war games because we got a lot to get through, especially in the NBA. But let's go ahead and get through war games. I did not see ESPN's rating, but Q. What is Q's rating of a Survivor Series War Games? A C. Let's see. I feel like a C. I don't disagree. It's about a C. I was thinking C plus or just a solid C. But let's go ahead and get into it. Uh, first match, obviously, it was the Women's Warrior Games match. And the baby faces won. The baby faces won a good match, had some great spots. War game matches always have some great spots. Shout out to Last Legends, and congratulations to Last Legends that she was uh got engaged with her boyfriend Trick Williams. So congratulations to her. But last relationship, she had a good show when she came in last. That she, you know, they people that come in last, that's a big spot. So she came in last, had a big spot. But you know, it it was a War Games match, so it was interesting stuff, but man, there was no story. There was no story in the tool. So I really I don't know. How did you feel about the Women's War Games match?
SPEAKER_03:I feel like it was the best match of the night, if I'm being honest. I feel like part of the reason that War Games galaxy was because of this match. Because it because it brought up the rest of the core. Uh EO is gonna be Eo. She's gonna she's gonna give you the trash can stunt, and she's gonna keep, you know, keep uh evolving that. I do like when she came down from the trash can and um Becky Lynch had backed up so she wouldn't get hit, and she is like Becky Lynch realized, oh, everybody else is down there, and I'm standing up. And the rest of other teams over, oh, let me go on and have tail it over here. And then I like, you know what I'm saying? I did I feel like that. Becky Lynch played it, her facial expression played it amazing to me. Um, like you said, shout out to Last Flash and she did her thing. Naya's gonna do her thing. Naya gets hate. Naya and Jay Uso get so much hate on the internet. It's like ridiculous. But anyways, but trying to, you know what I'm saying? Naya did her thing. Um so yeah, nah, I personally think it was the best match of the night, but I feel like this is what I think for me.
SPEAKER_01:My third year, second year in a row saying that the women's war games was the best match.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, it was, I mean, it was the best match last year, too. So last time last time I think the men's war game had a better match is when uh when Sami Zayn and the Bloodline was not not the not the first one, but the not not that not the last one, but the one where Sami Zayn had to prove himself.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, no. Other than that, I ain't that's the last time the men had a better Warriors match.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, so I would give him credit. But I did uh I did bury the lead. Q he has another victory over me. Uh he scored 13 points. I scored 10. So congratulations, Q. Another victory in the uh PLE Pick'ems. He's killing me. I think this is like his third one in a row. I need to figure out I need to figure something out.
SPEAKER_03:I need to figure something out. I think it's two. I think it's two. But uh, I know can we talk about the wrong real quick as far as the women go? Go ahead. Um, so they had the they had a um what EO and Aria came out saying they were on the show that the tag team titles. Um Charlotte and Alexa came out saying, that's cute, that's sweet. But here's the thing. We ain't got our rematch yet. So I'm gonna we're gonna have to get ours first, and then y'all can get y'all. And then Rhea was like, nah, we're gonna get ours, and then Charlotte was like, all right, bet. Let's just fight tonight and see who wins. I think that was dope. But I also like that it was a non non-contest because of the simple fact that um damn, why can't I think Bailey and Lara Bicuria, not uh that's right. Yeah. Uh Lara ran out, and then also the Judgment Day ran out, and then Judgment Day stood tall at the end, but Liv Morgan uh Roxanne had a title, but then she gave it to Liv, and Liv was like, nah, you get it, and raised both of their hands. Uh I think they finally actually, what we've been saying for I don't know, a year and a half, two, pay attention to the women's tag team type titles and actually putting some effort and some juice behind it. So I I'm I I think it's dope, and I'm excited to see how they play it out.
SPEAKER_00:Yep. I am too, I am too. Uh let's go ahead and move over to the next match. Um Johnson's last PLE. He has a hundred PLE wins. He couldn't get win one-on-one as Dom takes back the Intercontinent title. Pretty good match. I believe their match on Raw was a little bit better. This one had a lot of shenanigans into it. Uh Rox and Perez, Raquel Rodriguez, they they came in. Finn Balor came in. Um, Dom, he faked the injury, did a pretty good job faking the injury. And you uh buried the lead a little bit, but Liv Morgan, she made an official comeback. Um when she slapped Dom at first, I was confused. I was like, what that makes I didn't think it would make any sense. I was like, why would why would he do that? That was like, I don't know. I was confused at first, then she hugged John. It was a double turn. Bada beam, bada boom. Dom hits the 6-1-9, gets the win in his hometown. He gets the intercontinental title back. John Cena loses, but he gets, you know, gets a little standing ovation on his way out. And we only got him one more time. We'll talk about that in a second, but you know, how you your thoughts on Dom getting that victory and the whole shenanigans that happen?
SPEAKER_03:Like you, like you said last five, that's the reason this happened. It would happen for uh that the Raw happened so that they had this match here, it set it up. Uh, but also, like you said, their match on Raw was the better of the two matches. Now, this is just my thoughts. I actually like, especially if they're gonna have Raquel and uh Roxanne go after the women's tag team championships and then live, you know, go after the uh women the Raw's women's championship. I think they should keep the judgment day together a little bit longer.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, but they've been they've been teasing these little breakups for like for years. Yeah. So what is it? I I agree. They should keep they should keep them together. They're stronger than ever. If anything, you know, just bring in some new members or something, kick up Finn and JD and bring in two other people. That's how you know.
SPEAKER_03:My thing is I think they should keep it like this for a little bit longer and let Finn go after the World Heavyweight Championship, he's gonna lose it. You know what I'm saying? Like he gonna lose the title, man. Like you, you know what I'm saying? After this whole CM Punk and Braun Burker, because he said they gonna wrestle the first week of Raw because they no more PLEs.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:I don't know. That also makes me wonder why is the Saturday night's main event so soon in December? Shouldn't it be the next week since ain't no more PLEs? But anyways, that's neither here nor there. I after, because I don't think Braun Burker's gonna win it either. I think CM Punk's gonna continue to win it. So I think Stan Ballard should go after the, he should go on a little run and uh compete for the championship at Royal Roman. Of course, he's gonna lose it. Like I said, but it would give the, you know, keep keep Finn away from the rest of the group for a little bit, let him do his own thing while Dom continues to go over his intercontinental run and then have the women of the Judgment Day go after their separate titles. JD'd be alright, he could just be there. You know what I'm saying? Like he'd just be there. But you know, it may watching that match made me, and then of course the following Monday night round made me want to keep the judgment day together with John Cena. I wish the match had I wish it had a little more umph to it. Not like it wasn't a bad, it wasn't a bad match.
SPEAKER_00:Do you think that fake in injury angle kind of bought it down for you? Because it brought it down for me a little bit.
SPEAKER_03:It did bring it down for me, but it also was good once it once it played out. But like you said, it did it kind of did bring it down. But once I seen the women once I once I saw the women getting around, I said, oh. He faking the injury. Okay. Because at first I thought he really was at one point I thought he really was injured. But I kept looking for the X and I never saw the X, so I was like, uh, I don't think he's really injured here. But yeah, nah, the the injury gave rank again a little bit.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. Alright, so let's get to the John Cena stuff. Um we found out on Monday. We know who the final two men are going to be fighting for to get a chance to fight John Cena in his last watch. I believe that match is Friday, if I'm not mistaken. But it's LA Knight and Gunter. Q. Give me one reason why LA Knight is gonna win this match. One reason?
SPEAKER_03:Because the fans have been wanting him a rent. And like that's that's basically it. The fans won't the fans want it to be LA Knight because no nobody wanted to be gunter. Yeah, because everybody knew it was going to be gun. That's all the reason I got. That's all I got for you. If that ain't do it for you, bro, that's why I don't know. You feel me? I don't know. That's all I get.
SPEAKER_00:Oh man. So obviously, more than like it looks like it's gonna be Gunther. I I think it's crazy now, again, Twitter, unless you start digging real deep, it's hard to tell if things is real or not. But it looks like John Cena's dad, John Cena Sr., was like, man, I don't think Gunther should get the la get this match. So I don't know. I I'm just kind of disappointed it's gonna be Gunther. I'm just really I and I don't necessarily would like it to be LA Knight just because of how old he is, but I would rather it be LA Knight than Gunther at this point in time. I think it'll be better.
