Saturday Wrestling Plans And Hype
SPEAKER_01Welcome, welcome, welcome to another episode of From Our Perspective. I'm your boy Dion Kim to you. So glad to coming back to you guys. But go ahead and like, subscribe, hit uh, leave a comment in that comment section. Once again, we thank each and every one of you guys for joining us for another episode. I'm joined by the man in the Memphis himself, Captain Hate Q. How are you doing on this fine day?

SPEAKER_01Hey, we got a we got a busy Saturday available. A busy Saturday. And it starts out early with Clash in Italy. I call it Clash of Rematches. I'm reaching a little bit with one of them, but we'll get to it a little bit more. But Clash of Rematches. And it starts at 2 p.m. Eastern time. So you know I got an ask you. It's the time that we both of us, we like it when it's like 2 p.m. We get to watch it. Then we get to indulge in adult activities afterwards.
SPEAKER_00You watching it live? Yeah. I'm going to be cooking some uh dirty cabbage for my sister. And I'm like, alright, you know, gave her the hey, so this wrestling come on at two. You want me down here? It's gotta be on the TV. You know what I mean? That's what you want, it's cool. I don't mind. But this wrestler's gonna have to be on the TV. That's all I'm saying. Yeah, no, I'm gonna be watching it live. Hey, two o'clock, three o'clock in the afternoon. Especially when I got something else to hold me over from later at night. I'm good.
SPEAKER_01I'm really good. And we got a game seven, but we'll get to that in another episode. But Clash of Clash of Italy, I call it Clash Rematch. Looking at the card, how are you feeling about it? Like I said, I'm calling it rematches because there's all of my rematches. I'm reaching with the Cody Gunther one, because that was a rematch almost a year ago when it was um in Saudi Arabia. But the rest of them, these were rematches that happened at least within the last six weeks, right?
SPEAKER_00So how do you feel about that? Even with the WrestleMania rematches, there was a six-woman tag for Jay and uh real, so even that, like you're saying. They just did that to certain nice main events. So the actual card, I I actually like the card. I didn't like how we gathered for some of the matches. So when we talk about the individual matches, we'll break that down. Like I said, I like the actual card. I'm always gonna say
Card Thoughts And Missing Title Respect
SPEAKER_00a sixth match wouldn't on this card wouldn't be that bad of an idea. Because you know where I'm about to go with this. Well uh look at this one second. There's this whole United States Women's Championship that I listen, what I say to you, pre-pod, Tiffany Strang didn't even remember she had this dag belt. She don't even remember that she's the champion. So they expect us to remember they could then live out here feuding with her. I don't I don't really know who's uh like uh I don't know who her opponent is. She out here helping real and Roxanne get over. Um, you the one with the belt, G. What we're supposed to be the other way over. You know what I'm saying? I don't neither her nor there, but like what I've been saying, there's a you Dion. You know, since the United States Women's Championship has been introduced, it's never been defended on a PLE. Not one time. Imagine the Intercontinental Women's Championship has been defended multiple times, but that's because who has it? Becky. The problem with the United States Women's Championship is they they ain't gave it to none of the heavy heater, heavy hitters yet. I have an idea of who they should give it to because obviously y'all ain't doing nothing with it. There's a name that I think they should give it to, and the name is Charlotte Claire. She's missing the title right now, too. I know that there's probably some plans for her down the road with Rhea for Russell for SummerSlam, but I think they should have Charlotte take this bell and then let Alexa Bliss be Rhea Ripley's opponent at Summersland. And I ain't saying, you know what? Turn Charlotte in Alexe. They both were excellent heels. Let both of them be heels, still be the tag team that they are, and then let both of them be heels and call them the double. Uh let them go be double belts. Want to have the United States in the tag team, and then Alexis can have the women's championship in the tag team. That's just the idea. I'm just throwing it out there.
SPEAKER_01Try that. You just you just try to get the United States women's title on TV more.
SPEAKER_00Not even on TV, on the PLE. I just want to give it some respect, give it some little credibility. That's all. You got this championship, give it some credibility. That's all I'm saying. I don't think that's how I don't think that's too much to
Our Point Prediction Rules
SPEAKER_00ask.
SPEAKER_01But you know, um so the uh clash in Italy is a five-match car, but we're gonna do six matches on prediction. It is a big time match Saturday night in AAA. We'll talk about that when we get there. So we do competent point predictions here, and from our perspective, the match you have the least confidence in, you give it a one point. The match you have the most confidence in, you give it six points. We'll add a uh prop better to another, probably just made an event for this show.
