You guys know I am joined by the man the myth the legends himself, Captain Hater Q. How are you doing on this fine day?
SPEAKER_01No one do what it is. You already know the bad. It's your boy Mr. Bear. I'm trying to get my people pay in uh 2026. But I'm good, man. Uh, real quick, a little housekeeping situation. Um, if y'all want to hear Dion talk about something non-sports related, he was on the latest episode of the Mixed Vibes Podcast, preaching, you know what I'm saying, me, of course. And then, you know, your boy Quaggy and then Jersey. Shout out Jersey and uh shout out Quag too as well. But yeah, if y'all wanna hear Dion give us something more than just the sports, he had some interesting tags about Neo and uh Trace How said y'all go over and hop on the Mixed Vives Podcast.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. You know, I don't know. I dabbled a little bit of everything, but I mean we dabbled a lot of the sports world too, as we're gonna talk about Saturday night's main event. Uh, we're not gonna do our confidence point predictions, you know, it's just a Saturday night's main event, a network special, as they say that's gonna be on the Peacock. But it's a no decent little show, but I gotta ask you Q, now we and probably many others that are listening are probably gonna be dealing with a nice little snowstorm this weekend. But I gotta ask you, will you be watching Saturday Night Night's main event live?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, one, yes. Two, mainly also because of the weather that is going on, they moving all games up for the most part. So it's gonna be a window where ain't no games gonna be going up. So, yeah, I'm gonna be watching it live.
Cody Rhodes vs Jacob Fatu Scenarios
SPEAKER_00But yeah, I will also be watching it live. It is, you know, in Montreal. So, I mean, they in a cold place, but they're not dealing with the weather that we apparently about to deal with. But 8 p.m., I'll be watching live. But three matches, you gotta think there's gonna be a fourth match added. We'll speculate that here in a second, but let's talk about the three matches we got. Uh let's talk about this first match. I just I don't know what they're gonna do. It's gonna be Cody Rose versus Jacob Fatou. This is a money match. Surprising they put it on a certain next main event, but I'm not upset. But my concern, not my concern, but my thing is I have no idea who they're gonna get to win this, and I'd be shocked if some one of these people get a clean win over the other. Because Jacob just came back. You gotta keep him strong, and Cody's Cody. Like, I don't think he's taken a clean pin since he's been in WWE since his return. But what's your thoughts on this money match that they just put it on a Saturday night's main event?
SPEAKER_01So my thought was that Drew McIntyre was going to interfere in this match, and that's how nobody was going to get pinned, and nobody was gonna take that L. But I also forgot that there's a fight of four-way on this card that his building for Drew's next opponent. So I don't think Drew comes out. So I really don't know how this match ends. Well, I if we was putting predictions on it, I think I would go with Cody.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But like you said, you don't want Jacob to look, you don't want Jacob to look weak. And I'm asking you, is Jacob a heel? Is he a face right now?
SPEAKER_00He's a he's a he's a tweener. I say he's a he's just a he's just a guy you don't want to mess with, a bad, they call probably a badass. But I probably I I'm gonna just I think it's gonna be a no contest, probably. Okay. My best guess, I guess. I just I can't imagine either of these guys, either one of these guys taking a pen right now.
SPEAKER_01Follow-up question. Do you think Cody turns heel? Because you know there's been rumors of Cody coming heel.
SPEAKER_00Eventually, I don't think it's I mean, shit, it wouldn't be a bad idea to do it for WrestleMania season, and I think about it.
SPEAKER_01It's something different. It's something fresh. Everybody was saying Cody had got stale. This would give it a whole different pop. I don't know if I'm ready for Cody to go heel yet. I will I kind of want Cody to be the baby face that then ain't got a title. He's doing other feuds, having other situ other storylines, so it ain't just focusing on the title, whatever the case may be. But I just I thought about it. What if Cody turns heal in this match? Because we still ain't revealed who uh who put Jacob out of action.
Women’s Tag Title Picture And Rhea vs Io
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Drew claimed it wasn't him. Jacob thinks it was him, but Drew's like, it wasn't me. So but we'll see. It's interesting. It's very interesting. But I'll be watching, I'll be interested to see who they're gonna actually get to take this L if they do. But there is some, there is a match with consequences, two of them to be exact, but let's talk about the title match. Just a the women's tag team title is on the line. It is real Ripley versus EOSCA. Rear Ripley and EOSCA versus Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez. So before we talk about this match in particular, I know you didn't watch it. You didn't watch Unreal on Netflix. I understand why you wouldn't want to watch it. It actually gives away a lot of stuff. This one talked about basically from WrestleMania to Tummer Slam last year. But since we're talking about Eosky, there was a part, because she has a little portion in the show. It was a part where her warm-up before she worked out was a five-minute headstand. And I just, my mouth was on like five-minute headstand. She talked about, yeah, it's pretty hard. Like she, you know, she's a five-two woman with a very soft voice and sweetheart. She's just talking about doing this five-minute headstand. I'm watching, like, you do a five-minute headstand? Like, yeah, that's basically like her warm-up. I'm like, huh. That's why you're so great in the ring. But I thought that was interesting. I ain't want to give away too much of the Unreal Show, but I did want to mention that because I know this is a EOSky stand podcast account. If you guys wasn't aware, we are very big fans of her, but I saw that. I was like, oh my God, that's why she's so good in the ring. But give me your thoughts on you know her handstand and this match.
SPEAKER_01The handstand, like you just said, SO's why she's the greatest female wrestler out right now. Just without a question. Because she she's like, it's hard, but uh, you know, I can do it. Everybody else in the world be like, I ain't doing that.
SPEAKER_00I can maybe get you a minute.
SPEAKER_01Maybe. Oh boy, so it might give me nothing. But anyways, uh, as far as this match. It's crazy. You just said we a you know, stand account. I mean, stand uh probably I kind of want to leave them to win. Yeah, um I don't know why. So I I'm not a uh maybe it's just me, but I'm not a uh I think the judgment day should break up. I think the judgment day should not yet anyway, especially because JD ain't there. I think they should stay together, stay packed, stay impact. And I like what they're doing with Rocky up and her in the title picture. Why not have Live and Roxanne win the titles because that those are the two that they eventually gonna put against each other. So why not have them uh run with the tag team titles?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Just to give the storyline more juice to say, hey, they was tag team champions, former tag team championship at one time. Of course, I don't think at this time they want EO and Rhea to lose. So I don't think it's going to happen, but I would like to see the judgment day winning.
SPEAKER_00One thing I will say, we're building to, we've been building to for a while. There's a story that Rhea Ripley has never beat EOSCA one-on-one. We're getting that match. I don't think that match necessarily needs a title. And they could probably do that at this WrestleMania. I can see Rhea Ripley turning, you say Cody Rose turning hill. I can see Rhea Ripley turning ill. So you think, but do you think it's happening now? I mean, it we're at WrestleMania season, dog. It's about to start heating up quick, fast, and in the hurry. True. You're right. You you are, yeah, you you are right.
