SPEAKER_02:

Welcome, welcome, welcome back to another episode of From My Perspective. I'm your boy DM. We're coming back to you on our regular scheduled program. Glad to be back to normalcy. But you guys know, please like, please subscribe. Go ahead, leave a comment in the comment section. We thank you guys so much for listening to us in all the different countries. We've seen this. You know, we got some people in Australia listening to us. That's kind of crazy to really think about it. But uh I'm joined by the man of the myth, the legend himself, Captain Hader. Q, how you doing?

SPEAKER_03:

Man, you already know the bass is your boy, Mr. Bell. I can't say your name up on his pod. Might up with you to my. What's going on, Dia?

SPEAKER_02:

That's going good.

SPEAKER_03:

It's going good.

SPEAKER_02:

So we didn't do an emergency pie because it wasn't that big of a trade, but it was still a big trade. We also we all know that Luca and Trey Young will be compared to the hip forever because they was a um draft day trade. But now Luca was traded from the Mavs to the Lakers. Trey Young has been traded from the Atlanta Hawks. We all seen it coming, especially when it came to the end. We knew where he was going. He got traded to the Washington Wizards. He will be in DC. He got traded while he was on the sideline in street clothes. So he had to say goodbye during the middle of a game. But Trey Young got traded to the Washington Wizards for CJ McCone and Corey Kisberk. No draft picks, surprising me. But what was your reaction? I mean, I know you knew it was happening. We were expecting it. I know it was going to happen soon, but we knew it was probably going to be the Wizards.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, I I thought it was going to be closer to the deadline. I thought we had like another week or two. It was going to be one of those everybody knows he can't charge it to the Wizards, but it just ain't happened yet, type situations. But it did, they did go ahead and pull the trigger on the situation. He wanted to go to Washington. And here lately, people have been wanting to go to the Wizards. And for because like uh the rookie out of uh Utah, uh, that played for Ruckers. I can't think of his name. Bailey, Bailey, Ace Bailey, Ace Bailey. He wanted to get drafted battle wizards, and then Trey Young wants to go battle, go to the Wizards. I'm like, what's going on here in the Wizards? Do y'all are y'all watching the same Wizards that I'm watching? Right. Okay, or that I'm not watching because I'll just be saying that record because that's the Wizards. Like, like, let's be for real. Um, so it kind of it did kind of throw me off that Trey wanted to go to what go to the Wizards, but I feel like he has a history with the front office be from uh one of the people being down there in Atlanta who dragged the guy that drafted him. And then another guy used to work in the OKC office while Trey was at Oklahoma. So he has it, he has a strong history with that front office. But I still, then I don't know if I won't go play for the Wizards though.

SPEAKER_02:

I mean, unless I got a ring and they offer me the biggest contract, then on God's Green Earth, sure. I need more than one ring.

SPEAKER_03:

Just go take it. I need to know that like I got two or three of these things, and people know who I am, so now I'm just gonna get to pay that. Yeah, I don't think more than enough. But yeah, so yeah, it's a break.

SPEAKER_02:

It's it's odd, it was odd to me. I know I saw it. Obviously, CJ McCullum, he's going to, he's you know, he's a star for the Wizards going to Atlanta. But there's obviously a lot more to it than just this original trade. It seemed like um Atlanta is trying to move some money around so they can pick up a some said uh injury-prone guy that's right now in Dallas in AD. We'll see how that goes. But the what's what's other what's other underlying thing from this trade you think is gonna happen from this?

SPEAKER_03:

But you just hit on it. I think that's the underlying. I think that's why I was like you said, pre-plot to talk about the draft picks. There's no draft compensation in this trade whatsoever. I feel like the reason it was done is because CJ McCollum's is an expiring contract. So you getting off, you getting off the books and the possibility to because you know how that new aprons is in the NBA, the possibility to get up under the apron and to stay away from that tax, it is worth a draft pick because you get to keep your draft picks if you don't continuously be in that apron. And I think that was the benefit. I also think that trade was done because of the simple fact, like you said, street clothes want to get traded, and the rumors is he wants to go to ATF. Dallas probably looks as it is. We're gonna have Kyrie, we're gonna have uh Cooper Flag. It's better for us to have some money than a certain player at this time, so then we can go to the offseason and then make maneuvers in that way. I think that's why it was no draft conversation because the simple fact we have y'all get AD basically by taking Trey Young off y'all's hands.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh yeah, yeah. So uh, do you think so? Like, what is the Atlanta fighting for? Because I don't think AD's a because I feel like Atlanta there in the rebuilding stage. I don't think AD fits a rebuilding team. I feel like if I'm a team, I'm only going after AD if I'm in a wind nail mode. Like I can get a championship this year. I'm not going after AD if I'm trying to rebuild. He's not a rebuild guy. No offense to AD. You just be in street clothes a lot.

unknown:

A lot.