Cody Rhodes Vs Gunther Picks
SPEAKER_01But that's how it goes. We're gonna go ahead and start out with Cody versus Gunther. Um Bill was weird. This seems like a pivot because they they don't really know what they was really doing, but they pivot, and now we're here. I ain't mad at it. It's gonna be a good match. Like I said, this is a good excellent car. I expect all matches to be good. This should be good, but I think this will open up what you call the main show. There's a show that's a match that's in the first hour, but this will open up the main show.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we you know, we know that if there's what we what I say, the pre-show. That's what I call it. You won't keep giving it's the real show. And if it ain't on the app, it ain't the real show.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah, I still disagree with you, but I'm gonna go ahead and give my prediction. I've been saying it. I'm looking tired of Cody with this title. He needs to be back on the chase or just go away for a little bit into a different storyline that doesn't involve this title, but I don't see Gunther beating him. Not here, not in Clash of Italy. So I'm gonna go with Cody and I'm going with Cody with a three.
SPEAKER_00Okay. So I'm going Cody, I'm going Cody with a two. But I think Gunther should win. Because, like you said, we tired of seeing Cody with the tired of what if Cody, what if Sami Zayn, because we saw what happened on SmackDown last week. What if Sami Zayn cost him this match? And then we set up a Sami Zayn, Cody Rhodes feud that gets you to Summer Slam, that gets you through, you know, to whatever I'm Night of Championship, whatever one is after Summer Slam. I guess uh money in the bank. Money bank, yeah, money bank, yeah. What if Cody and Sammy feud that gives Sammy's uh heel turn some uh credibility? Credibility is I guess it's gonna be my word for that. And then it also gives Cody something else to do than be in the title pitcher. And then you can set up Gunther, he got the belt, he can go, Randy Horton can come out. We got some stuff, we got some stuff brewing over on Snapdragon. Even though they're about to go, they're about to cut down to two hours. And the United States Women's Championship definitely ain't gonna be no shame. Now I just thought of it. I just thought of that. But yeah, I'm I'll I'm going Cody with the two, but I won't gun to the win.
SPEAKER_01I girl, I'm gonna I'm gonna like Gun to the Win, but I just don't see them taking that belt off Cody.
Brock Lesnar Vs Oba Rematch Stakes
SPEAKER_01Um the match that is starting out the show, the rematches of all rematches, we talked about this in the last episode. I'm okay with them doing this because again, Oba ain't going after no into gotten in the title. And if he goes after the world title, clearly they they're not ready for him to lose, and clearly they're not ready for him to win it. So to keep them from doing that, instead of floundering and fighting with Otis and the Zower every week, Brock, let's go ahead and get this rematch. But uh, this has to be a trilogy. So I got Brock winning. I would like Oba to clean sweeping 3-0, but I think Brock wins it and they have the rubber match at SummerSlam in Brock's hometown. So I got I got Brock.
SPEAKER_00I got Brock with four. I got Brock with a I got Brock with a three. I got Brock with a three, and the only reason I we don't want to go higher is because I don't like you said, this wasn't the plan. I don't think this was the plan at all, but they didn't have nothing else for Oba to do those couple weeks because nothing transpired. So it's like, uh, you know, hit the panic button. I always say break the glass. That's why I talk shout out to Will. I always say break the glass. Break the glass. When you need somebody to come through, you ain't got nothing that you ain't got no plans, you ain't you need something. You call Brock Lesnar. I'm not 100% sure Brock Lesnar's going to win this match because then it's like, what about Knight of Champions? Do you do that the third match of Knight of Champions? Do you do it a summer slim? Like then, because then it's like you're stretching it out. Because then it's like, okay, what does Oma do from then into Summer Slim? Yeah, good point.
SPEAKER_01That's why I was like, uh in a while, because what is it? May Summer Slim is usually not till late July, early August.
SPEAKER_00Uh August 1st and August 2nd, I think, off the top of my head. Don't quote me a little bit. Like I said, by the champions is at the end of June. Yeah. So it's like, uh, what is Oma gonna do for between then and you know, between now and then? So I don't know if it's I'm that's why I said I got it. That I'm going with Brock because the normal booking says, go with Brock.

Over Under Prop Bet On Time
SPEAKER_01right, so we're gonna do a little prop bed for this one. Uh last match, last time the guys fought, it went under five minutes. It was like four or something. So I'm gonna set the overunder at two minutes and 30 seconds for your cue. Wherever you go, I'm gonna go opposite.