SPEAKER_03:The thing with LA Knight is if it is LA Knight, at least he has something to point to. And his WWE run. Because he done got passed over for title, for actual WWE title opportunities over and over again. He he done got passed over for the Royal Rumble when he when he was over. The fans loved him. Before they look, before everybody fell in love with Jay, everybody was in love with LA Knight, and LA Knight's momentum still continued to run. Yep. So I can see why, I can see the possibility or reason why, you know what I'm saying, people want LA Knight, but let's be real, we I know it's gonna be gone.
SPEAKER_00:On a percentage of one to 100, what's the percentage you what's the percentage of chance you give LA Knight? 20. 20, yeah.
SPEAKER_03:And I think that's five, but I'm surprised you gave it 20. I was gonna give it five. Only reason I'm giving it 20 is because maybe Triple H has said before, maybe the easy booking is probably the best booking, but he's also he also NBA is shocking people and surprising people.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, you're right.
SPEAKER_03:But then but uh same thing with LA Knight. What if it it is LA Knight, but then LA Knight turns heal?
SPEAKER_00:Like The Rock comes out. Like I said, if LA Knight was well, he's like probably 43, if he was what five, six years younger, I'd be okay with it. Because Gunther, he's like 37, 38, something like that in his mid to late 30s, so yeah, it was no good.
SPEAKER_03:There's no good option. Out of the final four, the best option was solo. And you laughed at me last week, but solo was the best option of the final four.
SPEAKER_00:They ruined that. They ruined that last.
SPEAKER_03:It should have been solo. But yeah, nah. Uh either way, it's either way, it's going to be underwhelming. Yeah. Which kind of like something else we're gonna get to on this match core. Either way, it's gonna be underwhelming.
SPEAKER_00:So yeah, so speaking of underwhelming, uh, we'll we go ahead. We gotta go ahead and get through this uh match or get through this show. Stephanie Valkyrie, she defeated Nikki Bella. It was a so-so match. I mean, you know, it was just you guys, you gotta showcase Stephanie Vacare. Nikki Bella, I mean, she's she's she's not a bad wrestler. They don't have much chemistry, you can tell. But uh, well, how you feel? It was it was a so-so. But shout out to Stephanie Valkyrie.
SPEAKER_03:I think that storyline and that storyline needed more time to cook. When Nikki uh was wrong, I think it was raw. And she she basically when she officially turned hill and had her, and she was standing over her on top of the ramp or whatnot, they should have that probably should have happened like a week earlier or two, and then let the build continue from there. I feel like if I feel like if the build was better, this match wouldn't have felt like it wouldn't have felt flat. Because like you said, the match the match wasn't like a technical masterpiece, but it also wasn't a match full of a but a bunch of botches, neither. You know what I mean? So if the storyline was better, it probably would have made this match feel more important. I think that's what what the problem with this match was, it didn't feel important.
unknown:No.
SPEAKER_03:It didn't feel like it actually, this match didn't feel like it mattered for Stephanie. Especially since you knew that Stephanie was probably gonna win this match. You knew Stephanie was gonna win, but and they also didn't give Nick Nikki Bella enough time to embrace the heel tactics in the heel side. So that's why it's well the the storyline didn't make this match feel flat. It didn't feel important, it didn't feel like a big game, especially because you you compete in with two War Games matches in the John Cena's last PLE match. You you gotta make that the next match, the other match on this card gotta feel like something. Yep. Not just say we're gonna throw this on her.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I agree. I agree. So obviously, disappointing match. It was there. I don't like to call matches piss break matches, but I mean that's kind of what it was, unfortunately. But let's go ahead and move on to the main event: the men's war game matches, when men's war game match, uh, the heels won. Now I was I started to say it pre-pod, but I stopped myself because I wanted to say it now. War games, Royal Rumbles, Money in the Banks. Usually, to me, they have like a floor of how good bad they could be. Because they're at the very least entertaining because of the gimmick. Again, this was entertaining because of the gimmick. You had some nice little sequence. Uh, it was interesting to see Brock Lesnar first time in the War Games match, and then they said it on the announcement, they said it when he came out, this is his first time he's been in the match with a partner since like 2004. So that was interesting. He had some interesting spots. But didn't say it during when we talked about the women's, didn't have they didn't have a story, and probably the probably the biggest reason why that I didn't like both war game matches because they didn't have the shark cage. The shark cage took away a lot. Because I think about when you think about the shark cage, you think about was it last year when you had Roman Reigns and CM Punk having an ego off? That was interesting. They had the cameras going into them and they just in the cage now staring at each other. Now I think about a couple years ago, back when Sammy Zayn was trying to prove himself. Uh Roman stopped Jimmy to go for going in there and told Sammy to go first. Not having the Shark Cage did a disservice to these war game matches. I hope they never have a war games match without the Shark Cage. There was no story, but we gotta talk about the biggest thing that happened in this match, and that's a hooded person, hooded figure came into the ring, gave CM Punk a super kick, gave him a Seth Rollins curve stomp, and then just hightailed it out of that. Braun Brecker got the pin on CM Punk, which you know gives him the right to probably challenge CM Punk. But who is this masked man, people ask? Obviously, he hit the Seth Rollins stomp, trying to make people think it's Seth Rollins. Obviously, this injury is a legit injury. He's not climbing no cage right now with the bad shoulder. Some people said Chris Jericho, that man too old to be climbing the cage that fast. Then a lot of people came to the conclusion it's got to be Austin Theory. They didn't give us who it was on Monday. I doubt that they give us who it is on Friday, because that you know it's it's a vision storyline, business on Monday Night Raw. What was your thoughts on the War Games match and this hooded figure that came into the ring?
SPEAKER_03:The men's who this is just me. The men's war games match was underwhelming. You had too many big names for the match to feel like a dude. You had you had too many names. Too many names. You had Roman, Cody, Brock, Simon, you had the Usos, you had Brian Breaker, who you biggest building up and bigging up. You had Logan Powell, YouTube Sensation, and then Bronson Reid, who also pinned Roman Reigns, two PLEs in a row. You had a big match, and this match felt like it felt on fell on deaf earth. This was what I was talking about. We're gonna get to overwhelming. I mean underwhelming. It later on the PLE. This match was underwhelming to me. It felt like it it didn't do enough. For what it for what it for what it could have been and what it should have been. It didn't do enough. Now, the thing with it is you got so many big names. I guess you're trying to protect all of them. Make sure don't nobody get hurt because you know Brunson Reed had got hurt, or whatever the case may be. If that's the case, don't put them in there. You know what I'm saying? Don't put them in this one. That's probably why they didn't put John Cena in it.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:I thought they was. You got too many big names for us to have something. I look, everybody ain't got to be EOS guy. I think E.O. Sky, pound for pound, is probably the best wrestling on N WWE right now.
SPEAKER_00:Probably.
SPEAKER_03:My bad. You're right. Let me not disrespect. I said probably Sean, you know. Not, you know, you know, you know what I'm saying? How I see EOS guy is the best wrestler in WWE right now. Men or a woman. Men or women. Then E.O. Sky is it. They ain't gotta do what she do. She in the league of her own.
SPEAKER_00:But they could have done something. Again, that was no. They did that one little story thing where Cody accidentally hits him punk. I said that was no story. Brock uh Brock Lesnar came in here, did his Brock Lesnar thing. Um when Roman Reigns came out, Brock Lesnar, Matty met the ramp. I mean, it was cool. It was it was entertaining for what it was. But like I said, it was underwhelming because there was no story, and they were just you know it was it was cool, man. That's that's that's all I can say is it was cool.
SPEAKER_03:Roman meeting Brock Lesnar at the ramp was the only good part of the match. Like that was the whole legit. That was the only good part. The ending, the crowd, I feel like I heard the crowd booing because at the end of the match, because it's like, that's it, that's all y'all got. You get Roman saying uh Roman and CM Punk damp each other up, and then Cody, you know, getting that storage on which okay, Cody's about to turn a heel. We know it. So he needs to. Roman Roman said it's the last time we ever team up together. Nobody could hear that but the people at home. You should have said that a little louder. Or, you know what I'm saying, how them two push each other. You know, give me something. You ain't give me, you didn't give me nothing. But let me ask you this real quick. Um, uh, I forgot what is it before the Bell Podcast with Clayton Thomas? I forgot who it was. I was listening to somebody, and they was like, nah, I don't think it was the end, it was somebody else. The um war games should Survivor Series should have all three match types. So it should be it should be one war games match, and then one traditional five on five, and then it should be a brand versus, you know, brand versus brand type matches. You should have all of those in one. What do you think of that idea? Because I actually think that's a good idea.