SPEAKER_02:

So what you think of Atlanta doing? Because getting AD is not gonna do much for you. You mean you might sell some tickets? You might be able like like with Washington, like with the Wizards, instead of charging$40 to get in the game, you can probably bump it up about$60 to get a game with Trey Young, because you know he's gonna put on the show a little bit. He ain't gonna guard nobody, he'll put on a little show. Same with Atlanta. Instead of charging like$40 again, he probably bumped up like$60.

SPEAKER_03:

So the reason I the reason I think Atlanta wants Anthony Davis is because he he fits what they're building in the sense of a bunch of long athletic players that can guard and who can switch. He fits what he fits what they're building better than training him doing. Now I don't know if I will go in all on the A B train because in fact, look, let's talk about that. I'm gonna be real hurt. And it hurts to say because one, mainly because he went to that school up the street, and you know I don't like that school up the street. That that blue, that blue man. That blue, that blue joke up here. But I thought AD, when AD was coming out, I thought AD was gonna be the greatest thing since white bread. I what everything Yannis is right now, I thought AD was gonna be. So maybe they still see that he has the potential to be there, even though he don't play. And they like, okay, if we can get him in here, it'll continue to make our team better. They uh they're gonna be like a middle of the pack East team. But Jalen Johnson balls. So put him next to if AD actually uh a motivated AD is still a great player.

SPEAKER_02:

I mean, so right now, let's let's be honest. Um, in the East, the play-in tournament, it's it's always gonna be the Heat, the Hawks, and the Bulls in some way, shape, or form. The Cavs is in there right now. The Hawks has been in the play-in invitational for the East since its inception. The Hawks every year. The Hawks, Heat, and the Bulls. It's been those three, and then you slide in another team depending on the year. It's been the Pacers, it's been the Nets, it's been the Magic, I believe. But it's been the other three, the Heat, the Hawks, and the Bulls. You think AD can get them out of the play-in invitational?

SPEAKER_03:

Looking at the East right now, uh a motivating Anthony Davis. Yes. I think he gets them to the 60.

SPEAKER_02:

All right, we'll see. I mean, I don't we'll see if it happens. Are you confident that that trade? We're talking like that trade is a said and done deal. Well, it looks like it is because Dallas wants to get off of him, and it looks like Atlanta wants them.

SPEAKER_03:

So, what I'm hearing is it's either it's either Atlanta or Toronto for AD. It's really best off who's gonna give him the better extension. Uh, in the owner of the Mavericks, he wants he wants to trade to Wade to after we see Kyrie. He wants to see what it's like with Kyrie, Cooper Flag, and AD, all of them healthy, all of them playing together. Kyrie ain't coming back to he'd come he didn't come back before the trade deadline. He ain't coming back before trade deadline. So you gotta make it you gotta make your business decision now. Because you're not gonna because at this point, you are you gonna are you gonna understand AD if you Dallas? No. So you gotta make the business decision now. So you're gonna trade them, and it really boils down to who gives you the better author, better offerer. Atlanta gives you cap space flexibility. Toronto gives you players, which one you want at this point? That's really what it boils down to. Yep.

SPEAKER_02:

But speaking of, you know, Tyler talking about the bottom half of the NBA. Let's go up to the top half of the NBA and let's specifically talk about the OKC Thunder. We uh we won't we talked about this team a couple weeks ago. We talked about this team like they they're on the way. They're trying to get that 73-9 record. We thought they was gonna at least get 70 wins. We'll see if they can get that record. Since then, the Spurs then came in there and told them, showed them who's boss. And then the last 13, the OKC Thunder are 7-6. They were 6-6, but they did get a win yesterday in overtime against the Jazz. So it took overtime to beat the Jazz. They're struggling. Now, this team, they was destroying teams for the first time of the year. Again, they was what 21-1. Everybody's like, they going for that 73-9. We can get that out. They're not getting that. They got they got seven losses already. They got seven losses now, so that means they got two more losses to get, and they'll be at nine. So they're definitely not getting seven. Last week we said they wouldn't get it. It was like they'll probably get 65 wins. I might bump that back down to like 60. Because it's it's looking a little shaky. Maybe they can find themselves, but right now they don't look like they are comfortable or confident. I think the San Antonio Spurs came in to snatch their chain. They gotta find their chain.

SPEAKER_03:

Not D moder. Oh. So I don't I don't think it's the San Antonio Spurs. I think I think it's the season. I think the season broke though. In the hype of, okay, we have the potential to, we have the potential to break his record. Man, breaking that record is not was not gonna be easy. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? But also the it's 82 games. It's like a basketball season, NBA, MLB and NBA season, they're so long. You could be riding high for two months and you hit a stretch for three weeks, that'll shape your entire season. And that's what happened because it's so long, and then you can go back high being hot for two months. So that's why when you said 65 was after the question, I was like, I don't know. I think they still might be able to hit 65. I think they still had a chance to hit 65, like you said, the uh 739. Yeah, no, it's not gonna happen. Yeah, but I think it I thought it was a strong possibility. I didn't know if it was gonna happen. I did think it was a strong possibility, though, because they was wrong, but yeah, I think the season broke them. I don't want to give, I don't want to give too much credit to San Antonio.