SPEAKER_00Okay. You had to say four. I think I would have said under, but since you said two, I'm going over.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna go over.
SPEAKER_01I think this could go quick, though. I think this could go. I I I said it kind of low. Realistically, if I was a real baby man, which I am, I would say it doesn't go more than four minutes, three, four minutes, but I'm gonna I'm gonna say under. I think this is one of them things Brock is gonna try to hit him with like five, six F5 pins on him, and it's gonna be one of them things where Oba kicks out, but the the three counts.
SPEAKER_00So Okay, okay. That's a very that's very booking. That's see, that's the thing. You if you go too quick with Brock, if it ain't like six F5s, it don't look, it's gonna make Oba look weak.
SPEAKER_01It took four on Monday night just to make just to keep them down.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so if it ain't like six, I don't I don't know. Uh I also got a problem real quick with this being, this is probably gonna be the opening match or the second match.
SPEAKER_01That's what uh that's what this says. That's what I'm looking at. It says this is gonna be the one on ESPN.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so it's like, okay, cool. This if this is the opening match, normally your guy at the main event, and then your second best match is the opening. Which I think this is the second best match, but I don't think it is. I think Cody Gunther is the second best match, or it should at least should be because is it other world type champion? Is it the second best match because of the world title? To you? It should be. But I also think Gunther and Cody's gonna put on the show because that's what they do. Okay, yeah. Me and you have worked always worked about how good of a worker Gunther is. And then Cody ain't no slouch, you know what I'm saying? So that's why I'm like this. And I know because you got three you got two world championship matches, and then you got this big match with big stars. Because ESPN won for Brock Lesnar and Oba. Oh ESPN. Well, I think it's on ESPN too, but they want them. Oh, I don't I don't care which one is on, but they want them on the app, so then that pushes Gunther and Cody to like a secondary road. You don't want your world championship in a secondary role. Yeah, good point. That's what they are though. Yeah, they're not even a secondary role, they're in the thirdary role. So wait, oh yeah, so that's new. It should have been on Saturday night's main event.
SPEAKER_01I wouldn't have hated it. That would have been the main event because there were some great matches. There was no it was not a lot of star power on that Saturday night's main event. Yeah, Baker Lynch is whole ruhers. Speaking of Baker
Becky Lynch Vs Sol Ruca Title Call
SPEAKER_01Lynch as Horuka, who just literally had a match last Saturday at Saturday Nation Main event, which ended in uh disqualification, which is why we are here now. Um, personally, they could have, like you said, they didn't need to have that match on Saturday Nation's main event. They could have put, you know, as a title out there that you keep referencing the WWE United States Women's Title, they could have, they could have put that title on Saturday Night's Main event. They would have got an actual clean finish. We we knew when they kept wondering if they wanted to make this a title or non-title match, it was some nonsense. It was either Sol Ruka was gonna do some nonsense to win, or it was gonna be a disqualification, something stupid like that. And it was a disqualification. We here, uh I just don't see them giving, I know they are on Soul Ruka, I just don't see them giving Sol Ruka the title this early. But I don't know. I'm gonna let you go first.
SPEAKER_00Okay. I think this is gonna be wrong. This is what I'm gonna go with. I'm gonna Sol Ruoka with a win. Okay. I think this is going to be this is me booking what I want versus me booking what I think. I want Sol Ruoka to win because I feel like they're gonna them two gonna they're gonna have a trilogy. I think it's setting up, and I think it uh it might be a little longer than the trilogy. I think it's probably finishing up at some time. Because you ain't gonna have nothing else, so if you build it up, I think they actually have a match, another match at the Night of the Champions. So why not give Soluka the win now? Just so Becky can end up taking it back at some point. Because if not, who does if you don't if you don't take the belt off of uh Becky Lynch now, what's the is the payoff SummerSlam? So she's gonna lose, she wins this one, loses the next one, and then ultimately gets it back at SummerSlam or loses it again. I think I think they should have the shock value of a title change on on the clash of Italy. Because I don't think I really really don't think the other titles is gonna change it. I think this one is the best opportunity to do.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that'll be that that'll be the shock of all shocks, I think. Because I think she's deserving of a title. It's just she's just got caught up to the main ride. She hasn't had a cup of coffee yet. So we'll see. But I I I'm gonna go with Becky. You going with one, I'm gonna go with five. I'm not gonna give it all of it because I got my confidence in the super hard in another match. But I I'm not mad at you because I would like Saruka to win. But since you went out on a limb on that match, I'm gonna go out on limb on the next one.