SPEAKER_01Okay, you're right. I just don't know if I want I don't know if I'm right now. I don't know if I really want to see them go at it again. Maybe put a little time in between it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah, I feel you.
SPEAKER_01Just maybe a little bit like the like kind of the same thing with Cody and Roman for me. I don't really want them to see them at WrestleMania right now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Which I also I heard, I don't know how true it is, but it that was the plan. It sounds like they scrapped it. They scrapped it because part of the reason they scrapped it is because them two couldn't. I ain't gonna say them two. Let me not say it's them two, but the parties couldn't equal uh agree on uh like what the finish would be or what the story should be. So they they scrapped it, which makes sense, but that's why I just same thing with Cody and Romans, the same thing I would say about Rhea and EO. Maybe give it some time, maybe WrestleMania next year, yeah. Or maybe SummerSlam, give it. I just think they should give it some time in the summer.
Fatal Four-Way Stakes And Picks
SPEAKER_00Cool. But yeah, uh I I'll probably if I had to pick, I'd probably just go with Rhea and Eo. Maybe we start this judgment day breakup a little bit sooner. Finn Balor got a chance to being a single star again. Maybe maybe he wants to stay like that, but we will see. Um, the obvious what's more than likely going to be the main event, should be the main event, it's the Fatal 408 for the number one contender spot for Drew McIntyre's WWE championship that will be held at the Royal Rumble the following week. We got the newcomer, Trick Williams, we got the old head and Randy Orton. We got we got the we got the old, old and age, but the somewhat newer guy in the Damien Priest. And we got Sami Zayn, the hometown kid. I I'm it's it's obvious Sami Zayn is gonna win. It's obvious. I just know it's gonna be a pretty good match, though.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. Okay, let me put it like this. I don't Trick and Damian, it's it's not gonna be Trick or Damian. It's just not it's not gonna be neither one of them. So it boils down to is it gonna be Sammy, Sammy Zayn, or Randy Orton? Storyline-wise, I think it would be better if it was Randy Orton. Because him and Drew has some history. And it also gets Sammy that I lost my because you know he Chicago Cubs, lovable loser. If he loses this opportunity in front of his home, his home fan, his home crowd, and then still has to like go to Royal Rumble, let's say and lose, but finally get his break at the elimination chamber. Whatever the case may be. Um I I think that would be better for the storyline. But I I'm with you. If we put prediction points on, if we would, I think I would pick examining.
Indiana’s Shocking Title And Program Expectations
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean it's simple. You you see you see it, it's clear as day. Um, but we'll see. We're just gonna have to see what happens on Saturday night's main event. Me and Q will both be watching live, probably snowed in. I pray it's not too bad, but I am praying for all the people that are in the path of this winter storm. But let's go ahead and switch it over to what happened on Monday. Q, I gotta ask you. Yeah, it happened. The probably the unthinkable Indiana, one of the worst teams to grace a college football field as a power four team, win the national championship. Are you a believer and are you excited for the eventual movie that comes out in probably what 2045 called Fusion's 2?
SPEAKER_01Well, you think it's gonna be 45? I think it's gonna be 27. This is the way this is gonna happen. The way stuff moves so quick nowadays. Can I just first tell you that I'm angry?
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01As we I don't I'm I descended on this body sometimes. But I think the thing that's made that's making me like dislike Indiana more is one is Court, we know they blocked, they not uh they backed out of the schedule with the Louisville games. But then it's all these Louisville fans and these Kentucky fans that's rooting for Indiana as if that's like, you know, they close to us, so I won't see them get it. Bro, them fans don't like y'all. Like just straight up, they look at y'all, especially them Kentucky fans, they really don't like Indiana fans really don't like Kentucky fans. And then it's like all these Indiana fans coming out of nowhere. You where y'all been this whole time? This school ain't never won that, and they could have been using y'all support in them stands all these years because they was losing. These people went to the tailgates and then would go home. They wouldn't even go to the stadium. It's right, sir. And now all of a sudden all of y'all Indiana fans, and now y'all selling out South Beach, selling out uh South Beach Man in South Beach because of the fact y'all team made it. You know how to do it. And then somebody was like, man, them Miami fans is tripping. Why wouldn't they got a chance to be in there to watch their team play? First off, if I get these tickets for 500 and then I can sell them to somebody for 2500, I'm gonna sell these tickets for 2500. I mean, you can't get this pay by means necessary. This is some business investment at this point. You know what I mean? These people won't do it. But yeah, man, I still hated him. Ain't nothing changed. Congratulations to them. Uh Mendoza.
SPEAKER_00Had himself aheadsman moment.
SPEAKER_01He had his efforts moment, and I'm gonna say something. Oakland might have them a quarterback.
SPEAKER_00Vegas, Vegas.
SPEAKER_01I mean, Vegas, you know, look, they still open race to me. You know what I mean? But no, Vegas, Vegas, Vegas might actually have them a quarterback.
SPEAKER_00I agree.
SPEAKER_01If they I they got Brock Browns, give him an you know that he got a safety blanket, he got Genty. Give him a line, please. I was giving us a take Mendoza with that number one overall pick. The rest of your draft need to be nothing but offensive linemen. Yep. And maybe a defense alignment so it they ain't on the field trying to score 40 points like Cincinnati.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know what I mean? Get offensive alignment and defense alignment, maybe it's so you know what I'm saying. You could get some sacks and you could prevent your quarterback from getting sacked. I think that's what they need to focus on.
SPEAKER_00Maybe get you a wide receiver one in free agency because y'all need what they know.
SPEAKER_01No, uh, you know what though, I don't think it's a good idea because most of the time I feel like a lot of times when people pay for a round receiver one, take Tennessee for an example, they don't, I ain't gonna say a bust, but it's the money ain't well spent.
SPEAKER_00You're right, you're right.
SPEAKER_01If I'm not saying that they bust, they're not good players, you know what I'm saying? They they end up being good players, but you end up over you paying, you end up overpaying.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00Um you're right, you're right. They my suggestion, you might, you know, there's a guy in um San Fran that hasn't played all season, you might can get it for a cheap, for the super cheap. You might have it for the super cheap.
SPEAKER_01That's a great point. That's a that would be a great pickup as well. Yeah.
