You know, Night of Champions happened. And it happened in a good time. Because no one o'clock, I need more than one o'clock PLEs, but it was inside. Uh I gotta say it was a pretty good episode of Night of Champions. No, honestly Night of Champions. You're supposed to, you know, when it was first introduced, it was all the titles was on the line, but you know, we didn't have that. But I digress, but let's go ahead and talk about it a little bit. You know, we can start out. I started out with the King of the Ring over Femi beating Jay Uso, uh Braun and Self, great match, self-won. Trick Wills beat Ricky Saints, Jay um Tiffany Stridden defeated Jay Cargan with some help of Charlotte Blair, um Quinn of Ray, E.O. Sky beat Saliv Morgan, and the shocker of the PLE. Semi Zayn wins the triple third match against Cody Rose and Gunther. Uh like I said, solid PLE. But I gotta ask you, Q, how did you feel about the PLE? I thought it was pretty solid.

Man, it was okay, it was some unexpected victory, so that always makes it great. There was the matches was good. We had six matches, and none of them felt short. Don't get me wrong, I know it was a couple that was under 10 minutes, but none of them felt short. So overall, I felt like it was a good PLE.

So let's go ahead and just talk about it one match at a time. We some matches we're not gonna talk about at length as much, but we're also gonna talk about what happened on Monday when we get to a certain match and certain wrestlers, because they have some of Slim's plans starting to get starting to get

Oba Femi Wins And Moves On

realized. But we can start out again with the King of the Ring. That was the first match of the PLE. Or with BJ. No interference, uh, no Brock Lesnar, no bloodline, or would just be the clean. Now it was a little bit more of a competitive match than you probably would expect from an over, especially since he's been dominating everybody except for Brock. He dominated Dom Monday, but solid match. Uh can't complain too much. I think it was the right winner. Now we'll talk about it here in a second. They kind of went back on a word a little bit, but how do you feel about the match? And we can go ahead and talk about what happened on Monday as well. I feel like the match was good.

I do wish it was, I wish it was more of like a beatdown in a sense. Don't get me wrong, I love Jay, and Jay get a lot of hate on social media, and I don't feel like it's deserving, but he does get a lot of hate on social media. That being said, I wish it was more of a beat down to further establish of who Oba is. But I do also get the fact that Jay is a former champion. So you couldn't just make him look, you know, crazy.

Brock Lesnar Sets Hell In Cell

look crazy. Uh, but Monday night, Oba went out. Me, uh I know I expect him to go ahead and challenge Roman, you know, Roman Oba, and it would be the main event. We did not get that. Brock Leslie came out, talked a little shit, kicked him in the balls, F5, Oba got mad, and he challenged him for a match of SummerSlam. Brock Lesnar went up him, said Hell in a Cell match, which a lot of people on the social media was like, okay, and we should have two matches, one on night one, one on night two. I don't know why so many people was like talking about that. I was against it, but a lot of people wanted him to face Brock Lesnar on night one, to face Roman Reigns on night two. Cool, but I I ain't want that for real. I think that's a little bit doing a little bit too much. But we get Brock Lesnar versus Oba Femi in the hell in the cell on SummerSlam. That'll probably be night one's main event. I'm pretty sure. How you feel, how they did it. I'm not too upset about it. Because basically what they said is Oba, he's not getting it at SummerSlam, he's gonna get it at a later date. So I'm cool with that. But how you feel about it? Some people wasn't fans of it.

Okay, I'm trying to think, for the life of me, I can't think of it was on Busted Open Radio. I can't think of the Hall of Fame who originally started with probably I think Bubba Ray. I think okay, I think it was Bubba Ray. He should have a Oba should go night one, night two. But he was saying this before Night of Champions. He was saying Oba should go night one and night two. I mean I was listening to Paul Heyman do his interview. I can't think of the guy's name, but the big wrestling guy he does all the interviews. Paul Heyman did the interview. And he he talked about how ECW, the one thing that they always did was kept their word. If we said this was gonna be this person's last match, this was their last match. If it was if this tag team was gonna break up, this was they broke up and they didn't get back together. So I wish they would have kept their word, but we all knew this was gonna be the outcome of Oba versus Brock. We knew that was coming. So only way it was gonna make sense was if Oba did too nice, and I don't think that's too much to ask. He's still new to the game, you know what I mean? I think that's where that's too much to ask on anybody, but only way they could have fixed it is they made it a triple crown. I mean a triple threat.

sell. You're right. Uh next match, Queen of Ring, Eos kind of defeated Liv Morgan. Liv Morgan got cursed by Denhausen at the beginning. It's a cool match. Once Denhausen cursed her, you knew what it was. I mean, I kind of knew, we kind of knew what it was before because it made no sense for Liv to be even in his position. But the more shocking thing was like right after the match, he was like, All right, Liv, I beat you. I'm gonna see you at SummerSlam, I'm gonna take your title. So she's going for after Liv, they're gonna start their feud. They started on Monday, they off to the races. How you feel about EOS Cott versus Liv Morgan at Knight of Champions, and then how you feel about Eel Scott basically, let's just run this bank at SummerSlam.