SPEAKER_00:I think it'd be cool. I think it can get it'll probably get a little confusing, though. Confusing depending on like how they got it. What I would like for them to do is do brand for a brand in the war games. Or no, I don't know, do brand for a brand in the war games match. That's what I would like. Yeah, I like I like that you I wouldn't just me.
SPEAKER_03:Two war games matches, then a five-on five, and then, you know, maybe like an intercontinental versus United States, and then a two women's champion. You know, something. I don't know. Give me I wouldn't be mad at it if it they did it like it.
SPEAKER_00:But yeah, but uh the next big the next PLE is Royal Rumble, if I'm not mistaken. So that means we're at the road to WrestleMania. We get through this Saturday night's main event. We will talk about that on next week's episode, especially when the card gets filled out a little bit more. All we know is John Cena's last match against probably Gunther, more than likely Gunther. But that was Survival Series War Games. Like you said, it was a C. It wasn't that exciting, it was cool. And it was going up against uh Rivalry Week, man. Y'all gotta come better than like that on during Rivalry Week on college football. Um, but that'll do it for War Games. We gotta slide to the NBA because there was a lot of drama going on in the NBA this week. And we're gonna start out with Chris Paul. Chris, Chris Paul, the future Hall of Famer, the man that he's the what, the mayor of Live City in LA? Mm-hmm. Apparently, he's been having some issues with the head coach Ty Lu. He hasn't been playing much, he's been getting a couple DMPs, coaches' decisions. But from what I read, from what I've heard people talking about saying, Chris Paul, you know, he's he's a leader. He's been trying to do things, say things, tell people things. And it's the kind of going the coaches that have not been appreciating that, especially since he's not playing that much. And honestly, even though Chris Paul, he is this Hall of Fame player, he is one of the 75 greatest players of all time. It's hard to tell somebody what to do when you're riding that bench. It shouldn't be as hard when you're Chris Paul. You should like Chris Paul, I believe he has a career as a coach one day, if he wants it. But that's what I'm hearing. It looks like it sounds like you know, two different philosophies being taught: Chris Paul's philosophy, Tyloo's philosophy. But they send Chris Paul home, basically. They basically let him go, released him, even though they cannot feel that spot now because of the salary cap issues that they already behind. Clips is already horrible. And people are begging the clippers to be somewhat good so that draft pick doesn't go to the OKC, who is what, 22-1? And all I keep thinking about is, man, y'all traded away Shay. Y'all traded away Shay. But let's talk about Chris Paul, man. What's your thoughts on this whole Chris Paul situation? And keep in mind, Chris Paul had already come out and said this is his last season. I don't know if he's gonna get it picked up by another team. There's some teams that need a point guard. Now I don't know if they want a 39-year-old Chris Paul, but 39-year-old Chris Chris Paul might be better than what some of these people got. Just saying. Houston. Just saying. But um Chris Paul, how you feeling? Then how the the Clippers of all teams, how you feeling how they treated a ledger? See, this is my thing.
SPEAKER_03:Like you said, it's the Clippers. I love people. Okay. Clippers was a laughing stock before Chris Powell got there. Don't get me wrong, I know they had a history, you know what I'm saying, in like different areas. But I'm talking about them Los Angeles Clippers under Sterling was a laughing stock, and nobody took them serious. Everybody thought they was one of the worst ran. They was always mentioned as the worst ran franchise in the big four. Chris Powell, Blake Griffin, and then DeAndre Jordan, they gave them credibility. They gave them some respect, and you looked at them as a well-run organization. You know what I'm saying? Cool. For you to do one of the people, you do a legend of your team like that, the person whose jersey, y'all going to have to retire, which is gonna be very icy now. It's gonna be real shaky now. A jersey, y'all going to have to rank hang into the Raptors. Y'all could have did this differently.
SPEAKER_00:He probably would have gone into the Hall of Fame. I don't know how they do it in the best Ball of Fame, but you know, other sports they go in, they put they put the team. Uh baseball is is a bigger deal because they get the hat, the team's hat. And then football, they usually put all the teams on there. But he will be, he probably was gonna be more known as a clipper than a Hornet. True. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:But now, like I said, that and their relationship is gonna be icy. You could have done that differently. It could have not gotten this have got have gotten this could have not gotten out.
SPEAKER_00:He posted about it at 3 a.m. They sending me home. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:Like I said, this could have not gotten out. About on either side. It should not have been mentioned. Now we getting, like you said, we're getting these reports of him and Tyloo wasn't getting along, which it does make you look, everybody talking about how great of Coach Tyloo is. They don't look good at all. And I don't I don't know, can we blame that on Tyloo? Can we blame it on the fact that it's an old roster? Who do we blame that on?
SPEAKER_00:That's what Tyloo blamed it on. He from what I this was a while a couple weeks ago. He basically said, when all your money's tied up in a couple guys and they're always hurt, it's hard to be good.
SPEAKER_03:That's a shot, that's a that's a direct shot at one person. Because James Harden, James Harden been playing, he's been bowling. It ain't doing much because you know what I mean. But James Harden's been there and he's been balling. That's a direct shot. He's a he stayed hurt. Don't be wrong, I know they had some other injuries as well. But to me, it just look, it looks really bad. And I feel like, but this, yeah, I think though, this is how all the great players go out most of the time. It's something like this, or they just look real bad in their last their last couple seasons.
SPEAKER_00:The way the Cavs did Dwayne Wade, he lost his minutes, and they just they was like, you know what, bro, we're gonna do you a favor. Hey, he give us a second round and y'all can have way back. That's how they that's how the Cavs did it. Yeah. That's that's how great players go out.
SPEAKER_03:You know what I mean? Demarcus Cousins didn't get, I mean, you know what I'm saying? He ain't a great player, but he's a good player. Didn't get uh, you know, um getting a second chance in the league. Michael Jordan, we saw him in the wizard at the Wizards. We saw Scottie Pippen towards the end. We saw Charles Barton towards the end. You feel what I'm saying? We saw Shaq going from team to team trying to chase another ring if it was like Paul Pearce was on the Clippers, not doing nothing. You feel what I'm saying? Only person I felt like I I can think of off the top of my head that went out with a bang was Kobe. But look how Brian uh Brian Brian Scott managed Kobe that last season. It was a I hear you, you've been he'd been there about for 25. Hey, Kobe, come on. Like, you know what I'm saying? And he didn't, it was like he didn't play a lot of LA games because he it knows it was the home game. It took a lot just to get Kobe to that finish line. We just had a lot of outbreaks go out like that. And it wasn't like Chris Paul was playing LA with him either way.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, he was like I said, he was getting a lot of DMPs, he wasn't playing a lot. He's on his last leg. Uh, but before we move on to the guy that is trying to get up out, trying to get traded, where do you think Chris Paul should go? Like I said, I mentioned Houston. I mean, I'm sure there's a place for him. He's gotta finish his career somewhere. I don't think he should finish it at home like this. Somebody should pick him up.
SPEAKER_03:So I thought of, so I thought of New York, the Knicks. Because, you know, they might be making some moves and they might need some players. So I thought about the Knicks. Queg asked me about the Pacers, and I said, huh? And he said, man, you heard me. I said, huh? You know what I mean? It would what he gonna do? Come play backup wing guard for a team that's not gonna make the playoffs? Unless y'all just I would only side him with if you're an owner, do you think Paul Chris Chris Paul can give you a little bonus in ticket sales?
SPEAKER_00:Even though with this being his last season?
SPEAKER_04:No.
SPEAKER_00:That's the only reason why I would. If I was a bad team, that's the only reason why I would do it. Maybe I get a 3% bump in ticket sales. 3%? Three, five. I mean, you would want more, but that's the floor. Like maybe 3%? But I'm saying three, do you think I I love Chris Paul?
SPEAKER_03:And I'm not trying to be disrespectful as I say it. Yeah, do you really think Chris Paw is gonna give you a 3% increase in ticket sales?
SPEAKER_00:Probably not. Maybe if it if it was officially his last game, yes. Like if they said if we're towards the end of the season, hey, it's Chris Paw's last game. I can see him getting some extra. That last them last two weeks, for sure.
SPEAKER_03:But like now, he ain't really giving you. I don't think he's giving you that because he's not he what he's not gonna play that much, and if he do play, it's 10 minutes a game.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:So nah, I don't think uh something somebody I saw OKT on Twitter. OKT dumb makes sense. They ain't got they ain't got no rooms for the draft picks that they got now. Yeah. So you're gonna bring in Chris Powell and he ain't gonna play? No, that don't make sense.