Rhea Ripley Vs Jade Cargill Momentum
SPEAKER_01With Rhea and Jade with the world uh the WWE women's title. I'm gonna go with Jade with one. I just think Jade is hotter at the moment with the hello. I won't say sidekicks, but with her sidekicks beside her, I think she got a little bit more momentum than Rhea. I don't know. Rhea just ain't she ain't doing it for me right now. I don't know what it is. Maybe she's just because she ain't got judgment day by her side, but she ain't she ain't doing it for me right now.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. I agree with you as far as the Rhea. Rhea ain't it ain't it ain't popping off the screen right now like it normally does, but I think part of the reason why it ain't popping off the screen right now is because from the fact she ain't got no real, ain't don't ain't no real eat, it don't feel like. And it also feels like this J Card deal is a throwaway. It to me it feels like we already know the outcome, but we have to, we're gonna do the rematch. Like Six Woman, uh, Six Woman said was to extend this out so them two don't have to face each other at certain night's main event. Uh I'm gonna go with I I hope you're right, but I'm gonna go with real. Let me say that first. I hope you're right, but I'm gonna go with real. And I'm gonna go with real. What I'm gonna be one, two, and three.

Tribal Combat And Shock Booking
SPEAKER_01Tribal combat. We've seen a million of these, seems like over the past six or so years. Roman Reigns versus Jacobo. We obviously know the Usos, they all get involved somehow. It's gonna be a fun match. Usually, tribal combats are fun match, even though they've been a little redundant. This is gonna be a fun match. Both these guys are excellent workers. Uh I you can go either way. I'll let you pick first, though.
SPEAKER_00Okay, cool. I'm gonna I'm gonna ask this man why it's not my man. You can answer once you store. We know the Usos is coming out. You think Roy Skies is coming out in the backup? I'm gonna go then you can answer that when it shows when you get ready wrong. Oh I think here's my I knew he was gonna do this, and I wanted to pick Jacob. And I was gonna pick Jacob with a two. Right. But once we started doing the pod, I was like, I ain't gonna let Roman loose. You know what I'm saying? And what I always say, this is real competition to me, so I ain't gonna let DLB. You know what I mean? So for that reason, I'm going Roman with a five. I think the better booking decision would be for Jacob, because Roman been selling for Jacob. After all these beatdowns, Roman's been selling. It's like he wants to get Jacob over. He's trying to get Jacob over, and the best way to do that is for Jacob to win the world title. Now, I don't know if WWE's ready to commit to Jacob being the champion. I think they should, because the simple fact wrestling has to become to the point where it's so predictable. Like the last PLE, there was really no competition. Me and you both knew what it was. And it's also gotten to the point where championships really only change hands, like the big championships, only change hands of SummerSlam or WrestleMania. Mm-hmm. We need some, we need some different, we need some splashes. What you say? What's the point of having all these? You have all these PLEs. There should be some wow factor. It should make you want to watch because you don't know what the outcome is going to be. So I think Jacob should win. But because this is a competition with you, and I don't want to lose, I'm gonna run with factory.
SPEAKER_01I gotta run with two. I I didn't even consider Jacob winning this thing. I ain't even gonna hold you. Didn't even consider it. I got it at two just because that's how things lined up. And I wasn't gonna give him my six because the next match we talk about, I got I know what my six is. They'll be fools if they give it to some, if they do it to somebody else, and give the other person a win. But I just got a room with I got rumor with two. I just think he wins it. It's gonna be a thing. Roman's not losing that thing to probably summer slim. I don't know who he faces. I was assuming it was gonna be Oba, but it looks like they might got different players for Oba. So we'll see.
SPEAKER_00I thought of Gunther, too, but Gunther's over SmackDown, so I don't know. It would have them too. I don't know who it is.
SPEAKER_01Now that I think about only people on Raw that can believe we take that title is probably Jacob and Oba. I can't think anybody else that can believe we take that title from.

Injuries Factions And Wasted Talent

SPEAKER_00So division, they're talking about adding members. That tag's like a perfect hurt.