SPEAKER_02:

Okay. So you just want to well say this see the totality of the season, like, man, it's a lot. Trying to go for that record probably went for it a little bit. Um, so I mean, we were talking about trades. I'll I retracted my statement saying you don't need to do anything. Uh uh the Bucks, they're 11th in the east right now. They was talking about trying to trade for a certain guy in uh Charlotte, who for some reason he got moved to the bitch today. I don't know why, but it was talking about trading for a certain guy. You know why.

SPEAKER_03:

The same reason Trey wasn't playing the last couple the last couple days. Especially once they realized, oh, we could get rid of you because they got rid of Trey. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, no. Let's go home, let's go put him on bitch. Yeah, nah. They trying to, they won't, they're trying to force him to walk out.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, so uh, but Milwaukee trying to get him, but Milwaukee, they continue they want to be buyers, they want to be buyers. I think they kind of I think right now they probably made a mistake not trying to get that uh number one pick from from uh Dallas, you know, offering John for him, or you know, I said hit up San Antonio because they had so many people. I I wouldn't I wouldn't do it now if I was San Antonio. But I think Milwaukee there, they're because it's it's gonna only end one way, because I don't think you're gonna be Lamelo doesn't make you good enough to be championship contenders, even in the East, and that's saying a lot. I don't know if he makes you good enough because they're already in such a depth, it's just because they're such it's such a deficit, they don't have to do a lot to get back into it. So maybe if maybe next season with Lamelo, whole season, sure, but I just think Giannis is gonna try to get up out of there. Okay.

SPEAKER_03:

One thing, okay, Lamelo don't play no defense. Giannis don't play as good as defense as he used to, but he still plays pretty good defense. And they got a milestone down or you know, he'll block a shot. He ain't gonna grab no rebound, but he'll block a shot. I think he'll they'll do enough to cover Lamelo. I think if they and then with them two, the East is not as good as not the bottom half ain't as good. So they can I feel like they can make a run in the playoffs because they'll get in the playoffs, they'll get out at the 11th seed easily. They I feel like they can make a run in the playoffs as a championship contender. Uh, and then when you talk about it all the time, who do you trust in the East?

SPEAKER_02:

I did trust the Knicks, and then they won the play-in tournament, and they not the play, they won the uh in-season tournament, and now they look bad. They talking about possibly trying to get Giannis.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, so and then Giannis did come out and say that he wants to stay in Milwaukee, but he'll say that, and then you would get all these reports in behind the scenes that he wants to get out of Milwaukee. So I don't know. I don't if if I'm San Antonio, I don't make I don't make Trey. Oklahoma City, I would I ain't gonna lie, I think I still would consider it. I don't know if I do it, but I consider it. But if I'm if I'm Milwaukee, I continue to be buyers. Okay, we didn't get Trey. How can we get somebody to pair with Giannis? And who can we get to pair with Giannis? I think Lomelo would be a good choice because he will give them instant offense. And what they lacking right now is point guard play. He'll give he gives them that and he he'll put he can put the ball in the hook. Yep, that for sure. He can do that. So if I'm Milwaukee, I will continue to until we don't have Giannis on this team no more. If I'm Milwaukee Bucks, I will continue to be a body. Okay. Any chance I get.

SPEAKER_02:

I don't disagree with that. But so you know, I was saying, well, after Christmas, we all know once Christmas hits, NBA season really starts hit. Trade deadline is February 5th, if I'm not mistaken. So got a little bit over a month, a little bit, a little bit less than a month left for these teams. So um, no, keep looking on Giannis, keep a lookout on AD, Lamello. Uh, I heard uh Donovan Mitchell might be a little bit on the trade block too, quietly, quietly, but uh who knows? We'll see what happens. But let's go ahead and switch gears to the college football final four. We're not necessarily gonna talk about the final four games because one is going on right now, but I want to talk about a specific team that you hated on a little bit last episode. Um hating on you? You've been hating on for as long as we've been on the podcast, just in general. I'm gonna I'm gonna hate on while we're doing this part. But Indiana, they absolutely destroyed Alabama in the last game. And I'm watching this game and I'm just thinking like Indiana was like one of the worst football teams in football just to 2023. One of the worst teams. And I'm just thinking, like, damn, Kurt Cennetti might be the greatest coach to ever do it because one of the hardest things to do is build a team up to compete with these name brand teams. Now, I know it's a different era. I know that it's probably maybe a little bit easier to do it in this era, but it's the he's at Indiana. The only other coach that I can think of that has brought a team that was okay, but he brought an okay team to a great team. That was Debo's twin. He brought a Clippers team, which was okay. They had some history, nothing crazy, but he bought them the championship contenders. Kurtinetti brought is brought a nobody team to now they are the favorite to win it all. So Kurtinetti, he's already in that GOAT conversation with me. He's up right with Nick Satan just for building this team up from what it's Indiana. It's Indian, he has Indiana undefeated as the favorite to win the national championship in two seasons. Took him two seasons, dog. Took him two seasons.