Warriors, Kuminga, And Jimmy Butler’s ACL
SPEAKER_00Might get a point too. If I was Vegas, I might consider that. But um, I I was I was rooting for Indiana, but not like I really wanted them to win. I wanted, I'm glad that it wasn't like the same old, same old Bama LSU opera. I like that. But it also, as I rooting for them, I'm thinking like, okay, Louisville. We we we from my perspective, I felt like, okay, our goal is that we're very capable of doing. Let's just make the let's just make the playoffs. We make the playoffs a couple times, so then we can maybe change our expectations. Let's just let's just get in there a couple times and see what happens. But I ain't gonna lie, my goal low-key changed. Like, I ain't they they won it all. I ain't just trying to get to the playoffs, dog. Like I'm trying to do. Now, I'm now I'm gonna tell you myself again. We we need to just get to the playoffs. I'm not gonna put Louisville football in the same basket as I put women's basketball and volleyball. With Louisville, women's basketball and little volleyball, they can make the final four or the championship game all they want. I don't care. We got women to do. We got too many runner-ups for women's basketball. We got too many runner-ups for volleyball. You know, with volleyball already? Yeah, I'll write I'll write that with volleyball. Like, I'm like that. Especially, I'm I'm sure you would like how many women's final fours we got? We got at least five.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so if we a little tangent real quick. Excuse us, y'all. But for a little women's basketball, I think it's UConn and South Carolina are always gonna be able to out recruit us. I think it's gonna be a final four, yeah. Like, I get mad when we don't make it to the final four. I don't think I'm there with women's basketball that it's championship and bus.
SPEAKER_00It's it's not it's yeah, it's my mind says more so like I don't really care about the final four. Like, we make it to the final four, cool. Like, we've been to the final four enough times. Who the first couple times, oh no, we made it to the final four, cool. Oh, we done run it up. We've been to run it up, what, at least three times? We've been to run it up. I know we lost to UConn at least once or twice, and we lost to somebody else a couple years ago.
SPEAKER_01We were undefeated. We like we had two losses, both of them you got.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so it's like, come on, so I'm cool. Like, just this my mind. If we go to the final four, I ain't gonna pop no champagnes. That's how that's hot. All right, we made it to the final four, let's win it all. That's how I said. Now, my expectation, I want to be like, hey, I don't just want to make the playoffs. But I'm still we can make the playoffs, but I'm a believer, because at first I was like, let's win the national championship, uh, it's gonna it's gonna take some years to do it. We gotta get to get to the playoffs at least a couple of times. Then I feel like we can win the national championship. I ain't like that no more. We get to the national championship, I won't see us win it off. It's probably not gonna happen, but that's as that's what that game, that's what this Indian Last his season done for me is giving me a little bit more hope that we can actually win one. Because that's the first time, that's the first first time champion since the 1996 Florida Gators.
SPEAKER_01So I'm I with Louisville, I'm not there yet as far as like we can win the championship yet. I'm still like it's no reason for us not to be in the playoffs. That's where I'm at with little football. But the one thing I will say that I did like about Indiana winning the championship is I'm glad the SEC didn't win it because it's it's just better here, or it's just more here. What I forgot what the saying is for the SEC, but it just means more. It just means more. We the social media and ESPN, they do all of this stuff about bigging up the SEC. And I get it, ESPN has this bigger contract with the SEC, so they want everybody to feel like the SEC is the cool degree or whatever you say. But the case might but the case is these other conferences play good football, too.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_01So I just me. Just me. I am glad the SEC didn't win it.
Steve Kerr Seat Heat And Knicks Coaching Friction
SPEAKER_00I am, I'm definitely glad the SCC win it. They got off their high horse a lot. Paul Farm mode. He is um he's been pretty sick the past couple seasons. But the Big Ten, they about to get a little big head here in a little bit. We need to ACT, we gotta do something. We gotta get them off their high horse. We can't let the Big Ten go four in the roll. Just want to point that out. But uh yeah, the college football season has ended. Uh I thought there was the opportunity that you know the the championship game was gonna end at January 1st, but they already know it's already mapped out to like the next four years. And apparently the that the national championship game is gonna be like January 20th next year, something. So it's getting later and later. I think it's mapped out for at least the next four years. So I thought maybe we could get that. We'd be done at January 1st, at least by 2027, 2028. That happened. So we're gonna have to deal with these uh late championship games for at least the next couple years, unless somebody comes and changes something. But speaking of things that are changed, the Golden State Warriors had something that changed. They know Johnson Kaminga, we all know he demanded a trade. He didn't want to be there really last offseason, but you know, he decided, okay, cool, sure. Uh I'll take the I'll take the paper. I'll take the paper and stay. He's like, you know what, just go ahead and get me up out of here once, you know, once he was ready to get traded. But Jimmy Butler, one of my favorite players. Shout out. I uh thoroughly enjoyed his playoff runs a couple years. He made me enjoy watching those playoff runs, but he got an ACL injury. He's the season. You said it yourself, Q. On this here podcast. John Kamiga can basically do what Jimmy Butler does. Probably at the same level because Jimmy Butler can be very elite, but they have the same skill set. So with Jimmy Butler out, I did see, I see the report. Johnson Comiga said he still wants to wants to trade. He's still not rocking with Steve Kerr. Do you think if you Steve Kerr, if you the owners of the Warriors, if you're the general manager of the Ghost State Warriors, you can find a way to bend that relationship because you need them now. Or you just you gotta bite the bullet. Because if they trade, if they trade to me, if they trade John DeCamiga with no Jimmy Butler, this season's it's raps. It was already raps low-key, but it's really raps.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I wouldn't say raps if Jimmy Butler was healthy, because in fact we know we know what playoff Jimmy is. As long as they make it to the playoffs, and then you got stealth, you know what I mean? Uh, would you call it considered them favorites and no, but you they got a punch a chance because they got two dudes that's gonna punch. You feel what I'm saying? And well, that's technically they got three, but that's a whole nother.
SPEAKER_00That's literally the type of situation.
SPEAKER_01So you said mend the relationship. I don't think you can mend that relationship between Steve Kern and Jonathan Gaming. It that relationship it has basically become it is what it is, right? There's no there's no mending it, there's no them two getting on the same page for the greater good. I think if you own the ship, you go to Steve Kerr and be like, you gotta play. Because Steve Curry's thing was you can't play Draymond, Jimmy Butler, and Jonathan together at the same time.
SPEAKER_00No, couldn't. I mean, understandable. You could, yeah, but you but you could have found you, but you could have found Johnson. You could have found some some minutes. You could have definitely found a 15. He's getting he's getting DMPs.
SPEAKER_01He's no, not just DMPs, DMPs coaching decisions. Yeah, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00You could have you could have found some 10 15 somewhere.
SPEAKER_01Jimmy Butler gotta go to the bench, Draymond gotta go to the bench. You could have you could have made it work. You just didn't want to make it work for whatever the reason is. But if I'm ownership, I'm gonna see Curry. You're gonna have to play. Because in fact, we wanna at least attempt to make the playoffs. He gives us the best opportunity to make the playoffs because he at least knows the system somewhat. You know what I'm saying? And you gotta give him some leeway. You can't just be out here giving him the quick hook. Then you go to Jonathan Camino, be like, look, I know you're gonna get traded. We're not gonna try to straight up tell him, we're not gonna charge you. Especially because not only is he on he fits with Jimmy, he can fit with Jimmy Bella do, but he's also on a good contract, he's also on like a team-friendly contract because next year is a team option, and he only gets paid like I think it's 22 million off top of my head. It ain't too many players they gonna find that's making that type of money that can come in and help them get to the playoffs. Jonathan Minga is their best option. Hey, you come in, we'll revisit it, we will revisit it this summer. Jonathan Minga is going to have to play. Now the question is, and I'm interested to hear your thoughts on this, is do you trade Jimmy Butler? Because he tour is ACL. He's gonna be out real and no shade. Jimmy Butler is a little bit older.