SPEAKER_00:I mean, if I'm Chris Paul, I'm like I'll I'll take the bare minimum for that ring. I mean, that's cool, but again, they don't got room for him.
SPEAKER_03:Houston, I don't know. Maybe possibly. They need one bad. They do need a point guard. Houston does need a point guard. Dallas needs a point guard. Well, they got Nimhart's little brother. Uh his name's Ryan. Ryan Nimhart, they got he played good a couple nights ago. But Dallas needs a point guard, Houston needs a point guard, so maybe one of them. Even maybe Finn. Them only three different. Only three real and in the Knicks, if you know stuff happens.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, so let's go ahead and move on. Uh, but we'll talk more about Chris Paul as the season. Hopefully he finds him a spot. We don't. We knew he was gonna, we knew he wasn't gonna get no farewell to like Kobe, but we didn't want it to go out like this. But somebody that's playing more than 10 minutes of the game, Yannis, actually not anymore. He just had a calf string yesterday. I kind of I saw that this morning. So he's gonna be out for one to two weeks. But even though it's a calf string, he's still a very tradable asset. And apparently he asked for a trade quietly before the start of the season. Surprised he's still on the Bucks, because I probably would have traded him and got some. I would have traded him in this offseason personally, if I was the GM. But he's still a buck. He asked for his trade. Where do you think Mr. Giannis Ante Pcupo will be at? Everybody's seeing the Knicks, but where do you think he'll be at?
SPEAKER_03:Okay, cool. So like I said, Chris Powell might go to the Knicks because they're gonna be trading people. Uh this is the trade I'm talking about. They might be trading Giannis. They might be trading for Giannis, and they might have to be able to fill some roster spots. Um, so I think I think the um I think the Knicks make a lot of sense. But you for me, for the Knicks, you got a story with Cat. But is Kat and what else? Of course, it's gonna be draft picks, but like I was talking to Quag about DQ, I was talking to him about, I was like, man, I gave up y'all first run draft picks for for uh uh dude from the Nets. I can't think of his name. Bridges. Bridges, Mike Hell Bridges. Y'all gave up a lot of y'all first run draft picks.
SPEAKER_00:I gave up a lot for him. They y'all even got any left. Yeah, y'all gave up, they gave up way too much for him. He's a good he's a great player. He's not worth what they gave up for. But hey.
SPEAKER_03:It's because of the contract. You gotta think. He was on like a$20 million contract. So for the quality of player he is, that was$20 million is a good deal because normally dudes on his levels get very 30, 35. Um, but still, I don't know if it was worth all those draft picks. Um the Knicks was the thought. Houston, uh, Fred Van Blee, and uh, even though he's hurt, I know. But him and um Shagun. That can get you.
SPEAKER_00:No, I'm keeping, no, I'm keeping.
SPEAKER_03:I'm just I'm just throwing out these straight ideas that I have saw. That can get you that can get you Giannis. I saw Paisers fans, Pascal, and somebody else for Giannis. I said, first off, the Bucs is not going to do that. No. Why would the Bucs do that? We ain't got no draft, we ain't we got drafties, but they ain't gonna be good enough for that. Uh so here's the team. Here's a trade. It's gonna be real. This is probably the best trade the Bucs is gonna get. You know, they could always go to Oklahoma City and trade.
SPEAKER_00:No, okay. If you're if you're if you're obviously if you're Milwaukee, they have a lot that they can give you. Some good pieces they can give you. If you're OKC, do you mess this up? Yep. Let me look. There, what 22 and 1? Um, I want to I want to be exact with this. If you're the if you're OKC, is it Sam Preste? Is that is it still him? Do you mess this up? Do you do you mess up what you got? Because right now they are on a historical run, they're on pace to be the Warriors 73 win season. That 21 and one. Do you mess that up? I don't I don't touch a thing if I'm Sam Prested. I'm letting it ride. Don't don't call me about no trade. Don't do nothing. Hey, I ain't answering. I like what I got. 21 and 1. I don't mean I ain't messing it up for nothing. And I got these draft picks coming up. Oh, I ain't messing it up.
SPEAKER_03:All I'm saying is, what if okay? I'm trying to find it because I had it at one point. What if you don't have to give up one of those three? One of the big three. What if you only have to give up uh some role players in some first in all these first round draft picks? Yeah, Oklahoma City's gonna potentially have two lottery picks, if not for lottery picks this year. They're gonna have two first round picks next year, but they potentially gonna have three lottery picks. Which I mean, what if you ain't hell?
SPEAKER_01:What if it is just Jade Ub? You wouldn't give up J Dub for Giannis?
SPEAKER_00:My question for you is outside of OKC, who you think can challenge OKC to win the NBA finals this season? They're twenty they're 21 and one. God man, you don't you don't mess up that people people out see people be in a related, people be in a relationship, they got a good thing, they got a girl that does everything everything. Okay, and then they go outside and they see this baddie, she looks good from afar, but why would you mess up with your guy at home? Giannis look good, he's nice. Top 105 play. He'll be when they do the top 100 all the time, he'll be in that. But you're 21 and one, you don't mess it up. You don't mess up this nucleus, you don't no, you don't mess it up.
SPEAKER_03:All right, hear me. Just hear me out real quick. Just real quick. Can you name the top five NBA players right now?
SPEAKER_00:Top five NBA players? Uh no order, Luca, Joker, S G A, uh, Giannis.
SPEAKER_03:That's good enough. You ain't even gotta go all the way five. So you telling me you ain't gonna potentially, potentially, have. Two of the top five NBA players on your roster, and you know you got them at least the next three years, and again, we're talking about Oklahoma City. They know they already proved proven they can draft well. They still gonna have draft picks, like I said. They got three this year. What if they only gotta give up two this year? And not to mention they got that one uh I can't think it's dude. He toured his ACL. He got hurt last year, and he got hurt this year. A young dude that played. Uh uh of uh Jovich or something, I don't want to pronounce the man's name wrong, but they got him, they got him coming up too. So at some point, Oklahoma said they're gonna be able to pay all these people. So why not go on get a get ahead of now? Go on get Giannis on a three-year run. You won't think even if they trade Jay Duger and bring in Giannis, don't you still think they the favorite?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, they the favorite if they still do it, but uh I just don't I I see your point. I see your point. It's just your 21. Only reason why I would do it if there was somebody close. If there was another team that's like, man, I don't know if we got enough for them. Do we got I'm thinking like, man, do we got enough? If they was battling, if it was close battle with somebody, I would say, okay, we need we need that Giannis to take us over the edge. They had shoulders above everybody. The first place in the East is 17 and 5. The Pistons. The Lakers is five games back at 15 and 5. And then we know how the Lakers are so up and down. We don't know what team we're gonna get from them what one way or another. You're just too headed shoulders above everybody else to mess it up. If I'm sitting pressing, I'm just sitting back, letting my hard work pay off. Let's see if we can get this back to back. Uh, I don't know how the salary cap stuff is gonna work out for next season. I know that I know that salary cap Grim Reaper is gonna come for them eventually. But this team, I didn't think they was gonna be this head and shoulders above everybody's day like they are this year. I thought they was barely better than everybody else last year. And I know you hate to hear it, but man, they they escaped the NBA finals last season. Because let's let's let's call the spade of spade, man. I I said this multiple times from some of my friends. They don't win their finals if Tyrese don't get hurt. I promise you.
SPEAKER_04:Yesterday, that's protecting.
SPEAKER_00:Tyrese was on a heater. I was talking to somebody, they don't win their finals. I'm sorry, they they don't. They got the injuries guys helped them out. As long as the injury guys don't hit them, they're gonna win this championship. And I hate to say it, there's nobody that's gonna touch them. They're blueing, they're obliterating teams. And the teams that they're not obliterating is close, and then SGA just takes over the last five minutes. It's ridiculous watching them play. I'm like, come on, man. Like, it's not even fair. It's like it's like back watching the Ghost State Warriors when they had KD. That's how bad it is right now for them. But that that sounds like Cap Garden Reaper's gonna come get them probably next year, but I I I if I'm Sam Price, I just sit it, sit on it.