SPEAKER_03:

You my dog. I just I wanna say, I want to start this off with saying you my dog. And to use a name of another Miss Brass podcast respectfully, you're wrong. What the hell? You think he's already in the GOAT conversation? He ain't won that yet. Because he you said it yourself the reason why he being able to do this. It's a different herb.

SPEAKER_02:

It's an Indiana, he ain't got the resources in Indiana, like under TV.

SPEAKER_03:

Oh, Mr. had the resources and look at them. Like, it's if you get it, if you get ahead of the NIL, if you get ahead of the NIL, you can win this. You can you can change your whole program. Look at James Madison.

SPEAKER_02:

That but that's speaking of Jay's Madison, that's where Curstenet came from, and he brought a lot of players from James Madison to Indiana. Kirsten, he ain't got no five stars on his roster.

SPEAKER_03:

He got a couple four stars. Okay, cool. But he's been gone for two years in James Madison still because James Madison was in the playoffs without him.

SPEAKER_02:

Cool, you're right.

SPEAKER_03:

No, I don't. I'm not saying first, he's a great coach, and what they said, especially if he win the championship this year, it's a storyline. It's a or it's a story, it's a perfect storyline. It's a great movie.

SPEAKER_02:

They definitely make a movie about it, call it too.

SPEAKER_03:

Great movie. Cool, rock with it. That whatever the case may be. But the greatest of all time, nah. Because hell, Nick Saban took like you, I know it's different, but LSU had they LSU had problems before Nick Saban got there and he won one down there. They had you know say they have problems too. Imagine it wasn't like any hell, you know what I'm saying? But they had their own problems too, and then he Went to Alabama and just Alabama was hey, we just gonna do this every year. Who's gonna stop us? Georgia. That's about it. You feel what I'm saying? I don't greatest in one of the greats. Nah, I can't go that far.

SPEAKER_02:

I I I don't know. It's tough for me, but it's it's crazy. And it it was bad for it for me, or not bad, but what I think about is like if I'm an A D, I'm looking at my coach funny in the light. I'm looking at all coaches funny in the light. They come they come to me talking about some, yeah, it's gonna be a slow bill, it's gonna take about four or five seasons. All I'm gonna do is like, you see what that man in Indiana did?

SPEAKER_03:

Took him one. He had a chip, but see, he also came with a chip on the shoulder because of the fact he he was 50, 60, he's in his 50s or the 60s. He's 65, I think. 65, yeah. I thought he was in his 60s, and he just now getting his opportunity. Now, he should have had his opportunity in his 40s or his 50s.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, he was uh so backstory. He was an assistant with Alabama back during the first like early days. He took a Iona, which you probably heard of. You heard of him in basketball, but he took an Iona head coach as well. He went to lower, lower level just because they wanted to offer him a job. He wanted to be a head coach. Took him a while to get up here to the FPS level and uh group of power five level, power four level deal. So uh you got a good point. It took him a while to get up here, yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

So he probably should have got her quicker. But that being said, it do I think he's a great coach. Yes, but greatest? No, we're not doing that. He gotta win something to me. He gotta win a couple of them things. You gonna skip over Kirby Smart? Kirby Smart still coaching, even if you won't look past Nick Sayton and put him in a different different chair. Cool. Fine. Kirby Smart is still coaching, and you don't think he I ain't going that far.

SPEAKER_02:

Uh, but we gotta talk about another coach as a new Michigan man in town, uh, Cal Whittingham, the former Utah head coach. Um, he wasn't he wasn't fired. He, you know, they they forced him to retire. He didn't want to, but they forced him to. And he kind of got lucky that the Michigan job to open up. So good coach, a little long in the tooth and age, but he's what Michigan needs, and someone that's gonna be staying stable, and he ain't gonna be looking at them BBLs on Instagram. So it's something stable for him. He ain't gonna be looking at no snow money and BBLs. It's an adult in the room. It's a good hire. I see he'll probably be there for about three, four years. He might retire, but it's a good hire. Uh you he's been at Utah like 21 seasons. He was he he was at Utah, he got the Utah job after Urban Meyer. Urban Meyer ain't been in Utah since like 2006 or seven, I think. So keep that in mind. He's been there since for like 21 seasons. So he's he's he knows what he's doing. Utah has always been a respectable program under his leadership. So Michigan should be a solid team. We'll see. Again, he's long as two, but I expect Michigan to be a solid team.