SPEAKER_00He's like 30, he's like 35, 36.
NFL Carousel: McDermott Firing And Bills Fallout
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he Jimmy Butler might. You feel me? Which is crazy to think he's a little bit older. But anyway, it's hard coming back from those injuries, period. Add on the age, it does make it more difficult. Now, Jimmy Butler's Jimmy Butler, he's the type of dude that I'm gonna come, I'm gonna overcome.
SPEAKER_00So he's uh 36 exactly.
SPEAKER_01Okay, now do you trade Jimmy Butler as basically an expiring contract? Because he's also on a two-year deal, too. All they your state, all their contracts basically come up at the end of next year. So do you trade him in? Do you go get of course the the obvious name? Everybody comes with that because that it makes the most sense.
SPEAKER_00You think the Mavs is gonna trade? I mean, we'll we'll talk about it. We can talk about we can go ahead and talk about that. Uh Rich Paul, you you got a lot of, I know you LeBron's agent, but you got a lot of dip on your chip here recently, dog. I a lot. We we really haven't talked about the wild stuff, but you going on podcasts claiming that teams need to do this and that, and you you you got a lot of dip on your chip, Mr. Paul. No offense. But he but he he's telling the Maz, get Anthony Davis up out of there. But if you the Maz, you trading for Jimmy Butler with you. Obviously, you got you got Kyrie. They already talked about, you know what, let's just shut Kyrie down for the rest of the season. No, there's no point in bringing him back. You I don't think you trade for Jimmy Butler. If if he didn't have the ACL, sure.
SPEAKER_01No, but you not try you not trying, but you're looking at it as like uh we what we gonna like we getting Jimmy Butler back. I'm looking at it as you get you get the headache of the Anthony Davis is gonna eventually cause. You get him out of here, then you also you gonna look for compensation. So you're gonna look for Jurassics, or you're gonna look for like uh you what's pods? I can't think of a track pronouncing his last name, but you get you get a young player and you get oh, so you it's not is you're not just you can't you're not just doing Jimmy Butler, you try and get Jimmy Butler. I'm getting more Jimmy Butler in something. I could I don't I uh I ain't gonna look at the trade machine, but what if they trade? I it wouldn't make sense for the Mavs to trade for Camingo, because in fact he kind of does the same thing that um Flag Flag Cooper does. So it wouldn't make sense to trade him. But if you get pods, you get him a guard that go that play alongside him, and then you get some draft conversation. Because also, if you Dallas, do you want to be good this year? Or do you want to get you another high lottery pick? Trade Anthony Davis, get him out of there and take you or injured Jimmy Butler, get you another high draft lottery pick. Jimmy Butler, we just said he might come back next year. You will have Kyrie, so you will have a team of Kyrie, Jimmy Butler, Cooper Flag. Kyrie got a new contract last year? Did he? Yeah, yeah. Kyrie, yeah, would you move?
SPEAKER_00Would you I think if you you talk about low-key blowing it up? Would you move Kyrie?
SPEAKER_01I heard rumors of okay, not rumors, but I was listening to uh Brian Warner says everybody knows I do. And they talked about moving Jimmy uh Kyrie to Detroit because it it gets Cade some like some benefit. Somebody else they could handle the ball, then also can play off the ball because Jordan Abbey has the potential, but he hasn't shown it. Of course, he has some injuries and other stuff or whatever the case may be, but he ain't showed it. If I'm Kyrie, I wouldn't have going to Detroit right now. I wouldn't mind going to Detroit because what they what are they they not giving up none of the young dudes, they probably just gonna give up um some draft picks and salary, which they salary would be probably to Bias Harrison.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So yeah, I I would move, I want Kyrie and AD. Uh the thing about with the whole Jimmy Butler thing, does he ever suit up for the Mavs? I can see them trading for Jimmy Butler and that uh other guy you said, that guard, but I can see him them buying out his contract. Because at that point, I'm going young. I'm trying to get back, I'm trying to be bad again, I'm giving me another lottery pick. I'm going super young and building for the future.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you could. I was gonna say, because then next year he is an expiring contract, so then you would trade him again if you wanted to, or you could I would like to say if I did trade for Jimmy Bulla, he would I don't think he'll suit up, ever have a bath year.
SPEAKER_00He'll suit up for the baths.
SPEAKER_01And that was just an example. Um it could be every device does make the most sense because he's a big that can fit alongside them, but they they might not even trade Jimmy Bulla, they might keep him. It's just a thought that now, it's a thought now that you didn't have before because the fact he's going to miss the rest of this year, he's gonna miss a portion of that yeah.
SPEAKER_00At least he probably won't it ain't gonna be right, but Jimmy Butler, he never really relied on athleticism. He's no, especially he's he's older. It's gonna be tough for him because he's older, but his game was more like he's just a he's an old head out there that can hoop. Like he's not dunking on people. He's he's getting to the rim, getting fouled, going to the free throw line, shooting shots, maybe hitting a tough contestant mid-ranger. He'll probably shoot about two, three, three pointers a game. He'll he'll he's gonna get you eight rebounds, six to eight assists, 18 points, and then in the playoffs, he bumped it up to about 25 points.
SPEAKER_01He got that uh YMCA game. You know the old dude at the wreck, but it's Jimmy Butler. So it's it's like the old dude at the wreck on steroids. You know what I mean? Or the old dude on the rec time 30. You know what I mean? Like he does uh he does a little bit of he's just he stuffs the statue.
SPEAKER_00Yep. And then he turns it up in the playoffs.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but when when the bright lights come out, oh yeah, you he you know he's gonna get busy. Yep.
Falcons Hire Stefanski And Miami’s New Coach
SPEAKER_00But uh his I mean he wasn't playing as much defense as he used to, he's 36. That that probably my biggest concern post ACL, like how much defense are you really about to play now? Cause boy.
SPEAKER_01And then let's be real, Steph Curry ain't getting no younger. Do you really this do you really want to waste this season with Steph Curry and potentially next season? You get those are the questions that they have to ask now. But John Kaminga, you know, you gonna shoot up Playboy. Like you might work as soon as Jimmy Butler got injured, you should already know damn they ain't training me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that like that's what my thought was. Like, oh, that changes things. You can't in my mind, if I'm the ghost, you can't trade them now. No, he's he's gonna be here. Yeah. Uh speaking of uh the ghost they were, we're gonna slide to their coach. There's I've been hearing a lot of rumors, like it might be time. You know, Steve Kerry, he he's he's he's a legend, he's brought up multiple championships. You think it's time for them uh to go ahead and change regimes, or is that it's just gonna be with Steph gone, he's gone. Do you think that's that's how it's gonna be?