SPEAKER_03:And I think I think I lean towards what you're saying, but I do understand the man, that's the that's two of the top five dudes in the league. You put them on the same team. Your run ain't as long as everybody's thinking it is. Now you're looking at you can set up for like a uh you know a five to seven year run. It'll probably be like a two to three year run with Yanna, or three to four-year run with Yannis. But that's still two of the top five. And don't get me wrong, you got Chad, like I said, they still got they still got draft picks and they still got people that that needs opportunities on the bench. So I can see it. That and if you if you the Bucks, that's the best package you're gonna get, without question. Oh, without question. Because for real, like New York, do you really want if you the Bucks, do you really want cat? What about no?
SPEAKER_00:I don't know if they would do it. But I I said this all season. I forgot what the area code was, but if I was the Milwaukee Bucks, I'm looking for that San Antonio area code. I'm waiting for that to ring. Do you think San Antonio will make a ring? I'll say I think I think Victor's still, he's still dealing with his cash string. Because he had one as well. Do you they got some young pieces?
SPEAKER_03:I just had it pulled up, the potential trade. I won't say it was Kelly O'Lenning, Harrison Barnes, Stephen Castle, and I won't say it was three first-round draft picks. That's ESPN had that up. I believe that got it right. I know it was Harrison Barnes, Stephen Castle, and your first round draft picks. I believe Kelly O'Lenning was in that too as well. But if I'm the Spurs, of course. Well, I wouldn't, I could put Wimby and then that I would put Wimby and Giannis together, then that also alleviates my point guard my guard problem. Because in fact, right now I got too many guards and not enough minutes. So if I'm if I'm the Spurs, yeah, I would do that too. But again, if you the bus, dude. Is Stephen counsel enough? Stephen. Is Stephon counsel enough? I don't I would say that. So Stephanie counsel enough. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00:I mean, the Bucks got a lot to figure out. They'll figure it out. They are potentially gonna get rid of the greatest player that they've had in their franchise. I mean, outside of uh Lou Alcinder, aka Kareem, Ladul Jabal, and uh big O, but yeah. It's gonna be interesting.
SPEAKER_03:LeBron broke a streak of 1,297 games with at least 10 points is over. You only have eight points tonight.
SPEAKER_00:Some streaks are meant to be broken. That's a shocking one, but unfortunately, we lost that one. But let's let's go ahead and uh slide out of the NBA for a little bit. We gotta talk about college football and the mess that is college football. Right now, it's the coaching carousel. We're gonna go ahead. We're just gonna start out with Mr. Lane Kiffin, who made a mess of this coaching carousel. He left Ole Miss to go to LSU. I think it is the better job. But Ole Miss more than likely will be in the college football playoffs, but they will be coached by someone other than Lane Kiffin. Because the Ole Miss AD basically said, if you're leaving, dog, you gotta get up out of here to ASAP. And he did. Now it sounds like there was a little back and forth. Lane Kiffin wasn't too happy about it. He threatened to take the whole staff, this, that, and the third. He he did know some people that stayed. He did take a few people, but he's at LSU. Uh, and and it's the college, it's the college calendar. That's the issue. Yeah. It's not much that Lane Kiffin could have done. If he really wanted to go to LSU, it's not much he could have done. The college calendar. That's what Sunday was yesterday.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, the early kind of day. Yeah, it was.
SPEAKER_00:So it was yesterday. So they these teams needed coaches. But the playoffs are going into January. Uh, we'll probably talk more about it in the future. They just need to move the season up. They need they just need to start the season sooner. Have the playoffs in December. Last game of the season, January 1st. That's what that's just what they need to do. But give me your thoughts on Lane Kiffin and how the AD decided that you got to go before before we talk about these new coaches.
SPEAKER_03:Um, you're right about the calendar. Um uh I saw TikTok where Texas Tex head coach was, but he said the same thing. It's uh games needs to be started being played on August 23rd. Or around there. So you can move the whole calendar up. There's no need for these long breaks in between playoff games. The playoffs should end on the first or the second. And then, you know, move he says move uh, I think move the day back, like one or two days. So it'd be a couple uh like a day in between. Um, as far as Lane Kiffin, I mean he didn't want to go to Florida, which I it's good. It came out after the fact that Florida pulled out on Lane Kiffon because simple fact Lane Kiffin didn't like some of the people that was in charge. I heard rumors that he didn't like the GM that they have in charge. So Lane, they it was gonna be some there's gonna be some friction. So Lane Kiffin just pulled out of Florida, Florida pulled out on him, and they everybody went their separate separate ways. I wouldn't, from my perspective, I wouldn't let Lane Kiffin coach my team. We made the playoffs. So you mean so what you're telling me is you feel like LSU has a better chance to win a national championship than your current team that's in the playoffs. If I'm oh miss, that's how I take it. And that's how I perceive it. So no, I don't want you to coach my team. And you're not about to strong arm me and tell me, hey, nah, I'm gonna take some people with me. Okay. They can go. It is what it is.
SPEAKER_00:So I like that, I agree. But we gotta talk about one more before we get to these grades, we gotta talk about one more, not a coach, but a program. I don't remember when they made this hot made this decision. But Penn State was what the second big program to fight a coach. I think UCLA was the first. Yeah, UCLA was the second. And as this very moment, that Sunday was yesterday. Most jobs have been filled, even in jobs where they've lost a coach to a big time school has filled their position. Penn State still does not have a coach. That is absolutely malpractice by the athletic director. I don't know what you're doing. You've seen all these great coaches get new new jobs, you've seen all these assistants, we'll talk about them, get jobs, and you don't have a coach. Now the speculation is there's a lot of there's a lot of coaches out there that's like, man, I don't know if I want that job. The expectations is high. If I don't at least do make it to the semi-phones or national chip ship game, I'm probably gonna be out the door pretty quickly. At this point, now the expectation is Penn State needs to be it needs to be lowered. The next coach, whoever walks in there, eight wins is is the is the is the floor. Because now you waited too long. Who knows is gonna be the coach? You waited too long. You they have, I looked at, I saw it this morning, they had the 19th recruiting class. They're they're in the same area as an Alabama AM, Alabama State. They're down there with those type of recruiting classes. That's how bad it is at this point. Penn State, as if you're the AD, you was one of the first people to have a job opening. James Franklin got a job before you found someone. What is Penn State doing, dog?
SPEAKER_04:Tell me.
SPEAKER_03:I was trying to come over something real quick, and I'll all I got it, bro. I don't know. Um you said it. I like you said everything. I can't say nothing else. I can't add nothing to it. The thing I will add to it is one, it does not make no sense, two, not just the AD, but the president, everybody should be looking in the mirror and they all should be on the chopping block. Because ain't no way y'all ain't got no head coaching. Y'all, like you said, y'all's first. Well, second. Indeed. This is from my perspective. The person, UCLA, the person who fired their coach first, got the person who should have been y'all head coach and Bob Chaney from uh James Madison. He should have been y'all coach. He was coaching to James Madison in Virginia. He built uh James Madison, they ranked this year, they ranked um in the final college football. Well, not the final final, the one before the final, college football uh playoff uh top 25, they are ranked. He should have been y'all head coach, but he's going all the way to UCLA. He knows the area. Why y'all didn't get him? Because y'all y'all was out on Lane Kiffin early. That wasn't even in conversation. It was rumors that Brahm, Jeff Braun was gonna leave Move and go up for then the reports came out that Jeff Brahm was like, nah, I'm cool where I'm mad. Gonna just give me my pay raise, raise the NIL, and we're gonna be good. Y'all let all these coaches get hired. I thought about this early. This is the only thing that would make sense to me. If they're one of the people that they won't is on the NFL coaching staff right now. I don't, that don't, that doesn't make sense. That don't even make sense.
SPEAKER_00:Stanford's new Stanford's new coach was an assistant coach at uh the commanders.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, you're right. I was trying to, at a grace, I was trying to give them, but that's all I had for it. It does not make sense why Penn State does not have a have a head coach yet. I saw a uh diagram where it said it circled all the Big Ten teams and said all these teams got a basketball basketball head coach. Then it circled all on the Penn State and said all these teams got a football head coach. Why don't y'all have a football? It's it's December 4th. Y'all ain't got a head coach. Y'all followed y'all coaches September?
SPEAKER_04:October. Why y'all ain't got a head coach? Y'all should have.
SPEAKER_00:I don't know, bro. But it makes me mad. It makes me mad. Someone whose dream job is an AD, it makes me mad. Like, what was you doing? I'm you should have a stack of potential candidates. You should have been looking at it. It it's malpractice, but now your expectation is lower. Your expectations was we get this coach, this guy should get us over the hump. Y'all back at the bottom of the hump. Y'all gotta figure out how getting up to the top of the hump before y'all thinking about winning a national championship.