SPEAKER_00The only person who hasn't got hurt is Austin Theory, but he was so late to join when we all thought, you know, we was waiting on him. So yeah, no, they need I don't need, and there's the thing. Who do they even add to the vision? I can't think of no obvious choice. The only obvious choice is Burst and Waller, but that don't make sense because him and Austin Thurry part of ways anyway. So which Burst and Waller. Well, they need to find something for him. They need to find something for him.
SPEAKER_01And he's damn good too, man. Like, come on. Like, just they got just they got good people on the bench. And they be calling them for pay cuts. Man, put before you give me ask for a pay cut, put me up, put me out there on the field and let me show you what I can do. Don't ask for a pay cut first. That's a great point.
SPEAKER_00Put me in a storyline first. Before you ask me for a pay cut, put me in the storyline and see what I can do with it. And if I don't do nothing with it, okay, cool. You can ask me for the pay cut. But give me the opportunity first. You've been having me in catering for this long, having me be in a job before people. That's the other thing. It's any job.

AAA Mask Vs Mask Main Event
SPEAKER_01But let's go ahead and move on to the match of all matches. Probably the biggest feud since Austin Rock. The biggest main event since what? Cody Roman at WrestleMania 40. Or if you want to say Rock Austin at 19 or 17, I think I think 17 was the biggest one. You want to say Rock Austin at 17. You want to say Undertaker and Shawn Michaels at 26, the biggest match since then. And conveniently, Undertaker is one in the men booking it. And it's crazy. From where that thing went to to where it is now. Who would have thought? We got Mass versus Mass, uh original El Grind Americano, Chad Gable versus El Grind Americano, Lugo Kaiser. Excellent. I don't know how they did it. That just shows again. Put people in the storyline showing what they can do. They made magic out of it. And no, everybody in Mexico, AAA fans all over the world are super invested in this match. I'm invested in the match, and I don't even watch Triple A like. I'm going to tune into this main event because I know who I think who, not think, but who should win. And he's going to give my six. I'm assuming he's going to give you a six. But we know who's going to win. We know who's going to be the one to get unmasked and should be the one to get a mask. He needs to come back and get some his aka team angle stuff with the Creek Brothers, because they've been cooking as well, too, since he joined. So shout out to them for actually showing off again. Put people on some storylines. They show you they can do things. But give me your thoughts on this Mass versus Maz original Americano versus Little Grind Americano.
SPEAKER_00Okay. So remember when El Grind Americano came out, and I was like, hey, let's get this over with. I used to hate opening this thing so hard to the point to where now I'm like, you know what? This is a good thing. This turned out to be a good little storyline, but what made it this storyline was injury. Chad Gable got hurt. So they had to they wanted to continue the storyline. And Luba Kazer, you ain't doing nothing. Come on. Come on and hurt. Now I'm going with the the new, can we call him the new? Can we call him the new uh a grande? Um the reason I'm going with as it has been reported, the man had a little situation where he had to go to he had to go to the people. He had to go, you know what I'm saying? The man, the people came and got him, got the bell him out. That's his boy. I got forgetting. That's my boy. Hey, boys of life. Come on, come on, bro. Come on now. Uh but especially when we find out what it was over and he was defending a woman. You can't have him lose. A Mexican woman at that. You can't have that man lose.
SPEAKER_01He already wasn't losing.
SPEAKER_00That just made him a bigger hero. Man, who was I listening to? Uh hey, uh before the Bell Podcast. They said he might as well come out with uh Chad Gabriel need to come out with the mask to just hand it to him because you already know he ain't losing. Yeah. Yeah, hey, I'm with you when I'm with you with not more when you're right. Chad Gabriel was up for you they're gonna put on a good match because both folks are good workers. But we already know the outcome. We know the outcome. Now I want to see how they spin it after the fact.
SPEAKER_01That's important. Because Chad Gable, he could you can put a rocket on him after this. With the creep, like I said. Y'all see the work he's doing with the Korean buzzer down there. Continue that up on the main rosters, please. And thank you.
SPEAKER_00Don't have him come back to go back taxing the United States championship. I mean it is a conflict, because I think he's on rock. Don't have him come back to do that. Roman needs somebody. He needs to be a wrestling machine. Roman needs somebody here. He seems what this man can do. Let this man cook. So I'm saying Shangel, you had a good run down at AAA. SPEAKER_01So, but yeah, uh, you you you read the card out pre-pod. I don't I I really wasn't aware of what's going on too much. I really knew about the mass versus mass again. Biggest WrestleMania match since Rock Austin and WrestleMania or biggest uh main events was Rock Austin at WrestleMania 17.