SPEAKER_01I said this last week. That man needs to get five. But that man needs to get fired because because of the way he handled this Johnny Comiga situation. I think it's time for him to I think it's time for him to go. I don't think he his contract goes through next year, though. Uh the question, I but how long do we think Steph is playing? So that if if Steph is only gonna play this year and next year, then yeah, Steve Kerr probably gonna ride it out with him. So I mean, that's the better question. Well, not the better question, but I think that's a very important question. How much longer do we think Steph, not even just Steph, how much longer do we think LeBron is gonna be playing?
SPEAKER_00Next year's his last year. And he might not be playing in LA.
SPEAKER_01It did with Steph, same situation. How much longer do we think Steph is gonna play? I think Steph probably got what probably two years left.
Titans Hire Saleh And OC Options
SPEAKER_00It depends on it depends on if he wants to change his hit change his game. Because right now, I mean, he Steph is 37. The thing, the way Steph game is, he's running probably 10 miles, open exagering, like 10 miles a game. Is it is he willing to change his game to be a spot up corner three-point shooter, spot up three-point shooter? And he already it's not even is he willing to change his game. Will the defense even let him do that? Because I what makes Steph dangerous is he's moving around. But if he's a spot up shooter, that's the Steph is already hard. He's hard to guard. But if my man's just gonna be a spot-up shooter, I can guard that.
SPEAKER_01That's what I'm saying. Yeah, but I'll I'll you're right. The question is where you won't change his game. I think he'll maybe not change his game, but take a lesser role and become maybe like option two.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But they gotta get an option one for the thing.
SPEAKER_01I was getting ready to say the problem with that is okay, who gonna who you gonna turn into your option one?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. I I I said on this podcast, I I thought I was smart. I thought Jordan Poole was gonna be that guy. I I take that I would take that one to the head, guys. I'm sorry. I was wrong about that one. I thought Jordan Poole was gonna be the error parrot. Um we gotta talk about another coach at the NBA. It's not on the rundown, but uh, I've been seeing a lot of on the news what's going on with the New York Knicks. They did win the NBA Cup. But apparently, they're not driving with Mr. Brown. They're not driving with Coach Mike Brown. I love Mike Brown, excellent coach, you know, Cleveland, turned them into uh went took them to the finals, did pretty good in LA for a little bit, did really good with the Sacramento Kings, brought them out the uh Ashes, but they back in the grave now with Sacramento. They was alive for a couple for a season or two. They won their big cup, but apparently they're not jiving with him now. They doing player-only meetings, and it's funny. You said it on this podcast. I know. I know I I said I was honest when I said I was wrong about Jordan Poole, but I'm gonna go ahead and let you guys know we was we was right about the whole y'all messed up firing Coach Dead Tony when y'all did. Cause he he Tibbs. Oh I said Mike De Tony. Coach T I don't know why, but my phone got it. But yeah. Coach uh it was Tibbs when y'all did. You what do you like, man?
SPEAKER_01Mike Brown was wrong, duh. Yeah, dream my green and Carl got into it in the game, and then you gonna go after the game hugging up on Draymond Green. You don't if you gonna if you gonna do that, then you need to do that behind the closed doors. You don't need to do that on the court where your team can see it after it was a a tough game in that situation happened, and then also him and cat don't ain't rocking. It just is what it is. Him and cat ain't rocking. So if your your second best player, who is an all-star caliber player, if y'all two not getting along, mainly because I don't think cat's getting the touches that he wants or the the way he wants, and Mike Brown ain't even trying to adjust to that. So you already coming in shaky, but you Mike Grill was wrong, just point blank, period. Ain't no ain't no if as if about it. You don't do that, especially after something happened. If they had just played a regular game and he went over there and dapped him up, cool. But you go over and depth that man Draymond up, I think he, I think he either he pushed Carl and Tales or something, whatever the case may be, but they got into a little situation. Nah, why why do you think your your team is gonna ice you out? So Mike Brown probably gonna get fired. Yeah. Like it's no, I don't, it might not, might not be the day, might not be the month, but by the end of the season, Mike Brown is gonna get fired. And they should well, let me say and they shouldn't have never fired Tibbs. We said it, we said it. But the reason she should have not fired Tibbs is because one, you ain't never been this good, and then you finally got you finally got close, and now you're about to mess up the whole formula, and then Mike Brown wasn't even your first choice. You fired Tibbs and you didn't have your your first choice wasn't solidified.
Ranking Open NFL Jobs And Raiders Intrigue
SPEAKER_00Literally, literally, it was like the third day of free agency when they hired him.
SPEAKER_01You fired your head coach and then try to reach out to every other NBA team to see if they could you could talk to their head coach. You didn't have a plan in place, you fired a coach that had got you to the Eastern Conference Finals to not have you and didn't have a plan in place. Yeah, why would you even think that was a good idea?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and it's crazy. It's it's crazy. That decision might have cost them a finals appearance. Because I mean, right now it's Detroit. We just we like Detroit, me and you, we do like Detroit. They're just young, we haven't seen them. We gotta see it before we believe it. But if Coach Tibbs was still with the New York Knicks, finals. Finals.
SPEAKER_01Without question.
SPEAKER_00But uh NBA coaching, let's go ahead and slide to the NFL coaching carousel. There's some teams getting their coaches. But before we get to those teas that has got to coaches, probably one of the biggest shoes drop. Sean McDermott, the head coach for the Buffalo Bills, was fired. And the Buffalo Bills are only showing they've been talking spicy. One thing they did do, which is kind of crazy, they fired uh Doug McDermott, but they gave the GM, who was both during the same team as Doug, uh promotion, basically, which is kind of odd to me. But also they are they are talking spicy about how Doug was the one that wanted to draft Keon Coleman. He's the reason why he's not developing this, that, the third. We didn't reach out, we reached a playoff wall with uh Sean McDermott, this, that. They're talking spicy. They don't have a coach right now, but let's call it space. It's still an excellent job, even though the ownership is talking spicy. Is it's it's Buffalo and Baltimore right now?
SPEAKER_01This is solely because of the quarterback. That's not what I'm saying. But you said an excellent job. Is it an excellent job? Because simple fact, they just probably they they just we already see that they don't know how to run their organization. And I ain't trying to be mean, but they fried the head coach and acting like the head coach was the problem when you bean, which was GM, was clearly your issue because he didn't drop he didn't give he didn't draft talent. He got he tripped he tripped over Josh Allen.
SPEAKER_00Tripped over it.