SPEAKER_03:But the report said it. They didn't have a plan. You said, but you said they flew as eight and four. They ain't got no coach. They floor is probably five and seven, in nature. They're gonna go from being a top, what, top three team to start the season to they're not gonna be ranked.
SPEAKER_00:Gonna be a bottom three team. A lot of not only did the the commits that they had committed to Penn State went to Virginia Tech. There's a lot of players that transferred from Penn State to Virginia Tech. At this point, I know James Franklin, he didn't, that was probably tired of it. He was close. Y'all should have gave that man another season. Y'all was too quick on the trigger. Now look at y'all. Virginia Tech gonna be better than y'all next year. That's what happens though.
SPEAKER_03:When you move too quick and didn't think you didn't think this all the way through, now you stand here with egg on your face. And I'll you think your people coming to Penn State because it's Penn State. Nah, well, they was coming to Penn State because of that man right there. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:So that's all. But um obviously Penn State doesn't have a job, but I'm gonna go through some of these hires. Uh, we're gonna do a quick little thought thoughts on them real quick. Uh, first up, just go ahead and start out with Virginia Tech. Um, they just got James Franklin. We just talked about him. I think that is a hire. It's obviously working out for them very well. That recruiting class both went up pretty fast. James James Franklin has worked quickly to build this team. How do you feel about James Franklin?
SPEAKER_03:I think he is one of the two best hires in this coaching cycle.
SPEAKER_00:Yep. I agree. Uh next up, uh Oklahoma State. They was one of the early teams that fired their coach. They went uh to the group of five route, and they got North Texas Eric Morris. He has his team in potentially going to the college football playoffs. We'll talk about that in a second. They potentially could make it, depending on how they do against Tulane. Uh UCLA, you just talked about that, Bob Chesney, coach of James Mass, and he should be. He should be the coach of Penn State right now. He should be. But UCLA, that's an interesting hire because everybody knows recruiting is so big. And I did read he has no ties to the West Coast, but it is the West Coast. It is UCLA. It is LA. It's not that hard to tell. LA.
SPEAKER_03:I think he's a good coach. I'm just questioning that hire because why is he going all the way to UCLA? But like I said, he should have been Penn State's head coach.
SPEAKER_00:Yep. Uh Kansas State, they got Colin Klein, uh a Texan AM assistant. Not too familiar with Colin Klein, unfortunately, but hey, Kansas State, not a bad program. They've had their up, they had their downs. Let's see what happens. James Madison. Obviously, they lost their coach to UCLA. They picked up a former Power Four coach in Billy Napier. He was in the group of four before he got the Florida job. I think it's a pretty good hire. We'll see if he can pick himself back up because he did well in the group of five ranks. He's back down there. Let's see how he does. He didn't do very well in Florida, but let's see how he does back at the group of five level.
SPEAKER_03:The crazy thing is, uh, the person who took his job at Florida basically has identical same resume as Billy Napier.
SPEAKER_00:We'll get there. We'll get there. Uh next up.
SPEAKER_03:I think it's a good high real quick, my man. It is a good high for James Madison. You get a you get a because he still was being able to recruit at Florida, so he'll be able to become a James Madison recruit. He already, like you said, recruiting he can win.
SPEAKER_00:Uh next up, LSU. Obviously, they got Lynn Kiffin. He was the pretty girl at the prom. He's at LSU now. I think it's a good hire. LSU, they are, they are at the level where he's probably, if it's not Alabama, only other job he's gonna go to is the NFL. So he if he's gonna get fired or he's gonna go to the NFL. That's how I see it. There's not much higher you can go from LSU. So they don't gotta worry about that. Uh North Texas, uh, I not want I'm not gonna. They have a name here, but I would I heard it was somebody different, so we'll we'll talk about that another time. They say it's Neil Brown here, but I heard it's potentially Jason Garrett. We'll see, obviously. I think they went ahead and went with Neil Brown. I think they went with the uh West Virginia. I like Neil Brown, he was West Virginia. We'll see. Um, not 100% sure, but we'll they went with Neil Brown.
SPEAKER_03:Just gurrett didn't take the job.
SPEAKER_00:Okay, they they stuck with Neil Brown, uh, West Virginia assistant. I think that's a pretty good hire. Obviously, North Texas group of five. They got some going. Let's see if they can keep up the momentum. It's kind of hard when your coach leaves and the new coach comes in, though.
unknown:Yeah, well, you
SPEAKER_03:Head coach in West Virginia.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, West Virginia head coach, my bad. Uh, next up, Colorado State. I really like this hire. Uh, I know there's some Yukon fans is not very happy because they felt like they're on at a higher level than Colorado State. They might be, but Yukon's an independent. That's the problem.
SPEAKER_03:But that was what I was thinking. I ain't not a higher level. Not say higher. But you know, when I see Jill Moore go to Colorado State, I was like, Ain't they on the same level?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:I would have no shade. Ain't they the same level? That's like a lateral move. What? If you just wanted to be on the West, you know, in the western part of the United States, okay, cool. For betterment of your life, because he was the coach for UCLA. He fights his still had a better job of seeing what UCLA is now. But I didn't I feel like it was a lateral move, but that was just my thoughts when I stopped losing it.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I thought it was a little odd as well. Uh Auburn, they hired Alex Golish. He was their former head coach at USF. Pretty good hire. We did see Alex Golish uh up. He he for a little bit, he was trying to have claim that they was the best team of Florida. Obviously, they didn't end up losing to Miami. But he had USF as a respectable program.
SPEAKER_03:This is about when I said James Franklin was one of the best two hires. This is my other one. I think Alex goes, Alex Golas is going to do special things at Arbor. Because, like you said, he already proved he can do it in South Florida. You give him the recruiting budget and uh at Auburn, and he's gonna have he's gonna have a chip on the shoulder too. He's going to be like the like he's gonna look at Alabama as like, okay, we need to take them down. He I feel like he's going to help that rap for me.
SPEAKER_00:Gotcha. Yep. Next up is John Summer, Tulane head coach. He's going to Florida. A lot of fans is not happy with that hire. I think it's a great hire. But like you said earlier, he has similar resumes to their former head coach, Billy Napier. I like John Summer. Outside of the school that he went to, I don't like that. But outside of that, I like John Summer.
SPEAKER_03:The fans ain't happy because they wanted Lane Kiffin. I feel like though, what could have helped this hire if those reports would have came out that Lane Kiffin and the management or whatever didn't get along at Florida? I feel like that would have, if that had come out earlier, you would have gave this head coach a better opportunity to be successful with the fans. I don't. I ain't gonna lie to you. I ain't really if we grading this, you probably gonna give it a B or an A. I'm giving it a C.
SPEAKER_00:Oh yeah, I give it a B.
SPEAKER_03:I give it a C.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I'm giving it a C. Uh next up, Ryan Silfield, former head coach of Memphis, will be going not too far, but heading down to Arkansas. Uh I like Ryan Silfield. We'll see. Arkansas is one of them programs where they can be good. They just it's just they just can't get break through that glass ceiling for some reason.
SPEAKER_03:They went out the coaches like what? Not too far away, you know what I'm saying? From Memphis. Um, I don't know. I don't know if this is the person I would have winged at. It's a name that I think Arkansas wing that should have gotten, but we ain't said it yet. But go ahead.
SPEAKER_00:Uh next up, that team down the street in blue went and got them someone that wore that Cardinal Red and Will Stein, offensive coordinator of Oregon. When the job, when that job opened up, there was two people I didn't want them to get, and this was one of them. But outside the fact that he did go to Louisville, I am happy for him as he got a head coaching job. I hope he does semi-well, just not against that last game of the year, and I hope he does well enough to leave that team in blue because you don't want to be in that wearing that blue too long, especially as someone that has worn red, but Will Stein to Kentucky.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, thank you. And he wanted to go to UK, but UK wasn't giving him no love. So he ended up coming to U of M. So in his heart, that's where he wants to be. So him, that's his dream job. Well, if you say so.
SPEAKER_00:Uh next up, one of my most underrated hires, and the higher, this is the job, not the job, this is the coach I'm probably gonna be my eyeing the most this all these next couple of seasons. Brian Hartline, receiver coach slash offensive coordinator for Ohio State to USF. Probably one of the best receiver coaches ever. All you gotta do is look at all the receivers in Ohio State, there's in the NFL, and just think like this guy did again, like I said, I didn't want that team of blue to get Will Stein or Brian Hartline. Because that man can recruit and he can develop wide receivers. That's two things we know he can do. But he's going to USF and he's in Florida. Man, he's gonna do, I think he's gonna do some damage. I love to hire, he just don't have any head coaching experience. That's the only problem.