SPEAKER_03:

First off, you had a pocket on two. Okay, you didn't have to come up with that man to look at them Instagram models. And you said that man was longer than two five times, Deion. You didn't have to say it, that'd be that. But that being said, what he does is is give Michigan something solid to build on. He's not gonna he ain't gonna be there, he's not gonna be there ten years.

SPEAKER_02:

No.

SPEAKER_03:

People saying three, I'm gonna give him five. He's gonna be there five years, give them something to blow to what he is. And they're gonna try to transition music into the wife.

SPEAKER_04:

Oh, Wi-Fi is here. We lost you.

SPEAKER_02:

We'll get him back, but yeah, he was talking about Cal winning him. There's the new Michigan as hole again. I was joking, but I was a little serious, a little long in the tooth. He will be okay.

SPEAKER_04:

Let me see what we can do here.

SPEAKER_02:

We're talking about Kyle Win here and congratulations to him, though, for finally getting him a big-time job in Michigan. But we got to talk about, you know, crazy story of the week. The Oakland Athletics. If you guys don't know, they are moving to Las Vegas. They're gonna take a detour to Sacramento. They said they was like, we're not gonna just wait in Oakland until our stuff is ready in Las Vegas, we're gonna go to Sacramento. They're gonna so they're gonna be the Sacramento Athletics, and then y'all see they're gonna try to be the Las Vegas Athletics, but they went to go put in that patent for it, and they was denied. And the reason why they was denied, and Oakland Athletics fan, you know, owner of a bar, uh the bar name uh uh escapes me at the moment, already got the patent for not only Sacramental Athletics, but Las Vegas athletics. So they got a nod. Funny, pretty petty, but let's be honest. He came up off that thing. They probably gonna pay him. I don't know how much they're gonna pay him, but he's coming up off that name a little bit. You don't think they're gonna pay him? So you giving me information that I didn't even know.

SPEAKER_03:

Oh, you didn't know that? So I knew the patent had got denied. I didn't know the patent got denied because somebody else owned it. I just was what I read was the patent got denied because there was nothing in Las Vegas that says that they deserve to have that name because they ain't got nothing official yet. I didn't know a bar owner owned it. But you know, they played in Sacramento last year, and I think they're gonna be what Sacramento, what, the next two years? Yeah, they're gonna be. So, yeah, yeah, the next two years too, on top of yeah. So, yeah, I didn't know this a bar owner owned it. He was quick with it.

SPEAKER_02:

Laz Dog Bar, that's what it's called.

SPEAKER_00:

He there's a bar in Oakland attorney to social media that uh on the same thing that the Oakland Aids announced they're gonna play their next three years in Sacramento, that they also applied to the U.S. dependent trademark office for trademarks to both the Sacramento and the Dependent Sacramental Athletics.

SPEAKER_01:

However, it appears that the team might be more focused on their immediate move rather than the team's final destination and application for the Las Vegas Athletics trademark is final, but apparently it was not by the team.

SPEAKER_03:

I didn't know I didn't know that. Okay, that's that's news, that's news to me. Yeah, so yeah, like I said, I thought they just had gotten that from Las Vegas, in what I had read.

SPEAKER_02:

Okay, cool. But yeah, some no, some dude being petty for uh Oakland Athletic fan was being petty. He's like, Yeah, I'm zip. He said they get about six months before it's official, but they don't got it. So what how you feeling about that? It's smart on him. Somebody in that sports department, though, they they slacking, they need to figure what out because I don't know how you fuck that up.

SPEAKER_03:

He probably bought it as soon as the rumors was getting out, so he was on it before they thought they had to, because they didn't think nobody was gonna, you know what I'm saying? Bad at Trey Moore. Uh, and you said it was petty on him. I don't think so. It's petty y'all took my team because y'all want to go to Vegas. Yeah, all right, then so I'm gonna be petty to y'all too. Y'all gonna make y'all gonna pay me for this? Because he probably he probably feel like y'all shouldn't even have the name athletics. If y'all going to Vegas, y'all should come up with y'all name.

SPEAKER_02:

I don't I like I like the athletic, I like the athletics name, but we'll see. It's been not but we're here now. If they don't go with athletics, do you what do you think they should go with? I it's they can't do aces because obviously the Las Vegas Aces is there, but that would have been fire, but obviously they can't do that. What's other names you think they could do?