SPEAKER_01Did nobody even know Josh Allen was gonna be this good when he was coming out wild? Nope. He tripped B. Just being real. Bean is the issue. Bean is the person who should have got fired. You won't you get rid of both of them, but I only think McDermott should if you was gonna find McDermott. So McDermott getting fired, it's not surprising because we heard it this was gonna be the situation, but it's the surprise important that you fired him this year. Like we talked about like last year they considered firing him. The year before, it was rumbling.
Championship Sunday: QB Injuries And Matchups
SPEAKER_00But cool. Because uh, this was the first year that they won like Josh Allen was six straight playoff games without turning the ball over. To me, from my perspective, this was the first year where the playoff loss was a little bit on Josh Allen because of those turnovers. That especially that egregious one.
SPEAKER_01A little bit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it'll be nice. I was being nice. This was this loss, I would put this a little bit more. I don't like to blame one player, but those those other losses against Patrick Mahomes, especially that one where you left the field with 13 seconds left on that clock with a lead, your defense didn't come too fake. Most of if not all those losses wasn't really on Josh Allen's. The defense didn't really step up. This one, you got some blame, Josh. You got some blame.
SPEAKER_01I was gonna say, we know, little bit, they lost his game because of Josh Allen. Josh Allen is a great player, and he won, he won the MVP last year, which is crazy because he was still second team all the round. But, anyways, that's another conversation about Lations MVP. Josh Allen is a great phenomenal player, and that does not take away nothing from him. But they lost his game because of him. What four turnovers? Four turnovers and Denver Denver still barely won. That's the crazy part. But we're gonna talk about Denver later. Four turnovers. You lost you lost it, you lost the team this game, but that's why he was so choked up in the press conference. That's all it's a lot of fans that it's like they blaming McDermott. But Michael, did y'all see Josh Allen in that post-game press conference? Josh Allen knew it was on him. Yeah. If he knows it's on him, why don't the rest of us want to accept the fact that it's on him?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But like I said, it's not surprising that McDermott got fired. I'm just surprised that he got fired this year. If he had got fired last year, I would have been more understanding of it. This year it wasn't his fault. But I think the situation was they just what they was bet they was button heads and they have been button heads all year. I think McDermott probably was just sick of it because they said he five weeks ago he came in there and was like, hey, we ain't got no talent for that.
SPEAKER_00We ain't got no talent for this little bow.
SPEAKER_01And it's your and it basically it's your fault. The ownership chose to go to the GM. Cool. That was a bad choice. But hey, I ain't I ain't in the building.
SPEAKER_00So, you know So I I still think it's a I'm gonna I'm gonna walk back my word excellent, but the fact that you got Josh Allen makes it appealing. But the issue with that job, more so than Baltimore, they really won't results. Like they ALC Championship, it's like ALC Championship game. You if you don't make it to the AFC Championship game, your job might be on the line year one type stuff. So that's what give it what give me pause about that job.
SPEAKER_01Oh, there's a thing I want to touch on real quick. They said that Sean McDermott wanted that race, uh, Kenya Collin. But if you watch, if you you if you watch the videos, he was in the staff room with the people in management.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, uh to add to it, beeb Beeb said this, his words. I'm glad he ran a 4-6, that means we can get him.
SPEAKER_01You y'all wanted him just y'all can't, and then why you still throwing up throwing a play up under the bus that's on your roster?
SPEAKER_00That was wild. If I'm key on, I'm going to my agent, like, hey bro, give me up out of there. I need one beer no more.
SPEAKER_01Why y'all throwing me under the bus? So y'all saying I didn't develop. Then you put you putting a bullseye on him. So if he don't develop under the next coach, then it's looking like he's the problem.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. If I'm listening, I'm Keon, give me up out of there. I'm here, I'm not doing nothing public. I'm here to my agent. Hey, if you can give me up out of here, give me up out of here.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, they that I wouldn't want that job because what it'll it's messy. Yep.
SPEAKER_00So they are gonna be in a new stadium, so we'll see. But uh, that is not the only job. Uh before we get to yours, T. We got to talk about Kevin Stefansky, you know, former Cleveland coach. He got the Atlanta Falcons job, which I think is an interesting job. I think they have a lot of talent. They're just missing the quarterback. Uh it's funny, because uh Kevin Stefanski has had he has not done a great job with talented quarterbacks for some reason. He's done good with not so talented quarterbacks. Like, well, who's the guy that played at behind Deshaun Watson that actually played decent? He did well with Joe Flacco. Yeah. It just quarterbacks that were really weren't supposed to do well, he's done well. Really couldn't do nothing with uh Deshaun Watson. Really couldn't find his group with Shador. We both think he's talented, but he is a rookie show. But do you think Kevin Safenski and Atlanta Falcons is the right fit? I'm just gonna say I don't think it's the right fit, but hey.
Stroud’s Turnovers And Contract Outlook
SPEAKER_01I actually do because they got so many weapons on offense, and he's an offensive, he's an offensive coach. So I think it's actually a good high-up. They're gonna have to figure out uh let me rephrase this. They have the quarterback situation figured out. I just don't think the quarterback knows he's still gonna be there, and that is Kirk Cousins.
SPEAKER_00I'm taking Kirk is Kirk Cousins for you and not uh Michael Penix. Michael Phoenix is her. He's too his ACL, so he's gonna be. You see Kirk Cousins as the guy that well for next year.
SPEAKER_01Phoenix will Phoenix will probably be the guy going forward after that. But for next year, it is it's gonna be Kirk Cousins.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01I don't like I said, I don't think Kirk Cousins realizes that because I think he wants to be out and be a starting, you know, starting a QB. But I think I actually do think I do think it's a good hire because in the fact they got so many offensive weapons. He does not he does need a good defensive coordinator.
SPEAKER_02Gotcha.
SPEAKER_01Because Mouse Garrett, you know, covers a lot of that up there. Yeah, they don't have a Miles Gard.
SPEAKER_00They got some good players, but they're a Mouse Garrett.
SPEAKER_01They got good players. That's a Hall of Famer. You know what I mean? There's two different things. Uh I do, I think it's a good hire.
SPEAKER_00All right. So uh we've already talked about John Humbo in New York. Uh, but uh Jeff Hadley, the defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers. While I'm talking about the Green Bay Packers, uh, shout out to Mr. LaFleur for getting him a nice little contract extension. You know, you you deserve it, earned it. You you you kind of had about you kind of had the leverage anyways, but congratulations. But he will have to find a new defensive coordinator as Jeff Halfley is going down to Miami to be the head coach. I mean, I don't know. Honestly, he he he had a pretty good defense up around Green Bay. He did have a Michael Parsons, he did have a Rashawn Gary. You think you think that Jeff Halfley to Miami is a good hire? I to me it's a way to see because I just don't know that much about him if he can be a head coach.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. We just got another, like, another coach has got hired too. Um he's a rookie head coach. I don't I don't won't say too much on the case.