SPEAKER_03:That was a great hire for USF, but this is the person who I was talking about. Arkansas should have hire. This if you're Arkansas, this is the person you go and get. Because she already would have went and got in. Well, true. But if they obviously don't know how to find their way out of a paper bag at this point, that's what we know. So if I'm Arkansas, I this is who you should have got. No disrespect to the Memphis coach. You know what I'm saying? No disrespect they hire. I just feel like this would have been a good option because he would have got some fans more excited. You went to the Memphis coach who already proved you can't win the games.
SPEAKER_00:All right, so let's knock these last few out. Michigan State got Pat Fitzgerald, Ole Miss, they uh used went with their defensive coordinator, Pete Golden. It is a permanent hire. UAB went with Alex Mortenson, he was the offensive coordinator and the interim head coach after they let go Trent Difford. Stafford, they went to the NFL route and Tavita Pritchard, he was an uh assistant coach for the Commanders. Kyle went with Tosa Lupillo, he was the defensive coordinator for Oregon. So Oregon is looking for a new offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator. And Oregon State went with Jamarcus Shepard, an assistant coach at Alabama, that was graded as the worst um hire from this website. I'm not gonna say the name, but this website named that the worst hire. But outside of those are the last few, nothing too crazy. But we we went through the big ones. Uh anything else on this coaching carousel? Penn say y'all need to get out. Penn State, if y'all want to hire me, y'all can. I just need a big buyout. That's all.
SPEAKER_04:Nah, I ain't got nothing else.
SPEAKER_00:Well, go ahead. Before we um get out of the college ranks, we gotta talk about as it's championship weekend. We got some championship games happening this Saturday. Um it's Alabama versus L. It's Alabama versus Georgia for like the 10,000th time in the SSC championship game. I'm kind of tired of it, but we got that game. Uh and college game day will be there. I don't think they should be. I think they should be at number one versus number two, Ohio State versus Indiana. I'll be looking forward to that. Troy plays James Madison. If James Madison wins, they have a chance to be in the playoffs. North Texas plays Tulane. That is the winner is in the playoff game from our perspective. BYU versus Texas Tech. And then I think is the most interesting one, just because I want to see what the committee will do if a certain team wins. We have Duke, who is 7-5 versus Virginia in the ACC championship game. We're gonna stay at that one for a second. The ACC is in trouble. If you're the ACC commissioner, you need to pray. You need to do some um sage in your house when you get to when you get to Indianapolis, you need to do some sage in that building in LucasOver Stadium, and pray to the football gods that Virginia wins that game. Because if Duke wins that game, there's a high chance that they don't get a single play, single team in the 12 team playoffs. The many Diaz, the head coach for Duke, he was in an interview on a podcast that I listened to, and he said the ACC champion will always be in the playoffs. Now, more than likely, usually ACC champion doesn't have five losses like they do. But he is guaranteed, he feels like it's a guarantee. Duke is not ranked. If Duke wins, there's a chance the American Athletic Conference Champions, North Texas or Tulane, gets in. And assuming James Madison beats Troy, which I think they will, they get in and leave out no ACC T leaves no ACC teams in there. How you feeling about that ACC championship game? Virginia better win. Virginia better win. Like I said, if you the ACC commissioner, boy, you praying to the gods.
SPEAKER_03:Let me tell you something. Florida State and Clemson are already trying to cause problems in this in this uh conference. Let not ACC team get in. Imagine, neither one of them gotta win a record, so they really shouldn't be tripping. But let not an ACC team get in. Oh no, we can't get out of this conference. And it's gonna be all types of rule changes because simple facts gonna be all right, I hired two rank, I has two rank teams, whatever the case is gonna be. Because it should it really should be Virginia versus Madden. Because then you then you know, okay, when to get in. We're gonna get in. We probably only get one, but when I know we get one. As where now you look at the potential or you ain't getting none and the group of five ain't getting none. I mean the group of five getting two. If you ACC ain't getting none, the group of five is getting two. What? No, that's not even possible. What's hurting ACC here is I ain't gonna lie. It's us. If we didn't go down there and beat Miami, you know what I'm saying? Then Miami did lose another game, but if we go down there and beat Miami, Miami probably probably Miami's probably finished season out of beating.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. They are safely in there. They still got issues with Notre Dame. They feel like they should be above Notre Dame, which Notre Dame is firmly in all we can do is see.
SPEAKER_03:Firmly, I don't think firmly at all. Because I think if BYU beats Texas, Texas, Tech, Texas, Tech is getting in too. That means Notre Dame ain't getting in. Yeah. Good point. So and it is another thing. Like we are saying, Louva messed it up with Miami. Louva also messed it up for they messed it up with ACC from their perspective, too, because simple fact all you gotta do is win the rest of your games. Because you had already had that loss of Virginia. Okay, if you win the rest of your games, you you win the ACC side of game. So then Luva's still gonna be running because simple fact they got this win versus Miami that's boosting them up. Then they also gonna have the Jane Madison win and it's gonna be boosting them up. If you ACC and you looking at Duke potentially getting in, they be talking about the ACC champion gonna get in. Well, no, y'all not.
SPEAKER_00:Now, part uh part of me, uh obviously I'm a fan of ACC team. Part of me wants to see Duke win, because I just want to see what the committee does. Because there's no, I just don't think they that's no way they put Duke in, right? That's no way.
SPEAKER_03:That's no way. It's not possible. That's why, and that's the other reason I don't want the they already looking at the ACC as a joke, which I don't understand why the SEC, they you know, when they play each other, they're beaten up on each other. When the ACC people lose each other, it's like, oh no, you lost to a bad team. Or maybe we just got good teams too, like the SEC. But if we don't, if Duke is the champion and we don't get in the playoffs, oh no. The ACC is a joke of conference. It's gonna go from the Big Four to the Big Three.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. And in the Big 12, uh they might get two teams in. Maybe, maybe three with Utah, but I doubt Utah gets it. But they will probably get two teams in. So it is it's it's interesting. But I'm interested. Um, I will be watching OS Day versus Indiana. Crazy how Indiana look legit, but that is college game day, they should be there. They we know why they had it. We know why they had the SEC Championship game, because SEC paid the bills. But how you not at one versus two? How?
SPEAKER_03:Because Fox is at one versus two. You gotta do Dion, that's college. You gotta do what you gotta do what benefits you the most. What's gonna benefit you is benefit boosting up the game that's on Fox gonna help you, or boosting up the game that's on your network gonna help you.
SPEAKER_00:You're right. Still one verse or two, though. But you you're right. I I I can't I can't deny it. You're right. And no, offense, I think it all they probably about to smack Indiana up.
SPEAKER_03:You think so? Yeah, I think so. I I ain't saying it's gonna be like 28 to, you know, a 28-point game, but it's gonna be like 10 to 14 points.
SPEAKER_00:Um I know you don't gamble, but you know how the spread works. Yeah. What do you think the spread is for this game?
SPEAKER_03:Why are you asking it making me wanna say three points, but I'm gonna say seven, seven and a half.
SPEAKER_00:You should you should have gone with your first gun. It the spread is Ohio State is favored by four points.
SPEAKER_03:Four points, yeah. Damn, four? Not even the hook, not three in the hook. Yeah, no.
SPEAKER_00:But real quick, can we talk about the SCC championship game? Yeah, go ahead. We've seen it a million times, but let's go ahead and talk about it. But no, hurry me up though.
SPEAKER_03:What if Alabama loses? Right? And they lose about two or three touchdowns.
SPEAKER_00:That'd be the second time they lost. No, uh, Georgia, Alabama won the first one. Okay.
SPEAKER_03:But what if that keeps Alabama prevents Alabama from getting into the playoff? You think the SEC gonna SEC gonna lose their shit? Because that's their number one seed.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, they're gonna lose.
SPEAKER_03:Georgia's the higher ranked team, but Alabama's technically the number one seed in the SEC, technically.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, so let's see. SC's gonna get out Georgia if they let's say Georgia wins. They're gonna get Georgia, they're gonna get Ole Miss, they're gonna get Texas AM, they're probably gonna get Oklahoma as well. I don't think they're getting Oklahoma. One, so at least one, two, at least four. They got they're probably they could get five if Alabama wins for sure. Even if Alabama doesn't win, they could get five.