SPEAKER_03:

So I see this name on 2K a lot. I do like the Vipers for Las Vegas. I I I like the Vipers for Las Vegas. I don't know if it necessarily works for baseball, but I see it on 2K for the basketball team for those like already auto-generated uh Las Vegas team. Um I feel like you you gotta play on the casinos, like kind of like the Aces. I don't I don't know what other names Las Vegas Spades. Yeah, you call them spades, call them the hearts. Uh call them the put a what's another word for diamond? Because you play on the baseball diamond. Well, I mean it's kind of it's kind of hard to do diamonds. Oh, because the Arizona diamond backs, yeah. You can't read, yeah, yeah. I'm tripping. So yeah, yeah, yeah. The hearts or whatever the case may be, but yeah, no, I don't. I I if you gonna this is me. If you gonna move, I don't know if you should take that name. Because what if that team, what if that city get their name, get the team back, they want their name back. We already got a history. Imagine the athletics, they was in Philly at one point, and I won't say they they were somewhere else too. I know they play is Oakland, I won't say Philly, and it's another city, they done played in three places, but yeah, no, I I think they should come up with a new name altogether anyway.

SPEAKER_02:

Well, yeah, we'll see. If they do, they might come with a name, but as of now, they're gonna be in Sacramento for the next two years playing in a minor league ballpark, I believe. So we'll see how that plays out.

SPEAKER_03:

But it's a mess. It's already it's already been a mess. It's gonna continue to be a mess.

SPEAKER_02:

But uh speaking of Las Vegas teams, you know, there's another Las Vegas team before we slide to the next one. It's gonna be an NBA Las Vegas team. What do you think the NBA Las Vegas team could be called?

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, I'm gonna say the Vipers because that is a that's a good name. Uh something with show. I'll show something with show. I don't want to say show boats, but something with show because you know if you think of Vegas, you think of you think of casinos, you think of residencies, like Fab Fab got one. Uh I would think I would think of something along that line of like either something to do with the casino or something to do with the entertainment district or whatever the case may be. And if you should they call him the Las Vegas or should they call him Nevada?

SPEAKER_02:

Uh Las Vegas has a better ring to it. And Las Vegas, it just Las Vegas be up in lights. Nevada is just no offense, it's just Nevada. And people didn't think about it. Nobody say everybody nobody be traveling to Nevada. They be traveling to Las Vegas. No offense for people that live in Nevada. We probably got some Nevada listers. I apologize. But I'm just saying.

SPEAKER_03:

I'm gonna go to Reno. I'm gonna go shout out to Reno. I'm gonna go to Reno one day.

SPEAKER_02:

But uh, yeah, so we'll see. Uh obviously, we'll see what these trademarks will happen. I think they're just going to, no, M and B, they're gonna get their name. There's no FNS about as about it, in my opinion. But it's possible that they might have to switch it up. But let's go ahead and switch it up to let's see what's going on in the NFL world. And a lot of job openings have opened. The Arizona Cardinals, a little sad about this one. Uh, Jonathan Gannon, former U of L alum, he was fired. Um today, Miami head coach Mike McDonald. He was fired. Uh Raheem Morris, probably one of the most surprising ones for Atlanta. He was fired. Obviously, the Tennessee Titans job was already open. The New York Giants job was already open. And then um we got the Baltimore Ravens. So we got Cardinals, Ravens, Titans, Giants, uh, Dolphins, Atlanta. I'm missing one more. Uh Cleveland and Cleveland. Cleveland, Cleveland, yeah. So we got those jobs opened up. Uh to me, the top two jobs is Baltimore and Atlanta. Am I wrong?

SPEAKER_03:

No, you're not wrong. You're not wrong whatsoever. I think I think those are, I think. Yeah, I would put them, I would put them one and two by far. And then it, I don't think it's a close third. And you know, if I'm being biased, I think we are the close third, because at least we got a quarterback. We might not have nothing else, but at least we got, we do have the quarterback. All the other, all the other job fires, they they have question marks that they either don't have a quarterback or they have a question mark and like the Giants. You got dark, but Dark State hurt. So it's to me, it's like it's a question mark. So yeah, I would say, but you're right. I think it is Baltimore and Atlanta. And I also know, I think I would. The problem with Atlanta is Atlanta don't have a quarterback, but they got everything else.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

Problem with Baltimore is they got a quarterback, but he just got he's got a slash head coach problem.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

So oh no, but yeah, I think it is them two.

SPEAKER_02:

So, but before we talk about specific jobs, who they might should get, there's two head coaches that was fired that's looking like they're gonna go get a head coaching job again. For the most part, usually I'm a guy's like, if you get fired, you know, go back down and be a coordinator and work your way back up. There's special occasions that I can understand. Hey, it just wasn't right, come over. Um, obviously that game last Sunday night, it was it was basically a loser gets fired. Job, I believe both of them coaches would have got a job right after. Um Harbaugh, he got fired, and his phone, his agent said that the phones were ringing off the hook for his services, and Kevin Safinski. I'm okay with those two guys getting fired and picking back a job. Kevin Safinski's a good coach. He was been a coach of the year, just ain't worked in, just ain't worked in Cleveland, probably. Is he gonna get one? I don't know. I know Harbaugh's for sure getting one. I'd be okay with if Kevin Safinski gets one.