SPEAKER_00I don't want to kill him. I I killed Liam Cohen last season. I can't do that to another rookie head coach. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't wanna. Yeah, I ain't gonna kill him. They gotta figure out that roster.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, too probably not gonna be there. Tyreek probably not gonna be there. Dev H he was on the trade block last season. He might be on a trade block this off season.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, dev roster's gonna have so much turnover that I don't even think it's gonna be kind of the same thing with the uh Jess. I'm drawing the block on the name. Um Jesse thank you. Because it's gonna be the out that roster's not gonna be good. No, so I don't think it's gonna be fair. I don't think it's gonna be fair to judge him.
Final Picks, Merch Plug, And Sign-Off
SPEAKER_00Yep. Uh so I agree, but uh another rookie head coach, we got Jesse Mentor, the former defensive coordinator. I just had it, I want to say was it Chargers Chargers Defensive Coordinator for the Chargers will be the headman in Baltimore. My first thought, he gotta find him a good offensive coordinator.
SPEAKER_01Simple as that. I was ready to say, it's it's that simple. That out, and you get get on Lamar's good side if you're gonna keep that job.
SPEAKER_00Yep. Uh well, what officer coordinator is not gonna be is uh coach uh Mike McDaniel's former coach of the Dolphins. He will be with the Chargers. So we will see what's going on with that one, but again, another rookie head coach is just like we both said, you gotta find your good offensive coordinator.
SPEAKER_01Um, you know, if Matt Nagy, because Kansas City just had Eric Eric and me back, if Matt Nagy don't get the head coaching job, maybe he can go be the offensive coordinator in Baltimore.
SPEAKER_00I agree. I agree. Uh uh just um before we talk about your team, we gotta talk about the Cleveland Browns just a second. A lot of it seems like a lot of coaches is backing out of their interviews for the Cleveland Browns. Is that something or nothing to you? It's something, because why would you want them coach? Shut up. But uh for let's go in to the main event. The Tennessee Titans is kind of a two-part with coaches, but the Tennessee Titans, they hire Robert Sala, former head coach of the New York Jets, didn't do well at the New York Jets. But who does well at the New York Jets? Maybe he can have like a Sam Donald resurgence. And though he got out of New York, he did well. So I I'm I'm gonna see how he does. I think he's a solid coach. Look if he on him, because like I said, all I got to go with is what he was in New York, and he wasn't that great in New York. That's all I gotta go with. But just like uh Mr. Jesse Minter for the Baltimore Ravens, you gotta get you a good offensive coordinator. But there is one out there that has rumored that he is interested in a job if he doesn't get a head coaching job, and that's former New York Giant head coach Brian Dayball. He said he wants that Buffalo Bills job. And he basically said if he doesn't get the Buffalo Bills job, I'm going to Tennessee to be the offensive coordinator. My question to you, Q, Tennessee Titan fan, you love your Titans, you want your Titans to be good. How do you feel about Robin Salah as your head coach and the potential of having Brian Dayball as your offensive coordinator?
SPEAKER_01I actually I like the I really do like the hire as Robin Salah. Now, that being said, Sean McDermott was there. We probably could have went and got him. But back it out. Cool. I I like the higher of Robin Salah. His Jets wasn't good, but his defenses was. Okay, so the offensive coordinator. Earlier, I was okay with it, but the more I think about it, I don't think I want him. Because he was the same dude that was in the in the blue tent trying to get Jackson Dart at hurt because he was trying to save his job. I can't have you messing around with Cal Moore or something like that. Because that's our future. You know what I mean? That's that's our future. So that being said, nah, I don't I don't want him. Okay, we get Cliff Cliff Kingsburg. That would be he would be a good offensive coordinator for Baltimore as well.
SPEAKER_00He's open right now. He got he's he's they let him go in in uh Washington. So he has a he's a free agent.
SPEAKER_01I was gonna say, I would like Cliff or I can't even think of who else, but uh not him. I was gonna say Mac Nagy, but McNagy would make sense because he interviewed for the head coach job. And it was it was between them two. So I I that would be undermining Robert's foul that we're gonna bring in the person that we almost hired to be your offensive coordinator.
SPEAKER_00Gotcha. All right. So the coaching positions that are still open in the NFL, it's the Buffalo Bills, the Cleveland Browns, the Las Vegas Raiders, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Arizona Cardinals. Of those five jobs, if you are a potential head coach, which job you want?
SPEAKER_01Pittsburgh, without question. It's without question, is Pittsburgh. I think it's Pittsburgh far on the way.
SPEAKER_00All right. I get I get it. Uh I at this point, I mean, I have my concerns with Buffalo. Pittsburgh, you do you don't gap much there? It's like old team. For some reason, with these five teams, I am very intrigued with the Las Vegas Raiders, especially knowing who my quarterback is gonna be. I'm very intrigued. If I was a coach, I would be a little bit more intrigued by that. Because it's kind of like a a blank canvas, but you got some excellent paint to work with so far. You just you you gotta find that that old line paint. You gotta figure out what you're gonna do with that paint, but you got you got your quarterback paint looking good. You got a running back, got it, you got uh your tight end. You need you might need to get your receiver one. You got it as soon as you walk. First thing I'm doing if I walk when I walk in that door, I'm hitting up Max Crosby trying to smooth some things over. Hey, you hey, you you ain't really gotta go nowhere if you don't want to.
SPEAKER_01ASAP. That's the first thing I'm doing. As soon as they offer me the job. Hey, I got Max's number. Can I go ahead and get that right, right, real, right quick, real quick. Let me go make this phone call. So we can figure that out. But yeah, no. I I think I would put Las Vegas too. I think I would put, even though Buffalo's messy to me, that's why I say Pittsburgh's far and far and above, because they're not messy. I think I would put Buffalo at two, and I think I would put Las Vegas at three. I still have my same feelings about Arizona because they never bad, but they also never good. So you right in the middle of the pack, and I don't know if I want to. You always want to be here.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and no Cleveland Browns, they you know, they always hit the I was right.
SPEAKER_01I didn't feel like we had to mention them because we already knew that was last.
SPEAKER_00You know? We knew that was last. Uh, but we gotta go ahead and talk about Championship Sunday. Specifically, these AFC and NFT championship games. That's so it was some big game, it was some good games last week, but the biggest news, they they said it was the second to last play. It wasn't the second to last play. It took a need to take to last play. It was like the fourth to last play where he did a scramble. Bo Nicks, the quarterback for the Denver Broncos, broke a bone in his foot. He's out for the rest of the playoffs. They gotta go. The name, the name of uh Stenham, Stenham, Jared Stittle. They gotta go with Jared Stittle and Denver fans all over the world are hoping for a Nick Foes treatment. Will he get it? Who knows? But the Denver Broncos will be going against the Doomland Patriots. They they back, they took what three, four years off. So, you know what? Let's go ahead and get back to hosting the ALC Championship games. They back this time with uh Drake May. You said it, Mike Vrabel, they fired OJ Mayo for a reason because Mike Vrabel was out there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Great, great decision by uh Robert Kraft. And then the NLT, we we got the Seattle Seahawks who look like world beaters against the uh 49ers versus the Los Angeles Reams, who has the only quarterback that has won a Super Bowl at Matthew Stafford. How are you feeling about Championship Sunday?