SPEAKER_03:You get Oklahoma in. I don't get Oklahoma in. I think they get Texas AM, LSU, and Georgia. And if Alabama loses, they not getting Alabama. Well, let me say it first. If Alabama loses by like two or three touchdowns, ain't no way I'm letting y'all in. Y'all just y'all just got blown out. But here's the thing, out the SEC's gonna point to, so you y'all letting all these other people in, and y'all ain't letting my my two people who got in the championship in our championship game, not both of them in, championship games don't matter no more.
SPEAKER_04:No.
SPEAKER_03:Because at this, they especially for like the SEC and the Big Ten. Indiana State and Ohio is both getting in.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. If if that game starts to get gets out of hand, you will see on whatever side you will see people getting pulled. And we need you. We got S's out of hand. Let's go ahead and get you. That's gonna be some quick pulling in that game.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, I don't think it's I don't think it's guaranteed. I I don't think it's guaranteed for Oklahoma. I only I don't if Alabama loses by three, they in. But if they lose by 14, they not in. And then like we said, like I said, BYU beats Texas Tech, which is a possibility. Both of them's getting in. Yeah. So it's gonna be a little, it's gonna be a little dicey. I don't know. It's not a guarantee. Not a game's not a guarantee no more.
SPEAKER_00:It's not. We will find outside of it, but there's one more team I want to talk about before we get to the uh professional ranks. Texas. They had they beat Texas AM last week. And they they're pretty, they feel like they should get in. Now looking at the rankings, it's a tall test for them to get in if they get in at all. But the way they're talking, that's saying if they don't get in, and we we just we just saw, I believe, Alabama do it. We just saw them do it. If they don't get in, I'm talking about they're gonna lighten up their schedule. We just Alabama just took off USF and replaced them with Chattanooga. If Texas doesn't get in, guarantee you these schedule is getting lighter.
SPEAKER_03:Oh, for sure. Especially because they're going to nine conference games. Yeah, you those early matchups of you, us playing somebody, like they fight Ohio State or whatever the case may be. They ain't gonna be no more Texas versus Ohio State, Texas versus Michigan, Texas versus USC, Texas versus whoever. Nah, them days are done.
SPEAKER_00:And we already got Georgia, they already added an extra game, so they have to take one off. And it looks like it's gonna be Louis, because Louisville was scheduled to play Georgia for the next couple seasons. Looks like they're taking us off, so they're gonna owe us some bread. But this Sunday, we will find out a lot. Actually, we'll find out the we'll find out the playoff pool. We'll just find out who is in it and who's not in it. There's gonna be some upset people. Uh, I don't know the uh ACC commission, but I know you're praying right now, bro. I know you praying for Virginia to win that game. But let's go ahead and move over to the NFL ranks. Uh good week. Obviously, Thanksgiving week. Cowboys won. The Eagles is in shambles. I'm happy. But let's before we get to the pickups, anything specifically you want to talk about?
SPEAKER_03:Specifically. I'm glad Shador didn't play bad. That's the thing I want to say. I'm glad Shador didn't play bad. He didn't play great. He didn't play good, but he didn't play bad. Because I didn't want him to play bad, then of course it all came crashing down, then they put Gabriel back in. So that's the biggest thing that stuck out to me. Um, you already said it the Eagles are the samples. I can't really that's the way you said it. I can't really add no more to that. You know what I'm saying? AJ Brown had a good game, and they still choked it away. The Chic This season has been very surprising, and the people that you think would be running away with it, your Baltimores, your Buffalo's, your Kansas Cities, uh, even your 49ers to a degree, the teams you thought was gonna run away with run away with it, they are not. Chicago is the top of the division. The Chicago birds. And they're not they're not doing it with defense either. But they're not doing it with real offense either, because they don't, it ain't like Caleb Williams is gonna be MVP. No. So, no, so that this year has been very surprising to Colts. You was on the Jonathan Taylor being MVP.
SPEAKER_00:Danny DeSheet. That that that ship is hell, man. The Colts they didn't and you you counted. Boy, Daniel Jones is gonna fall off. And he he he fell off worse than Sam Darnold did last season. At least Sam Darnold waited until the last two games of the season.
SPEAKER_03:I know he's hurt, but then I was gonna say he is hurt, though.
SPEAKER_00:You don't look like Indiana Jones no more. And the Colts, they don't look like I was seeing AFC Championship content. They don't look like that team no more. These teams, what they decided, they they basically said, hey, we low net box. Daniel Jones, you beat us, and he hasn't been able to do it.
SPEAKER_03:No. Especially because he also he can't run because he got a which I'm surprised. A broken fibula, uh tornado. He got a fracture.
SPEAKER_00:Normally when people have those, they don't really be playing. It's gotta be very small fracture. They said it's not gonna hurt anymore, but anytime you hear a fracture anywhere, man, sit sit down.
SPEAKER_03:Sit me down. Yeah, so I don't know about that one. But he don't want to sit down because he wants that money.
SPEAKER_00:Yep, yep.
SPEAKER_03:So he got money on the line.
SPEAKER_00:And I don't think they want him to sit down either because who's their backup? God knows how to slide protection, right?
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, you're right. That's crazy. I heard Daniel Jones is better than you. Damn that say a lot. I ain't even gonna hold you to say a lot.
SPEAKER_00:But uh, I know it's been a long episode, guys, but we are now at the NFL Pickams. What we got? All right, Titans versus Browns. Uh I'm glad you went with the Titans first. I gotta ask you a question. I'm going with I'm going with the Browns. But I saw someone on tour, they said the Titans might draft a quarterback. You think they should?
SPEAKER_02:No.
SPEAKER_03:That wouldn't even make sense. Get the quarterback that we already got some weapons. And also, this ain't a good quarterback class anyway. So I'm big on let's keep this number one overall pick and then turn down so we can get more picks. Alright, we're gonna write over somehow.
SPEAKER_00:All right, uh Bingles watch the bill. I got the Bingles because Joe Burrow is on a mission. I think they're gonna miss the playoffs, but I think they're gonna bring it to the last week of the season.
SPEAKER_03:I get the bill. I wanted to see what did you think about Joe Burrow if he was gonna be able to get them back in there. Alright, Bears versus the Packers. Division leading the Bears.
SPEAKER_00:Where's this game at? Oh, Grimday. Give me give me the Packers. I wasn't thinking about the Bears, but give me the Packers.
SPEAKER_03:I'm going to go. I'm going to Packers.
SPEAKER_02:The Bears is leading the mission. I'm going to play the mission.
SPEAKER_03:But I don't know. I ain't got no faith in him.
SPEAKER_02:Alright, Texas versus the Chiefs.
SPEAKER_00:The Chiefs, they on the mission. They might I think the Chiefs will probably miss the playoffs too, but they gonna they're gonna bring it to the last week of the season. The Texas look great though. That defense. Woo! Alright, so you move the Chiefs.
SPEAKER_02:I am going to go.
SPEAKER_05:I feel like all right, last one.
SPEAKER_00:I got the Chargers. I need the Chargers to win anyways, especially if my Cowboys win the night.
SPEAKER_02:Alright, man, I am going Eagles because if they don't win, it's over.
SPEAKER_00:If we in that rear view mirror, if we win tonight, I don't know if we're gonna win tonight. But that do it for another episode of From Our Perspective. I know it was a long one, guys. We had the lot, we had a lot to talk about from the PLE to Chris Paul to the college football world and these coaches carousel. It's a lot, a lot, a lot. Um I'm your boy Dion Wyatt. Please like, please subscribe. Uh give us in the comment section. Tell us if Duke wins, should they be in? You tell us that. We don't think they should be. Head coach of the Blue Devils, Minnie Diaz, believes they should be. But I wanted to hear from you guys. Uh and before I send it over to Captain Hayde, I want to give congratulations to my nephew. He signed to go to North Carolina. He'll be playing for North Carolina. Unfortunately, he lost in the state championship game up there in Michigan. But he had one hell of a career and he signed to play for the uh Tar Heels with Coach Belichick. But I'm your boy Dion. Again, please like, please subscribe. Captain Hayden, go ahead and take us home. My shout out to your nephew. Uh and I saw that Bill's got like a top 30 or two players.
SPEAKER_03:He said he wasn't gonna be bad two years in a row. That's what he said. When I saw that, I said, Oh, okay. They're probably gonna have to file that GM, but that's neither her nor there. You're another passage for boy, Mr. Bell. Aka say you're linking up from spot. Might not shoot a mile. We're gonna catch y'all later.