SPEAKER_03:

What about Raheem Morris? Because Atlanta came on strong towards the end of the year. I mean, they won the division.

SPEAKER_02:

Atlanta, they was they did tie tie taking kind of three-way tie for the division. I was a little uh surprised about that. One like, why like it's crazy? I would have been less surprised if Aaron Glenn got fired because the way they looked at the end of the season was horrible. They wouldn't get anything, he's a DB coach, and they didn't get a single interception all season.

SPEAKER_03:

Crazy, not one. Man, they did trade their best corner, but still let's be for real. The Jets shouldn't have fired Aaron Glenn, Aaron Glenn, because of the fact they gave him they well, not even that. You gave him nothing to work with, and you trained him to be your two best players on no side of the ball, on neither side of the ball, did they give him a solid piece to work with? Because, like you said, the two pieces that they had, they tried to wake. So, what what you gonna find him for? You're gonna hire you gonna hire a new coach to go through the same thing he just went through, you might as well let him ride it out now. Him not getting that interception is kind of crazy. If he was a you know, T East coach, yeah. But I'm surprised you guys say Raheem Morris, because I don't think I don't think Raheem Morris desired, I don't think Raheem deserved to get fired. I don't think uh Cleveland coach, because I ain't gonna I don't even want to mispronounce brothers' last name.

SPEAKER_02:

Kevin Slapanski.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, Kevin. I ain't I don't think he should get fired either. Um you knew with Harbaugh that it was gonna be a strong possibility because you out you heard all the rumors. He's been there 18 years, too. You heard you heard all the talk. They was gonna fire him before then Lamar came in and turned the whole season around. So it was turning the whole franchise around again. So it was already like I wasn't surprised when he got fired. I was surprised, but I wasn't, if that makes sense. Like, it's still shocking that they went through with it, but I wasn't surprised they actually went ahead and out that they uh was discussing it or did it.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. But uh, so obviously Arizona, it looks like they're getting rid of Kyle Murray. Who you think they might go after? I haven't heard anybody who they hired or who they've interviewed yet. No, anything, anything use.

SPEAKER_03:

So let's be real. Harbaugh's gonna be the choice for every every job. Right. Harbaugh ain't gonna, he can't coach everywhere. So really, realistically, I think the best is to say where we think Harbaugh's gonna go. With with Arizona, as far as like with QB situation, it's also uh he played for Tennessee, played back up for Green Bay now. Uh Malik Malik Malik Malik Willis, he's gonna get paid this offseason. Trey Lance had the opportunity in the last week 17 for the Chargers when he started, he had a chance to get paid. He messed himself up. Malik Willis is going to get paid. Where do you if you Malik and then you Malik Willis is gonna have his opportunity to go wherever you want to go? And it's like, do you want Mendoza coming out of Indiana? Or uh Las Vegas, their job is open. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. We forget all about them. Yeah, or uh what's the boy? Moore from Oregon. So those is really like the three quarterback options. The two the two rookies and uh Willis. Yeah, because I don't because Kirk Cousins, I don't see Kirk Cousins get charged because simple fact Phoenix is gonna be out half a year or two. What are we gonna we gonna trade you and not have a quarterback?

SPEAKER_02:

No, not around without those weapons. You need uh Atlanta's so dang talented. I really like that job. I don't know who they'll get, but no no, it's a lot of jobs open. Um, obviously, Pete Curl out failed to mention Pete Curl got fired. I I didn't agree with that hire to begin with. A little unfortunate that he didn't only he only made it one season, but that might be the end of his career coaching career. Yeah, he'll be under Hall of Fame, no worries. But obviously, we talk about these old teams, but we're gonna focus in on one team because we have a fan of that team. Q. Who do you want coaching the Tennessee Titans next season?

SPEAKER_03:

Who do I want to coach? It's hardball, but I don't think we're gonna get hardball. I don't think we're gonna get hardballed. If you for some reason, I keep hearing hardballing the Giants. I don't know why he would take that job, but I keep hearing Harbaugh on the Giants. So if we can't get Harbaugh, I know they interviewed this they're trying to interview J uh Jason Garrett. No, they're trying to interview McUh McCarthy, also close to Mike McCarthy. That's a no for me. I like Raheem Morris, because his team is gonna fight him. His team's gonna fight him. So I feel like it put us in a better standard. So if I have my choice, it will be Raheem Morris. His name came up too because we got I said it the first time. You told me hell no. I'm gonna get there because they said because you know we got that rookie quarterback, and it makes sense. Yeah, they'll say still hell no. Now he could be the offensive coordinator. You know who uh he ain't gonna get a head job, but head coaching job, but uh Brian Flores.

SPEAKER_02:

You you think he's gonna get a head coaching job even after he sued the NFL?