SPEAKER_01I feel let down because the simple fact, even though I don't trust Bone, I still would rather have him at their Denver at their full strength and their full potential. Um I'm not gonna, I'm I'm not everybody else. I'm not gonna completely count Denver out. And the reason I'm not gonna the defense is good. And also, can you until Drake May ain't done it yet? Because it ain't like he's been playing, he ain't playing like a world beater. You know what I mean? He's he's not. He's he playing a little shaky. He playing, he ain't playing bad, but he ain't playing good. So them got a good defense. Maybe they can get some turnovers. The defense might be able to win them some games. And all you need, all you gotta do is not turn the ball over.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you gotta solve defense.
SPEAKER_01And Sean Payton wanted him in the in the room. Not maybe not to be the starter, but Sean Payton saw something in. It was one of the first people Sean Payton got when he went to Denver because, in fact, you know my offense, you know, you know what to expect. You can be a leader, you can help these other quarterbacks come along or come along the way. He might be able to get them uh get high and go, you know, 13 for 20, uh 189 yards with no turnovers. And that could that could win them the game. Because they are recruiting, they can win ugly. So I'm not going to count them out. I will, I am going to pick New England, but I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna, it's not like a foreign and gone away conclusion for the AFC side for me.
SPEAKER_00All right, before we lock in our picks for the NFC championship game and the AFC Championship game, we gotta let's go ahead and take a flashback to the division of week. I just want to talk about one team and one player in particular. Um CJ Shot, you ought to be ashamed of yourself, dog. You had the best defense in the playoffs. All you gotta do is not turn that thing over. We gotta have this conversation. If you are a G, I know Domingo Ryan, he did the right thing. He backed this quarterback and he's our guy. But behind closed doors, what you thinking, bro?
SPEAKER_01You see, it's so hard to find a a val uh a starting value valuable quarterback.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_01He's still your guy. Because you've seen what he's seeing in the rookie season next past two seasons. Has he played good? No. He has shown glimpses. But has he played good? No. That being said, you probably heard his money. Instead of 55 million, he probably closer to 42 now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. Instead, well, first of all, instead of picking up, instead of just getting, because they usually get a contract at the third year. Instead of getting that contract, they just gonna pick up your fifth.
SPEAKER_01Everybody's talking about they I was listening to people talking about they ain't gonna pick up that fifth-year contract. Oh, yeah, they gonna pick up that fifth year option. They're picking up that fifth-year option. The contract extension, extension might not come like normally, but that it would come this offseason. Like after three years, you normally would have come. It's coming. It probably gonna come next year, but he's gonna get that fifth year and they're gonna extend him because that that value you ain't gonna be able to find. But like I said, he played like he did. If he even if he played a little bit better, he that 55 million, 60 million, whatever the case may be, that's coming out the window. He's in the 40 million right now.
SPEAKER_0040 low depending on what these other quarterback, if these other quarterbacks start past the 60 million, he might get low 50.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, he's in to me, he's in that 40 to 51 million dollar range. Yeah, he ain't no more, he ain't going above that.
SPEAKER_00I was just watching that game, like bro, yo D he turned the ball over. His defense gets a turnover right back, and you oh you turn it over again, bro. Yo, defense, you got the best defense. And what's even crazier, that defense ain't gonna be there next year. They about to some of them, some of the people gotta get started getting paid, so which means be there. You had it. Yeah, you had to be uh you just had to be Trent Dilford, dog. You just had to be Trent Dilford. You could do that, it wasn't even what it was. Um also uh the Chicago Bears, y'all got y'all one. Y'all got y'all one. Y'all finally got y'all one. I just want to get congratulate y'all if I finally get a quarterback. Y'all got y'all one. But we go ahead and uh go ahead and do these picks for the championship week.
SPEAKER_01Oh, well, like I said, I I'm going with uh why was I say about the same Buffalo? Oh well, it is not same division, same division. It is not Buffalo. I am going with New I am going with New England. Like I said, I give Denver a chance, but I'm going with New England.
SPEAKER_00Uh I'm gonna I don't really want I hate New England. They they was only bad for a couple seasons. Just because of that, I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with the probably I'm gonna go with Denver and pray that Drake May's not who we say he is just yet. But um, I'm not confident in it, but I'm gonna go with Denver. So uh Denver. Um, and then we got the NLC Championship game. Is this what is in Seattle? This is the game I'm mostly interested in because I think it's gonna be a really good game. Divisional rivals, the Seattle Seahawks versus the Los Angeles Realms. I picked the Los Angeles Realms to not only make it to the Super Bowl, but to win it. I'm scared because the Seahawks looked great, but I have one saving grace that I'm rocking with, which is why I'm rocking with the Rams. Sam Darnold has been a turnover machine this regular season, has yet to be one of the playoffs. I need I need turnover Sam to show up. If turnover Sam show up, we good money. So I got the Rams. I am going so.
SPEAKER_01I'm going with the Seahawks. I'm gonna tell you why. The defense. Even if Sam Darnold turned the ball over two times, I feel like the defense is going to put pressure on uh Matthew Stafford to make him play like he played in that Carolina game that they had during the regular season where he was get he was giving the ball away. Because Sam, Matthew Stafford, he you know, he done changed his image since he'd been in LA.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know what he was in Detroit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, gunslinger.
SPEAKER_01So I I'm going to give it to Seattle. And also the other thing, Seattle can control the clock because in fact they have a great running back.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Kenneth Walker, he showed, he showed out. They didn't want a running back, but Kenneth Walker, he he showed out.
SPEAKER_01He was now the uh pronounced. I know he got hurt. He's dead, but Kenneth Walker is still a really good, I ain't gonna say great. He's a really good running back. He's gonna be the he's gonna be able to control the ball. And don't get me wrong, the Rams got firepower because they got Adams and they got Puka. But I ain't even gonna try to pronounce his name to play for Seattle or wide receiver. Smith and Jibba.
SPEAKER_00Jackson Smith and Jigba.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Jackson Smith and Jigga. He's the best receiver this season. So they got their own, they got their own weapon too, and then they got they don't so Cooper Cup, right? He's not a he's like a possession. I was talking to a Seattle Seahawks fan. And I was like, he's a possession receiver right now. He's gonna get to that, he's gonna get you your your five and outs, he's gonna get him. Your hook routes, your curl routes, he's gonna get them. They got they got the offense to keep up with the rams, but then they got the defense to slow down the ramps. So I'm going with Seattle.
SPEAKER_00All right, I I don't disagree with you. I'm just honestly sticking with my guns and what I did with the start of the playoffs. If I wasn't doing that, I think the Seattle, the Seahawks are the better team. Like I said, I'm just hoping for turnover Sam to show back up.