Uh, you know, you know how I feel about EO. I ain't gonna never say nothing about EO match. So they uh did a thing. The Dan Houser stuff is starting to it's not wearing thin on me, but I feel like they pushing it too much. Because it's like he's he's on both shows. He's cursing people, but he don't actually have a program. He just came out and put him in an actual program and let him battle that out.

Um the match, the match is good. Like I said, I'm never gonna throw no shade on EO. I'm glad they announced it then because it gave it, it gave uh Liv a reason to be in this tournament. Because before it was like, why is Liv even here? This doesn't even make sense, this doesn't even make sense. So I'm glad they announced then. So it was like, hey, I beat you. We ain't gonna question this. Me and you holler at you on SummerSlam. Now it's gonna be a bunch of who's gonna come out and help EO because like we saw on Monday night, it's gonna be a bunch of the Judgment Day jumping on. Somebody's gotta come out and help Eo. So, and I'm also sad of Rachel Rodriguez, me and like just out here to beat up on people for live. Like, she should be doing something.

Steel Cage War And Booking Frustrations

gonna talk about Self versus Braun. I think this was the match of the night in the steel cage. I like the way they started it, the ending was cool. Now I was shocked that Self won it at that moment. I'm like, what? So we just burying Braun like that, but it makes more sense. On Monday, Self is challenging Roman Reigns for the World Everyway title or something, so that I get it. You got you gotta have Self win that match. If that was the if that was what you was gonna do, you kind of had to. I was a little said, like, damn, where does Braun go from here? Because now he didn't watch that man was like white hot a year to what eight months ago. Now he I don't know, but I like to me it was the match of the night, had a great vision with Braun bleeding all over the place. So I enjoyed it, especially like I said, the start was amazing the way they started out, but self won it, shocked at the moment, but I understand then we can talk about Roman Run the Self, but what was your um Braun and Self still cage?

So I was pissed when I saw when well not when I saw when I was watching it self-won, when Braun didn't come back, kick back out because it does point to WWE still don't know how to book younger talent. They still booking day 40 year olds, they 40 plus year olds to still be the main events. So it was like Brian needed to win that match.

He needed, he needed that win because, like you said, now it's like, all right, next week is gonna be a division uh versus the street profits for the championships. You know they're gonna lose, so okay, what what happens next? Are you bringing Baron Corbin back to you know solidify the tag team division? Brian Brecker shouldn't be going back to the tag team. No. I get like the Logan Powell's injured, like they it's too much. Like what we keep saying about division, it ain't nothing but a curse. This is curse itself. It don't even need down housing to be uh but like you said, Brian Brecker needed that win. I understand why they did it because that's the direction they was going to, but I I wish they would have found some other way to do it. But that that that payoff, if that was gonna be the case, that payoff should have happened weeks ago.

Yeah. We shouldn't even add this match real to get them away from each other. Because Brian needs this win, but we'll see what they do with Brian. Uh that will probably be the main event of a night to Roman Reigns versus Seth Rollins. Like I said, I'm more excited for Brock versus Oba Hell in Cell, but you you tell me I'm wrong.

If they do, okay, it needs a stipulation, obviously, because of the history that them two cat, them two got. It got it can't just be a regular match. If it has a stipulation on it, because of the history, because of them two gonna be able to build up to it. Because we the build-up for Oba versus Brock, Brock ain't gonna be there but two or the five weeks.

So they're gonna do it, they're gonna do a pull-apart bra, they're gonna do a probably obey gonna come out and talk for a while, they're gonna do a video package, and then they'll probably do a contract sign. That's it.

Yeah, so I that's why I'm like, if they do the the Roman in the South storyline has has the potential to be the better storyline because of the simple fact, and also the potential to be the better match because it's actually Braun near, I mean not Braun, uh over and Brock Lesnar. You know, Brock Lesnar ain't fighting over 12 minutes.

No, this is just gonna be a destruction in that thing. They they're gonna go for about 10. They'll probably go for it's hella sale. He usually goes under 10, but it's hella sale. So so, but um, hey, night, night two, like I said, Summer Slim is already looking shaping up to be pretty good.

Jade Vs Tiffany And Charlotte’s Interference

Another match that's probably gonna be on Summer Slim is Jade Clark Gill versus Charlie Flair. Probably gonna be a non-title match because Jade lost to Tiffany, but Charlie Fleur cost her the match. I would have preferred it be for the United States title, but I'm okay if they want to put these two women on the show non-title, just make sure you put the U.S. title on the show as well. It's gonna be like 13, 14 matches. Please and thank you. But uh Tiffany Jade did you did it fit your fancy, and then Charlotte versus Jay, the SummerSlam, which hopefully it should happen, but it's gonna be for non-title more than likely now.

As long as the U.S. women's title get on the SummerSlam card, I'm okay with this not being a title match because the simple fact it's it's a storyline built in in itself. Charlotte Fleur keeps costing Jay titles. Jay's gonna try to get her. Cool. As long as the U.S. women's title still gets shine on the card, I'm fine with this being a non-title match. Because I don't feel like they need it. Uh I just hope, you know, Alexa Bliss has something to do, so it ain't just a bunch of Me Chan.

Yeah, and I don't really like because one, I think Me Chan is a better wrestler, and I think she deserves a little more love. Yeah, she deserves more love. She does a little no shade to B Fab, but I'm just saying I I seen Me Chen do her thing. I think she deserves a little bit of something. So uh I hope it ain't just a bunch of I'm gonna them two gonna interfere. Alexa Bliss is gonna come and help, and then the match is over. You know what I'm saying? I want them two to actually wrestle the match. Uh J. Cargill and Tiffany. I like the match. We all know them two ain't gonna be the greatest technical match because they ain't got chemistry, man.

Trick Williams Wins And Ricky’s Future

The next up, the man's United States Power Trick was defeated Ricky Sainks. It was cool. I think the highlight of it was Ricky Sinks pulling the Eddie Guerrero to get a little yaddy yada. That was cool. It was a solid, it was an okay match, nothing spectacular. Um, I'm a little upset how they did Ricky at the end. Like, dang, I just gonna bury him like hey, try to get his heat back and got hit, got uh hit with the the call it the uh little yachty rock bottom or whatever you want to call it. Like, damn, what are we gonna do with Ricky? But uh I guess Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes is the match for SummerSlam. Uh, I guess Ricky's gonna be on the sideline for SummerSlam, but we maybe a triple threat. I'm okay with Trick versus Carmelo and SummerSlam, but Ricky, Ricky and Trick, it was it was okay. Nothing was nothing crazy about it.

It probably was my least favorite match out of all of them, to be honest with you. It was my least favorite match. Uh like you said, it did it wasn't exciting, nothing happened. You know, Trick Willie, that's my boy. But this match, like you said, like I said, the interest in that 80 Gorilla spot I was in. That was the highlight of the match. And then, like you said, at the end, they kind of I think you gotta put Ricky Saints in the triple third because the simple fact the way y'all just buried him a little bit. Yeah, yeah. At the end of at the end of that match, let I mean, I get it. You gotta let Yachty get his shine off because Yachty Yachty is showing up every week, being like he's dedicated, he's doing his part, so you gotta give him a little shine. But so I I think you gotta kind of do the triple thread just to give Ricky Saints some credit back at this point. Give him some credibility back at this point.

Sami Zayn Stuns Cody And Gunther

shotgun night. Sami Zayn defeated Cody, Rose, and Gunter. He basically defeated Cody Rose on a little roll-up. I said, I was shocked. Like, even though I picked him, I didn't expect him to do it. Uh they they pulled the trigger on Sammy Zayn. I'm happy for it. Now I don't know where they're gonna go for Summer Slim. I saw there were some spoilers. There were some spoils that maybe Cody and it may be Drew, uh maybe Jay, maybe a triple threat. Who knows? But hey, Sami Zay is your world WWE universe undisputed champion. I'm excited, well deserved. He earned it, and now he is a uh Grand Slim champion. Shout out to Sami Zay.

You called it, and man, my uh my little cousin. I was having my mom do something, and my uncle and my cousin came over, and my cousin was like, Didn't you say he was gonna win in Saudi Arabia? And I said, Yeah, but I I said next year at WrestleMania. I I thought he was gonna go through a year of being a lovable loser for a little bit or being a heel that's a loser that's keep getting his opportunity, missing opportunities. I didn't think he was gonna actually get it this year. I was off badass, so credit to you for even picking that with the one. So because I ain't because I really didn't even consider that as an option, to be honest with you. I just thought it was gonna be Cody and that was it.

Yeah, that's the only reason why I picked it because it was in Saudi Arabia. I know he's like a guy there for some reason. I mean, I'm like Sammy Zayn's a great dude, great humor, so I ain't no shade. But hey, pull the trigger now. I was tired of Cody being a champion. Now we'll see how long Sammy holds his title. I don't expect it to be a very long run. I don't expect him to hold it into WrestleMania season. I'll be shocked, but hey, new champion. I don't mind a couple people hoping a uh a title. That's what they did in the uh attitude era.

Oh yeah, he didn't make it to SummerSlam. He ain't got no like the the only thing would have worried me, because it was talking about him losing it to Brock Lesnar and um Saturday night's maple band. But since they met basically they established, hey, Oba is just going to forego his title match and SummerSlam and just push it to a later day, and that that clears up of that. So hey. This is what five weeks?