SPEAKER_03:

I said he's not gonna get a head coaching job. Yeah, he's gonna get a head coaching job. He sued the NFL. A boy, he's gonna be the highest paid defensive coordinator of all time, but he ain't gonna come on down to Dallas.

SPEAKER_02:

We need you, big dog.

SPEAKER_03:

We need you. Uh, and then your boy, uh just got this guy from Miami.

SPEAKER_02:

Mike McDaniels.

SPEAKER_03:

I don't know if he got another head coaching job.

SPEAKER_02:

I don't think so. Uh the first thing I heard was the uh Detroit Lions hit him up. He's trying to be the offensive coordinator, which I would not mind that.

SPEAKER_03:

It would make so much sense. Yeah, they they might be Super Bowl next year if they get him. Just being honest. So yeah, but yeah, no, uh, I would love I would love Raheem Morris or yeah, that's it. That's all I get because I don't want McCarthy. I I would take McCarthy. I would say I would take McCarthy. I don't really want McCarthy. I do not, I'm not taking Jason Gurr.

SPEAKER_02:

No, all right, understandable. Uh then we then we talked about the teams that aren't in the playoffs. The playoff season is here, one of the best times of the year. We actually have uh five days straight of winner-go-home games, you know, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. So we're eating good. We eating real good. But uh the playoff practice set, Denver is the number one seed in the AFC, the Seattle Seahawks is the number one seed in the NFC. These matchups, we got Green Bay going to Chicago on Saturday, we got the 49ers going to Philly, we got the Panthers hosting the LA Rams, we got the Steelers hosting the Texans, we got the Jaguars hosting the Buffalo Bills, and we got the New England Pages hosting the Los Angeles Chargers. Which of these first round, which of these wild card matchups are you most excited for and that you'll be most interested in?

SPEAKER_03:

You're gonna make I'm gonna go I'm gonna go Buffalo Jaguars. The other choice was 49 as Eagles, but I'm gonna go Buffalo Jaguars because there's one simple fact. If not, when Josh Allen, if not now, Josh Allen, win. This young hey, Burrow ain't here, Lamar ain't here, Patrick Mahomes ain't here. Three biggest ops. This yo year. You better make it work. So, yeah, nah, that's why uh uh that's the game for me.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, uh, I'm I I will agree with you 100%. I'm actually very interested because the Jackson and Jaguars are red hot. I hopped off the bandwagon as soon as they started to get hot. Crazy how they do me, ain't it? But uh the Jaguars are red hot. John Shallon, he I mean, his team around him isn't great, but they say he's Superman, so he's gonna have to be Superman to put up the cape. I'm also looking forward to the oldest rivalry in the game, they say. Uh Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers. Apparently, it's supposed to be like feel like nine degrees up there on Saturday night, and it might snow. So I'm glad I will be watching it from the comfort of my own home. So those are the two games I'm looking forward to it. Uh, but who do you think will be in the playoff in the Super Bowl? Yeah, but we just got to the first round. You want me to make predictions already? I don't think it's gonna be in the Super Bowl. I don't want your Super Bowl winner. Who do you think can make it to the first round?

SPEAKER_03:

I know shit. Oh shoot. Um I'm gonna say Texas and Eagles.

SPEAKER_02:

I I'm gonna rock, I'm gonna work with the Jaguars and the Rams. Yeah, I'm gonna go Texas Eagles. All right, so this week. I'm super excited for the NFL playoffs. Uh, are we gonna do some NFL Pickles for this for the playoffs? You already know. All right, so let's go ahead and knock them out.

SPEAKER_03:

All right, first up, uh Rams and Panthers.

SPEAKER_02:

I see I just said I got the Rams going to the Super Bowl, so I'm gonna go with the Rams.

SPEAKER_03:

Alright, uh I'm going to go. I'm gonna go to the Rams, even though I really want the Panthers to win. They did win earlier this year versus the Rams. All right, Packers versus Bears. I got the Bears. Alright, bet, bet, bet. Uh the doo doo. I'm gonna go with the Packers. Alright, uh, Bills and Jaguars.

SPEAKER_02:

You said you got uh I got Jacksonville going, I mean, I got yeah, I got Jacksonville going to the Super Wars, I'm going with Jacksonville.

SPEAKER_03:

Alright, bet I am going to go I'm gonna go with the Bills. Cool, uh 49ers and Eagles. 49ers. Alright, cool. I'm gonna I guess I have to go with the Eagles even though I can see 49ers winning this. Alright, this is Patriots. Patriots. Uh yeah, I am going with Pat too because I don't really trust the tourist. Alright, and then last one, Texas versus Steelers.

SPEAKER_02:

That D-line gonna have Aaron Rodgers running for his life. I'm going with the Texans.

SPEAKER_03:

Of course, I have to go with the Texans, which I am and they're about to try change next week.

SPEAKER_02:
